    Candied Bacon
    Rochelle M.

I've heard such wonderful things about Pancake Pantry. So, it was a quick decision when the daughter asked me where I wanted to go for breakfast. She warned me that there's always a wait, but being a Monday, I thought it would be ok. We were surprised to find parking right across the street, then arrive to no line and being seated right away. Don't get me wrong -- the place was bustling! Shortly after we got to our table, which looked like the last one, the line started to form. Nicholas was our wonderful server. He was busy but stayed engaged throughout our time there. My daughter ordered the Banana Bread Pancakes while I chose the Swedish Pancakes, then added the Candied Bacon to share. It all came out super-fast! The Banana Bread Pancakes were fluffy, flavorful and so yummy. My Swedish Pancakes were classically thin, slightly sweet and loaded with lingonberry. And that Candied Bacon -- OMG. That was so good! It's definitely pricey, but worth it (IMO). The Pancake Pantry team work amazingly well in the organized chaos. They move quickly in turning over tables, but somehow never made us feel rushed. Really great experience. We'll be back!

At the recommendation of multiple people we had to stop at Pancake Pantry for breakfast. Don't let the long line discourage you. They were super efficient and get people in and out. Food was great. Lots of pancake options and the syrup was amazing. Would recommend if your in Nashville I had the croissant with avocado and the croissant was perfect size, comes with hash browns that were made perfect.

Some restaurants become traditions. Pancake Pantry became a pilgrimage. There's a reason this Nashville institution has been around since 1961. They serve the best pancakes on the planet. Period. My wife and I both ordered the "build your own" pancake trio. She went with sweet potato, chocolate chip, and banana bread pancakes. I went with two sweet potato and one chocolate chip because when you've found perfection, why get cute? The sweet potato pancakes are the headliners. Fluffy, but with enough substance to hold up to their special syrup, which should probably be classified as a controlled substance. Together, they're ridiculous. Then there's the chocolate chip pancake. The chips melt into the hot pancake, creating something that lives somewhere between breakfast and dessert. Add a little of their special butter and a touch of maple syrup and suddenly you're questioning why anyone eats anything else before noon. Every bite reminds you why people line up here year after year. Sixty-five years of making pancakes gives you plenty of time to get it right. Pancake Pantry has. Five stars.

We came back!!! Came early enough to miss the line. Got seated right away. I decided to go with the biscuits and gravy this visit. It was okay--little bland and flour-y. Daughter got the cinnamon roll pancakes because she heard so much about them from dad. They were of course a bit again. Hubby opted for the sampler and he was so glad he did. His favorite pancake on the plate was the chocolate and peanut butter. Daughter got herself a t-shirt and I'm sure it will be her favorite shirt for the season

Veggie omelette and three little pigs omelette

We had never been to The Pancake Pantry before, but after seeing online that it's basically a Nashville icon that's been around since 1961, we knew we had to try it while we were in town. And honestly? It completely lived up to the hype. When we got there, there was already a line outside, which honestly made us nervous at first, but the staff was super organized and the line moved surprisingly fast. We were seated in less than 10 minutes even though the place was packed. And this was around 11 AM on a Tuesday, so I can only imagine how busy weekends get. The service here was honestly the highlight of the whole experience. Our waitress was SO friendly, funny, and genuinely welcoming. One of those people who instantly makes you feel comfortable and taken care of. You can tell the staff here knows how to handle a busy restaurant while still making customers feel special. I ordered the veggie omelette with blueberry pancakes, and my boyfriend got the Three Little Pigs omelette with a banana pancake. We also ordered coffee to go with everything and wow... such a comforting, satisfying breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy, buttery, and filled with sweet blueberries in every bite, while the banana pancake had that perfect caramelized banana flavor that tasted homemade in the best way possible. And PLEASE do yourself a favor and try the cinnamon syrup with the pancakes. It was insanely good and honestly took the pancakes to another level. Sweet, warm, buttery, with the perfect cinnamon flavor... I could probably drink that syrup by itself. What impressed me most is that despite how full the restaurant was, our food came out in less than 20 minutes. Everything felt efficient without ever feeling rushed. This is one of those places where yes, the food is really good, but what truly makes you want to come back is the service and atmosphere. Overall I loved the entire experience, and the next time I come back to Nashville, I already know I'll be returning here.

