Food is so yummy but a bit pricey. The rice bowls are very filling. The fries are also very good and compliments the shawarmas well. Staff is nice and makes orders fast. The place is well maintained and quiet.

One of the workers had sincerely issued me a very authentic apology on behalf of my last visit and said they thouroughly read my review and would never want any of their customers to feel this way. It made me feel better that they heard me out and we settled it there out of respect. Happy to say Abu Omar took care of me today at the OC MENA festival. This place has really good shawarma, the line is long for a reason, longest line at the festival is at Abu Omar's, and it's not chance, it's fate. It's important to show support to our Arab businesses and community as it's more than abu Omar , it's a team of hard working men putting in 110% effort to make the best shawarma for their customers. They tolerate the heat and the smoke from the flames to give us the best tasting meat and that should be acknowledged and I respect that very much. The beef shawarma tasted really good really fresh and the taste is unreplicable they put their pride on the line to give their customers the most flavorful succulent tasting shawarma, the tahini and spicy dips were my favorite condiments! Safe to say I will be visiting their restaurant in the near future, Also fyi I broke my diet because I could not resist their shawarma, very temptating you cannot walk past Abu Omar's without wanting to stop for a bite, the energy and atmosphere of the people and the food say it all, the people come for Abu Omar! Thank you guys for making it a really wonderful treat for everyone, I was able to eat my shawarma combo box while watching Mohammed Assaf sing his iconic Palestine song, thank you Abu Omar for contributing and making it a really good moment to be an Arab in Southern California !

I have been wanting to come here for some time now. First I'd say that I like the decor of this place. The staff were very friendly, and I showed a pic of what I wanted and he knew right away what it was. It was a bowl with the ground beef on top of rice along with a salad. It was very good plate that was tasty and filling! I wanna go back and try the other goodies. I recommend it! Take care and see you there!

I ordered from Abu Omar Halal through a food app. I got the chicken shawarma and added beef and cheese into it. It had a lot of flavor and the cheese definitely added to it. The shrak bread kept everything together well, since it wasn't falling apart with each bite. This was a 4/5 and consider it a solid option. They provided two sauces that tasted great with the shawarma. This is located in a plaza with lots of parking spots. But be prepared as it did get busy at around 6:00 pm. Picking up the order was very straightforward and quick. The store wasn't busy at that time.

I ordered the double chicken shawarma, and the portion size was very generous and absolutely worth it. The flavor is truly authentic -- it brought me back to the original shawarma taste and style we grew up with in Jordan. Perfect seasoning, fresh ingredients, and real Middle Eastern shawarma done right. The staff is very kind and welcoming, and the owner is always present, paying close attention to quality and making sure every order has the best possible flavor. A great experience overall, highly recommended!

It showed how much the plate full of rice and veggies. The meat was very little as if we asked for a kids meal, not for adults.

We bought the plate that was supposed to be filled with chicken kabob and another that was supposed to be filled with beef kabob , once we got our meal we started eating but realized that the meal had 70% rice, 20% veggies and 10% meat/chicken. We weren't able to enjoy our meal as much, its like instead of ordering the beef kabob and the chicken kabob plate we bought the rice with veggies plate and a side of chicken and beef kabob.

I had Abu Omar Halal bookmarked for a while. It is located at Lone Hill Shopping center. There are ample parking spots at this center. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. It has inviting vibes. They have varieties of Shawarma wraps and sandwiches, over rice bowls, over salad bowls with the choice of protein, family meals value, kabob wraps and meat bowls, kids meals, in addition to many delicious sides. I ordered beef kofta kabob plates to go. The plate included large grilled kofta kabob, generous amount of delicious and fragrant yellow rice, lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions, yellow corn, jalapeños, chickpeas, and black olives and garnished with rich garlic sauce on the top. The kofta kabob was very juicy and flavorful. The salad was fresh. The plate was humongous, savory and really delicious. The service was fast. It is a nice place to try. I will definitely go back to try their Shawarma wraps and more.

Abu Omar came to the rescue when we got really hungry during a bike ride. Ordered the Ariba which was a crispy wrap of chicken shwarma with a side of fries for $16.99. The crispy wrap was very unique and the sauce and pickle vegetables in the wrap made it super tasty and unique. Also comes with garlic sauce as their motto is: our love language is garlic! It's now my love language too! We scarfed it down so forgot to take a picture of it! We ate outside and liked that we were still able to hear Arabic music playing on their system. Friendly service. If you order through their app, you get 15% off. Definitely worth trying them out!

