I brought my daughter here to have a procedure done by an oral surgeon. Prior to this we had seen two other oral surgeons. One of them made us very uncomfortable and the other wasn't covered by our insurance (so I'm not sure why the insurance sent us there). I believe our surgeon's name is Dr. Partovi. He was excellent. It's been about a year since the procedure. Everything healed nicely and we didn't have any issues after the procedure. The staff was so great with my then 13 year old daughter and couldn't stop talking about how sweet and funny she was. One thing we didn't realize when she was having the procedure done, was that my daughter was going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal. The dermatologist kept telling us it was "bad eczema" and to use more steroid cream. This is kind of unrelated, but a few of the oral surgeons we met with were judgemental about my daughter's skin condition. Which is obviously a "them" problem. We didn't know why her "eczema" was so bad. We were kind of terrified and having people be judgemental wasn't helping. I share all of this bc at Absolute Dental everyone was kind and non-judgmental. I'm finding more and more that kindness and compassion are rare in medicine, but we found it here. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because when we arrived on the day of the procedure I was told that my insurance didn't cover all the sedation needed and they wanted hundreds of dollars. I don't have a problem with that and I wanted my daughter to be sedated for the entire length of the procedure, but it would've been nice to have some notice about that. My daughter and I had a very disappointing experience at this office. Where do I even start.. First, our June 8 appointments were canceled because the doctor was unavailable. Yet we received an appointment reminder and never received notice of the cancellation. We only found out after arriving and being told we were not on the schedule and the doctor was not in. While reviewing my daughter's X-rays, staff made inappropriate comments and the dentist later asked, "Why is this so bad?" No patient should feel judged or embarrassed when seeking dental care. That's the whole point of even being there! The financial consultation was also frustrating. I was given conflicting information about treatment recommendations and felt pressured toward a larger treatment plan. The finance lady kept interrupting me when I asked a question and speaking over me. We were assured that a medical facility where my sons oral surgery was to take place was insured by our insurance. It was a lie. A month in a half later we received a bill from the facility and told that the insurance company denied the claim. When we called absolute dental they denied ever stating that the facility would be paid by our insurance. We are now having to work with the facility to get it paid. It's almost a $3000 bill. Also when the surgery was done they didn't even come out to speak to me about how it went. This is terrible behavior, what doctor doesn't go out to speak to the parents of a patient they just performed oral surgery on. Everyone needs to avoid this place at all costs! They try to sell you things you don't need, and they lie you. They told me I needed a laser treatment, a heavy cleaning, and two root canals. I told them I would think about it and left after a regular cleaning. I went in for an office visit, x-rays, and cleaning. They notified me that I was in need of two root canals. I found that a little odd at first, because a root canal usually grows (and takes years to grow) from a pre-existing cavity that was not taken care of. I go to the dentist every six months, so I found that a little weird. I decided to go to a different dentist, and guess what? They told me I had zero cavities, and nothing wrong with my teeth. They even showed me the X-rays. They also informed me that a deep cleaning is not needed and I didn't need a laser treatment. Absolute dental charges double-triple because many people who go there pay cash. They were going to rip me off of thousands of dollars for root canals that I didn't have. Paid $250 for a cleaning that was only done to the bottom of my mouth because I was scheduled for a day their ortho team wasn't in office (third time this has happened, typical) to remove my top wire (braces on top, none on bottom). The supervisor(?) has stated I needed the cleaning or they would stop ortho treatment under my contract. Great. Full price for a half cleaning. Next they'll charge me double for the top for all the tartar buildup. I shouldn't be charged for my next cleaning, or at least given a 50% discount. Also worth noting from another visit, the supervisor(?) talked AT me in Spanish because I didn't understand her explanation. So she assumes a different language would be the solution? Very ignorant. The hygienists are okay, they're just told to sell you laser treatments and electric toothbrushes by corporate. The quality of service on their end is fine but could do without the salesman