The service is awful but they have the best used tires in the area. I've bought two and they were like new for only $60 or $80 (depends on who helps you). My tires are normally $300 a piece, so I was happy with their product. I'm honestly not trying to make friends with these people, just give me a good tire for cheap. This place isn't THAT bad. Come on. It is a tire shop. Sure they don't take cards and don't speak the best English, but these guys get the job done. Especially when I can get a great used tire from these guys for $35. A new one was $80. Especially since Western Tire Burbank quoted me $120 for one stinking tire! The quality is great. They inspect them thoroughly (even caught a few leakers before i got bought them) and get the job done quick. Simple. Bring Cash. Everyone is a winner. Only thing I didn't like once was being told I needed an alignment when I didn't. And taking cards would have helped me a few times, other than that I return when I need them! read more

This is not a franchise tire shop. Don't expect a good looking girl in a showroom to greet you. This is a gritty corner tire shop, and most of the guys don't speak English. My experience was exactly what I needed. Showed up in the middle of the day with a large wood screw in my rear tire while they already had 3-4 other people to attend to. Within 15 minutes they had the wheel off, screw extracted, tire patched, back on the truck and I was down the road- they asked for $10 and I gave them $15. If you want the franchise dealer experience with a dealership price, Big-O tires is right around the corner. If you don't need that kind of crap, this is your place. read more

I just got one of the $35 tire deals myself, and the guys at Acapulco Tires earned their stars. No-nonsense and clearly low overhead, this shop is all about tires - nothing more, nothing less. I brought in a dried-out flat tire from my Beetle and they found me a good looking used one. The mounted the tire on the rim, tested it, and I was out the door in maybe 15 minutes. No, it's not your major chain-type tire place, no waiting room and no frills. But isn't a tire all you need? I bought 2 front tires for my car for $90.00 My tires are a little bigger than your standard tires. Victor Sr. was very nice and honest he told me not to continue driving my car with the tires on my car.Yeah you can get cheap tires for 25.00 dollars but they won't last I've been there done that! Firestone quoted me $175.00 for each tire which is crazy who can afford that in this economy.?The staff here is really nice, hey you gotta put out good energy in order to get it back. Worst tire shop ever don't trust don't bring your care they will damage your brand new tire. Very lazy employee who failed to check the tire hole just because the nail had fallen, he claimed there was nothing wrong with my tire, later I got flat tire in the middle. On the freeway and by the time I pulled aside my brand new tire was damaged because I drove on flat. One advice don't take your car there unprofessional lazy who could care less. My friend discovered that his tire was punctured as we were heading out on a Sunday morning and we were scrambling to find a tire shop we could go to. So many were closed but Acapulco Tire was open and recommended to us by a nearby mechanic. So we went and we were in and out of there in 10 minutes. Mind blowing. How did he do it so fast? Well, he said other places make it a big show and pretend it takes forever and a day so they can charge you and exorbitant amount for a simple procedure. The guy patched it up right in front of us without even having to lift the car up or anything. That's telling, right? He did it right where we could see it - no hiding anything. There were about three guys there and they were all super friendly. Absolutely recommend this place based on this experience! read more

Don't waste your time..better off getting new Korean brand tires that these guys sell aged tires for the same price that are bridled with age anyway. read more

