Embarrassing way to conduct business: I was told on my visit 7/2020 that if I purchased a deep cleaning for $150 (plus about 200$ worth of crap they told me was required post-cleaning) that my next cleaning would be free. So upon my next cleaning visit in 10/2020 I was all but out of the chair (receiving the polish) when the Dental assistant Jean told me that they had forgotten to get my bill signed and it would be 101$. After arguing and telling them everything they told me that they don't know who said that but it isn't true... BUT YET THEY DIDNT INFORM ME UNTIL AFTER THE PROCEDURE WAS COMPLETE! I don't know if they train dentists differently than when I was a kid, but wow Dr Kim and the whole staff here are amazing. They're really friendly and courteous and so nice to my daughter, she's nervous about coming but not scared. Big win. Absolute Dental Durango Kids is a new pediatric office & is the place to go for anything dental related for your child. They always provide my child with gentle, proficient service. The front & back office staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and are so great with children! Dr. Kim does an awesome job making sure the children feel comfortable, and is very thorough in his explanation whenever it comes to treatment plans to make sure you understand everything your child needs. I regularly visit a business in the shopping center. Each time I've been in the parking lot, I've noticed it is always filthy! There are dead leaves and debris piled well above the ankle, almost to my knees. When I complained at the business I was visiting, I was advised the Dentist owns the shopping center, and refuses to trim trees, pull weeds, or clean up debris. I would never go to this dental office... If he doesn't take pride in his property and clean the exterior, I could only imagine his practice is unsterile. This place is a despicable excuse for a dental office. They didn't have time for a teeth cleaning, but had time to tell me I had 5 cavities, severe periodontitis, needed a deep clean, and will have to visit every 3 months for the rest of my life. My estimate was over $2500, $700 of which was going to be out of pocket. They offered to get started that day, if I paid over $500. I decided to get a second opinion and so thankful I did. As it turns out- I only had one minor cavity, no gum problems and a basic cleaning was all I needed. This place is a scam, with no care or concern to patient health, just cash flow. They use the scare tactic to send you into a panic and fork over the cash. Please, save yourself the terror and go to a dentist that is in it for the wellness of their patients, not the dollars made. read more

I am surprised how this office is still open! So unprofessional, very dirty and all the files of patients not even locked and not kept privately. They definitely violate patients privacy and HIPAA. I went for cleaning and the front desk girl polished my teeth first and then the doctor did cleaning. My first concern is why the polishing is done before cleaning the teeth and the second one is that front desk girl was polishing my teeth and she is not even a hygienist. Wow!!! The office is dirty, the goggles they gave me to wear were super dirty with grease on it and when I asked for tissue to wipe them they told me they were dirty from sanitation. Lol!!! There was not even one bottle of hand sanitizer in the room I was in. I wanted to sanitize my hands after they gave me dirty goggles and there was no bottle in the room and we are during Covid-19 when everything should be extremely clean. Also the first time I was there for exam, I was left in the chair for 45 minutes before the doctor came and he said he didn't even know I was his patient waiting for him. No wonder why they have so many poor reviews on Yelp!!! read more

Later when I had some sensitivity in the tooth she got me right into see the dentist and even assisted herself to make sure that I was taken care of. I would recommend Coast Dental to everyone. they literally just try to make money of off you. I have a crown done that insurance supposedly has paid for, and they still tried to charge me the full amount of 800$. so I paid 500$ because my tooth was hurting so bad I needed it fixed. and they said they won't put the crown in until I finish paying the rest off. so I never came back. I still had to get the tooth done so I went to another dentist who was only charging me 250$ with insurance. unfortunately, my insurance wouldn't help with that second dentist cause they already paid this one. so I had to come back to this one to finish treatment. then they charged me another 250$ for "lab work" so I didn't complain and I paid it. thats already 750$ out of my pocket. plus now, the doctor put TEMPORARY GLUE on my REAL CROWN and it fell off and I lost it. now they're charging me another 100$ for "lab fee" for a new one. so in total I LITERALLY am paying the entire tooth 850$. either way, they try to find excuses to charge you for some ridiculous reasons that they're at fault at. I really frikkin wish I can just go to my regular dentist and get this done. I wanna just pull out all my records from this piece of crap place and start over. plus I come in literally EVERY OTHER WEEK and the dental assistant NEVER REMEMBERS ME. she was like "the tooth on bottom right?" NO ITS ACTUALLY UPPER LEFT MISS. DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING? then she tried saying "that was the temporary you lost" NO MAAM ITS THE REAL CROWN THAT THE DOCTOR USED TEMPORARY GLUE ON. I can't say enough about Dr Kinfu. He's such a gentle dentist that makes me e feel comfortable when my fear is at its most heightened state since I dread going to the dentist like so many other people. My kids and grandkids also use Coast Dental and that's HHS's I found them. Many of the bests vreferrals come from "word of mouth" and that's how I found Dr. Kinfu and his wonderful, gentle, compassionate staff! read more