Another "must go" place in Nashville when you research places to eat. We arrived around 11:30 am and waited in line for about 15 minutes before being seated outside on the patio area. The service started out great, but our server disappeared after our food was delivered. She dropped off the check, and a while I went inside to pay and the person at the front counter was VERY put out to run my card. Pancakes were really good -- the sweet potato one was the favorite, followed by the cinnamon roll, and last the banana bread. The hash browns with the added veggies and cheese were delicious!! And the candied bacon was good, although a little expensive for what you get IMO. The cocktail I ordered was fantastic -- light and refreshing.

My friend and I came here on a Tuesday morning, no wait. The service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. It was pretty large here and they sold shirts as well. I did not get a t-shirt but they were pretty cute! 10 out of 10 for fresh squeezed orange juice... so delicious! We ordered the 'Candied Bacon' for our appetizer which was so flavorful and delicious. For our entrees, my friend tried the 'Carrot Cake pancakes' which were a big portion and I tried some. They tasted exactly like carrot cake. They were so moist and fluffy. I ordered the 'Country Fried Steak and Eggs' which also came with pancakes. This was also a big portion, but it was so delicious. The prices were fairly affordable. It was definitely higher prices than an Ihop but also better quality. I 100% would come back and recommend this place.

Heard absolutely great things from so many people so I had to make the trip. I went on a Sunday morning at 8am and had no issue getting a table albeit the line when I left was CRAZY. I got the sampler and tried the cinnamon roll, banana bread, and pigs in a blanket pancakes. The best was the cinnamon roll by a mile. The banana bread didn't taste like banana and the pigs in a blanket had one measly sausage link. What redeems the score overall was the incredible service and the cinnamon syrup. The latter which is worth a visit alone. Would definitely come back.

The restaurant itself is pretty large and has lots of windows. It's a bit outdated and things look worn, but it's part of the charm. Our waiter was not great, not super friendly nor attentive. Food was really good, we enjoyed the eggs and pancakes.

Food First time trying the original Pancake Pantry and I can say I see why I've heard so many great things. We tried an omelet; buttermilk pancakes, Caribbean pancake, and sweet potato pancake and all were exceptional in their individual ways. The star of the show was easily the original buttermilk pancakes, though. Just the right amount of sweetness with fluffiness and paired well with the warm maple syrup. We liked the Caribbean pancake but it didn't need the banana. The combo of pecans and coconut added excellent flavor with crunch. The sweet potato was the least favorite but it wasn't bad. Service Excellent service! Showed up at about 830am and there was no line and we were seated immediately. When we left, there was a line out the door and it was starting to get hot outside. Highly recommend getting there early because I would not stand in a line for some pancakes. Ambiance Pretty loud inside, so if not your thing may want to skip this one. Also, there were kids running around getting in the servers' way but that's more a parent thing than on the restaurant. Plenty of paid parking behind the building and on the street. Would I go back? Yes, as long as I don't have to stand in line

    That looks Amazing!

Second Visit to Pancake Pantry before heading home. If it's good, why not get it again? I love the Pancake Meal with Eggs and Bacon add Hash Brown Potatoes. Everything was cooked as requested. The potatoes are fantastic with over easy eggs. I love the crisp texture, just fantastic. The bacon could be more crisp as I got it extra crispy. The pancakes are phenomenal and that cinnamon crack that comes with it makes it next level deliciousness. This is why I came back again. Fluffy Stacks of Heaven. I love when a restaurant is consistent and makes the food the same every time. You know you are getting a great meal. The service is excellent and we got it to go. I would definitely return and recommend this location. I grabbed a bag of pancake mix to take home for fun and deliciousness later.

We had a lovely time at pancake pantry. We ordered a little bit of everything and we were very happy! Service is quick and set up to get you in and out but you don't feel rushed. Great spot for small groups to enjoy breakfast. Parking is street for free or paid lots. If you love pancakes this place is a must stop!

    Unseasoned Breakfast Tacos.
    courtney c.

I don't understand how this place has 4.5 stars. We ordered through Postmates and the food was disgusting and not as advertised. Breakfast tacos only had egg and greasy, under seasoned pork belly in a flour tortilla (when the heck do tacos have flour tortillas?). Tacos are were supposed to have avocados and crema but only came with a side of salsa and a spoon of mysterious green sauce. Cheese grits... the most deplorable excuse for cheese grits on earth! No season whatsoever. Bland and appalling. My southern ancestors would be so disappointed. Croissant sandwiches were bland and eggs were under seasoned. We asked for mayo and ketchup and received 1 packet of mayo and excessive amounts of mustard (seriously what the heck?!). Pancakes were the only decent item, but they also came with some kind of weird cinnamon sauce that didn't pair with anything. A waste of $112.00. Just avoid this place, like we will.

