Got in to Bakersfield late Friday night from LA. My daughter starts complaining of an ear infection. At 7:00 am she can't wait so we decide to come to Accelerated. Normally we would go to Pedicenter, but we can't wait until 9:00 am when they open. What a massive mistake. We check in 2nd in line. The frontdesk person said we would be seen quickly...there is one person ahead of us. 1.5 hours later, we find out they are having computer issues- only on the computer used to check us in. So EVERYONE checked in one the other desk has been seen and are long gone. We, however, are not even on the list. Finally, after I've cried, yelled, and basically made a fuss, they put us in a room like they are doing us a favor. My daughter, who has spent the past hour shaking in my arms, is beyond exhaustion. Besides the complete absence of common sense (I mean, come on...log in our form on the computer next to you while you fix your computer issue), I will NEVER support a business that treats sick kids the way we were treated. My advice...go to Pedicenter or anywhere else. The doctor who saw us was great, but the 2 hours spent with extreme frustration...not worth it. No parent who has a sick kid needs any extra stress. read more

Was told COVID test takes 3-5 days to get results back but they've been coming in at 2 day turnaround so I went in and took test. Family flying in for holiday weekend. 5 days later no results and now I'm told up to 8 day turn around. If you have alot of time these guys are for you. If you want results go to Clinica Sierra. It was brought to my attention that you guys have been overcharging me for my copay. Urgent care visits on my insurance are $15. Period. Not a $20 specialist copay that you've been billing my insurance for TeleMedicine. Confirmed with my insurance that it should be $15 no matter what. This all came to light after I was told I have a $5 balance due on my account for paying the $15 copay that I was charged, which was then billed to my insurance as a $20 specialist copay. I checked my bank account this morning and that $5 was taken from my account without my permission. I will be reporting this to my bank as fraudulent activity. I do not owe YOU money, you owe ME money for overcharging me. You owe me MY money back. This also pairs with the abysmal customer service from the girls at the front counter at the K St. location. Your customer service has been terrible for a long time and the issues I've had with your business (Not practice, business. As you guys care more about the money than you do the patients.) has been ongoing. I've only been going to AUC out of convenience. I will never go to AUC again after this. If I could give you zero stars I would. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

I took my daughter to see a physician at accelerated urgent care on olive and Calloway Dr in march of 2022. I have insurance and by the end of the month they charged my credit card 450$, they will not see you without a card on file to conveniently charge the card if the insurance denies the claim for whatever reason. The billing Dept make no effort to correct their errors on the billing end and took it upon themselves to charge my card anyway, after 4 months of getting them to do their due diligence to bill this correctly and speaking with the insurance provider they got paid and it showed a credit on my account but made no effort to credit my card even though they got finally got paid by the insurance company. I HAD to call and request a refund from the third party biller to finally have my card credited for the 450$ that they charged 4 months earlier. This company is horrible and they don't care about anything as long as they get their money. Be careful with these folks as they default to you billing card in no time what so ever and then take their sweet time getting the billing corrected, and then you have to stay on top of your refund or you'll never see it again. I will NEVER go to this place again. Accelerated urgent care is a horrible organization and even attempts to speak with the administrator was a waste of time, we played phone tag and she was conveniently never available when I called her. read more