So my wife came here with our two daughters to get a cleaning. When she left they set an appointment for my oldest daughter to get her cavity fillings. We didn't think anything of it since it was for fillings. When we got the bill, nothing was covered by the insurance company because the fillings that were replace were the same filling that were filled less than 2 years ago. My daughter didn't have any pain nor show any signs of cavities. When we asked the dentist afterward, the comment we got was that they saw the filling wasn't done right through xray. Granted I didn't go through 4 years of dental school, but my wife and I are college educated and have over 20 years total in business savvy experiance and when something feels like a scam, smells like a scam, well you can make you own judgement. All in all we paid the bill and learned a very valuable lesson. Always ask what they are planning to do and get a copy of the work and check with our insurance company to see if it will be covered. If I could give this place negative stars, I would!! My boyfriend and I were both patients here. I left in the middle of my first appointment and never returned. They quoted me a price that was $89. Well come to find out it was $89 per quadrant of my mouth! I was furious and left. My boyfriend needed a crown. He's gone back 3 times because they keep losing the molds and once they ordered the wrong thing. He had to go back for a FOURTH TIME for the same issue. So he has to take off more days from work because they can't get anything right. They've gone through 3 dentists in the last 6 months and can't keep one! It's not like any of them have even been decent! Not to mention when I called to complain, I asked for their corporate number and the Dentistry Board number so I can complain and they hung up on me and said to look it up myself. When I ask how long an appointment will take they say "no more than an hour, you'll be out of here way before an hour". And each time it take 3+ hours. read more

I had to go through insurance billing issues and unnecessary treatments related to this dental office... For one, they made a mistake on THEIR END by billing under my mom's insurance, instead of mine as her dependent. My insurance sent me overcharged amounts on their statements, yet I never receive any billing statements from the dental place itself. My parents and I had to constantly contact our insurance, and even the insurance said themselves that it is Coast Dental's fault for processing my insurance info inaccurately. So now, my mom's records show that she has double x-rays, deep cleanings, & fillings with overcharged amounts while my record is empty. Second, they keep insisting that I have issues with my teeth. Listen, I just relocated to Las Vegas and simply need a place for a REGULAR CLEANING. My previous dental office that I've gone to for over a decade mentioned that I had no serious issues with my teeth, which I believe because I don't feel any issues with my teeth and if I did, they would let me know. This place kept insisting that I have gum problems and that I may require to have deep cleanings and other cleanings every 3-4 months - something that I've never heard of and strongly don't believe I need. After calling them, I wasn't allowed to schedule a regular 6-month cleaning, unless I go through an "evaluation," something I have to pay out of pocket. I canceled everything and plan on moving to a different dental office. I highly DON'T RECOMMEND for their inconsistency and fraud-like actions. If this happens to anyone, I encourage taking legal action. read more

My husband and I avoided the dentist at all costs before we found Coast Dental. We not only trust them with our oral health, but they offer fantastic pediatric services for our 3 sons. We've had everything from cleanings to extractions, to wisdom teeth removal, gum infections, and our oldest has had his braces for over a year now. The office staff are friendly and understanding when we have to reschedule. They offer great oral health advice, and make sure you're comfortable during all procedures. They also offer a small retail area for any specialty products you can't find at the grocery or pharmacy. We can't recommend this place more. read more

