    Sweet and Spicy Garlic Chicken

I AM RELIEVED. I usually drive about 35 mins to just get a great Korean Fried Chicken in Lynnwood. To my surprised, a good one, this teriyaki place test selling their Korean fried chicken from 5-9PM. A proper Korean fried chicken should be flavorful, juicy yet most importantly CRUNCHY. This Korean fried chicken, checked everything in the box. I am relieved, I don't have to drive that far for amazing Korean fried chicken.

Taste is still there but the prices have gone up since last month, lunch special is now over $12 with tax.

Their teriyaki sauce is little salty and too sweet for me so I always order sauce on the side to control the sauce amount. Broccoli beef has more beef than broccoli which is good. Beef and short-rib combo I ordered was very small portion. But their beef or short rib is good for sure. It is not fast teriyaki place but it is okay for me. I do not like soft chicken teriyaki so I order very well done chicken teriyaki. I see some reviews saying their korean food is good, so I'd better try that next time.

I'm a huge fan of Kami Teriyaki. Sometime last year, this place was bought out by different owners and I like it even more now. The food is fresh, made fast, and is enough for me to have another meal the next day. I always see people eating here, no matter the time of day. That's always a good indicator of the quality of food, don't you think? My staples when I order are, of course, chicken teriyaki and fried rice. I've had other things such as the gyoza, yakisoba, and egg flower soup. The Yakisoba is a bit heavy but not greasy, just rich in flavor. If you see any reviews of Kami Teriyaki prior to 2017, then it's based on the former owners. The menu, food, and staff were all rehauled.

Happened to stop in this place when my regular Teriyaki place closed early. I will not be going back to this one as there was several disappointments. Lady at the front counter was very nice but apparently had communication issues. I asked for spicy Katsu and she said no problem. I receive just normal Katsu. I asked if it was chicken breast and she nodded her head... I actually have no clue if it was white or dark meat. Also asked for no salad just rice but still got salad and some weird side soup that was not edible. I ordered two spicy Katsu's and a side order of gyoza. Gyoza were nice and crispy but you could tell the meat quality was just so-so. I got 8 gyoza for $5 but barely any sauce to dip 1 of them... I am sorry but their food is not good enough to go sauceless and I was extremely displeased with the sauce issue. My spicy Katsu was not spicy and they did not put any sauce on them. Instead I got one small tub of sauce for two full portions of katsu. The meat quality was very questionable. Some pieces looked dark others white with chewy parts throughout. I had to bust out random sauce at home to choke it down.

Although we didn't order any dishes that made use of the advanced tabletop, I still think it's so cool! Despite the tables also having a digital kiosk, I appreciated how they still handed us actual menus and manually took our order, both of which are becoming less common these days. Our group started with some hot tea and ordered three dishes which was the perfect amount to share. We loved each item and I enjoyed tasting the various banchan side dishes (included with most main menu items): broccoli, traditional kimchi, omelet, potato, salad and kimchi cucumbers. I can be picky about kimchi, but this one had an ideal balance between tartness, spice, slight sweetness and umami. Their kimchi cucumbers were also a hit as they were refreshing with a tantalizing heat. + SEAFOOD PANCAKE ($25): My first time having a seafood pancake and it won't be my last! It was hot right off the pan with a crispy golden exterior. The seafood included baby shrimp, baby octopus and calamari. It seemed like the portion of seafood was reasonable since I had some in almost every bite, however I don't recall seeing much shrimp... mostly calamari and octopus. They added a lot of green onion, which I personally liked as it gave the pancake an element of freshness. This came with a side of soy dipping sauce, but I enjoyed it as is. The portion size was generous for the three of us. + KIMCHI BEEF TOFU SOUP ($22): This soup was basically a comforting hug in a stone pot. It arrived at our table, still bubbling, with a small bowl of rice. While there wasn't a ton of beef in the soup, the pieces were lean and tender and there was enough to split between the three of us. I loved the smooth silky tofu, and the kimchi gave the soup a little tang. Adding a scoop of rice into my personal bowl and pouring the soup on top made for perfect bites as the grains absorbed the broth. We requested a medium spice level which was just right for me. + HOT POT BI-BIM-BAP w/ CHICKEN ($25): You can't go wrong with this dish! Carrots, radish, zucchini, bean sprouts, spinach and a raw egg topped the bed of rice along with our protein choice of chicken. We stirred in the egg immediately and I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables in the bowl. The chicken was delicious as well and seemed to have a slightly sweet marinade. The best part is the little bites of rice that crisped up against the side of the bowl, adding some toasty notes and texture. We forgot to drizzle on some of the red chili sauce provided with the dish, so I'll need to do that next time! The three of us had a terrific dinner here and the service is so kind. We were checked on three times, which surpassed my expectations. We came for an early dinner on Sunday, so it was relatively quiet, even shortly after 6:00P. Even if the restaurant was full, the tables are spaced comfortably apart and I noticed they even had a separate section that is walled off for a larger group. Parking is also easy, running right alongside the neighboring walking trail. Needless to say, I'll be back!

I love pho, but Kalbi Tang is a Astro up in general and here at Daeho is another step up Kalbi Tang primarily because of the meat flavor and thickness. Not a big fan of the glass noodles and still giving the dish 5 stars. The quantity of meat is also solid. This will fill you up no doubt, it better be for near $30. The first time I visited, the quality of the meat cuts didn't impress me, and the soups lacked depth of flavor. I'm not talking about needing more salt--the broth itself just tasted flat. When you're paying close to $30 for a bowl of soup, I think it's reasonable to expect a higher level of quality and care to ingredients. The second visit was a mixed experience. To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. Menu consist of fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, teriyaki, yakisoba and stir-fried veggies, and there add-ons and alternatives to choose from for some of these. We all got their chicken sandwich with regular fries, though one of my friends and I decided to get it on hot spicy crispy instead. The spice wasn't actually too bad, it was in fact a nice oomph to the meal. I was surprised that the "patty" of the burger was actually two separate pieces of their crispy chicken instead of just one. Now this wasn't too big of a deal, and the chicken itself was tasty but it was dry and there was a ton of sauce inside the burger, so the rest of the burger condiments slipped out easily as I was gripping the sandwich to my mouth. One of my friends experienced the same thing as well with his meal. On the plus side, the fries were appropriately salty, and were very filling. Everything looks small here but you get full really, really fast! Complimentary cabbage salad: it was very crunchy and fresh, the dressing was creamy, sweet and every so slightly tangy. Yakisoba: great noodle to topping ratio. Pretty much at least one topping in every noodle bite. The veggies had a very nice blanched texture and were added a light crunch to each bite. The sauce was as tad on the sweet side for me though.