I made an appointment today to see a physician because I had a flare up with my eczema. I have suffered with eczema for over 20 years and work very hard to keep it manageable without seeking medical treatment or prescriptions. Every few years I have a flare up that gets out of control. Today I decided to seek treatment because it was so bad. I normally receive a steroid shot and prescription for an ointment which helps relieve the pain and because the eczema is located on my hands, I really struggle with any normal tasks. Today after waiting an hour and explaining the issue I was told I don't need a prescription and I just need to use over the counter meds. I have been to this same location once or twice before and received the shot and ointment prescription so I was very disappointed that he minimized the severity of my condition. Everything he recommended I do, I have done and or tried for over 20 years, but I know when something works and when I need professional help. Today I have never felt so dissatisfied and dismissed and will never return or recommend Accelerated Urgent Care again. Thank you for less than 3 minutes of your time. So, I have two cats. For a while they were indoor and outdoor cats, but they recently tracked in a nasty bit of ringworm so I don't let them outside anymore. It was exactly this bout of ringworm that I had come in to get treated. I've been two other times now, and had two other doctors tell me that they are one hundred percent certain it is in fact ringworm. The only reason I came into this specific urgent care is because I got confused when I was entering the address for my usual urgent care into my google maps, but I figured since they're basically all the same it wouldn't be a big deal if I went to a different one just this once. I was wrong. I came in, and the doctor starts to look me over. He tells me it's eczema. Now, I can see why he'd be confused given that my ringworm does overlap some eczema that I've had for a while now, but it is in no way related. I know this, because two other doctors have said this now. I try explaining it to him and he gets very defensive explaining how "we could both be right," or something like that. I didn't say he was wrong to begin with but I don't want to be rude so I'm like yeah, you're the doctor, whatever you say. He sent me home with a "prescription" for two medications that are over the counter. Not only that, but one was an allergy medication that I don't need, since I already have a prescription for my allergies and that wasn't even what I was there for; and the other was a steroid cream for eczema THAT I ALREADY HAVE AND HAVE BEEN USING FOR YEARS NOW. I didn't even bother picking the prescriptions up for obvious reasons. Now, I pretty much realized that I had payed a bunch of money for nothing while I was there, given that he told me what he would be prescribing in the middle of the visit, and I literally couldn't contain myself. I started crying, because this would be a serious blow to my bank account and it wouldn't even solve my problem. I have literally had this ringworm for 8 months now, and I have spent hours every day covering it up with creams and concealers and it is exhausting. So here I am, broke and covered in open soars, having my last resort tell me that there's basically nothing wrong with me. And he goes on talking for about five to ten minutes before he goes, "Oh I didn't even realize you were crying." I literally don't know how this man became a doctor, or why he even wanted to. Normally when people want to enter the medical field it's because they're extraordinarily compassionate and want to dedicate their lives to helping people. I'm pretty sure this guy couldn't spell compassion. I mean, it's not like he's an esthetician, so I get that skin stuff isn't his specialty, but he couldn't even deliver the bare minimum of care. Tldr, I guess I'm going to have to save up a bunch of cash to see a specialist because apparently there's nothing that my insurance covers that will actually help. read more

Made my appointment online on Saturday, for an hour and a half later, was called back within 15 mins of getting there and seen by the provider within 15mins of getting in the room. The front and back office, as well as the provider that treated me was very nice. That was, by far, the best urgent care visit I have ever had which is what I told my husband when I got in the truck to leave. read more

With all of the amazing reviews, we felt confident that we would be treated well at Accelerated Urgent Care. We were seen and out within 2 hours - average for Urgent Care in our experience in Bakersfield, I wouldn't call it "accelerated" by any means - but the problem is with the follow through. We were told that we needed to see a specialist immediately and that we would receive a call within the hour to confirm that we were cleared to go to the specialist and that AUC had sent over our paperwork. Multiple phone calls from us and five hours later, the paperwork was finally sent in time for the specialist to have gone home for the day. Now on day 2 of a very serious medical condition with no followthrough. The receptionist at AUC was extremely rude and seemingly incapable of completing the basic functions of her job -- such as faxing lab results and making a phone call. We are now going to the Emergency Room, which is what we should have done in the first place. A complete and utter waste of time, money, and patience. read more

