Great service. I had a non working burner on my Bosch cooktop for 2 years and 3 other shops couldn't find spare parts. Vittalli came home, checked all burners and found another burner with a cracked ignitor. He was able to source the parts with great difficulty and then promptly came by to fix them. I was having an issue with the ice maker in my Fridge. It was making a god awful sound and stopped making ice! The back of the fridge was leaking condatation on the floor. First this I did was to search yelp for a repair person. After reaching out to several different companies I chose ABC service based on their initial quote, availability and customer service. (Alex responded in under 1 minute). They were able to fit me the next day, which was Thursday, Lev was assigned to repair my fridge. I had an appointment window between 4-6pm, however he did not show up until 6:30, there was no notification that he was running late, I had to reach out to Alex to find out the ETA. He was able to diagnose what was wrong, but had to order parts. The parts however did not arrive until monday, and I had to follow up again when the next appointment was. Which happen to be Monday between 4-6, which also came and passed, I had to follow up again when he will be arriving. Lev installed a new thermostat in the fridge, he butt spliced the connector instead of popping the pins out. And installing it that way, but to each their own. At the end of the day no one is ever going to see it, as long as it works right? Lev put everything back together, said everything should be working. I waited two days, and the ice maker was still not making ice, I reached out to Alex again, and he was able to send Lev over again, he ended up changing a sensor as well, but missed the appointment window again. Now everything works and I have a quiet fridge which makes ice. TLDR:Will fix your appliance at a reasonable cost, tech missed every appointment window with out informing you that they are running behind. read more

I have a GE dryer that was not working and problem was diagnosed in minutes. I am a property manage and familiar with the cost and time of appliance repairs. My regular vendors were busy so I went on YELP and picked ABC due to its high ratings. I saw some bad reviews due to pricing but I know appliance repair can be expensive. Vince showed up on time (wearing a mask) and fix the problem in less than 5 mins. I was a bit disappointed have to pay $100 for a 5 minute fix. But, Vince then suggested a cleaning of the vent for a modest bump in price since he was only there for 5 mins so far and I had pay a minimum. I appreciated his suggestion on how I can best use his time and stretch my repair dollars. He spent time to take the front panel off and cleaned out 8 years of accumulated lint and reduced a fire hazard. Vince explained everything clearly to me and basically showed me how to clean the lint on my own next time. Also, Alex who booked the appoint was incredibility fast in getting back to me. Answered all of my questions and was very professional. Pros - Fast response to book appointment (over Yelp messages). Excellent customer service (Alex) - Showed up on time - Competent tech (Vince) - Professional, patient, and honest - Explained repair and showed me how to fix issues on my own - Fair pricing compare to other appliance repair vendors I use Cons - Control panel was not quite replaced back to original position but I will take care of that since Vince showed me how to remove it. Based on yelp reviews, I called them for the service. Luckily, they were able to send a technician the same day afternoon. Timely update via text for the arrival of the technician was great. I needed the service for both my ref and washing machine. He took time and examined and only the ref needed a part for replacement. He scheduled for the following week and ordered the necessary part for my ref. Again, it was today he came and on time. They also give you six months warranty from the time of the service. Refrigerator decided to act up and then spectacularly die. Called a few places and no one could come out for days. First call to ABC was great and was delighted to actually talk to someone immediately and not a recording. Got an appointment for same day. Wonderful communication and Adam, the young man that came out, was polite and experienced. We have called them out twice now, once to help fix our dishwasher and once to help fix our washing machine. Both times they were incredibly prompt (I think less than 2 hours between calling and them arriving?!) and send a knowledgable and courteous technician. He was really helpful in diagnosing the problems and in helping us find the right solution. In one case, it was to replace the machine rather than have them repair it, because it made more financial sense. Furnace was repaired today (they replaced the pressure switch and inductor motor) and is working now, will need to monitor for next few weeks to make sure no problem recurs. On the good side, they were able to come same day to diagnose (called at 8am, came at 1pm), were able to get the needed replacement parts in one day, so came back the next day to repair. Appreciate the quick diagnosis & repair, as the furnace is critically needed in these cold winter days. On the not-so-good side, the technician did not speak much English and did not project much confidence in his work. His manager came on the phone to explain the diagnosis and coordinate the repair. On the return visit, the technician was ~2 hrs late. We did wonder if we should've called another shop to get a second opinion, just to be sure, since it felt unusual for 2 parts to fail at the same time in a 8-yr old furnace, resulting in a fairly expensive repair. These are minor issues though, if the repair work holds good in time. As a word of advice, it would be a lot more comforting to have a confident & communicative technician who gave more assurance in the diagnosis & repair. read more

