Very helpful & courteous staff, no pressure, and a good selection, we were interested in Thermador appliances, and we did not have to ask about the special BOGO the manufacturer was offering, it was posted in the store. There was no run around. Our salesperson Judy did not try to upsell us an expensive warranty or anything else. We went to 5 stores, ABC was, by far, the best. You don't hear as much about them as you do some of the others, and I don't know why. We got straight talk, and a decent deal. They also deliver, install, and service what they sell. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. This is a long story, but will show you why you should never purchase from ABC. At the end of October I bought a high end Miele range and dishwasher from ABC. This ran over $7000 without including installation - which they subcontracted I spite of stating that they install and service all the brands that they sell. The delivery and installation went fine, but on our first attempt to use the oven we noticed that the cookies my wife was making were not cooking properly. They were very underdone. Using a oven thermometer we discovered that the temperature in the over was 100 degrees lower than it was set to. This started a almost 2 1/2 month process of trying to get a working oven. Upon discovering the problem we called ABC. We were to,d that since the oven was new and under warranty that we had to call Miele for service, not ABC and that Miele would authorize them to come out. While strange, we did this. According to Miele, ABC was an authorized reseller, but not service of their products. They then sent out a factory rep. Turns out ABC had not updated their registration with Miele. This repair visit was the first of 5 to try to correct the problem. While I have a separate beef with Miele about their product, the issue here is ABC and how they handled the situation. Through the entire process they took the position that they were not responsible and could only do what Miele told them to do. When we pointed out that we bought the products from ABC, not Miele directly they responded that this was just the way it is. Multiple times through the process we asked to speak to the owner/manager. While we were assured that he had received our messages we were told he "does not talk" to customers. After the 5th unsuccessful repair attempt we requested a refund/replacement of 5e defective range. While ABC acknowledged that the unit did not work, their position was that only Miele could do authorize a return/credit. I had to call Miele numerous times to get the return authorization, but was able to finally do so. Even then, ABC would not issue a credit until they had picked up the unit. So to get the replacement I had to shell out another large sum of money to make hat happen. Needless to say, I did not purchase it from them. So the caution here is that you might as well by an appliance over the web directly from the manufacturer rather than deal with ABC - as they offer zero customer service and in spite of all the assurances the sale people give you - they have no sense of customer service. BTW - still have not heard from the owner manager - he obviously just does not care. read more

Bought a dryer 3.5 years ago from ABC for $425 as suggested by sales person. Stopped working. Tech came and said it needed a new timer for $160 plus installation and perhaps a new thermostat. 15 minute service call = $100 with no refund if purchasing a new appliance. And one wonders why big box stores are doing a great business. So we're off to buy a new dryer. read more

My 5-year-old stove was starting to have problems. An ABC tech came in 3 times over a period of 3 months to fix small issues and finally told us that we should replace the stove as it was obviously having issues and this model was known to be a problem. When we talked to ABC they recommended we talk directly to the manufacturer as they knew this model was a problem and might give us a deal. I contacted the manufacturer and they offered a new model stove at a 50% discount from the listed price. I could have bought a new stove from ABC, but most likely would not have received the discount. So ABC saved me a lot of money. read more

I purchased a very expensive range from ABC in December. When the range was installed, it was damaged (due to faulty manufacturing). My sales person, Bill, as well as the company owner, Jim, fought with the manufacturer to have my range replaced. My brand new range is in perfect condition, I could not be happier with my purchase. Had pleasant experience with co-owner. Persuaded to purchase Miele appliances (over 30K) with assurance that ABC would service them if necessary. Immediately after installation, small issue developed with microwave. Called ABC and was told ABC could no longer service Miele and we were directed to call 800 number. Called ABC co-owner to complain and he agreed to call house to arrange to check out issue. Never called!!! We like the new appliances but would not have purchased them without ABC's assurance of service. Failure of ABC to follow-up as discussed was last straw. Will never use ABC nor recommend them to anyone. read more

sales suggested we buy a different washer & dryer than we originally wanted. They highly recommended them. With in first month there was an issue with the dryer. ABC could not diagnose problem, Whirlpool tech came out and fixed it - no problem. Now, less than 3 years later, our $1300 washer is leaking water. ABC came out for repair ($90 fee to look at it) and diagnosed the gasket with a hole in it. Over 1 week for part to come in. Tech replaced gasket. We went to use the washer the next day and it still leaks. Obviously, the tech did not even test it to make sure the problem was fixed! New ABC tech came out next day - diagnosed that the wash drum is cracked - $900 to repair! and now we are out of a washer for 2.5 weeks. First tech that came out had an attitude and didn't want to listen when I tried to tell him the machine was giving me other error code during cycle, then repaired the wrong problem. DO NOT use ABC for repairs!! read more

Great experience! Had oven fire and called them morning after to find out about getting new oven. Told us come in that day and could have oven in two days. Jimmy was wonderful. Delivery on time within 1 hour of time promised. Brenda is very caring and was sympathetic to our problem. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. read more

Bought a KitchenAid refrigerator and double wall oven and dishwasher based on the sales reps recommendation. The dishwasher is flimsy, hardly cleans dishes well, and has broken several times. It took months for us to get a working icemaker in the refrigerator. The temperature probe in the oven no longer works, and it's $75 to get a new one. I was also told that ABC no longer services these items and that I needed to call Whirlpool KitchenAid directly. In addition this company reported The purchase to PA so I had to pay sales tax, I was sent a $600 bill years after, with penalties. While I'm not trying to avoid paying taxes it would've been nice to have been charged upfront, or give a notification that it was required, as no other store in Delaware has ever done this. I'm still irritated that I was sold such an expensive expensive bunch of lemons. read more

We have been using ABC since moving here in 2000. They are by far the best customer service- in show room, on the phone, by email, with service - you name it. Our dryer broke on a Wed. and Judy (who we have always used esp. During kitchen remodel) ordered one that would be delivered the Friday before Memorial Day. I incorrectly told her it was gas not electric and even tho I called on Thursday at noon after warehouse truck had delivered to them she said "no problem," and quickly remedied the situation/got a new one on truck and today (Friday) the correct dryer came in the am. Deverie and Mike were excellent delivery men. Dev went way out of his way making sure existing cabinetry drawers came out smoothly and were put back in carefully right next to dryer. No other company would have been that careful, concerned and they were efficient on top of it all! High marks all around for ABC. read more

I have dealt with ABC for years - and always had a great experience. My most recent experience was incredible. I purchased three appliances (having recently also purchased a Bosch dishwasher a few months ago). This included: a Kitchenaid french door refrigerator, a Kitchenaid double oven and a GE Profile cooktop. I love all three appliances but here is what distinguishes ABC from other appliance dealers. They installed the ovens and the refrigerator - removed the old and AT THEIR SUGGESTION - preserved the wood housing from my old sub-zero. Since I am painting the now cherry cabinets, white, preserving this housing is the finishing touch I didn't even realize was possible. It was all their idea. I am over the top thrilled - they are terrific people to deal with: from Kevin who was my expert salesman (you will not get this expertise at any big box appliance dealer); to the incredible Judy and Mike husband/wife team who did the finishing.
