I went into this bussiness to get a little help on a new caliper. it might have taken one of their tech guys 10 to 15 minutes. I first talked to a nice younger guy at the counter, then one of the owners stepped in. He doesn't say boo, hi or anything other than 125.00 . I politely question why so much for such a little job . This owner shoved the caliper accross the counter to me and said have a nice day and turned and walked away. I was fully prepared to pay , I needed a little help . His arrogance was more than any customer wants to hear. It's a shame he missed the class on customer relations. Been going in this place 25 years, never again! read more

Never have I ever had such great service at a parts place. Hydro boost system from my 37 year old truck was leaking. I showed up at 1pm, Pedro took measurements. Dropped my whole system off at the shop at 2pm. Hydro boost, master, lines, and power steering pump. They built 7 lines of various high pressure, low pressure, return lines from steering box, all retrofitted with A-N fittings. Swapped a power steering reservoir on to my old pump, soldered A-N fittings to that, and mated my old back plate w/ pin to the new reservoir/hydro boost. I picked it up at 4:45. These guys have always handled their business. They are pros they are quick they don't mess around. I just recently had to take a rebuilt caliper back to them because I stripped the bleeder screw. They fixed it for me in 45 minutes they didn't even ask me for any money I paid them anyways they are solid. I will refer these guys to anybody. I've built a few hot rods they always have what I need available from my 1962 galaxie, to my 54 Ford country Squire wagon. And now my 63 Studebaker Wagoneer my daughters car. Horrible customer service!!!! Called them today looking for a front disc brake set up for my 1969 impala and the sales guy was extremely rude short and no help at all!!! His answer is , we don't have anything for your car but there catalogs say different. He did no attempt to make suggestions or help in any way. He obviously did not want to make a sale. Glad I figured out there poor customer service before I ordered anything. The sad part , I was referred to them by a friend. i purchased a power steering conversion kit from this place and have had nothing but problems from the start. the crew behind the counter SUCKS i have had better service at Mc Donald's anyway if not for Pedro I would have given up after buying a boat load of parts to make this conversion work the steering box leaks! I spoke to Pedro who said yea its been a issue with them boxes, so just bring it back. Okay! after removing the box and taking it in, the problem was fixed. so guess what IT STILL F**king leaks and although they say they can fix it I will not pay another mechanic to remove it again. btw Auto zone sells the 605 box at the same price with a lifetime guarantee. They look busy and seem they would rather answer the phone then deal with a customer (you) at the counter ready to spend the money. I have a 1967 Pontiac GTO currently putting out in excess of 500 hp. It had drum brakes all around. I needed front discs, but wanted to keep my 14" Rally I wheels. I tried SSBC conversion kit and the car stopped worse than with the drums. I ran across ABS at SEMA 2017, and Lucio Gomez said he would make up a dual caliper setup for me that would fit 14" wheels, two calipers per rotor. The first attempt didn't work because the second caliper needed more machining. I told this to Lucio and he got right on re-machining the calipers. Ultimately now the whole system fits, I can stand the car on its nose. Great brakes, and more importantly great customer service and follow up. He delivers what he claims. I will use him again. read more

I was referred to ABS by a reputable shop in South Orange County. I took my 67 Mustang to ABS first thing one Saturday morning. Pedro took my car for a test drive and knew exactly where the problem was with my brakes. He had a mechanic check out a couple of things, provided me with the options, and they took care of it. My brakes have never felt or stopped this good over the 5 years that I've owned the car. Pedro didn't try to up-sell me a bunch of crap and what he charged me was reasonable. I want to acknowledge the excellent customer service that Pedro provided. He was running the parts counter and answering phones but it's obvious that he's got hands-on practical experience too. Thinking back I wish I had bought the disc brake kit from ABS. It would have saved me a bunch of time and money. read more

took my brakes here to get some service done and here is my experience. customer service: they could use some classes on how to be freindier to customers. they would be a great company if they knew how to deal with customers better. they were not rude but human relations would take them to a new level. most people would be willing to pay the price they ask for if the customer didnt feel like they were treated the way they get treated. i felt like they were just emotionless automations behind the counter. the old guy in the front didnt even seem like he wanted to be there or at least looked like it to me. sometimes retirement isnt really that bad. price: they are a little higher priced than one would expect. the issue i have is that they need to disclose the cost before doing the work. they took my part and did a 10 min job on it and wanted to get paid for it with out letting me know how much beforehand. the price is not that great overall. they do take credit cards which helps most of us who dont have cash readily. the work: the work was done to my satisfaction, hence the 2 star i gave them. they did the work and was able to complete it without any issues. they were able to work on it the moment i came there. so i didnt need to come back. location: its local enough for me to drive to without too much complaint. it is hidden and one would need to know it was even there in the first place. i would not have even stumbled on this place in a million years. i would only recommend this place if you have no other place to go to or if you have a really specialized job that no one else can do it. this is truely the last place you want to go to and this is from a person who really didnt have a completely bad experience. i do feel they will the job done but dont expect some sort of custom work you did yourself to be done the way you would have done it yourself. read more

Was told about ABS Brakes from Classic Car Shop in HB. The shop in HB has a great reputation and suggested to talk to Pedro at ABS because of my highly specialized setup in my classic car/hot rod. I took a little drive to down to Old Towne Orange and while I was there, I poked around a bit in there shop and saw many other high end classics, hot rods and antiques which really put my mind at ease. Talked to Pedro briefly, took my 1964 Chevy Impala for a test drive and he immediately knew what the problem was. I honestly expected to have him tell me I have to replace this, that, or the other thing, meaning $$$ but turned out that it was quite the opposite. I brought the car back a week or so later (you have to make an appointment because these guys are in demand) and they called me the same day and said the car was done.
