Milton has been very thirsty for an establishment that has a full liquor license for a long long long time. My fiance selected Abby Park based on his mom's recommendation. She had been there one other time and didn't say anything bad about it. So, off we went. We got a parking space right outside (SCORE)! We then entered to a very dimly lit, energetic, and aesthetically pleasing restaurant. This place was previously a video store --- I couldn't believe the transformation from video store to happening bar and restaurant. It was a Saturday night and the place was jumping, it was also the first actual cold, rainy night of September and it was chilly, yet the people dining were dressed from business casual, to cougar, to casual -- we were the casuals. We sat at the bar where a charming bartender, Josh waited on us. I got a glass of Chianti -- and while it was not my most favorite glass of Chianti ever, it would do. My fiance got three glasses of Pinot Noir. We both chose the gazpacho as we love gazpacho and it is nearing the end of summer -- the gazpacho did not have any kick at all, I actually thought it tasted a lot like Catalina salad dressing. This was the worst part of the meal and it only got better. We then had our entrees, an heirloom tomato and basil angel hair pasta for yours truly and the kobe beef with creamed spinach and fries for my better half. Weeeeell, the angel hair was cooked almost too long, but it tasted better with each bite. They had placed a handful of unfortunate looking microgreens and a very small amount of basil. There was no sauce to speak of except for the tomato juices from the heirlooms and a scant amount of olive oil. They also had a bunch of onions in this and I'm not a fan of surprises when I order something as simple as pasta with tomatoes and basil. I did pick out each onion, but added them back in as I ate the pasta, as it would have been extremely bland without them. My fiance got his kobe beef medium rare and enjoyed it immensely. However, they did not give him the fries like he requested, instead they gave him what looked like Yukon Gold or perhaps fingerling potatoes. I thought they looked good and he ate them. He is the one who rated Abby Park 4 stars -- I'm still leaning to 3 stars, but I'll take his word for it and bump the rating to the big "Yay! I'm a fan" Yelp rating. I definitely will return and update my next review accordingly. We were enjoying ourselves and Josh was nice enough to answer a few of my questions about the menu, as it will be changing next week for the fall season. Abby Park also has a downstairs and I didn't get to see that, nor did I see the bathrooms. So, I can't report on that. Abby Park has an open kitchen, so when we were sitting in our comfy, cushy, plush bar stools (with a back!) I could peek into the busy kitchen. We split the lemoncello tiramisu, it was okaaay. I wanted to get their "bite" of Key Lime Pie, but Josh said they were out. I swear 10 minutes later I saw a sever with two dessert bites and one was most definitely a Key Lime Pie. C'est la Vie. I'm not a huge dessert person, but my fiance liked the lemoncello tiramisu. I thought it could have been boozier -- but that's because I'm a closet boozebag. He also got a nutty Irishman coffee. Not my thing, but he drank it and seemed to enjoy it. All in all 99 bucks plus a 20 dollar tip and a four star review to show for it. Not bad, Abby Park, not bad at all. We shall return! read more

I'm giving two stars mainly because of the painfully slow service. The food was actually very good. We ate brunch here on a Sunday and arrived at 11:30am. We were greeted by an enthusiastic and friendly host (possibly a manager?). Unfortunately, no one else that we encountered shared his enthusiasm. We were then seated by a hostess who did not seem too excited about her job. Our server was probably the worst part of the experience. He came across as unhappy, too serious and bland. After uncomfortably greeting us, he disappeared for a while. After we finally placed our orders, he disappeared some more. In fact, he was so slow and lazy, that another server took over the table next to us when they appeared visibly agitated that he was nowhere to be found. Even that server, who was doing something good, didn't seem happy to be there! When our server returned with our food, he even gave a wise-ass remark to the other server who had stepped in for him. The restaurant was not really crowded, but they did have three events going on. However, it is the responsibility of the management to ensure that the restaurant is properly staffed, right? The only time we saw our server actually appear to be happy was when a family who he knew came in and sat in his section. At that time he actually did not appear lazy and unhappy. Our food was very good, thankfully. I had the crab cake Benedict and my wife had the Abby Park breakfast. My wife was not a fan of the home fries. I agree that they could have been seasoned better, but they were still good. The crab cakes were actually excellent. We did not order dessert because at that point we had already been there for one hour and we did not feel like waiting for our slow server to take his time bringing it to us. It's unfortunate that the lazy and careless service took up most of this review, because the food at this place is really good. If only all of the staff shared the same enthusiasm as the gentleman who greeted us, it would have been a much better experience. We do not plan to return to this restaurant. read more

