I brought my 2011 Toyota Camry to Toy Tech after my check engine light came on due to an O2 sensor…read morecode. I paid $158 for a diagnostic and was told the downstream O2 sensor was faulty. Although I was informed that the upstream sensor was not currently failing, I was encouraged to replace both at the same time. I chose to replace only the downstream sensor since that was identified as the source of the issue. Approximately six days after the repair, the check engine light returned. When I contacted the shop, I was advised that the upstream O2 sensor would now need to be replaced at an additional cost of $404. When I asked whether there could be another underlying cause, I did not feel my questions were thoroughly addressed. I decided to seek a second opinion from another repair facility. They diagnosed the problem as an exhaust leak. After repairing the exhaust leak for $160, the check engine light has remained off and the issue has been resolved. I understand that automotive diagnostics can sometimes require further evaluation; however, I am disappointed that the original diagnostic did not identify the exhaust leak and that additional part replacements were recommended before the root cause was determined. Based on my experience with Toytech, I would advise others to consider obtaining a second opinion before authorizing further repairs.

GFS primarily deals in used fleet vehicles like police cars, so there're some really neat finds here. The new car goes great with my large german shepherd. The inventory is online at their website, so you can get a decent idea of what they have available at any given time before you go down there to shop. It's not always 100% up to date, so you may want to call before you head over if you don't live near their East Bottoms location, but Joel seems to always pick up the phone and is very responsive, and it is mostly up to date. Even though my credit isn't perfect - nothing really bad on there, I've just spent most of my life paying cash, so I've only got less than a year of positive marks - Joel shopped my loan around with a bunch of lenders and got me a great rate on the note for a car I bought from him from a credit union in KS. I'd highly recommend checking out what he has if you need a good cheap deal on a vehicle and especially if you dig the cop car thing.

We walked in Saturday morning, confident, knowing already approximately what we were spending. There were no surprises. Lane Thornhill made the extra effort to look for the MVP premier account we are associated with due to whom we lease with, which dropped our parts price almost another $50 dollars. Lane and Mark were kind, efficient and our knowledgeable tech handled our windshield quickly and safely. All said and done the service was completed long before our next pick up in Independence, MO so we had plenty of time for breakfast and to arrive on time. We were EXTREMELY impressed with their professionalism from the lovely young man from England in parts Friday night, to Dustin in service Friday night to Lane Thornhill, Mark, and our windshield tech on Saturday.
