We were searching for a ramen place while in Fort Lee and came across Menya. We were not disappointed. The ramen was delicious but it is pretty spicy which we were happy about. The gyoza came out crispier than I've had or seen in the past but it was still delicious. The service was great and attentive. I will be back!

Menya Sandaime is the one of the best Ramen place in USA. The location is better than another one. Because more parking space. The taste is same and less customers.

I would have given 4 stars because they've been pretty tasty in the past but damn today left a bad taste in my mouth. I walked in 12:35, ordered a vegetarian ramen, and the noodles came my way at 12:50. I understand food takes time to cook but I've seen with my eyes the server taking order stubs from Uber Eats/Grub Hub and handing them off to the chef AFTER my order went in, and half those same orders be prepared and packed first. If time wasn't a social construct and I didn't have places to be, fine I'd have no worry in the world at all. But I had 5 min left by the time I went out the door to get back to school so for this I'll be removing a star. Secondly, not sure why this purely vegetable dish cost more than a bowl of pork ramen. If it were to be prepared and packed with an abundant array of vegetables, I would've accepted it but all I had was a handful of sprouts mixed in with cabbage. An extra egg would have been nice, as there was no protein in this dish. Server is a good singer I guess he can have that. I'm annoyed and probably won't be back.

Menya Sandaime is definitely one of my favorite ramen spots as of recently. Service and food are very consistent here. They'll do their best to seat you as quickly as possible despite how busy it sometimes get. They have counter seating and a few tables. As of last time I was in they also still have dividers up between the tables for Covid purposes but also makes it a more private dining experience which I kind of like! The ramen is just really good. Perfect umami levels, topping always compliment the broth and noodles nicely. The noodles are always cooked perfectly, not too underdone or soft and chewy. They have some good options and they are always open to adding and removing things as you please. The karaage chicken is also not be to missed! This chicken is juicy, crispy, and so flavorful. Huge portion size too. Food always is ready quickly but you don't feel rushed. This location also has a parking lot and is BYOB. Would recommend for consistently good ramen!

With the cold weather, nothing is better than some hearty ramen. We decided that we wanted ramen for dinner and trusted good ol' Yelp and some awesome reviews and went to Menya Sandaime. We arrived and there was no wait and was seated immediately. The dining room is small and definitely had that ramen restaurant in Japan aesthetic. We were provided menus and now comes the hard part of deciding which one to order because they all sounded delicious! Plus they had the buns-- fried chicken, pork belly, and shrimp tempura--and they all sounded great as well. And yes we ordered all 3 buns and there was absolutely no regrets! All 3 buns were delish! I had the pork belly bun and the pork belly just literally melted in your mouth--that is how tender the meat was. The bun itself was steamed and very fluffy and accompanied the pork belly well. Each bun was topped with a little spicy Mayo. Our order altogether was brought out fairly quickly. We had ordered a different ramen and we all enjoyed the one we ordered. We ordered the karakuchi ramen, miso ramen, and tonkotsu ramen. We ate our ramen in silence. And you know when you no one speaks...the ramen was speaking for itself! It was delicious! The broth was creamy and with the noodles and pork belly...to die for!! We all were left with empty bowls and full stomachs! Overall we had a wonderful dinner! Service was quick and we received our order within 10 minutes of ordering...and you can't beat that! The waiters were all friendly and very helpful. There is plenty of parking out front. For my #ThankYouThursday2021 it goes to Menya Sandaime in Palisades Park. Thank you for the delicious dinner and I think I have found my new favorite ramen spot! I will definitely be back!

Had always wanted to try the ramen place and I was so glad to learn that a second location was opened recently in Fort Lee. Free parking lot in front. Restaurant is small like most other ramen places but luckily it wasn't busy when we were there for Sunday brunch. Prices were so much better than those in NYC! We opted for Tonkotsu ramen ($9.5!!), Karakuchi ramen (spicy version of Tonkotsu ramen), Black ramen and Shoyu ramen all for $10.5 each. Soup was very flavorful and wasn't greasy. Noodles were chewy which we loved. Read that all noodles were made fresh in the restaurant (at the original location). Each bowl came with three huge char siu pieces. The fried gyoza and pork belly buns were equally amazing. Service was quick and attentive. All the food actually came out pretty quickly at the same time. As we were walking out, the staff asked if it was our first time there. She then gave us a towel with the logo of the restaurant as souvenir. What a great hospitality. Thank you! The ramen was definitely one of the best ones we had and we have been to many places. It's now our favorite ramen place in the hood!

