I purchased washer and dryer from BigCentric this past summer. What had brought me into the store was the sale price of a front-load LG washer and dryer pair. When comparing prices, BigCentric's price was about $300 less for each unit than the exact same units at The Home Depot and Lowe's, which were also supposedly on sale at those stores. I had recently moved into a new condo, and the salesperson was familiar with my condo development. Given what the salesperson knew of the condo development and the space limitations that sometimes existed there, he thought that the LG units that were on sale were the best bet. There was no attempt to get me to upgrade to more expensive units. Additionally there was no attempt to get me to purchase an extended warranty on the units. In fact, there was no mention of an extended warranty at all! I was further impressed, however, when they followed up with me after the delivery of the units. My condo, indeed, has a very tight space to fit the units in, and the delivery people who installed the units were relatively new to the job. BigCentric phoned me to ask me how the installation went. They offered to send their experienced installers to come and take a look to make sure that everything was done correctly, which occurred within the next several days. The more experienced guys did find something that had not been taken care of during the initial installation, and they corrected it. The staff at the store is totally professional, and everyone seems to have a genuine concern that the customer is completely satisfied. I went there to look for new kitchen appliances, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The staff was rude, and I was told I needed an appointment. I had called ahead to ask whether the models I wanted to see were in stock and was told they were, but when I arrived, they weren't. Instead, I was told to go see them at National Appliance Warehouse and then come back because they would price match. That struck me as very unprofessional. It seemed like they were using other companies as their showroom because they didn't actually have what they advertised on display. I also noticed several older models being presented as if they were new. I could be mistaken, but that was the impression I got. One thing that really stood out to me was that it appeared one of the refrigerators on the showroom floor was being used to store an employee's lunch. Maybe that particular refrigerator wasn't actually for sale, but it wasn't marked as such, so it gave the impression that the display appliances were being used by employees. I could be wrong, but that was honestly how it looked to me. The delivery times were also much longer than expected. When it came time to place an order, I found out the appliance would actually be shipped from another company rather than directly from them. That made the entire process feel like they were brokering the sale instead of selling inventory they actually had. Several of the appliances also had small nicks, dents, and marks, yet they were not labeled as scratch-and-dent items. In the end, they didn't earn my business. Buyers should do their homework before purchasing and make sure the products they're expecting to see are actually available before making the trip. read more

The worst purchase experience of our life. We purchased appliances from Big Centric and the refrigerator worked exactly 1 day. After coming home from work i noticed the refrigerator was cold but the freezer had defrosted all of our frozen food and the meat went bad and all items in the freezer were completely thawed and because of the temperature outside was hot all of our food was bad. AND to make matters worse we discovered they switched the appliance in the box and intentionally sold us a defective refrigerator. Nasty. Return with receipt within 30 days? Guess again. This was not a refrigerator. It was a small (4"x3"x3") electrical voltage adapter for a high-end appliance. $60. Manger said box was opened so wouldn't take it back. How else could you check to see if it worked? Too lazy to plug it into an outlet and check. Thought I had lucked out because he was the only dealer in the area who had one in stock. Wrong. Always had good luck with Delaware merchants. They usually treat you like family. Not this one. As I sit in my nicely air-conditioned room I needed to write this review. My apartment requires a very specific size AC and their price was lower than anyone else (also it is Delaware so no tax!!) . Jee was great, no pressure and went out of his way to help me. The AC was delivered late on Wednesday so I didn't want to leave it in my car overnight. Jee got in really early so I could be on the road this morning. I will definitely buy my other AC's there. He also made sure I took a water for the road!! Got my new fridge, washer and dryer (all LG) from BigCentric at a really great cost. I initially was going to purchase through Costco but my mom told me to speak to Stephen at BigCentric and he got me a great deal - saved over $500 compared to Costco price. Stephen even gave me information to get a NECO rebate - getting an additional $250 back! Woohoo!! Ordered my appliances on a Saturday and got them delivered literally 1 week after. Delivery guys were late but they called ahead to let me know that they would be late - delivery and set up was quick, efficient, and very professional. BigCentric delivered a refrigerator for me yesterday. It was an outstanding experience! Before the delivery, BigCentric staff was in communication with me, to ensure that measurements were accurate for the spot of the refrigerator and to coordinate delivery according to the rules of the condominium. On the date of delivery they were exactly on time at the beginning of the four-hour window, calling me in advance of arrival. Parking, lobby, freight elevator handling was done without any difficulties. The old refrigerator was removed and the new one brought up to my unit and installed according to my needs with clear explanations. The appliances were fine and we got a good deal, but the delivery people scrapped up our walls and knocked over a plant stand and broke a pretty pricey vase that was a family heirloom. I when I contacted the manager of the store, he said he could try to replace it and i sent him photos numerous times and never heard back. read more

Could be the best appliance store in the DelMarNJ area. Located on the edge of Wilmington, conveniently off Hwy 95 or 495, they have a store with a decent sized showroom. There are three things that make this store worth checking... 1) Price. I needed a new set of appliances for a new home, and spent hours hunting thru online ads. They beat their closest competitor on the LG refrigerator alone by $460, and we had been tracking prices for several weeks up to that point. 2) Speed of delivery. All the big box had 8 - 12 day delays between ordering and home delivery. I really just wanted to swing by and pick up appliances. This is difficult at best with most big box stores. Most want 3 to 5 days between the order being placed and you picking it up. One wanted 12 days for a "in stock, pick up at store" order. I visited Bigcentric on a Sunday, and they were willing to deliver to my door the very next day. Woo hoo! 3) Service. The folks that they sent worked for Bigcentric. They stayed off the driveway (good), prepped the appliances outside, allowing me to inspect the units, did a great job of protecting the hardwood floor, and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. I don't usually write reviews but figured I would this time since when I placed my order with Bigcentric I couldn't find anything online and was kind of nervous after I placed my order. There was nothing to fear though because everything was great. I ordered a basic refrigerator which was slightly more expensive then Home Depot but I got it delivered in 2 days vs 3 weeks so it was very worth the extra $20.
