I just had Aaron Overhead Door replace our original wooden garage doors and chain-driven Genie garage door openers with high quality metal doors and LiftMaster units, and what a difference it made! The old doors were heavy, unattractive, and water damaged, and the openers noisy and unsafe (pre-dated availability of auto-reverse safety feature). The owner -- Larry -- was extremely helpful during the entire process, recommending what kind of doors to use for our application, which openers worked best, etc. (took his time answering my questions). He also quoted a fair & reasonable price for the job, and accommodated us in regards to the installation date. The new garage doors are lighter, stronger, and far more attractive with windows installed. The LiftMaster garage door openers are quiet (battery operated), belt-driven, and energy efficient. Even the wall-mounted touch pads are Hi-Tech which automatically turn on the garage door lights via motion sensors when you enter the garage, and display the time & garage temperature. The installation itself went quickly and without a hitch. The installer -- Julian -- arrived promptly, was courteous & professional, and installed the new doors and openers in approximately four hours. Larry showed up towards the end of the installation, helped set up all of the devices (remotes, keypad, etc.), and offered to come back for the first maintenance free of charge. They also hauled away the old doors and openers, and swept the garage before leaving. We ended up at Aaron after trying several "recommended" dealers who never seemed to be open. We ended up with Denice who was knowledgeable, helpful and more than happy to wait on us and answer a multitude of questions. She gave us a quote on the spot. When Mark came out to measure and quote all went well. He was courteous and professional as were the two installers who showed up later that week. They were able to take down our 4 old doors, install 4 new ones, 2 new garage door openers, and leave my place clean and tidy and work complete all in one day. it was awesome! I had to leave part way through the day and was not going to return until they were gone. That was no problem. I had no qualms about leaving my home. They secured everything and all was locked tight upon my arrival home. The window inserts had not been installed but this took nothing more than a quick call back to Denice who had Mark come out and put them right in. I didn't even know he had been here until I walked out and voila, there they were! All-in-all, we had a great experience here and definitely would recommend. One of our garage door springs broke. I got a call back from Larry in about 1 1/2 hours and he dispatched John, who arrived less than an hour later. It seemed that John had the last set of springs for my installation and did the installation plus a general service. Everything was excellent. I would caution those who are very cost conscious to do some research. Springs are apparently the most common problem (we had them replaced 8 years ago) and I think the price was a bit high (only reason I did not give a 5). John did recommend that I lubricate the springs once a year. I was not aware of that before. It is now in my calendar. read more

Paul showed up just as I was going to install a new garage door opener. He reviewed the situation and said it was not the Old garage door; it was the out of balance garage doo itself and the top plate was pulling away. He recommended metal plates bolted to hold the plate together. He balanced and oiled the door. I installed the metal plates but the garage door still would not go down correctly. I found these guys on yelp and called after my Garage Door motor failed. I called and they sent out a service technician early the next day. The service technician (Paul) was very knowledgable and after reviewing the problem advised that the motor needed to be replaced. He provided some options on the replacement and advised that he'd let me know the installation time once he had identified a replacement unit. I had another company out on an emergency basis a few days ago and their knowledge and customer service were both very poor, so I paid their service fee but sent them away and told them I wanted a second opinion. We called Aaron for that second opinion and are so glad we did! Federico came out at the scheduled time, inspected everything, pointed out what he recommended, quoted a very reasonable price and had all the parts to repair it immediately, which he then did. I've used Aaron Overhead door twice and I heard about them from a referral at work. The first time was at my townhouse and the Screw Drive Carriage (I call it the "turtle" because it moves back and forth along the track up there) was stripped. Aaron Overhead Door replaced it and the door worked great. Now we're at a new house and the garage door is "smiling" - completely worn out weatherstripping and a big gap between the door and the concrete. Aaron Overhead Door replaced the weatherstripping with a perfect color match and now leaves can't blow into the garage. And no critters can come in, either. We replaced our old garage doors after a car hit and destroyed one of them with Aaron Overhead Door. They were perfect and a year later we had a similar incident where a car backed into one - but this time the doors did not sustain much damage other than getting bumped off the tracks and not being able to close. Right before Christmas, at I'm sure a peak busy time, Larry came out the SAME DAY I called, worked on the door and got it working smoothly again and then didn't even charge me, as if it was still under warranty - even though we caused the damage! Horribly unreliable! I scheduled an appointment on Wednesday to have someone do routine maintenance on our garage door on Friday from 8-10am. On Friday, nobody showed up by 10am . At 10:30, I called Aaron Overhead Door, and the person I talked to said they would contact the technician to handle it. I didn't hear anything back, so I called again at 12:30pm. This time, I stayed on the line while they asked the technician when they'd be at my house, and he said within an hour (so, by 1:30). Since they'd asked me for my address and telephone number each time I called (don't they record it somewhere?!), I know it would have been possible for them to call me to let me know there was going to be a delay. But they never did. At 2:20pm, I called Aaron Overhead Door and canceled the appointment. read more