Ask the Community - The Pancake Pantry

Can I make a reservation for tomorrow morning?

They don't take reservations. First come, first served. Go early cause the line gets long.

Do they have Gluten free Options, for pancakes specifically?

    Yes they do.

    Is there outdoor dining here?

No just indoor. Unless you want to order to go and possibly eat at a nearby park.

I've been hearing a lot about the pancake pantry, and how great it is. But I am a vegan and wanted to know what and if there are many vegan options on the menu?

With this being a breakfast location, there are many items that involve eggs and meat. I would go for the safe route and get pancakes but the catch is the batter is made for you, I assume they use eggs and whole milk. Truthfully not the best place…

Wait time shorter on a Monday? When is the best time to go?

Yes, it should be shorter on a Monday. I would definitely avoid weekend if you're worried about wait time. I also wouldn't be surprised if there was still a line out the door on a Monday. There's just about always a line out the door.

Thankfully when we stopped in on a recent weekday morning there was no wait and we were seated in the most perfect spot right away! We chose an outdoor table! The outdoor patio is so nice, even in the Nashville summer heat!! We got there before it was super hot out and the patio kept us super comfortable the whole time!! :) We had a really great waitress who was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help us make the best decisions for what we were craving!! We started with a couple of drip coffees that came out in adorable cups, on saucers, with spoons, very lovely appearance! Quite delicious! We ordered a fried chicken biscuit sandwich that was served with their home fries and a side of country gravy. This was delicious! I HIGHLY recommend trying their table hot sauce! We loved it so much we bought a bottle to take home!! :) We also ordered the Chicken and waffles. This dish is also served with home fries and a then a side of syrup. This meal was also fantastic!! We had a really great experience at Milk and Honey and would highly recommend for someone looking for not just a good meal, but an entire lovely breakfast experience! :) Don't forget to check out their gift shop and bakery treats to go, on your way out!!

Biscuits: husband and friends loved them!! Could have used more butter but still good. Bloody Mary- YEEEESSS!! It was perfect. Our friend got the hot chicken and he loved it. I had 1 bite and it was definitely hot!! And yes- very good. All in all, a good different brunch place for an out of towner. Nothing amazing that I will come back for. Great customer service!

We live in Michigan so this southern fare was SUCH a welcomed change!! We walked in to this spot and were immediately struck by how cute it is! I would recommend checking out the menu before you go because once you enter you are immediately in the line to place your order at the counter! There isn't a lot of room in this area so standing there trying to read the menu for an extended time is difficult! I love to read the entire menu before deciding so for me, I need the extra time! ;) We placed our order and then they seated us at one of their tables with a number. The kitchen brings out the order to your table when it's ready. Everything on the menu sounded so very good, it was hard to choose! Because I was using yelp to see what the menu items looked like I was able to spot a "secret menu item" as the staff member explained. I ended up order the "Nasty Princess". The princess sandwich, which is the Nashville hot chicken version, but add gravy and and egg! AMAZING! This was so, so good! I highly recommend! I also ordered a side of the fried potatoes, which were also very good but ended up being way too much food!! The biscuit sandwich was very large and incredibly filling!! :) We also ordered an egg plate with an upgrade to the chronic bacon - HIGHLY recommend the chronic bacon!! This was super delicious and very unique!! We LOVED the cheese grits on this plate as well as the biscuit with jam!! This is a good choice if you like a platter of different, separated items! For drinks we tried an Iced Sunshine latte, which was very tasty, but very sweet and over the top for our preferences while eating a meal. The drip coffee was wonderful! A perfect compliment to any dish!! :) Biscuit Love is the perfect southern charm spot for a WONDERFUL breakfast experience! Super kind staff, super delicious food, super cute atmosphere... you can even purchase a mug or piece of cute merch to take home to remember your fun time!! We will for sure be back!

But, their cinnamon pancakes were amazing!! Those were definitely the winner!!! Best pancakes I've ever had. Their three pig omelette was pretty bomb as well. I got some of their sausage gravy on the side, to douse the omelette and that was definitely the move there. I think this is the first time I didn't need to use cholula for flavoring.