They saved me $900. I was sure my refrigerator needed a new compressor and was ready to pay $960 to get it replaced. ABC sent a technician to install the new compressor and after he looked at it he said all it needs is to be defrosted. ABC service guys were sent by Bestbuy to rectify a faulty install of a dishwasher. Best buy had sent some repair folks a week ago who do some diagnosis who took picture etc. said the install was faulty and I should call Bestbuy to fix the install. So Bestbuy sent out these guys. ABC came in and left in 10 mins. The guy just did not want to work. He wasn't here to solve the problem. Said we needed to call a repair guy. I am taking this up with Bestbuy but I would hire these guys to do anything if the guy they sent was any indication of their quality of service. I contacted ABC Service to help me fix a washing machine that was leaking water with every use, leaving a small creek in my garage. Alex and Richard were reliable and easy to communicate with during the entire repair process, and very flexible with scheduling. They use a site that lets you know exactly how soon the repairman will arrive, which is great for not wasting time but still being ready when they show up. Richard diagnosed the problem immediately, ordered the right parts, and was back in a week to install them. He told me which repairs were essential and which ones I could sit and watch since they were okay for now (and likely to be expensive). The whole bill turned out less than I'd expected as well, so I was super happy with the entire process. My washing machine no longer leaks and is working beautifully. Over-charged for replacement part that is not actually broken (just needed defrosting). When I asked if I could keep the old "broken" part the technician said that no, he had to ask his manager since this was unusual. I insisted, turns out the part is pristine. Technician was very unprofessional and spoke very poor English. He broke one of the legs of the fridge so it wobbles now and managed to break our water dispenser/ice machine. read more

Unfortunately my 20 minute repair experience turned into a 30 minute repair because I had to take a phone call. It was very simple and straight forward. You obviously assume that all of your clients are idiots and don't know how to repair things and we have no clue about contamination, etc. Sorry to bust your bubble pal, but it's not that complex of a job by any means. Your lack of knowledge is further demonstrated by your comparing an appliance repair time guide to the Kelley Blue Book. The Kelley Blue Book is for vehicle VALUES.. not repair estimates. The Mitchell guide is what is used for automotive repair times and estimates, but nice try! My wife and I started noticing our fridge's fan/power kept starting and stopping for a few days before it stopped working completely. We found ABC Service online and they sent Vagan out to diagnose the issue. He determined there were a couple of areas that needed servicing: 1. new control board, and 2. coils needed cleaning. Vagan was timely for the diagnosis visit and routinely checked-in via text to provide updates. He was very knowledgeable and thorough with his inspection. Unfortunately, we ultimately did not proceed with the repair, as we have a 3 week old newborn and couldn't wait for more than a week due to milk storage and milk that already went bad. Although I explained that we had to make the decision not to proceed, the representative at ABC Service was apologetic (not their fault at all) about the issue. We truly appreciate their attentiveness, professionalism, and good customer service. Despite having to go with a new fridge altogether, I would still recommend ABC Service! read more

I have a Samsung washing machine it is not the highest priced model but sure isn't the lowest price model. The technician showed up and hit a few buttons on the washing machine and said that the washing machine was junk. He then proceeded to hit a few more buttons and told me the control board was bad. The technician never once grabbed a tool or even tested the control board or anything electrical for that matter. I guess up selling is what this company is about. I paid $80 diagnose fee for them to take a look at my HVAC and they said my nest thermometer is missing c wire and it would cost $400+ to fix it when in reality my nest thermometer never needed c wire. I eventually bought a new nest thermometer and fixed the issue myself. I told them about the misdiagnose and all they said was they are going to send another person to take a look I already fixed it myself I don't need another person to come. read more

The dishwasher stopped drying properly - The service person came promptly, and was professional and respectful. I was provided with a quote of $276 for the repair in a few minutes. However, the quote seemed excessive to me, as a brand new dishwasher from the same model cost $380. I declined the repair and paid for the $60 service call. A quick search in google reviled that the part cost is about $35, and the length of the repair is about 20 minutes. I realize that all of us have to make a living, but the sense I got is the pricing model might not be aligned with long term customer retention. Our refrigerator stopped working I had called to get a diagnosis on it and they were very quick at sending a technician to come look at it. However when I set up at appointment to come fix it they never showed up and wanted to come until past the agreed time by 1.5 hours. I then tried to set up a new appointment the next day and same issue the technician never came and once I called the office they hung up telling me they would call me back. We used ABC bc our dryer stopped heating. They came out and fixed it. Then two days later, it stopped heating again. The original technician, Ross, came back out within 3 hours and showed up at 8p (which I did not at all expect or ask for). He worked really hard, figured out something else that was causing the issue and fixed it again. Their attitude and approach to customer service is so unusual and so exceptional. I honestly can't say enough good things about ABC Service HVAC & Appliances! I have used them twice in the past moth. The first time, they came out to one of our rental properties, they diagnosed and fixed our GE Dish Washer on the spot... Technician was on time, polite, efficient and completed the job done as requested. The second time was yesterday at our primary home and again they diagnosed two additional appliances that weren't working properly. The technician advised me to call LG as he believed the machining was still under warrantee, so I did and he was right (that advice saved me $450). The second item was our Viking Stove, they immediately diagnosed the problem and I gave them the green light this morning to order the part and do the installation. This is what I call turn key service and better yet, I trust them... Our fridge broke on a Saturday night. I called ABC appliances on Sunday morning and spoke w Alex who was able to get me an appointment on the same day. Adam O from ABC came over on time (by 12 noon) and diagnosed the problem within 15 mins. He figured out the parts needing replacement, went and came back within an hour with the part. And fixed my fridge very quickly. He went overboard and cleaned everything to avoid potential problems in future. Yes, all this was on a Sunday.
