My transmission light came in as I was going through Vacaville and my car suddenly wouldn't go more than 30 mph. The guys at Les Schwab said they don't do transmission work but recommended Aaron's (without hesitation). It was after 5pm when I got to his shop, at the end of the first really blistering hot day of summer. Aaron and his crew were getting ready to call it a day. Still, he took some time to hear about what was happening with my car. He said he wouldn't be able to fit me in for a full transmission service for a couple of days but that he could have a tech at least look at it right away. It was determined that I'd overfilled my transmission fluid and that draining a half a quart might fix the problem. They put my car up on the lift and drained it right then, before closing up. Aaron doesn't look to be hurting for business but he still took the time to help me in a situation that many would've said "Sorry, we're closing up, come back tomorrow". As it turned out, the simple draining of the extra fluid fixed the problem. I was able to get back on the highway and make it home with no more problems. I'm pretty sure his only motive in that situation was just plain human empathy--I don't even live near his shop to be able to give repeat business. It was really nice to see someone who operates their business with that kind of a moral compass (he didn't even charge me!) and it was especially appreciated on an already difficult day. Not very happy with this place. They put a nasty scratch on my car, promised to fix it or compensate me in some way. Never heard back from them. Sad how people can look you in the eye and promise to make a wrong right.....then weasel their way out of it. Stay away from this place...that's my advice. read more

Superior service. Beyond friendly staff. They did my install for free. Yes. Free. Because they care about people (and cars, of course, too!). Here's my tale: Backed into a pole and busted my passenger tail light/assembly. Found the replacement part at a salvage yard and was convinced I could remove and replace the tail light assembly myself. Wrong. With all the bolts removed and the tail light in even worse shape then before (after all the prying I had done to try to get it off) I called Aaron's. Not only did they listen to my story, they took me in within an hour of my calling, did the replacement in under 20 minutes and didn't charge me a thing. Yes. That's right, they did the work, acknowledged how hard I had tried to remove the tail light and didn't charge me. If I could give this auto body shop 10 stars I would. Thank you Aaron! Im not from Vacaville, and when I was stuck here due to my truck overheating I searched a few mechanics in the area. After stopping at talking to each shop, Aaron's was the place that felt best. Aaron the owner is very honest and has a great attitude! He definitely went out of his way to help me with my problem and got my car fixed in a few hours. Amazing! I highly recommend this shop! Got a neighborhood special card which gives you discounts and free oil changes etc. Got my oil changed and while filling my coolant fluids the tech broke my cap and did not tell anyone so I figired whatever mistakes happen ill try it again took my boyfriends car in for oil change and tune up the receptionist said oh itll be about 2 1\2 hours then she left for the day an hour later the tech to work on the car noticed the papers in his box and loudly bitched about having to do it saying it would be 2 more hours. Very unprofessional and not worth it even if its a free oil change. read more

This place rocks.... so get this... they clowe at 5:30 and its Friday night everyone ready to go home (so you would think)? Not these guys. U show up at 4:50 and Aaron put my ca akon the diagnostic, called several places for me then sent a driver to get the part so they can fix it for me tonight... they could have said they couldn't do it tonight like other places I tried but they went the extra mile for me when I needed it the most. . Mixed feelings. I came for an antenna repair. I showed the front desk guy the problem and went over what would be involved. I had the correct part. He didn't listen to my words or what I was telling him and treated me like i knew nothing of auto mechanics. He didn't even know the correct basic nomenclature related to the particular job. His assumption added to my time there and a wrong first quote. He also made me wonder if I would get the repair near the second quote. They got the job done, but had I had a more serious issue than the radio I would look elsewhere first. Poor customer service and front desk people who think they know it all make for a write off on these auto mechanics. read more

So, I walk in to Aaron's to get a quote for my drivers side passenger door which doesn't lock any more. No sooner than I tell Ryan my problem, he explains that just to look at the door (to troubleshoot) it would cost me $120 flat. Okay, not a bad thing and I'm not paying hourly, so that's fair I suppose. Unfortunately, I get the door "fixed" and after I pick it up, I notice that it now locks, but it no longer works with the power locks as I thought it would. Would have been nice to know from these people that my door wouldn't exactly work as one typically would believe. If I wanted something done half-way, I wouldn't have spent time finding what turned out to be somewhat of a ripoff anyway. Go elsewhere... read more

I made an appointment, came in at the time of the appointment and they showed me all the paper work needed and told me it will be a certain amount of time. This review is based entirely on customer service at Aaron's, as we did not have our vehicle serviced due to the cost of the needed engine replacement. However, the reason I've given for such a great rating is because Aaron and his staff were so generous with their time and space, after we took our vehicle there for a second opinion, due to our lack of confidence in the dealership service department that initially diagnosed our vehicle issue. Aaron's allowed us to leave the vehicle in their care for an extended period while we pursued remedies with the dealership, which ultimately saved us over $3500 on the purchase of a vehicle for our son. We took our car to Aaron's to have them do an oil change on our way we noticed the air conditioner wasn't working so we asked if they could check that. They ended up fixing it and said if you have any problems come back and we will add a die to see if it's leaking. So far 4 months later it still works like a champ. My experience with Aaron's Auto was Amazing! My 2004 Toyota Camry failed a smog test. It was the cadillac converter that would not give a reading. I went to three different auto shops and every time they would hook up this meter to under my steering wheel and get a reading. Because all of them said my car was running good and they did not know why, but said I needed to replace the cadillac converter. That cost around $1500.00 if you are lucky. I was so frustrated and felt that they were just guessing. I called Aaron's Auto and spoke to a very nice lady. She explained what a real diagnostic test was. It cost me $120 for the test. It was not easy for them to figure it out either. They just kept trying!! It turns out that it was a sensor that cost $150 total. They did an oil change and took my car for me to get it smogged. Do not go here. I went for a "free oil change" because we had bought a card with so many "free" oil changes on it for $20.00. Not only was the oil change not free but they "found" over $700.00 worth of repairs to be done (that was also using the "discounts" from the card we bought). I asked them to also check on the transmission I thought it was slipping. First they tell me "no" but bring it back for this oil leak they wanted to check on. Of course the leak was there, they couldn't fix it and low and behold my transmission WAS slipping and I needed to take it somewhere else! They couldn't fix it after I paid them all that money. The day after next, I drove to Sacramento and my van overheated and had to be towed back to Vacaville because the radiator was full of oil and water! Thank God for AAA. Too bad I had already paid them another $600.00 for it to break down worse than ever in Sacramento. The worst part, I'm a paraplegic and rely on my van for my independence. I drive to Sacramento twice a week for my kids sports. This really affected my quality of life. I NEED my van. They didn't seem to feel responsible for the break down (after they "fixed" it) and had no problems smiling to my face while they kept taking money from me and leaving me stranded at home. However, I scheduled my appointment on Saturday morning and they weren't event open! I ended up waiting half an hour and then left to have my car serviced at the dealership. My husband, myself and my son use Aaron's to service our cars. They know their trade, are reasonably priced, and provide excellent service. I would recommend taking your vehicle here for the scheduled maintenance that your new car requires as it is much cheaper than taking your car to the dealer, yet they provide the exact same service required by your warranty. My son has an older car and they have replaced a water pump on his Toyota for far less than the dealer quoted him.