8:15 reservation... walk in..there are many people standing around. Check in with the host. Told they are running behind, it would be about 15 minutes. Notice the bar is just as slammed with no seats so watch the Olympics on the big screen and wait. 8:45..see more people coming in and waiting.. boyfriend goes over and asks what is going on. Host said she will have something coming up soon. A few minutes later we are seated. The waitress realizes we were waiting a while and offers to bring drinks over right away. We looked at the menu in advance and made up our mind so ordered fast. We started with the Park board appetizer. This was good but could of been way better. It was 4 tiny tapas spread across a rectangular dish. The crab phyllo cups could of used a sauce on top as the crab was dry, the stuffed dates were very rich, the prosciutto was skimpy but had plenty of chutney under neath and olives with goat cheese on top were not bad. For $14 I expected more of everything though. I decided on the diver sea scallops for my entree. They were nicely browned. The creme fraiche mixture of veggies below tasted great but wasn't as visually appealing. My boyfriend had the rib eye with truffle mac and cheese and asparagus. No complaints at all on the steak. It was cooked perfectly and tasty. The mac and cheese had a pasty consistency. It was presented on the plate with the steak. I couldn't really pick up on the truffle flavor. I would suggest bringing it out in a ramekin instead which would look better and be easier to eat. The maitre'd Jeffrey came over to apologize for the wait in the beginning and offered us a comp dessert or drink. I chose a dessert to go since I was full. The white chocolate mouse tart was small and looked good but the filling tasted like mushrooms. It was odd. This place was obviously doing well with a packed house. The mix of diners looked of older suburban people out for a nice dinner, no children were in sight and cougar packs hung at the bar. I agree that it was very loud. Between all the close tables and the bar in the middle it may turn into a conversation of shouting. Atmosphere was contemporary with dark wood furniture and cool lighting. I work in Milton which doesn't have many fine dining options so I would plan on returning when needed. For now A-OK. read more

Brunch at Abby Park is just fine with me. The decor inside is lovely. Certainly a great place to take your mother for Mother's Day or any other celebration. Six of us came in around 11am on a beautiful Sunday and the restaurant was about half-full, but truthfully it's a gigantic restaurant so it felt fine. For me what brings this restaurant from a 4-star restaurant to a 3-star restaurant is the food quality. I had the short rib sweet potato hash. It sounds amazing right? It was mostly regular potatoes and the sweet potatoes had almost no sweetness. The dish just needed more seasoning. My gf had a gigantic breakfast quesadilla, which was tasty, but again nothing special. If you come here you'll probably like it, as I did, but I wouldn't expect anything extraordinary. Also, every table had a baby at it (including ours), so if you want to fit in bring your baby or find one to bring. read more