Beautiful facility. Pleasant support staff. Too bad the doctor has no people skills. He diagnosed my condition w/o listening to my symptoms and before looking at the x-rays. He later pointed out a part of the x-ray, telling me that my pain was there. I corrected him and pointed out the real location of my pain. He told me that he was a doctor, not me. And proceeded to brag about his qualifications. Then he left. His inability to listen or focus on the medical condition at hand gives me much reason to doubt his diagnosis. He said that there was no reliable test for his diagnosis. He did offer to refund my money for the urgent care visit. At least he offered that much to cover his earlier mistake. P.S. The next morning, a person from Accelerated Urgent Care called me to check how I was doing. I said "oh, I'm still in pain." To which she replied "doing fine? I'm glad to hear that." I didn't bother clarifying. P.P.S. One month later, I received a bill for this urgent care visit. The total includes my co-payment, which Dr. Massihi didn't collect at the time of the visit because he wasn't charging me for that visit where he misdiagnosed my condition and berated me for doubting his misdiagnosis and for not bring a doctor, like him. I was visiting some relatives in Bakersfield (Live in Pasadena Now) and started having severe abdominal pain, I had heard Accelerated Urgent Care was the best urgent care in the area from some relatives, so I took a chance and checked it out. Their facility is beautiful!! 'It's Just as nice, if not nicer than some of the high end LA urgent cares I've been to before, although at that time I was in so much pain I didn't care! But they got me in real quick, about 30 minutes or so and I saw one of the doctors, he was a real Emergency Room Doc! I think his name was Dr. Erikson, super nice guy, and very knowledgeable, he ordered some blood tests, hooked me up to an IV, gave me meds for nausea and pain, and did a bedside ultrasound and found out I had gallstones, in about 2 hours, I was completely pain free, without any nausea, he also sent me home with some great pain and nausea medications. I had been to ER's in LA for much more minor stuff and it always took 4-6 hours!! They turned a horrible situation into a pleasant one. Thanks AUC!!! First visit with child A, They input my insurance information incorrectly correctly they weren't able to submit a claim to my insurance all they had to do was correct their mistake and instead they billed my debit card for my deductible because of their error. No notice at all! $500 out of my checking account. On a separate encounter with child B, we had a heck of a time getting decent medical care. We saw three different providers, had three return trips because they continued to change what they thought could be the problem. At one visit they took X-rays in office, they couldn't draw blood because their MA was not competent enough to complete the task instead my kid got poked 6 times and hellacious bruising. A month later, I'm again charged $100 for my out of pocket expense with zero notice given. Come on people!! Send an invoice and do your job right the first time! Their billing guy said they send out emails notifying that they will charge you but they also input my email address incorrectly. I pointed out this error to him and two receptionists at two different office visits, of course, every one of them said they'd correct the mistake. I guess nobody did because I have received zero correspondence from this business. The service here is beyond frustrating. The minimal wait time is the only advantage of going to these places. Quality medical care and customer service is not included. read more

I have been here several times before, as has my husband. We have taken our toddler there on occasion in an abundance of caution, if I can't reach his pediatrician. They handle pediatrics, which is always a plus. Having been seen here and at local emergency rooms, I would prefer to come here. It's cleaner and there's usually less of a wait. It seems like a sign of the times with under and uninsured flooding local emergency rooms. They can get busy but it's still a shorter wait than local ERs. The doctors I have seen have competently addressed all issues. The only time we went to an ER instead was a more serious issue where we thought someone might need to be admitted. We particularly appreciated the follow up calls after treatment to ensure we were feeling better. read more

I am an uninsured individual that rarely goes to the doctor. This is the first visit within the last 10 years. My experience there was great! Got there when it opened with a number people at the door prior to opening. They nurses were very friendly and the doctor was young but very professional and knowledgable. I highly recommend this place. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is due to the cost. The doctor told me the shot I received was 100.00 but it ended up being 237.00. Quite a difference. I will tell you to ask exact amount of cost of different services prior to receiving them if you are uninsured. read more

Use the online appt system and you're in and out in no time. The waiting room was standing only....totally packed. I had a 12:15 appt, was called back, treated and out of there by 1:15. Also, my doctor was A. Massihi, he could NOT have been any better. This is the kind of bed side manner you hope to have in a doctor but usually do not find. I was visiting my fam in Bako and began to have difficulty breathing and fevers, I called Accelerated Urgent Care and made an appointment to be seen. They got me in within the hour! The entire facility is beautiful, clean and I only waited 15 minutes before being called back. The nurse who evaluated me, Amanda, was very nice, and caring. After being placed in a room, Dr. Massihi evaluated me within 15 minutes. He was very caring, kind, and professional. They gave me a breathing treatment, two injections and an Xray was also performed all within one hour, the doctor reviewed the X-ray with me and explained everything to me! I felt so much better before leaving and was able to breathe comfortably again! I have never been treated so well by any doctors office, or any Dr for that matter, Dr. Massihi and Amanda were wonderful. Thanks AUC!! read more

I went here for the first time this morning and, as far as urgent care experiences, this is definitely superior to almost anywhere else in the city. I waited for about an hour, which is decent, but once I got into an exam room I was gone in twenty minutes. The nurses and doctor were wonderful, very sweet, caring, and funny. All of the staff are great and I have no complaints about my treatment or diagnosis (acute tonsillitis, yikes!). read more