aspect. I booked my daughter an appointment for the kids dentistry. Not only did they send a text to check in when I got there but when I arrived the door was locked, we tried one other door before the adult dentistry. We walked in and they said they were closed which shows a lack of communication on their side. We asked the manager and she said a lot more family's walked in and they were unsatisfied. Warning: Please do not come to this location. The previous reviews about them trying to sell you stuff you don't need are correct and I wish I would have read the reviews for this location prior to making an appointment. I made an appointment for a routine 6 month cleaning only. I made my appointment for 2:30p and I got there 15 mins early to allow time to fill out new paperwork. I literally waited in the lobby for 2 hours before I was brought back. That seemed to be the trend for this location because 2 other ladies had been sitting there for hours and had to leave without being seen due to it taking so long. When I got back to the back area, they took x-rays and took me to the chair to wait for the Dr. The Dr. never came and I was greeted by the office manager instead who informed me that I would need a deep cleaning (the cleaning that requires anesthesia) instead of a regular cleaning and a night guard due to grinding of my teeth. She also let me know that the hygienist had left for the day (since it was now 4:45p) and I'd have to come back for the cleaning. She said I could pay for the night guard today and they would hold payment today for my cleaning that would take place another day. I said ok, that's fine, but I might cancel if my old dentist across town was able to fit me in. The only reason I was coming to this new location was to get a 6 month cleaning on time. My old dentist was booked out for another few months and short staffed at the time. I ended up calling 2 days later to cancel the cleaning since my old dentist was able to fit me in for a 6 month cleaning and he also let me know that the deep cleaning that Absolute Dental was pushing me to get wasn't needed. Also, the night guard wasn't needed either, he stated that my teeth have no signs of wear from grinding. When I called to cancel with Absolute Dental, the office manager said that corporate would refund me the cleaning hold within 6 weeks. It's been 11 weeks and I still haven't received a refund. I've emailed them and called them and have gotten no response to my inquiry about my refund. Please please please avoid this location at all costs. They don't have good practices and they will push you to buy services you don't need. If they tell you that you need a service done that's more than the regular 6 month cleaning, I would highly recommend getting a 2nd opinion before you book a procedure or service with them. read more

I received a root canal, a temporary crown and another filling all on the same day. Although root canals typically have a reputation of being painful, they were right when they said the worst part would be the initial numbing shots and holding your mouth open for so long. Not only was it not a painful experience but the expertise and kindness of the staff really put me at ease, dentist offices usually give me a lot of anxiety but thanks to this place and its staff I walked out feeling better than when I walked in. I will 100% recommend this place and will be coming back whenever I need dental care. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I could write a book on what they did and are doing to me but I'll just give the highlights: It was the last day for my Cobra insurance and this place had an opening so I took it. I only wanted a cleaning but knew I potentially needed more because of a medication I was previously on that caused decay on my teeth. 1. I check in and Mimi tells me I have no coverage. I have to go outside and get my insurance on the phone and they confirm I do so I let them tell her. So I get pushed to the end of the line and have to wait an hour to go back to the exam area. 2. I have x-rays done, then I'm informed by the dental hygienist that I need a deep cleaning. I just had my teeth cleaned eight months prior and I have never in my life needed a deep cleaning. I said what happens if I refuse the deep cleaning, she said they wouldn't do any work. I needed to have four crowns , so I agreed to have a deep cleaning that I knew I didn't need. The hygienist spent less than an hour and a half supposedly doing a deep cleaning on my entire mouth. SHE DID NOT DO A DEEP CLEANING AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO AN ENTIRE MOUTH IN ONE DAY! Even with missing molars in the back. I was charged $850, Insurance does not cover deep cleaning, for a service I didn't need and didn't receive. When I came in to get my permanent crowns, I questioned the hygienist, and even told her that she said when she was doing it, that she had to "hurry" since I needed four crowns. In the paperwork that I received on my account, she called me a liar and misquoted what