The food here is phenomenal!! I had the lamb burger and the flavor was amazing!! The maitre d was great and very attentive. The waitress was nice. For dessert, we split the chocolate lava cake. It was so rich and chocolatey that you didn't need one of your own! I can't wait to go back!! First impressions were good (despite the poor parking options in the area) both the outside and the inside are aesthetically pleasing. The vibe was inviting to the after work crowd and more casual diners such as ourselves (i.e., I would feel as comfortable here in work clothes as I would in jeans.) The menu looked impressive (albeit pricey but if the quality is there, I don't shy away from spending a bit more.) We selected a trio of apps and entrees. Only 1 of the apps I would eat again; I felt that the breading overwhelmed the fried artichokes and the lettuce cups were poorly executed (ditch the noodles, they are a needless filler.) Two of the entrees were also underwhelming. The chicken was over cooked though the vegetables were tasty. I just cannot get past over cooked chocked at restaurants, sigh. I don't even know why I order it anymore. Another sigh. The short ribs were better though I've made superior short ribs at home for a fraction of the price. Overall, the food was good. There was nothing that I hated or even didn't like per say. But the quality did not match the price tag or warrant the need for a return any time soon. Came in a little early before before our reservation and stood at the bar to grab a pint. Right off the bat I'm a happy guy when I come to find out they pour a great Guinness! Room looks great with a nice vibe, good lighting and good chill music (Jesus and Mary chain in the back ground). Waitress was real nice, prompt with everything including bread which was hot and fresh. got some Thaii chilli shrimp to start. All is well in East Milton.. Ordered the kobe flank steak medium rare, my girlfriend got the rib eye same way. 15 minutes later I'm drinking some red and enjoying a great dinner! sides were great sea salt fingerling potatoes. desert platter was brought table side for you to choose one or more of your liking. 2.50 a piece how can you go wrong! I'm a sucker for key lime pie so there you go. I suprised Kelly by making reservations here on Valentines Day, which I made on OpenTable.com and it was super easy. I stopped by about an hour beforehand to drop off flowers and a card to have waiting on the table when we arrived, the hostess was really nice about it and said that she would take care of it. We got there and our table was ready to go, Kelly was so surprised by the flowers. We sat downstairs in a private room that had about 8 tables. Our waitress was super pleasant. I had the rib eye, it was melt in your mouth delicious!! Kelly got the chicken which was just as good. We had a good time and the atmosphere was enjoyable, a la we didn't have to compete with other tables to talk to each other. I would totally come back here again. Abby Park is a great local spot. Upstairs is fun for late night apps and drinks, and good for a casual dinner with friends, while downstairs, they have a more quiet, romantic room, good for date night! The food is usually very good, however the only dish I have gotten that I didn't like was the tuna tar-tar :( I usually love this dish, but here the tuna didn't taste fresh and I couldn't eat it.. but my fiance did, so to each his own I guess? Insanely good. Best place in Milton. The staff are pros from Tanya at the bar to Camila waiting tables. This place is on par with the best in Boston or NYC for that matter. Steaks are always generous and grilled to perfection. Martinis are superb and the wine list has a commendable selection. I have been about 20 times and each time it gets better with their eclectic menu and precise service. Love it soooooo much. read more

We've been here a few times. The menu rotates seasonally which I really like & appreciate. Recently my boyfriend and I had a Friday night reservation. Appetizer: Warm lobster dip -Delicious, but be warned it's bigger and heavier than we thought. We couldn't finish our meals. Entrees: Statler Chicken - yummy, good flavor Panko Salmon - good flavor as well (but doesn't re-heat well) *Dinner comes with bread. It's amazing. I have been frequenting Abby Park since it opened and I must say it is one of my favorite places. Great selection of of wines and cocktails mixed by friendly and attentive staff. The food is outstanding, the lamb burger is amongst one of my favorites for lunch as is any one of the salads, always crisp and bursting with flavor. For dinner check out the specials, if the short rib is on, get it, but get it early as it won't last, the miso salmon is incredible as is the tuna or any chicken or meat dish, honestly, I've never had a bad meal there, the open kitchen layout allows you to see some of the meals being prepared under the watchful eye of the head chef. For quick bar snacks the BLT flat bread pizza is heavenly, as are the burgers, the French fries are outrageously good, crisp on the outside, fluffy in the middle, order a basket and some ketchup and try to share them! The wait staff are knowledgable and are always nearby without being bothersome. All in all, good buzz, beautiful decor, parking in the rear in the evening but not at lunchtime, but you can usually find somewhere on the street. read more

