I am well into my second prepaid contract with Arbor-Nomics, but my yard looks as though my house is abandoned. Grass is just beginning to grow, but the weeds are in full force and show no evidence of letting up anytime soon. I have called Arbor-Nomics multiple times to have the technicians retreat my yard. They come back, but the results are the same. One reason there is little progress in ridding my yard of weeds is because techs rush through the treatments. I even commented to one tech about the speed at which they spray my yard. There is no way they are covering my entire lawn. The tech mentioned something about efficiency. Maybe technicians are paid based upon the number of yards they visit, but efficiency should not mean half doing the job at hand. Apparently, something is going wrong, and my yard is proof. A telephone rep told me the weeds were bad because of the amount of rain we had. Well, my neighbors' yards receive the same amount of rain, yet there is no comparison between their yards and mine. We have lived in our home over 35 years. We have used at least 4 lawn services along with trying to do it ourselves. Our experience over 32 years has been from horrendous to terrible to poor. About 2 years ago we switched to Arbor-Nomics. Our lawn has gone from ok to really good to fantastic. I don't know what they do exactly that makes them the best lawn service we have ever used,. It could be there expert service people or the products they use, but whatever it is our lawn has never been so lush and weed free. Oh and by the way there prices are as low as we have ever paid. I have used Arbornomics for over 2 years thinking I would make sure to give them enough of a chance to help my yard. They have been doing the weed and feed and then fall aerating and seeding duiring that time. Currently my lawn (or what is left of it) is worse than it has ever been! I called them out to my house to show them what is going on but no one really offered any solution. I even emailed one of the owners and have had no response (it has been over a month now). Long story short, unless you like more weeds and dirt than grass, stay away from Arbornomics!!!!! read more

I've used Arbor-nomics for many years now. We had an incident a few years ago but they resolved it and we moved on. Their results have been pretty good although they have started to waiver as of late. That said, the nail in the coffin for cancelling is related to their latest monthly Buggette newsletter, which included a half page dedicated to "A prayer to share with friends." A very pointed, opinionated and judgmental sermon they shared from a pastor in Kansas. I'm all for sharing opinions, traditions and beliefs but not in my fertilizer. Good luck to you and take a note from Walmart and Marriott, leverage religious beliefs to drive business practices and principles but not to educate your customers on what they did wrong and need to be sorry for. read more

My mother has had their service for many years. Not great but not bad enough to fire them. That changed this year. Lawn worse than ever. Complaints not addressed. The guy who came to spray says they don't spray for our kind of weed. The expert who is supposed to come by and inspect never showed up. An email complaint gets answered with a promise someone (Sam) will call, but he didn't. Now that they have been fired the manager calls within a couple of hours, apologizes for what he calls an inconvenience. It's not an inconvenience, it's really lousy service and even worse results. read more

I used this service for years and they did a good job but had to drop them when I was out of work. I signed up again in January of 2021 and pre-paid for the full year. About Sept I noticed I hadn't seen them in several months. I called them in early Oct. and they apologized and said they were short staffed and they would send someone out. That left me with 4 treatments to cram into 3 months. This is a time period that should see 1 or 2 treatments at most as the summer was over and the bermuda was going dormant. When I complained they said that they would extend my open treatments into 2022 but then they proceeded to come out every 3 weeks to put down the same treatment which wasn't needed. They even tried to come out at the end of Dec for the 4th treatment but the guy had just been out there a week before. They clearly used their limited resources to cover monthly paying customers at the expense of their pre-paid customers then they go and increase their prices by 20%. I won't be using this company ever again. They are full of excuses and short on execution. read more

My lawn never looked worse during the 2 years they treated my lawn. It has thinned and has weeds even though they are treating for it. Have asked for service and was told it is fine and needs time. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Stopped using them a couple of years ago when we moved away and rented the home (and relocated out-of-state temporarily) and ultimately moved back in and re-engaged. They call before service although don't think I've answered once and provide handwritten notes on the invoice explaining what they were applying and why. This is one the most difficult businesses to work this. Yes, our yard looks DECENT. However, they showed up to our house several times, treated the yard and then billed me when I DID NOT agree to the service. One time (and the last time) they treated the yard when we didn't even own the home! WE WEREN'T LIVING THERE and they sent a bill. The new homeowners sent us the bill with MY name on it and the "customer service" people have been rude, incompetent and and still telling me I owe them money. They are pressuring me and trying to force me to pay for a job they did when I didn't even agree to it....and this happened a few other times with them as well. I would definitely NOT recommend Arbornomics for your lawn care service. I usually do not write reviews, but this experience truly concerned me to the point that I thought I should save other customers from being taken advantage of. Let me share my experience: We were told that an application was made to our yard (and we were billed for that application), then we found out that the technician never actually applied the treatments! Yes, that is correct... we were billed for services that were never received. I started using Arbornomics a few months ago after I installed new sod in the backyard and started seeing weeds pop up. We were told this was normal for new sod to have some weed growth in the early stages, but that they could take care of them as soon as the sod was rooted. A few months pass and after one application on the new sod, we saw no real progress. In fact, the weeds were actually multiplying and getting out of hand. We then call Arbornomics to come by for the second treatment, and they explain we should start to see the weeds die off in the coming weeks. I come home that afternoon to find a bill on my door that states the second application was made to the front and the back yard... there is only one problem with that... I forget that my fence doors were pad locked. (There was no way they could get over this fence without a ladder). I call to explain that I had forgotten to unlock the doors, and wanted to understand how they were able to get the application down. I get a call back two days later where an employee awkwardly admits that they did not apply the treatments and that he would get out there as soon as possible to apply them. Needless to say, this experience was pretty disturbing and I thought it would be prudent to share with potential customers. For those customers that have seen no progress with the services, you may now know why. read more

