They also "confiscated" the Temporary Inspection Certificate issued by the NYS DMV claiming it was "illegal" claiming the issue date was the expiration date and not even acknowledging the "issue date" clearly shown in the certificate. The tires in question had 20,000 miles on them with an 80,000 warranty. They were horrible and bullying. Went across the street to Mr. Tire and had an inspection certificate in 15 minutes - no deficiencies noted. Was also treated with respect and courtesy there which was seriously lacking by the Firestone employee. One of the worse retail experiences we've had in our lives.

I stopped at the Mavis on Transit on my way home back to Rochester for air, and their pump wasn't in service. Their mechanic Burra came outside and told me to pull around to the side and he'd put air in it. Without me even asking, he tightened my valve stem which was loose and offered to patch my tire. Granted, I didn't come here expecting to pay anything, but I knew it needed to be fixed and he got me right into the garage on the spot. Truly some awesome folks that work here, especially Burra, who show they care about the people who stop in. If i'm in Buffalo and need a new tire, I know where i'll stop now!

This was by far the slowest process I've ever experienced for something as basic as checking a tire. To make it worse, there were only three cars in the garage at the time, so there's really no excuse for the delay. What should have been a quick 15-30 minute check turned into a long, close to 2 hour wait. Overall, the service felt extremely slow and unorganized. I would not recommend coming here if you need something done efficiently. It took them roughly two hours to patch 1 tire.

Just two months earlier, my brakes were inspected at West Herr (with video proof) and were in good condition. To double-check, I brought my car back to West Herr for another inspection. They confirmed my brakes were fine and I passed with no issues. This experience shows Monro is either completely untrustworthy in their inspections or deliberately trying to upsell unnecessary repairs. Either way, I'll never return and would strongly caution others against going here.