Went to Abby park with my girlfriend for lunch. Absolutely amazing food. She got the short rib. It was cooked to perfection. Yukon golf potatoes and a carrots were the side. Both cooked perfectly. I got the penne chicken pasta. This has brussel sprouts, chicken, bacon, and a balsamic glaze with a great white cream Alfredo sauce. Our server was very nice and was extremely helpful and polite. We enjoyed ate lunch very much with no complaints whatsoever, except for our cocktails. We each got a margarita and it was literally 90 percent booze. It tasted like straight gasoline. Maybe the bartender was having a had day or had inexperience. However they had a excellent wine and beer tap menu which we later tried out. Food and service 5 stars, cocktails I would stay away from or give another chance to see if it's the bartender or was just an off day. read more

We went Sat night 9/12/2015. We started off with the crab cake which had more breading than crab this app had such good intentions !! It had a nice slice of avocado on top with a nice alioli and was placed on rice. Good Idea but the cake needs crab !! Second app was the shrimp and calamari with a olive tapanad with capers and fried hot peppers , again had potential but the shrimp where very small and had a weird flavor , the olive mixture was to thick and the chef put in what seemed like potatoe strings , way to busy. Now the entrees where excellent, Short ribs where very tender surrounded by a guiness reduction and garlic mashed. And the seared scallops with lobster risotto was also very good!! We will give it another shot based on the entrees , the apps we will have to take another look at. read more

My husband and I came here on a Saturday night around 7:30. The restaurant was pretty much empty (bad sign?) Regardless, the atmosphere was nice and we had a groupon to use, so there was no turning back! Unfortunately the food didn't measure up to the atmosphere and service. We started out with the lobster dip- very rich but tasty. I then had the scallops which clearly weren't fresh. It was unfortunate because they were definitely cooked well, but I couldn't get past the fishy smell and taste. Abby Park is a great night out- a bit upscale, but I have to say that they are priced a little *too* high for the quality of the food. Almost there, but not quite. This is my favorite local restaurant. The food is consistently delicious. The service (especially if Ken is your server - and we always ask for him!) is spectacular, and the drinks are generously poured. Although the menu changes seasonally, my favorite right now is the roasted cod. It is is melt-in-your-mouth fabulous, with just the right amount of chunky lobster butter and crispy corn and bacon... oh, and it's over a bed of teeny fingerling potatoes. O. M. G. When there's no cod on the menu, I usually get the filet - the port wine sauce is perfect. Let's also take a second to talk about how they ALWAYS have some form of buratta cheese on the menu - whether it's with luscious tomatoes and greens, or on a pizza, this stuff will make you snub your nose at traditional fresh mozzarella. It has a freaking cream center, after all. And I haven't even gotten to the steak pizza with arugula and bleu cheese. Is your mouth watering yet? I crave this one at inopportune times. They also usually have a seasonal risotto - my favorite is the spring vegetables. Somehow, they are always crispy and perfect. The ambiance is great - if you want a bit more "oomph," sit at the bar, but if you'd like to have a more intimate experience, request a table by the window or one of their cozy booths. We came here on a weeknight, so there was so problem getting seats, but finding parking was a bit more challenging. The meal started off with getting 3 menus, and only one of them was accurate! 2 of them had different entrees listed, and another one was missing the entree page entirely! Our waiter was nice, however, was never around, so it took a long time before placing an order, as well as getting our check, etc. The food itself was decent, but not remarkable, and not worth the price. The shrimp calimari appetizer was fried well, and I liked the mix of hot peppers included. I got the chicken saltimbocca, which was so-so, the flavor was unique, but the chicken was somewhat dry, and didnt think the risotto was a good compliment. The others with me all got the lamb burger, which was tasty, but too salty with the cheese. Overall, not worth the price given the quality of food and the experience. read more

Wow, so delicious! We started with the pan-fried provolone which is basically a low-carbers dream and was so good. For meals, he got the pork chop which he loved, and I got the steak au pouivre which was amazing and I'll be craving it from now on. Really enjoyed our meal here, highly recommended. read more