We are extremely happy with Arbor-Nomics and the service they have given us! We used Arbor Nomics previously at our old house, but when we moved in to our new home weed control was included in our monthly maintenance from our lawn maintenance company. This was a huge mistake! Our yard had never looked worse and we ended up firing the maintenance company switching to Arbor Nomics for weed control. We decided to go with the platinum plan because it covers aeration and over seeding as well as treating for hardy weeds. Arbor Nomics always leaves us a detailed explanation of the service they performed that month and any recommendations to improve our lawn. Be sure to read about the different plans and what they include. Some other users have complained about certain weeds not being treated, and if you want hardy weeds treated you'll need a plan with that included. read more

Their service is ok, but whatever chemical they use to treat our lawn does very little to improve the appearance. It does keep the weeds down, but that's about all. The lawns right next to us, in front of us, and across the street look lush, dense and very green compared to ours which is looking pale, patchy and thinner every year. We tried their aeration system last year in hopes that might help, but it actually made the lawn look worse, because large areas began to erode within a month. read more

In 2001, I had JaMur Zoysia sod installed in my yard. I asked the installer if he had any recommendations of a company to do the fertilization, weed control, etc. He recommended Arbor-Nomics, a company he had been recommending for years. I have been using the company ever since and have been extremely satisfied with the results and with the prompt service provided by the people who come out, primarily Lee and Michael. In addition to the JaMur Zoysia grass, I have over 100 Azaleas, Rhododendron and numerous ornamental trees and shrubs that Arbor-Nomics treats. Prior to using Arbor-Nomics, I had used other companies, but had not been pleased with the results. I found that the knowledge of the Arbor-Nomics staff and their prompt service is a cut above the other companies I've used. Much of what Arbor-Nomics and other companies do is fertilization and preventative treatments for diseases and insects that can attack trees, shrubs and grass. The difference that I found with Arbor-Nomics is that they are very knowledgeable about what the disease or insect is and they know how to treat it. Zoysia has a tendency to get a fungus especially if there is a lot of rain. It has to be spotted early and treated quickly. Azaleas are susceptible to various insects and diseases if not treated on a timely basis. Anytime I have called Arbor-Nomics with a question or concern, they have been quick to respond and treat (or retreat). Rather than have a "one size fits all" treatment plan, they come up with a plan that is specific to your grass, trees and shrubs. I like the personalized approach since everyone's yard is different. Last year I upgraded to their "Platinum Plan" that includes monthly treatments, grub control (virtually eliminated my mole problem), annual aeration and pro-active fungus control. It may not be the plan for everyone, but I've found it to be much more cost effective with better results. This year I de-thatched my yard, which put a lot of stress on the grass. Lee and Michael came up with a plan to rejuvenate the lawn. Six weeks later and the results have been spectacular. No company is perfect and with grass and plants, there will always be problems. For me the key is addressing the issues quickly, which Arbor-Nomics has done for me. read more

Until this month they provided very good service and quality results for the last 12 years. However, the tech was skipping my back yard for several months and now it's full of weeds. I emailed them including pics and no reply as of yet. If you use them I recommend requiring the tech to notify you upon arrival and monitor their service until finished with the yard. read more

