We were driving up to Oak Glen to eat, but saw the recent updated prices (Yikes!) So looked to Yelp to eat our brunch before heading up the mountain. Abby's Cafe came up and we decided to give it a try. There were many people waiting to be seated, but this did not take too long. The staff were all dressed in Halloween costumes (because it was Halloween) which made it fun. Our server a scarecrow took our drink and food order right away and when we got the food we were not disappointed. The food was pipping hot, even my eggs, which seems to be very rare these days from most restaurant's. The bacon was the best I have eaten. My husband who always has tummy issues from most places said his tummy was happy after eating at Abby's. Quick early breakfast before facing the day and our young male server was super cheery. I think the best way to start is with or seeing smiles. He was the smiley I needed. I had the two poached eggs, bacon, sweet potato pancakes with cinnamon butter and had expected hashbrown as in one of the menu photo. Someone mislabeled the egg benedict photo. Bummer. Absolutely loved our meal here came Saturday around 12:00 for a late breakfast and although it was slow due to the current issues in the world, the atmosphere was super friendly and just a good feeling. Waitress greeted us right away we had coffee and water quickly, restaurant menu was full of great options. Couldn't decide between eggs Benedict or Corned Beef Hash, waitress recommended the hash and it is by far the best I have ever had. Was not too salty was a nice crisp, not mushy, super fine onions chopped, and all around great flavor. Portions were just right not huge and overwhelming. Everything we ordered was delicious, coffee stayed refilled with out asking. Waitress staff knew almost all the customers so was heart warming to have it feel just as friendly towards us.