I went here about 3 or 4 years ago, because great reviews on here... got 2 new front tires NO problem, nice guy. THEN I went back about a year ago, didn't check yelp first and they gave me a used tire I think it was $40 anyway quick enough, but then within days like 2 or 3 my tire was going flat, Now I will be fair I GUESS there is a possibility that I ran over a couple nails, but hmmm, so I go back and they say sorry have to buy another one...OR they can fill the holes for $20 dollars! HALF the cost of a new tire...anyway if it were my business, I would have just filled the holes at no charge since it was under a week...or something! really? I will NEVER EVER go back or recommend them. Besides it looks like a junk tire yard no maybe they are all mixed up and cant figure it out? 4/6/16 : I am adding on to that review, which I meant to do but never got around to. SO...I DID end up going back ONLY because I went to 3 other tire places and they did NOT have my tire. and these guys did. I needed 2 tires actually so they replaced the one that they sold me a NEW tire for a lower price normally like $70 or something I got 2 tires for $90 I believe...BUT no BS - I am not into ruining people's reputation, but I KID YOU NOT...first the front tire started going FLAT after 2 weeks - Guess what..that was the NEW one I apparently got a "better price" and then about 3 weeks later I so did the back one. I don't go dirt driving ..nor do I drive for a job...I drive to and from Glendale to Montrose and take classes in Hollywood...so yeah...for this to happen 3 times and the 3rd one of the tires be new...UM yeah this is obviously a racket. Tried to sell me a used tire for my Mercedes S500 for $100 dollars. I ended up getting a brand new one about 2 miles away for $125. Also had a tire patched. I asked the guy that hardly speaks and he sais it will be $10. I give him a $20 and he gives me $5 back. I told him he told me it was $10 and he sais it was $15.Yea ok..... The Staff there are unprofessional the way they speak to the customers are rude. They make you feel take it or leave it attitude instead of good accommodation. They will sell you different sizes of used tires that they can get rid of ASAP is more like their Motto. If you buy into what they convince you of then suddenly it's time to get an Alignment...you will be told by the other Service Shop...There is no way you can get aligned with different sizes of tires. Now your double screwed!!! Some of the past staff that quit because they claim Victor treats them like a low life Slave and pay low. Went there yesterday and the guy coated me $35 for a used tires and they wanted cash so I only HAD $33 cash with me, he did the job anyways but did not balance the tire. I used to be a customer here when I lived in Glendale. In the valley the same tire would go for just $20 at shop on corner of sherman way and Winnetka and the tire did not have that much thread as well. This used to be my go-to place for a quick tire change. Used and new tire prices were great until I went there today to replace 2 tires. After waiting a couple mins for someone to help us out, we explained our situation, and this guy just threw a number out there...They wanted to charge me $60/used tire. Never have I ever paid more than $35 for a used tire there or anywhere. And wouldn't even budge on the price when we mentioned how often we've gone there. I could understand if the tire was almost new but it wasn't and I felt insulted that they were trying to charge me that much after being such a faithful customer. Never, EVER, go to this lie to you face tire shop!! We called about a tire for replacement and they quoted us 40.00 solid. We get there, and we were quoted 35.00 by the mechanic who help us with the tire. As he was working on the tire, another mechanic came out and said that it was going to be 45.00! WTH is right!! I told him now I have 3 quotes and stop the work until I get a straight answer. The Manager comes out, tells me it's 45.00, I told him we called and received a quote of 40.00 and another of 35.00 here at the shop. One of the mechanics said I should have told him that i received a quote over the phone. I asked him does that really matter? Did they just come up with prices as they go along? If they do, it's fraudulent and I should be turning them in for doing so. The Manager tells me I can leave and go somewhere else?! I told him, no, they'll do the work right, I'll pay what I was quoted and I'll YELP them to warn others about the fraudulence they are trying to do! The work was done, I paid, and here I am telling you all do not go there! BTW, my boyfriend called and received the first quote. They only take cash, so he left to get some and that's when I received the second AND third quote. *be prepared to be hassled if your female*! Better still, don't go there at all!!! Went for the first time and I probably would never go back. The people have no customer service skills whatsoever! We got there and there were no cars there(should have been a sign). One of the guys came up to us and treated us like we were ruining his day for showing up and says" what do you need?" No hi, hello, how can I help you. Fine I can deal with it, I tell him what I need and he goes to get them. When I had called to inquire about pricing they told me a certain price. I asked if it included mounting and balance and they said yes. When I get there they tell me it's 10 extra per tire! WTH?! I told them that I had asked them when I called and they proceed to tell me they haven't received any calls in regards to the tire size I requested. Are you kidding me? They straight lied to my face!
