I literally just left Chopt after ordering a warm bowl with the cauliflower rice base to go. I typically have preferred going to Chopt in the city, as I've noticed the Roslyn Heights one often gives me less food when I order the exact same thing. But today was ridiculous. After getting the cauliflower rice base the employee started dousing my warm bowl in salad dressing. I quickly spoke up, since I had wanted my dressing on the side, and she took the bowl and moved it under the counter to try to selectively scoop only the parts of the cauliflower with the dressing into the garbage. I could hear my bowl literally hit the side of the garbage container. It grossed me out when she then tried to use the same bowl and just scoop in a bit more cauliflower rice to replace what she'd scooped out. I politely asked for a new bowl, and the idle male employee standing next to her started making facial expressions indicating that he thought I was being unreasonable. She ended up giving me a new bowl -- but then putting almost no cauliflower rice in it to "punish" me for not wanting a bowl that had touched the side of a garbage can. Keep in mind that my warm bowl with the cauliflower rice upcharge came to over $17. I will never frequent that particular Chopt again. read more

Went to try a Salad here and all I can say is it met xpectations and much more . Was greeted and staff were supper friendly . One of the staff members named shy went out of his way and explained to me the items on the menu as I had left my glasses and couldn't read/see well . I really enjoy salads and when my coworker wanted to go to Chopt for lunch, I quickly responded with a 'SURE'. As much as I go to the Willis Row for CVS or Starbucks, I've never stopped into Chopt. I was helped by Guy, who was very understanding when I told him I'd never been and wasn't too adventurous with my salad toppings. With his help I decided on a Cobb salad, sans the blu cheese, and heavy on the dressing. The romaine lettuce was very fresh, not too wet .. I don't like my greens slopping wet with water. All the ingredients were all very fresh but my only complaint was the avocado, which wasn't completely ripe. Will I return, most definitely. read more

Wow... Yet another 5 star review after one visit. I do this because after just one visit they blew away my expectations and gave me a five star experience. They just completed a major renovation to this strip mall and it is magnificent. It's an easy in and out from Willis Ave. and there is plenty of parking. This is a large shop and there is plenty of indoor dining as well as table and chairs outside. We were greeted with a warm hello from one of the team members as we entered the line and let a few people ahead of us as we made our decision. There is so much to choose from here I knew it was going to take a few minutes. One chopped with everything and one warm Asian Chicken salad. They were both terrific. It was fun watching the process of the assembling the salad. Everything was just so fresh and tasty. Food that was supposed to be crunchy was and other food was loaded it flavor. There is plenty here for everyone to find something they will enjoy and it is definitely a healthy alternative to so many of our fast food restaurants. Very reasonably priced, this shop is a great place for a lunch or dinner. I recommend this location for Chopt. Once upon a time, I ate salad for lunch from a place called Hale and Hearty. They allowed you to build your own salad by picking countless ingredients. Chopt has a similar concept, where you pick a salad and you get your choice of whatever you want to put inside. While the ingredients were very fresh, the number of options offered were less than what Hale and Hearty provided. Chopt does seem to go out of their way to remind you that they are "green" (pardon the pun) with signage showing you where the food is responsibly sourced. They also provide a water station with free cups. I imagine many customers only want water with their food. read more