Abby Park - Fried cheese - New American Near Me - Milton, Massachusetts

I was so excited when Abby Park first opened because it was one of the first restaurants in our town. We enjoyed an anniversary dinner here and had the pleasure of sitting next to Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block. Apparently he's been here a couple times. Besides the celebrity citing this is usually a place my girlfriends and I frequent for a drink and some app's at the bar. Although recently we attended a surprise birthday party here and I have to say they did an excellent job. The service was amazing and the food was good too! As for the food in the restaurant the 3 times that I sat and had a meal everything was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised since I'm picky when I pay a good amount for a meal I want it to WOW me and that it did. But the prices are on the higher side but I like that they offer flatbreads and burgers as well if you're not up for spending a lot on dinner. We also ate here once for brunch which I always forget they have. Family was in town and we wanted to go somewhere close. I was really surprised, worried it was going to be expensive and it wasn't. I ordered the american breakfast or something like that. Eggs, bacon, etc. The server brought out a basket of biscuits, muffins, etc and I thought it was for the table. Here it had come with my meal which already had so much food. For only $9 it is def. worth another trip for brunch. Their mixed drinks are very good and very strong which some people like. I was really excited to try Abby Park in Milton Square and went for the first time a few weekends ago. I have mixed feelings about it. The things I did not like were the following: 1. The menu did not offer a whole lot in terms of vegetarian options 2. The prices for the items on the menu seems a bit high to me (based on other places with like menu's and portion size) 3. Abby Park is one of the loudest restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. The "background" music was a little loud and the overall acoustics of the dining area are not that great. It was hard to have a conversation given the music and the overall noisiness of the restraint. On the other hand, there were some things I liked about Abby Park: 1. The chef was able to make me a vegetarian meal. It was quite good - they made me a panini without the meat items listed on the menu. 2. It is a nice looking place, in terms of decorations and furniture etc. 3. .They have a nice big bar area with a good selection of beers, wines, and mixed drinks 4. The service was good. The staff were friendly and attentive A WORD TO THE WISE - the place was pretty crowded and reservations are a good idea!! read more

Went there for a diner meeting on a week night. The décor was lovely. The ambience was poor due to the fact that it was VERY loud. I remember going there often as a youth when it was the Granite Five and Dime store. We ate in a small banquet room downstairs which seat about 30. The service was excellent. First courses were Mozzarella and tomato and calamari. The tomato and cheese came with a pretty presentation but was mostly flavorless. Any flavor came from the sauce. Nothing special about the semi -ripe tomatoes. The calamari, which is usually not a favorite of mine, was a bit more flavorful. Maybe only because the oil in the fryer needed to be changed, It was tender though, which is hard to find, and it included some delicate shrimp which were nice. The drizzled sauce was flavorful. I thought the salty olive tapenade was a good addition but the color of the entire dish was very pale and had the appearance of being undercooked. I think it should have been at least golden since it was fried. The salad came in cucumber cups and all of the ingredients tasted fresh. I enjoyed the dressing very much. It was light without being oily. The entrees we tried were the flat iron pepper encrusted steal and the cod. The steak was inedible. It had a very thick coating of cracked pepper about 1/4 inch thick. Too much. It was so spicy that you couldn't taste the steak which was tough and dry as well. The coated cod had a nice lobster sauce which was more like a lobster stuffing. Large chunks of meat. The fish itself was a generous size but was extremely dry. The coating made it seen even more parched. The sauce didn't help with that. Dessert was the lava cake which was also dry. Not moist at all. Kind of reminded me of a Devil Dog. I didn't find any lava in mine either. There was a nice sauce drizzled over it but it was in no way decadent. I would not dine here again even though it is one of the only up-scale eateries in the area. It is very pricey for the quality of food. They do have great sauces, though they don't save the meal. read more

Tried Abby Park for the first time last night...it was overall a good experience. The food was delicious and well cooked/presented. Service as attentive as can be with one bartender at a full bar. A few things to work on though...the fact that the signature Manhattan was very vigorously shaken which is always heartbreaking especially when it's made with good bourbon (or rye) they seem a bit confused on what's actually in it. I realize Milton is out of the city so things like this get overlooked but stir that shit. When a woman sitting next to us knocked over said full Manhattan another was not offered or made. Maker's Mark is not a scotch btw. These all ended up adding a somewhat comical conversation to our night so we just rolled with it. All in all the food was really good and atmosphere was beautiful so we would go back and just stick with wine or basic drinks. read more