This is the most Unprofessional Urgent Care I've ever been in. The receptionists are rude and argumentative. If ya don't like your job, go work somewhere else! And if your sick , have the common sense to cough and sneeze into your elbow. As a healthcare worker set a better example. the only reason I'm giving a 5 star review is because urgent care would have lost patient today if dr wills hadn't been there! my boyfriend went in a couple weeks ago because he had an accident with his finger and dr wills stitched him up and asked if we wanted him to take the stitches out when it came time, which we responded with absolutely he was so nice, very professional and had a soft touch! he was very considerate of my boyfriends pain. today we went back to get the stitches out (specifically asked for dr wills) because he told us he'd be working today and he could take them out for us. we get into our room and another dr walks in and tells me his name is dr chaves and starts with "so you need your stitches out or whatever?" and we respond with yes because we all assumed he was someone who came in to check in and then let us know when dr wills would be in. he continues to put gloves on when I asked "are you going to be the dr working on him?" he said yes . I then asked if we could possibly have dr wills do it since we're comfortable with him and he already is comfortable with the wound. and he replies with "it doesn't really matter who works on it" and we said well we specifically came in today so he could work on it. he responds with such attitude in his voice "it shouldnt matter since I've been working here 20 years a LOT LONGER than dr wills. but OK!" so aggressive. it was very VERY unprofessional and honestly made us all very uncomfortable and unsettled to even have his stitches still taken out there. but as always dr wills was very sweet and helped us ! And even apologized for dr chavez's unprofessionalism . highly recommend him and highly do NOT recommend being seen by dr Chavez . read more

I first came to AUC on Monday 6/15 in regards to an abcess I had developed on my leg. The front office staff was ok that day, not completely unprofessional but not what you would expect from this kind of facility (until you realize how the facility is actually run). I paid my co-pay and waited to be called. I did get brought back relatively fast. The medical assistant did not know what she was doing. She took my tempurature wrong and continuously moved me and talked to me as my blood pressure was being taken. I was put in their procedures room since I had to have my abcess drained because it had gotten rather infected in very short amount of time. There were supplies and instruments laying all over various trays and counters throughout the room. Dr. Washington then came in and saw me. I must say, he was 1 of only 2 staff members there I would recommend anyone to. Dr. Washington had excellent bedside manner and told me how and why this happened. He quickly preformed the procedure, bandaged me up, gave me an rx, and then recommended I return the following day. As we were finishing up the visit, an MA came in laughing to ask if the MD needed any assistance. The MD was visible irritated and waved her off. I then checked out and headed home. The following day, I came back, to the same front office with one of the girls on her personal phone. I checked in with the other, paid my co-pay, and sat and waited. Again, a decent wait time. Got brought back by a different MA who was more interested in her co-worked than her patients. I then got brought into a regular exam room to wait. Dr. W comes in and was very polite as usual. He examines my wound and then has to search the room for supplies because the MA had failed to set up. He said my wound was getting worse and started me on IV antibiotics. The RN who took care of me (I believe it was Des) was amazing! She was a lot of fun for being in such a rough situation. She's the second person I would recommend from here. I sat there for an hour and a half with the IV and Dr. W tells me to come back the folloing day to check the wound and be given a 2nd round of IV antibiotics. So, I come back Wednesday to much of the same unprofessionalism. I pay my co-pay and then I see Dr. W and he tells me the wound is looking much better and wants to do one more round of IV antibiotics. There was a different nurse on who was not nearly as patient friendly as the one the night before. Anyhow, I do my hour and a half IV treatment and Dr. W says he wants to see me one more time on Thursday to do a wound check and make sure I will not need any further follow ups. I come in on Thursday and check in. The receptionist asks me for my co-pay and I realized I didn't have my wallet. I ask if she can just bill me or if I can bring it in tomorrow on my way to work. She then gets rude and states that if I can't pay it today, I can't be seen. So, I ask to speak with the office manager, Stephanie. That wasn't much help either. I tried to work with her because it was a simple mistake that could have easily been fixed and she refused to work with me. I had paid my co-pay, in full, the previous 3 days and I was only there for a simple wound check, she absolutely would not allow me to be seen. She was very rude and disrespectful. I told her that clearly they put dollar signs ahead of there patient care, to which she said; "We always put our patient care first.". To that I couldn't help but laugh and ask her why I wasn't being seen. Stephanie then told me if I'm not being seen, I need to leave. Ultimately, the office was very unprofessional and does not have its patient's best interests at heart. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I wish Dr. Washington worked in a different office because he is the ONLY reason I would even consider giving this clinic anymore money. The office is in severe need of a staff overhall and until that happens, it will continue to lose business. read more