Ok so personally I'm not a huge fan . I have tried this location several times . Something is always off with the beginning batch of lettuce or spinach or any type of green leaf vegetable I choose to start my salad base , the add on's are always fine never complain about those . However it does not fail every time I got a salad from here my stomach would hurt afterwards. Seating is ample and parking is good plenty of spots out side . So many people swear by this place including my husband and I'm sure it's just something with me that doesn't appreciate there salads but it's just not for me . The servers should learn the menu. No one could describe their "Chicken Tinga" to me. Also, they neglected to chop or toss my "Chop'd" salad! All the dressing and toppings were at the bottom. I absolutely LOVE this chopt. I go here on my work break and get a salad for myself and a bowl for my coworker at least 3 times a week. I'm hooked to say the least. Perfect food every time and special instructions for my orders are always done perfectly. I've even gotten many other coworkers hooked as well. Went to lunch at chopt today in Willis , got my salad and went to find a seat but all the seats were dirty. One table had hair and food on it. There were many workers there and not one thought to clean a table. That isn't even the part I was upset about. While I am eating my food the staff were messing around, throwing a towel at one another and doing inappropriate childish things with a broom. They also were making the food look so unappetizing and almost disgusting while making the to go orders. Not to mention how obnoxiously loud they were being shouting and laughing. I was considering taking a video of it but I decided against it. I really am not a typically bothered person but I am so completely done with this chopt and the staff who make the place a dump. Don't order from here. This is the 3rd time they have messed up my order and I'm over it. Today I made my own salad and asked for heavy dressing. Not only did I not receive heavy dressing, they sent the WRONG ONE. I asked for Mexican Goddess and they sent Mexican Ceasar. Chopt is such a great addition to the North Hempstead area. Came here with my girlfriend for lunch and it was pretty busy! They have plenty of indoor dining as well as outdoor seating. I got the Chinese chicken salad which was so delicious. Pretty large portion for the $11 price point. My girlfriend bought the Orchard Salad and it's such a healthy yet filling meal. Truly a poorly run operation. I have been going there since they opened. Probably at least 8-10 different times. At first you try to overlook simple issues, as they were still new and deserve another chance. Just left there and got home ready to my dinner. Bought 2 salads at a cost of aprox $31.00 Got 2 very thin slices of stale bread to compliment the meals. If you request an extra slice of bread that couldn't cost more than 5 cents they tell you they're not allowed to provide it. I'm assuming they can at an extra cost. But if you don't want let's say croutons on your ceasar salad you don't get credited for that and I wouldn't ask such a silly request. Point is there's no common sense the way they operate. The manager, when I called was of no help and was sorry to hear that. I've tried to hold back on writing a negative review , but tonight was the straw that broke the camels back. This is first negative review I've ever written for any other business but this is necessary because hopefully they will try to be more intelligent and understanding on how to do business. Maybe they think they're the only business in the area that sells salads. Kitchen Kabaret which is near by sells very good salads that are made to order You have a choice of a fresh roll , which they have a few types to choose from or crackers or slices of fresh rye bread. Never an extra charge or stale. They'll even give you butter if you request it with no problem or extra charge. This is 100% not an endorsement for any business. Finally had a chance to try this place. Came in for lunch after seeing their website. First - brand new place so the place was immaculate. The staff all seemed very happy and friendly. The sheer number of options can be intimidating at first. We ordered the classic Cobb salad and the warm chicken tinga bowl. I got the bowl with cauliflower rice for a little extra. This was my first time trying it instead of real rice. I will tell you that it's different but kind of not really noticeable ultimately. Great way to reduce your carbs. Both came with a piece of crust but chewy bread (not a good way to reduce your carbs). Anyway the salads were really good and fresh tasting. Chopt has quality ingredients. The self-serve water station is solid. But there aren't any labels for the bins of "choppings" Some things I recognized, some I didn't, so I had to ask "What's that?" and point a bunch of times. There's also no list of choppings on their menu. The person who prepared my salad was nice, but must have been a new hire. A number of times when I asked what something was, she didn't know. What I thought was red pepper turned out to be some kind of hot, spicy pepper. I'm not too picky, but I wouldn't have asked for that had I known what it was. I didn't like the surprise $2+ charge for avocado. If not all choppings are equal, make that clear. read more

Came here for a quick break and ordered a create your own salad. The salad that I received was pathetic!!!! I didn't realize that my bowl was half empty until i got back to work, since i was in a rush. Not only that, I told the cashier that i want my salad finely chopt and she puts the dressing on it first, and then dumps the salad on the cutting board with the dressing and chops it, she then scrapes the dressing into my salad from the cutting board which disgusted me to the point where i didn't even want the salad anymore. Usually i say something, but i think i was just in disbelief and in a rush that i didn't feel like arguing with anyone, because the girl making my salad already looked like she had an attitude. This is my second experience at this location and it was bad both times. For almost $20, i shouldn't be receiving half a salad. Nobody should be served like this. Driving into the parking lot at Willis Row with all the traffic can be quite the madhouse. Few things will make me enter. Now I have a reason - CHOPT. More specifically I believe her name is AVA @ CHOPT. It's obvious in everything she says and does that she loves her job. It's wonderful to see a young person work hard and speak highly of the people they work with and enjoy the work they do. CHOPT has a rare gem. I tried the crispy chicken ranch salad for the first time and was impressed! The price is a little high for a salad and bottled water (16$) but the portion is fairly large and came with bread. Stopped by to get my usual lunch time salad. I frequent a number of salad places. This Chopt is my favorite! The staff is always super friendly. Sometimes I do the pickup orders as well. Since the staff is so nice, I like talking to them as I pick out what I'm eating that day. It's been harder to get to know people behind masks in the pandemic, but I also appreciate how serious the staff is about health. The store is always really clean, and the renovation is great. Great addition to this small center. Love the outdoor seating although empty tables are often dirty. Salads are great if online orders were done correctly. I really like the brand and concept of this place. Warm or cold bowls/ salads made to order. The ingredients taste pretty good, seems pretty fresh, and you can customize anything. One down side of the food is being out of soup like all the time. Not kidding, all the time. I've only been able to order once. Favorite part part for me is the Tesla Supercharger. Oober Convenient! Now the reason for the 2 's: The employees! They have zero interest in the customer. They are far more interested in talking amongst themselves, looking at their phones or prepping pickup order. It's probably the worst service around the area. The managers are even lackluster in their approach to leadership by barking their orders from behind the counter prep area.