I came here for brunch with a friend and fell in love. The brunch menu is fantastic. Everything looked delicious and reasonably priced. An added bonus was that the menu was available until 3PM. I ordered bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, home fries and fruit with 2 pieces of French toast on the side. The waiter had a bit of trouble with my order. Instead of bringing me French toast, he brought me regular toast, twice! When I was finally able to make it clear to him that I wanted French toast, he brought it to me free to charge. Nice save of his part :-). Everything on my plate was delicious, especially the French toast. Soft, warm, fluffy, flavorful. I think I've found my new favorite brunch spot! read more

Abby Park - Yummmm! - New American Near Me - Milton, Massachusetts

Dined at Abby Park a couple weekends ago with some friends from Quincy. It was a Saturday and we arrived at 8pm or so without reservations, the wait was only about ten minutes. The upstairs décor is very nice, and the ambiance is great. The key word here is upstairs... We, unfortunately, got stuck in the overflow basement area. If they try to sick you down here, say you will wait for an upstairs table. There are no windows, and the waitress seemed to forget about us on more than one occasion. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order. Two of us ordered UFO White, which was supposedly on tap. She came back 10 minutes later to tell us they had no more. So, I ordered some Palm Belgium ale. It was delicious, but by the time it hit the table (about 30 minutes after we initially sat down)- much needed. Feeling unoriginal and in the mood for some beef, three of us ordered the "Meyers Natural Angus 10 oz. Top Sirloin." We all ordered it medium rare. When the meals arrived, two of the steaks were most definitely medium rare, but mine was more like medium well. So this is the comical part: I tell the waitress that all of our steaks were ordered as medium rare, and the other two were cooked to perfection. She then processed to tell me that the other two were too rare and possibly undercooked! (Hahaha, must not have had a meat eater on our hands) and that mine was cooked correctly. I laughed and returned my meal for an appropriately cooked piece. When my new meal arrived, I took a bite and forgot about the slow service and previously overcooked piece, as it was amazing. The perfect combination of kosher salt and cracked black pepper covered a succulent piece of meat. My sides included the Truffle Mac & Cheese (still not sure what the deal was with the name, as there were no chocolate confections nor mushrooms in there) and grilled zucchini. Both of the sides were excellent as well. I will also add, while waiting for meal rev2 they brought me a tasty house salad. So here is the pros and cons list... The bad: Basement = horrible, do not sit down there Wait service was slow, but I attribute this to the subterranean seating Screwed up my steak... but did get two other steaks at the table right... 2 out of 3 ain't... The good: Food was delicious Beer on tap was delicious Prices are very good for the quality of food you are getting Upstairs is very nice, wish we sat there Overall, there wasn't really anything on the menu I would not have tried. The food was above average, and the prices weren't terrible. I would recommend Abby Park to anyone looking for a good place to take a date, or small group of friends. Just sit upstairs. read more