I said. She also falsified my perio chart which I confirmed by going to another dentist and put numbers that were so far off that it wasn't even possible. (This is from a hygienist at another office that has been doing it for 40 years) SHE NEVER MEASURED MY GUMS!!! 3. The day I went in to get my permanent crowns, I'm in the chair for 45 minutes with a young man who couldn't answer any questions. I finally find out that someone didn't answer an email so I had to have my temporaries completely redone. Which meant I had to get all the numbing shots in the bottom of my mouth again, which is very painful. Two of the temporaries fell out a week later. I went in to have one put back in, and it was such a miserable experience that When the second one fell out, I just left it out. 4. Since they were doing four teeth, it was hard to know which ones they were doing. After requesting the paperwork, I see that they did a different tooth than what I paid for. (I had to finance $3900 of work on the credit card they push.) 5. I asked for a name and number of someone I could call and talk to because there was no office manager there apparently. They gave me the name and number to Yolanda Garcia, without telling me exactly who she was. I got lucky that she answered the phone, I explained the situation, she said she would investigate and call me back the next day. Five days later, no call. After many attempts, I finally got her on the phone, where she explained that after her investigation, she found that I did receive a deep cleaning. I have text messages from before I received the so-called deep cleaning and after, and can prove that it never happened. 6. Second attempt at getting my permanent crowns. A young man is going to remove my temporaries. He has no idea which ones are my temporaries and proceeds to start to pull out one of my permanent teeth!! I had to tell him, even though he's looking at an x-ray, which ones they were. The doctor spends maybe 10 minutes, putting in my permanent crowns. No one ever checked my bite, or even asked me if it was OK. 7. As I'm leaving and checking out, I asked why they didn't do the tooth that I paid for. This girl said she was filling in for the office manager, Annette, and all she could see in my file was that they didn't want to have to numb the bottom right side of my mouth. She said she would have Annette call me. She never did! 8. I spent a month sending emails, voicemails, and messages with the call center in Columbia to get either Yolanda or Annette to call me back. NOTHING!! I was even on the phone with another office manager, Alex, who was very very nice while He put me on hold and called the Cheyenne office and spoke to Annette. She told him to tell me that she would call me back. She never did!! After leaving more messages, more emails, I finally get a call from Annette who tells me she didn't know I was trying to reach her that she thought Yolanda was handling it. Comical, and pathetic. I was treated rudely when temporary crowns fell of numerous times I was treated as if it was my fault somehow. but worst of this pms e is the billing they have a 100percent up front pay policy they contact your insurance company find out how much is out of pocket then you pay out of pocket costs before the procedure takes place. with me I paid over a grand up front then was billed another 268 dollars that they claim I owe them even though they are 100 percent up front pay. so either they lied to me about the price or there billing did not check my insurance properly so there billing and the price they give you for services isn't necesarily what the cost is. I should have done more research before selecting this provider because had I seen that many bad reviews, I never would have picked this provider to spent $$ for my dad's care and dentures. The returned visit remained horrible with the long wait and uncaring dentist. The Oral surgeon was much more caring and professional, so that was a saving grace for this awful place. DON'T come here if you want better treatments! ORIGINAL REVIEW: My dad came here because it is in his insurance network. The dentist, James Huynh, didn't bother to greet and talk to us properly. Didn't explain the procedures or ask if we had any questions, yet he goes out in the hallways and joked around with the staff. So uncaring and unprofessional. The wait is about 1.5 - 2 hrs long at the front and there were only 3 chairs while about 15 people in the room, standing around, so this office is not covid compliance with social distancing. One guy took off after waiting too long and demanded his money back. BEWARE!!!! Dentist told me they'd be able to remove my wisdom teeth in office while awake under local anesthesia. After waiting an hour and a half in the chair, already numb, I overhear the dentist ask one of the assistants how to use a tool. NOT reassuring. After digging at one of my wisdom teeth over and over again, and DRILLING A HOLE INTO IT, she decided she could not pull the tooth. They told me the oral surgeon will not be able