Just recently started using them and after two treatments the weeds are almost gone. They were up front with me and said my lawn will take awhile to be great, probably next year. I'm glad they were upfront with me and not setting too high of expectations for this year. As long as I see improvements after each visit I'll be happy. It's a little more money than I'm used to paying for this type of service but I want a nice lawn. In September of 2018, our property suffered a catastrophic disaster from an application of an herbicide by one of the new technicians that worked for Arbor-Nomics. We had been doing business with them for many years but shortly after that application we began that everything that application touched was starting to turn brown and die. I immediately called Arbor-Nomics to ask for their help and was informed that I was not the only one who had the same misapplication with the same result. Doug Cash immediately came over and announced that they as a company would do everything in their power to correct the issue no matter the cost. Considering it was the fall of that year and some of the plants we wouldn't know the effect of the misapplication until this past Spring I was more than happy to give him a chance, reluctantly. I can say that Doug took every call, responded to ever message and supplied for and paid for every plant that needed to be replaced. I was so impressed by his customer service that I swore he'd have my continued business should this continue. I am happy to report that here we are 1.5 years after this terrible mistake and in many ways the property looks better than it did before the mishap. Arbor-Nomics and their team worked overtime on our issue. They completely understand the meaning of customer service and will go out of their way to do as they committed to do. A big thank you to Doug Cash, V.P. Arbor-Nomics for your efforts. I have been using this lawn care company for about 17 years and they are great!!! My lawn looks good year after year and if by chance there are weeds (which can happen) or if something is not just right you can call the technician or one of the managers and it is taken care of right away. Was with them for about 4 years. We disagree on how much and when to fertilize my tall Fescue and I have had problems with brown patch disease a lot so we have parted ways. Their customer service guy called me trying to make it right and explained why I got his starter fertilizer treatment in August. That is great for other types of lawns but too early for my tall fescue lawn. It would have been a perfect time for a grub/pest treatment. Since then I have lost about 1/2 the yard due to fungus/Brown Patch that I think could have been prevented or caught early. I will take over my yard maintenance and have it dethatched, reseeded, aerated and fertilized in October. I never used their service from September to about April while my grass is in its high growth stage. BTW my yard looks like the Masters golf course every April. read more

I began service with Arbor-Nomics in September and agreed to 7 treatments per year. The technician started coming every 3-4 weeks so I questioned him about the frequency and he replied that that he needed to squeeze all the missed treatments into the last 4 months at $132 a treatment. I reviewed the treatments and settled on 3 before year-end. I also noticed a brown patch in grass and inquired about it but he said it was normal dormant grass. Now they are saying I need an additional $600 in treatments for the Zoysia Patch since I didn't treat it in the fall even though I had asked about it. I have called and been transferred to voicemails with no return calls and left message for Manager over Marietta but still no return call. I would not recommend this company based upon their poor customer service and now that I have further investigated other lawn services, I have discovered they are more expensive than competitors. read more

Have been using Arbor Nomics since we closed on our new construction almost one year ago. Our next door neighbor had been using their service and recommended them. We signed up for their Silver Plan to maintain the sod. Soon after signing the agreement we started seeing crab grass come up everywhere. We called them several times and were told it had been taken care of, but the crab grass didn't go away and just kept popping up everywhere. After a few months, we upgraded to the Platinum Plan thinking that the additional services would take care of it. That didn't happen. Now it's winter, our sod is brown but the crab grass is green and thriving. Today we received a collection notice for the Platinum Plan payments. We will go ahead and pay them, but cancel our service. Also found out our neighbor that recommended Arbor Nomics also canceled their service. I would not recommend this business. read more

I started utilizing Arbor Nomics about a year and half back based on good reviews that I heard from sites like Angie's list. However disappointed to say that I just canceled my service today . I have done the annual payment plan and get 7 treatments @ about $36 each . I have Bermuda yard , and in spite of regular treatments, the grass continues to have brown spots in various places. Initially when I started the treatments, I was told that I would be given tips on how to improve the grass but that never happened. Also, they tried to sell me additional services which I told I would consider at the start of the 2013 and the personnel decided to do it anyway, even though I never authorized it. Finally I got fed up when I got a call this morning about having a balance which is why no treatment was done for 3 months. Decided to make that payment and cancel this relationship. read more

I really couldn't recommend Arbor-Nomics to anyone today. We had several good years with them, even referring friends + neighbors to use their services, however 2019 was a complete letdown. We were signed up for 7 treatments a year, but they appeared to fall behind and we couldn't get anyone to come service our lawn. With new sod laid this spring, I had to communicate three separate times (one email and two phone calls), just to get a tech to come out and do a treatment once the sod had rooted. "We're so sorry, we won't let you down again. That was our bad and we won't charge you" was what I was told. Well, they billed us (we paid) and then they dropped off the planet for another three months. The tech texted me on a Monday night at 21:30 stating he'd be there the next day, Tuesday, confirming the date again. Well, the whole week went by and he never showed up or provided any update. I'm not going to beg someone to take my money and it's shameful that a business can't get the basics correct. I spent thousands on a new lawn and had even spoken to a manager at Arbor-Nomics about my concerns and disappointment. I'd be hard pressed to calculate the extra time and money it's cost me to salvage my lawn after the neglect Arbor-Nomics caused. There are a lot of folks in the lawn fertilization business and Arbor-Nomics is unfortunately one I wouldn't waste your time with. read more
