A+++ I loved the perfectly thin and crispy chicken cutlets, I loved the flavorful and fragrant curry sauce and I loved the fluffy rice and al dente noodles. All of these combined together make for the ultimate curry dish, and Abiko absolutely nails it. I've visited their location in Manhattan a few times, so it was a treat to check out their large and inviting space in Jersey. I like how you can order at screens at the table - there are so many things to adjust and add to each dish, so it makes it a whole lot easier to punch into the screen. One of the better curries I've had in the area! came here on a Saturday night around 7pm and it wasn't too crowded! Service was super friendly & fast. My friends and I enjoyed the convenience of ordering through the tablet they had on the table. It's just such a hearty comfort meal for me and I added the crispy garlic for a bit more umami. They all loved the pork cutlet with melted cheese on top too! Takoyaki and curry egg omelet with meatballs were good too - appreciated the deeper beef curry flavor. We placed our orders on the tablet at the table while the staff served us water. I got the beef creamy curry pasta. After tasting all the other stuff we ordered, all the curries use the same sauce, but the pastas had some cream added. You can choose your spice level with any dish. I got the highest level of spice and it was extremely spicy. Add-ons such as pork katsu are available for an additional fee. It gets kind of expensive for curry depending on what you order. I've since moved to the west and haven't found anything as top tier as Abiko. The one thing I always remember about this place is that their spice levels are actually spicy, haha. My friends and I always go for the baby level. This time I mustered up the courage to try a level one basic curry with pork cutlet. It was completely manageable. What I love most about Abiko is the portion size - it's a lot of food and it's so good that you can finish it in one sitting feeling completely satisfied - not disgustingly full. The service here is always friendly and quick. It seems like since the pandemic, you are now given utensils rather than it being available in a drawer on the table. I had heard good things about Abiko Curry but have never gone until dinner tonight. The space is very large and pretty clean. My friend and I came in around 5:30PM and it wasn't busy at all so we were seated immediately. The menu is filled with options so it took us a while to decide on what we would get. We both settled on "Set A" with my friend getting the regular Toppoki curry and I got the Special Rose Toppoki (rice cake) Set A comes with fries (regular and sweet potato), 2 fried dumplings, and a fried noodle roll type of thing. The food came out pretty quick and it was extremely hot (temperature-wise). I also ordered my curry "Original Spicy" and it had a good amount of heat. It wasn't too hot to handle, but it definitely had my nose starting to drip. It hit the sweet spot for me in terms of spice. The curry also had some other flavors other than spice. The curry had good umami flavor with a bit of creaminess. The Rose Toppoki special came with glass noodles, fish cake, and topped with mozzarella cheese. This added a bunch of different textrues to the dish. I dipped the various fried foods into the curry which made for a good pairing. The fried things could've been a little crispier but they weren't too oily which was nice. I did finish all of my food but I ended up being STUFFED. I'm a big eater so an average person could probably split the set with someone and still be satisifed. All in all I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back. read more

I was expecting more Japanese style sausage, so it was a bit disappointing. The shrimp was called King shrimp but was small, but the chicken karaage was good/flavorful. Kids menu katsu looked like it was cut in half from a full piece. I don't mind the portion, but they should make a full piece in a smaller size. This just looks like some leftovers. If you have to go or want to try it out, I recommend getting regular curry with chicken karaage. Spice level 2 was just enough spice for me, but my wife thought it was a bit too spicy. I usually get the mushroom curry noodle spice level 3. I always add on the green onion and garlic flakes for free. Spice level 3 has a good kick to it, but it's not unbearable. I've tried spice level 4 before, but it's a bit too spicy for me. The portion size is good and leaves me feeling satisfied. I have never tried the cream curry pasta, but it sounds very interesting. I'd recommend that they be more clear about their spicy levels on the menu because for those that don't understand Korean they'd miss that mild isn't spicy at all and that the next level - medium is actually about the same as Shin ramen level spiciness.