What a fabulous addition to Milton! There were four of us going there for dinner on a Saturday night. Our reservations were for 6PM, and the place was already starting to fill in. First of all, if anyone remembers this space, it was a mom & pop-type video store. Over the years, the space became dingy and a little creepy. The facelift given by the restaurant owners was a miracle. There is very little resemblance to the old space -- although the private room downstairs was the former "adult entertainment" video space. Wink, wink... Anyway, we arrived early and sat at the bar to wait for the rest of the group. I had a blueberry martini and it was dangerously yummy. The bar is very nice but probably a bit big for the space. It is located smack dab in the middle, with the dining areas located on its right and left. We were seated fairly promptly but the host/hostess needed a reminder from us that we were ready for our table. Our server was incredibly nice and very funny. Food overall was excellent. Started off by sharing the Park Board, fried shrimp & calamari and pork cigars. Entrees ordered were kobe flank steak, braised short rib, baked halibut (one of the specials that night), and wild boar chops (another special). While everyone enjoyed their entrees, the kobe flank steak was the clear winner for the table. Of course, there was dessert, and we absolutely love the ability to order tastings of different things. Table favorites were the key lime custard and the banana cream pie with caramelized bananas. There were a few glitches. The host/hostess "forgetting" about us at the bar was a bit of a surprise. We ended up having to remind them twice that we were ready for our table. To their credit, there was a wave of diners coming in around that time so they were most likely handling the ones that were standing there. (Out of sight, out of mind I guess.) Also, as the night got busier, the seating became a little less comfortable. There is no partition between the gigantic bar in the middle of the room and the two dining areas on the sides. Inevitably, those hanging at the bar or waiting for tables start to invade the seated diners. For those tables directly next to the bar, it is likely someone is standing on top of you while you eat. Minor grievances on an overall very good dining experience. Reservations are a must; this place was packed by the time we were leaving. There is parking behind the building but it is a small lot. Additional parking is available on the street and there is the Starbucks lot across from the restaurant's lot. But do be cautious as some of the parking around there is restricted or private; you don't want to find that your car received a parking ticket or was towed after your nice meal. read more

Went for lunch today, party of two. One app, one salad and one pizza, two glasses of wine, one soft drink - $70 with tip. The app, calamari and shrimp was very nice. The Duck Pizza - average. The Caesar was ordered with salmon and it came out with a full piece of fish on top. Seemed very nice, my lunch partner said it was good. Decor was very nice. Crowd was a mix of mostly 60+ Milton types and some younger Quincy types. It wasn't that busy and we got a very nice booth. I'd hate to be at one of the floor tables when the place is full. Even with a late lunch crowd (2pm) it got a bit too noisy a few times. Small parking lot in back and located in a very busy area so I would assume parking must be problematic during the dinner rush. $1 oysters on wednesday nights...great deal! I really don't have any complaints about this restaurant. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was fresh and seasonal. I had the Atlantic salmon....it was tasty, but that weird couscous salad has got to go! The bar is cozy. I'll be back Wednesday! read more

Honestly this is more like a 4.5 star review, not quite a 5 but close. Made reservations for a girls night on a Friday, when we got there, we were seated right away and in a decent location by the windows. Started with a couple of their signature drinks, a Raspberry Martini and a Milton Manhattan. Both were delicious and strong and our server began her stellar performance. We got the lobster dip to start and it was at our table before i could blink. Friend got the Lobster Cavatelli and I got the Meatloaf. Both were simply divine, and for a classy restaurant, the portions were huge. Overall, everything was served quickly and everything was delicious. I am giving it a 4.5 because honestly, I feel like it just could use a little something extra. Very pleased and I will definitely go back. read more

I couldn't have been more frustrated by how my wife & I were treated. We arrived around 6pm and were seated in a mostly empty section. 40 Mins later we watched as several tables that arrived after we did enjoyed appetizers and had their meals arrive without delay. The manager greeted the tables around us warmly but missed us somehow. He did come by after we cancelled our order. He offered to give us our food to go as if we were there for a free meal! so, have been ordering from this place for uber eats for a few weeks because its so expensive and i wanted to blast a place that has $14 cheeseburgers.... however, the food has been delicious every time. i have yet to find a thing that tastes like a rip off... so you win abby park and your $14 cheeseburgers... five star. good job. We went for dinner on a Thursday night around 730 and were able to be seated without a reservation which was great, our waitress was really friendly and came right over to take our drink orders. The menu is pretty varied with lots of different choices for whatever you are in the mood for. Our food came out quick and was really good, the truffle fries are a must try. It did feel like we were being rushed out of there even though it wasn't an especially crowded night. The food and drinks are both pricey but quality and service is good. read more

