If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Clayton and Josh (father and son) are a dynamic duo of car repair and auto detailing! Personal, professional and knowledgeable, they bring decades of experience explaining every aspect of my car's needs. I had gone to a dealership to get a complete look at my car and was shocked that they wanted to charge me over $1180 for what turned out to be little over $200 of service. my first experience and they saved me almost a grand! Now, they are my 'go-to' for all my car needs (two 100k+ autos) even though I live over an hour away! These two gentlemen are honest, thorough and fair and are more than happy to explain to you what needs addressing, when and how much it will cost. It has been a long time since I have encountered the sort of customer service that I experienced here. I needed to have my rear brakes and rotors replaced and Josh was transparent with his pricing and the workmanship carries a two year guarantee which is significantly longer than anyone else I have experienced. Josh and his father have an incredibly clean and orderly garage and the work was about 25% less than the dealer and about 10% less than other mechanics in the area. He doesn't skimp on parts and goes above and beyond to make the experience as positive as possible. Josh explained that he uses ceramic brake pads and coated rotors (so they won't be become rusty) among other clearly explained parts and services. I highly recommend Absolute Auto Service and plan to use them again in the future. Definitely worth giving them a call and a chance to win you over. I only wish more businesses approached their work with similar professionalism and care. read more

Last month I let them know I was looking for a "fun" vehicle and they found me a Jeep Wrangler in my price range with a solid future ahead of it :) I couldn't be happier. I don't think I'll go back and I definitely won't recommend this place to my friends. I should have checked with Yelp before I went, but I was desperately in need of some interior cleaning for my car and didn't really see other places around my neighborhood. Spots were missed despite the "hand cleaning" and a rough patch was left on one of my seats from their overly harsh cleaner. I made them fix the rough patch (i.e., the guy softened it with some leather cleaner - don't know why, they're fabric seats). He tried to explain to me that sometimes the cleaner will do that - to which I told him to try a different product that won't ruin their customers' cars - and futilely tried to explain that the cleaner goes in to grab the stain and then like "freezes" at the top... (what?!). It was only after I had paid that he apologized for "the inconvenience" of the rough patch, but by then, the damage is done, right? The "manager" guy charged me $100 for a cleaning, shampooing, vacuuming of my car's interior, including the inside of the trunk (not sure why they did that - I only wanted the actual interior of my car). I left disappointed that I shelled out a lot of money for not that great of a cleaning. read more

I took my Civic in for a Mini Detail service. They were pretty friendly on the phone but I wasn't really able to make an appointment for a specific time, nor figure out exactly how long the service would take. I asked them to call me when the car was done, and after waiting 2.5 hours I called to check on it, and they said it was finished. But who knows how long it sat there. That being said, they did a pretty good job for $50. Everything was clean and shiny and the carpets were cleaner than I'd ever be able to vacuum them myself. I'm happy but I will be checking out places that offer a detail service to compare. read more

Not sure why all the bad reviews? I've been taking my car here for years and never had a bad experience. They are always super friendly and professional. Even offering to touch up paint spots for me when I remember to bring my paint. I usually drop my car off the night before and expect to pick it up at closing time the next day. I had horrific mold. Took the car to my guy in Newton MA, but after 2 detailings at his place, the car still reeked. I called Galaxy in West Newton. They recommended Absolute Auto. Absolute owner, Clayton, pulled up a portion of the carpet and using his own hand, probably risking his health, felt the true extent of the infestation. He invited me to do the same. I declined. He explained what he'd have to do, that the job would take a week. I left the car in his hand. I just picked it up. Right on time. He showed me photos of every step of the process. My poor car. Also hazardous to my health, I'd had a diseased cabin air filter. I didn't even know where it was located, never mind that it needed replacement. Clayton will take care of that. I phoned to asked about their service. When I asked him HOW he hand washed, he said he didn't understand. What do you USE to hand wash, I asked? I wanted to find out if they used brushes, or lambswool. He seemed put off by my questions. A bit of a language barrier, as well. After I got the answer, I told him I had problems with people joy riding my car, and could he confirm that I would pick it up with the same number of miles I dropped it off with. He hung up on me. I was truly impressed with the friendly family like atmosphere that I had encountered. I am not sure of the few bad reviews. The workers did an awesome job on my car. They even looked over my other car for free to see what may be going on with it. They also were very friendly, and very detailed. They made you feel as though they really cared. Their prices are not high at all and they work with you if you can't afford certain areas. Like any areas of life, some things just can't be fixed to perfection all the time. Depending on the severity of the problem. However, they do an excellent job and I would recommend them to everyone !! Don't allow a few negatives to keep you from the best.