Another updated review. I have no complaints about the service provided and the facilities. I did have a complain about their 3rd party biller who charged my card iin full (over $600) without my authorization or my knowledge. I found out when I checked my HSA account online. Dr. Massihi responded to my review and AUC was playing phone tag with me prior to the weekend to get this resolved. I appreciate the fact that AUC did not intentionally charge my account without notifying me and that they are communicating with their billing vendor on my behalf. So I am upgrading my review to reflect this. I still make AUC my #1 urgent care facility. read more

We were driving through town and I was concerned about some unusual first trimester pregnancy symptoms. I was put to ease by the very friendly staff, nurses, and Dr. Luckily, my ultra sound was good and I felt better about waiting to see my Dr. Once returning home. As with all urgent care visits you must wait a bit, but they had a new, clean facility with good magazines. I called and scheduled an appointment for my husband the day before, and I really liked that they were able to accommodate the time I asked for. My husband arrived at about 2:20 and his scheduled appt time was 2:30 on 10/14. He said they called him back at about 2:45. It's honestly taken longer to be called back by our PCP's office even with a scheduled appt. He was treated for his bronchitis and was administered two vaccinations which he said took effect right away, and he felt so much better. He didn't have anything negative to say about his appointment. We've brought our son in the past and it's always pretty quick to get back. They really live up to their name! read more

Great place overall, I've been here twice first time for a case of bronchitis and the were very quick and got the job done. Second time wasn't too great, went in because I couldn't hear so I had to have my ears flushed, took them a while to flush them out. (That's not their fault I know) but once they finished I was extremely dizzy and had the worst headache and I wasn't asked if I was alright or anything. I had ear pain for a couple days after the visit so I wished they were a little bit more careful and attentive to how I felt after. But overall really a great place. read more

As far as Urgent cares go. This is the best one Ive ever been to. Friendly staff, doctor was attentive and fixed my situation up. Now, my long trusted doctor once told me. "If your sick or hurt enough to seek medical attention. Go see a doctor or emergency room". Having said that, this place was good. And the best part was GOING ONLINE AND MAKING APPOINTMENT. Just had another visit for my son, who is extremely sick. The girls at the front counter were nice and quick to get us checked in. We waited about 45mins out front before being brought back. Waited about an hour for the doctor. This time, we were greeted with the little girl offering candy and water to patients. Which after she walked away, they were making comments about being sick and not wanting to be bothered with the sales pitch. (I agree) I watched this same little girl jumping around behind the counter, while the girls were trying to deal with phone calls and patients. A doctors office/urgent care is not the place for this little girl to be selling stuff or for her to be roaming around... When the doctor walked in, she seemed too much in a hurry to listen and showed zero compassion, even rude to my son. (Who's special needs by the way!) My son was very weak and was having a hard time sitting up. She says to him, "you need to sit up" in the rudest tone I've ever heard a doctor take! We took a couple of tests (the nurse was super sweet and patient!!) the doctor walks in, shoves a couple of papers in my face, says something, and walks out. My husband and I just looked at each other and said WHAT? We didn't know to stay, leave, were we done, what the heck? We walked out and not a soul acknowledged us walking out. Once I got to the car, I saw she prescribed my young son, pills. My husband waited about 20 minutes for her to fix the prescription, which irritated her. (He could hear the comments) We gave this place a second chance, but will not be returning after today's experience. Take a couple extra minutes to know who you have in your room and let's learn some bedside manners... Just a thought. Waiting room was clean, although small, and we were in/out pretty quickly. **After driving and calling around, it seems we have a prescription for something that nobody in Kern County has in stock... Wish I could give ZERO stars ... but I guess they will end up with this 1 because of their decor. The place looks nice. That's it. I went in for an emergency potential broken bone in foot - still can't walk one month later - they did an xray and ordered an MRI. I did the MRI that night ( they scheduled it at 6:00 p.m. and I went). That was on a Tuesday. Was told that they would call me by Thursday with results. I called them Friday - was told they had the results but were toooooo busy to give them to me. I called twice on Monday and then twice on Tuesday. They were simply too busy to read me the results. I couldn't walk that entire week. After I threatened to report them the receptionist put me on hold for one minute then came back on and said the DR didn't see anything and I could pick up the MRI at their front desk.