This is a great dental office for my 2 girls, 9 and 11. Dr. Wu was very kind and communicated well with both my daughters. She let us know that my kids were missing some areas when they brushed their teeth. So I went home and watched teeth brushing videos with them and worked with them to see how they can improve their brushing game. I will say that the male dentist I worked with last year was amazing, but from their site I'm guessing he left the practice, as his bio is no longer visible. I was given a proposal to get more work done that I actually needed last year. I was given a bottom-line out-of-pocket total. So I agreed to the work, had it done and then got a bill for $200, which I believed was in error, as they had billed me in error for something else the year prior. So I called - 4 times - and every time was told it was likely just a billing error and someone would get back to me, which they never did. Then I received a letter from a collections agency. Unbelievable. They failed on so many different fronts. I was told I needed to pay the bill or it would, indeed, impact my credit. I was speechless. So disappointed. I visited here for a few years. Until this past year when I was told that I had a balance of almost $400 from cleanings dating back almost 2 years. It seems that they were unable to bill my insurance for my General Cleanings and they were telling me about it years later. 1. since I have only ever gotten a general cleaning it should have been covered. 2. Maybe if they would have let me know 2 years ago that it was declined by my insurance at the time I would have been able to sort it out. When I called they said they would look into it again. But instead it has been sent to collections and has negatively affected my credit. My husband and I will definitely be going to a different dental office. read more

Coast dental made a bridge and told me insurance would cover it. Insurance did not cover it and it turns out coast did not do a preauthorization for the work. When I asked why, they informed me they don't have to. This is referring to the office on west flamingo. The main issue is wirh the office manager who really has no concept of customer service. So now I have to pay 1200, which I don't have. If I had known ins would not cover I would have taken other options. This was a way for Coast to make extra money and I strongly recommend not going to coast dental. read more

I went for cleaning and they told me I NEEDED a cranial x-ray. turns out it was a lie and they charged my issuance so many times for it that my issuance denied paying for all of the x-rays they did on me in the one day. then on top of that they charged my issuance so many times for a cleaning that my insurance denied the multiples and i had to pay for all of it out of pocket. so what is usually a free dental routine cost me around $350 OUT OF POCKET ..AND they ran my dental insurance up to $350 ! , that's $700 for an x-ray and dental cleaning. after i saw that I ran and requested my x-rays from them to my new dentist and they refused to send them , i had to physically go to their office and sign as form that made them release them to me , my new dentist notified me they were such poor quality they had to redo the x-rays .. but for free of course because no one else in the city will charge you. bottom line NEVER GO HERE. read more

Dr Ellsworth is a great physician. He is reassuring, extremely gentle and great with kids. I had an old crown removed and had to have years and years of decay removed before a new crown could be implanted. The treatment was painless from start to finish. The scraping and grilling was so carefully done that it felt like a gum massage! No pain. No jerking. No tugging. I would recommend Dr Ellsworth and his staff to anyone. read more

I visited Coast Dental (Spring Valley location) about 3 months ago for a cleaning and was referred by a friend. I saw Dr. Jessica Wu and absolutely loved her and her staff. The staff and Dr. Wu were incredibly friendly and up-beat. Dr. Wu would thoroughly explain what she was looking for (for example on the x-rays) and what she was doing during my cleaning. Dr. Wu is approachable and willing to answer any questions I had. She also offered information about invisalign and/or braces but wasn't overbearing with the information. I am a 40 year resident of Las Vegas and going to this office was the biggest mistake I've ever made regarding a dentist. Worst experience I've EVER had. They made an appointment for me for a cleaning, x-rays and check-up on a day the girl not working only to high pressure me into a multitude of other work. I went to Flamingo office for Denture Care , front desk was very pleasant Grace one of the managers was extremely helpful in more ways she went out of her way to help me with my care. It took 6 months to get Dentures made twice an still don't fit . I called office to get a refund so I can go elsewhere , ask to speak to Christine the manager she avoided my calls she put me off to others to handle my request which was unexceptable patient care . No follow up calls on her behalf I have to keep calling as of today December 2. Again Christine put me off to someone else you is new , but I preceded to talk with Daniel whom was very pleasant, try to accommodate my needs. They said they need to send paperwork to corporate for refund, which I don't think it has been done yet. I'm so dissatisfied with this office I will not go back for my care. As of today I don't have proper dentures . If you need dentures don't go there. It doesn't take this long to get refund for my care. read more