We love ramen and Sandaime is one of our favorite we usually go to the other branch in fort lee first time we go in bergen blvd, today we try their Truffle Ramen a Little pricey but worth it Rich and flavorful. Not sure if the one who assisted us is a manager or owner and he give us a complimentary fried gyoza Thank you so much. We highly recommend this ramen place and please try also the pork steamed buns and the karaage and all the ramen is all good

Slightly better than the original location. Broth is also bland here - just doesn't have the potency that ramen broth needs to have. Coupled with the fact that the veggies are always way overboard, it just doesn't do it for me here. It's more like hot pot / Shabu Shabu rather than ramen. The noodles are pretty good though, so that's a bump up. The pork was also cooked well but it was on the more bitter side... I had higher hopes because a few people had recommended I give it a try as they found it better than the original. It is indeed better but still same playing field. The service was super speedy like the other location, rushing you out. And though the parking situation is better, getting in/out can be a pain depending on the busyness of Bergen Blvd, the major road.

This is the a ramen chain from Korea. They offer flavorful Japanese ramen, probably they best in NJ. I use to frequent their first US location in Fort Lee on Parker Ave but they have since expanded to 3 more locations and this one is probably the newest. The restaurant is very small and intimate. They set up dividers between tables to prevent the spread of COVID. The staff is always friendly. My go to is their tonkotsu ramen with gyoza. The broth always has depth of flavor. They also offer seasonal items, I think currently they are offer two dripping noodles (tsukemen) for the summer.

My best friends and I love it here!!:) Everyone's been super nice and food tastes great! Cin is such a creative menu developer and Chef, coming up with a special Truffle Ramen during the winter time. It was DELICIOUS!!! They've got a lot more up their sleeve at this location and I can't wait to see what else they'll be coming up with! My best friend likes that she can request to have certain ingredients omitted (Ie. No eggs, no bean sprouts etc.)., and we like that there's options of trying out some Japanese beverages!

Everything was so delicious! I would highly recommend. Specifically this location offers these sides, I have yet to order from another location because of it. The fried chicken is so good! I don't know how they get the chicken to be that juicy and tender. I do wish there was a different dipping sauce though, I think right now they're serving spicy mayo. The pork bun was also really good. Pork was not dry at all, which is my complaint at most places. I really wish they offered desserts! I would give them a five but I really had a hard time understanding the person taking my order over the phone. Even when I got there and spoke to them in person, they just did not seem like they wanted to be there.

    Spicy ramen!

Great spot in NJ for ramen. We got the karaage bun and the pork belly bun for appetizer and both were well seasoned and tasted like they knew what to do. I especially like the sauce that came with them. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and the spicy ramen and both were amazing. The broth was creamy, the ramen noodles had a nice chew to them and the chashu slices were, Oh, so tender! Wished they had kadanma "extra serving of noodles" on the menu as the broth was too good leave unused. Ps very friendly servers and they made our experience better than the ramen already was

Sadly, the noodles were so overcooked they staged a rebellion, stubbornly sticking together into one dense, doughy ball before we could even dip them properly. The Chashu didn't fare much better--it was about 60% fat to 40% meat, which isn't a "premium cut" so much as a "choose-to-skip" cut. Worst of all was the kid's bowl: my daughter rejected it after a single salty sip (and kids are basically sodium vacuums). Overall, the quality has plummeted since our last visit. They are known for dipping ramen, but I didn't get that. I got the tonkotsu broth Ajitama because I didn't want that much meat and I wanted to make sure I got an egg. The broth was delicious, not too salty but very rich and umami in flavor. I love the addition of wood ear mushroom and the noodles had a great chewy texture. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

Kimchi sides were a mix of aged deep/sour kind (right up my alley). As for other comments about the 'bland' bone broth, it's supposed to be bland and they give you a number of condiments to suit your taste. It's BYOB, so bring your beer soju or somaks and join the crowd. Priced fair and with generous portions. We will be back again.