These guys opened fast! Chicken place closed and this place popped up overnight. Food seems fresh, the decorations are nice. Well lit and clean. Hopefully the food is good and these guys can stay as this spot has been turning over. The beef shawarma wrap tasted very fresh. I believe they use lamb fat on top as it cooks, it has a slight gamey flavor. The wrap itself was very juicy. Well balanced and had a nice crisp. Look forward to trying more items. read more

It is a very limited menu but what we got was delicious. I got a lamb gyro (star for at least having some lamb on the menu). I don't think the wrap bread is fresh baked or authentic. I had the choice between a saj type bread which I got but it was so thin and not that good, or a tortilla. Huh? But everything inside the wrap was delicious. The lamb, pickles and sauce.... But for $13 the wrap was small. I would've needed two for a meal, but I just bought one. Seems like the fast food version of a shwarma restaurant. read more

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at Abu Omar was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. I ordered chicken wraps, but what I got was a confusing mix. Four of the wraps were filled with beef instead of chicken, and the remaining two were a mix of both beef and chicken. This was not at all what I had asked for. Then there was the beef and chicken plate. It turned out to be all beef and badly burnt. It was so overcooked that I couldn't even eat it. This was a huge letdown. But the worst part of my meal was the falafel wrap. I found a hair in it, which completely put me off. It's unacceptable and really ruined the whole experience for me. Overall, this was the worst dining experience I've ever had. The order was messed up, the food was poorly prepared, and it was just not a pleasant meal. I definitely won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to others. read more

Overall, A good Halal spot for a quick bite. Beef Sandwich was very good. It was a good size and did not skimp out on the beef shawarma! Ordered a side of hummus to go with the Sandwich. Hummus came in a take out plastic container and was about 8 oz of hummus. My one and only recommendation would be to order more pita. The hummus side only comes with 1 piece of pita. I don't normally care for leaving reviews online, but this one sandwich left such an impression that I had to say something. This place is a total gem! I ordered the Italian Shawarma sandwich with chicken, Oh boy!! the pictures online don't do justice to the flavor and I just experienced, absolute flavor explosion. The sandwich is served on large crisp sesame bread that's cut into 8 pizza slices, that does a perfect job of holding in all the juices and flavor without getting soggy. The combination of the savory chicken shawarma, the bites of melted crunchy cheese, pickled vegetables, and that garlic sauce on the side, Oh lord!! Every single bite was packed with juice. It's massive--definitely enough for two people. I live 13 minutes away and it still tasted delicious when I got home. If it's this good as takeout, I can only imagine how incredible it is fresh at the restaurant! The sesame bread adds a great texture and keeps the sandwich together.The establishment is modern and very clean, and the staff is very kind and personable. If I had one tiny critique, I'd personally love even more seasoning on the fries, but that's just my preference! My family and I will definitely be back to see what else on the menu is this good. It was difficult to have a conversation, so we asked to sit farther in the back. That helped a little, but the noise level still made it hard to enjoy dinner comfortably. Our server was also not good during this visit, which made the experience more frustrating. That has not always been our experience here, so I do not want to say this is the norm, but this visit definitely fell short. The food was great, but the loud music and poor service made the overall experience disappointing.

It was only a 2 minute walk from where we were so we decided to check it out. On the outside was a holiday themed drink menu and the Butter Me Up sounded like something we'd enjoy. It was a cookie butter latte which whipped cookie butter and a cookie crumble on top. It may sound very sweet but it was actually perfectly balanced and allowed the strength of the espresso to come through. The barista was very kind and patient with us. She also let us know that they were hosting a karaoke night later that day. We waited in the patio connected to the cafe for our drinks. It was a very lovely day so the sun and scenery was nice and peaceful. Definitely looking forward to another visit

My go-to item is their Greek Chicken Pita with Lemon Sauce in place of the tzatziki ($13). I would sometimes order this with a side of fries, but my husband got it in his combo. The reason I order this all the time is because the pita not only tastes amazing, it's also filling! There's grilled chicken, potatoes, pickled onions, greens, and lemon sauce. The pita is thick and has the perfect chew to it. There is so much flavor in every bite! The fries were delicious as well. They were soft on the inside and crisp and seasoned well on the outside. The restroom is old and dingy. Instead of flagging honest reviews, they should pay more attention to their restaurant quality and service.

Abu Omar Halal in Glendora came highly recommended by attendees of prior school district functions, and I'm so glad I chose them to cater a Staff Holiday Party for our elementary school. From the start, I was assisted by the store manager, Wissam, who was nothing short of amazing! I provided him with details about the event and my budget, and he worked his magic to create a menu with multiple party trays featuring a variety of protein options. The trays came out BEAUTIFUL--everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly arranged. Our teachers couldn't stop raving about the food and presentation!
