The sensor wasn't working and I had to wait for someone to come out to go in, but that really isn't the issue. Just trying to be helpful and mention it to the staff, I told one of the employees that the door may be broken. He was nice and went and told the guy with the New York accent. I don't know if that's the manager or what he is. As I was making copies, I overheard him say "yeah, well, I don't know what to tell you. It's been working all day" in a very cocky and condescending way.... loud enough to where the whole store could hear it. I politely went up to the desk to let them know that I could hear him, and instead of acknowledging his behavior, he goes over and looks at the door. I explained to him that it wasn't really the door, it was the fact that I don't appreciate his comment. He then very insincerely apologized and mumbled something under his breath that sounded kind of like "fuck off" as he walked back in the establishment. Never once raised my voice or Karened out, and that was the response I got. I don't know how Fedex puts up with his behavior, but I sincerely hope that upper management sees this review.

Angie excused herself and hurried outside to catch her before she left the parking lot. I'll only shop here in the future if I don't have time to order online. That said, the young woman who answered my questions on the phone afterward was polite and cheerful. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman that helped me but he understood why I wanted to file the documents myself (old tax stuff and what have you) but kindly offered to help me given the amount I had so he pulled the shred bin all the way to the front so he could still help me. The employee (who I later found out was the owner) told me I needed a larger box and additional bubble wrap but never discussed the cost before repacking my package. I figured if it was too much I could go home and get another box and come back. When I got to checkout, my total was around $75. I expected the shipping to California to cost more, but I was shocked by the price of the packing materials, especially since none of those charges had been disclosed beforehand. When I mentioned that another UPS Store had only charged me $2 for bubble wrap, the owner responded that the other store "must not be doing well." At that point, I decided to cancel the shipment and take my package elsewhere. I understood paying for the bubble wrap that had already been cut, but then I was charged a $15 service fee that had never been mentioned and was not on my original transaction. I was told that fee would only be removed if I shipped through their store. I felt like I was backed into a corner because I had already incurred enough charges that going elsewhere no longer made financial sense. I felt pressured into completing a transaction after undisclosed charges had already been added. Unfortunately, the person handling the situation was the owner, so there was no one else to speak with. This experience left me feeling misled and disappointed. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this location to anyone who values honesty, transparency, and good customer service.