The appitizers were great - we must have sampled 6 different ones - all had excellent taste unique for the location. The drink menu was a distinctive blend of martini's. The entree's - a few stood out. Recommendations would be for the seafood and spareribs. The dessert menu was also wonderful in both presentation and flavor. The place is beautiful with rich woodwork, a bar that can handle a large crowd, yet now seem overpowering, and the downstairs tops it off with a private dining area and nicely finished bathrooms. This review is based solely on one person that works at Abby Park and that person is John the bartender. John is horrible: lacks attentiveness, talks to the other bartenders like trash (particularly the younger females)...just flat out rude. Needless to say I actually like Abby Park, the food is great, the atmosphere is great, heck even the staff is great. EXCEPT JOHN! I will definitely visit Abby Park again just not when John is there, if I see him walking in I'm walking out. read more

Decidedly average on my first go around; I was psyched for this place, as it is so sorely needed in Milton, a town woefully barren of good quality dining. Though I must make mention of the fact that this place has tangible potential, and I think they are ironing out some opening kinks and will be great in the future; I don't often come away from an experience like this genuinely feeling that way. They really did a nice job with the space - it's upscale in a way that it is not annoying for East Milton Square. There's a centralized bar on the main floor, and a visible, open air kitchen in the back of the room. There are some visible heat lamps in the front of the kitchen which I'd rather weren't there, but that's a detail. Apparently, there are another 8-10 tables in a downstairs dining area. My main criticism with the experience was a hiccup with our food service. We waited a full 40 minutes for our second appetizer to come out after we ordered it. The server brought over one party member's salad, then another 20 minutes later, the pasta dish we ordered as another appetizer finally showed up. She had clearly flubbed the order, and didn't admit it or apologize for it. Oh well. When that dish arrived, it was good. Fresh housemade papardelle with grilled shrimp, peas, scallion, and pancetta. The sauce, creamy in nature, was not gloppy, and was nice & light. The shrimp was a single, succulent offering, well balanced by the bits of salty pancetta. The dish was slightly underseasoned, but still, pretty satisfying. For mains, I tried the short ribs with fontina arancini and asparagus. The short ribs were fall apart tender, perfectly cooked and nice & flavorful. Again, there could've been a touch more salt, but that's my only criticism on this dish. The arancini was crispy and tasty, and the soft asparagus was a nice compliment to the meat. Others in the party tried the osso bucco special, the Tuscan brick chicken, and the lobster cavatelle. The cavatelli was very interesting, with a light, lemon mascarpone sauce and unctuous chunks of lobster meat. The chicken looked fabulous, and was well prepared, but slightly oversauced with a balsamic reduction that was a bit too sweet for my palette, though my sister who'd ordered the dish quite liked it. I skipped dessert as I had to be somewhere for a thing, and as I mentioned at the outset, I do think this place will figure some things out and be a good, reliable place to eat in the future. I like what they are doing technologically, utilizing twitter to advertise specials, and I think as they grow they will figure out staffing issues and tighten the ship. Boyfriend surprised me and made reservations here for Valentines Day. He told me they were very helpful when he made the reservation and he dropped off flowers ahead of time and they had them waiting on our table when we got there. We sat downstairs and the room was very intimate and decorated nicely. Our waitress was very pleasant and we had great service. I had the chicken and L had the rib eye. Both were very good. Prices were very high but it's a fancy restaurant so it was to be expected. A very nice choice for a special occasion. read more

My wife and I went to Abby Park for their Valentine's Day prix fixe menu. Well priced at $55, we were hoping for a delicious meal composed of menu items not found on their everyday menu. They should have stuck with their everyday menu. We started with the oysters and sweet onion tart. Both were quite good, although the filling of the tart could have been cooked longer. Our salad was quite good, nothing special except the Cheddar dressing. Our entree however, was terrible. They tried to cook a crispy skin duck breast. What ended coming to our table can only be described as the outcome of putting duck breast in a deep fryer. The outside was well done, inside was raw, and the fat was not rendered properly. Overall, a very sad attempt at cooking a difficult item to cook. Our dessert was a butter cream concoction. It was difficult to taste anything except for butter. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite nice, and the bar on the first level looked like a chic place to spending a night. Perhaps Abby Park's everyday menu is better and the items are better practices, but any chef should know how to properly make duck breast which makes me question it. read more