to see my for a whole month because, and I quote, "there's a lot of people in pain just like you who have to wait to get in". I am left with a hole in my tooth AND the gum surrounding. The nerve or the root is exposed. I can no longer chew food on this side, I can no longer drink cold water or hot liquids. I have to take ibuprofen every night to help with the pain. I have my wedding in 3 weeks and I'm left with having to figure out how to get my tooth pulled PROPERLY beforehand. I am ASTONISHED at the lack of education/skill AND the insensitivity of them to the situation THEY caused. My wisdom teeth were barely bothering me, I would have rather kept them in at this point. Not to mention, they billed my insurance for the X-rays they took in office and REFUSED to send them to me to be seen at a different office. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is that they are great on the kids' side. My daughter has never had an issue, and the staff is kind, and the processes are great. As far as the appointment I had for myself, it was mediocre at best. They were 45 minutes late getting me in the chair, xrays that would usually take 10 minutes, took 25 minutes, and they do indeed sell you on things you DO NOT NOT NEED. After the xrays were done and the dentist came in to look at my teeth, they said I needed a root canal, 7 cavities filled, and more!!! They never showed me my xrays and do to the way the charge insurance, I went for a second opinion. I do NOT have 7 cavities, and I do not need a root canal. I wish I could give 0 stars!! For the last 2 years I've been told I have no cavities and good teeth blah blah.... I've been feeling a lot of sensitivity so I went to get another opinion and I have THREE CAVITIES! 2 were so deep that I may need root canals which is thousands of dollars not to mention a procedure I want to avoid altogether. Had I known cavities were forming I could have made sure to floss better or gotten them filled before they got so deep. I have a hard time believe cavities can form and get THIS bad in less than one year (since my last visit). I had the greatest's dental experience here today. Due to the virus forcing routine procedures to be closed down for the last few months, I was a few months behind schedule in my semi-annual visits. As a result, I was of course terrified to come in, but I'm glad I did. 1st off, the facility was clean as always. My temp was taken immediately as I entered. Even given the world circumstances, the staff Stephanie the receptionist and Elba the manager were both upbeat and friendly, which immediately relaxed me. They explained all that would take place and are true professionals! Everything was set up for proper social distancing and all staff wore masks. Terri the hygienist did an outstanding job cleaning my teeth and since she couldn't use the cavatron machine, she did my cleaning the old fashioned way. She was so good that I felt absolutely no pain. Ashley the dental assistant expertly took my x-rays. Dr. Huyhn discovered one of my old silver fillings was leaking, so they got to work to fill in the one cavity. I was in and out in a timely manner. Everything was perfect! read more

Help! I'm Trapped in This Crappy Dental Practice by My Insurance! My Medicare Advantage Plan only allows me to select a dentist from their directory, and Absolute Dental is the only one I could find listed. (I might as well have gone to a dentist who is out of network, because my experience with this practice so far has been the pits and not especially discounted!) On Thursday I had my first appointment, got full mouth x-rays and a consultation, then proceeded to have Dr. S drill out an old filling, medicate the root, and install a temporary crown. Today is Saturday, and I've been in pain since the novocaine wore off! Of course, there is usually pain with some dental procedures...the problem is, what to do about it. And Absolute Dental just doesn't seem to care. I revisited the office on Friday, had Dr. S check the tooth, and say, "Well, we had to go through the muscle to inject the novocaine in that site, so it can be a little uncomfortable for a while." I was reassured that the pain would dissipate soon. But when I was still in pain and unable to eat today, Saturday, I visited the office as a drop-in, and was told they only do orthodontics on Saturdays, and that they couldn't even find my file, because their orthodontic system is not integrated with the general dentistry system. I would need to see a general dentist, and there was none on call. That's right. See what you need? Yeah, you can't have it. The receptionist smiled and was polite, AND about as useless as t*ts on a bull. Phone calls and text messages ended up finally with me speaking to a supercilious phone admin who told me that I'd "just have to wait until Monday" to see a general dentist. Have you ever had a toothache on a weekend? If so, waiting is the one thing you are absolutely unable to do, and to have frustration piled upon bad customer service AND pain is intolerable.
