Medical assistance were amazing but Dr. Alvarez He didn't show any compassion, bedside manner or empathy it felt like such a drive through experience. I wasn't able to voice my concern without being interrupted by him. Dr. Alvarez spend no more than five minutes in the room, provided the negative results checked his ears and diagnosed as an ear infection. He started walking out of the room, stating he was gonna prescribe an antibiotic and left. Never once was I asked if I had any questions. Our aftercare instructions. Keep in mind my son is on his fourth day with 102.7 fevers no signs of ear pulling or ear discomfort never once was I told if it goes beyond a certain day with fevers to bring them back to go to emergency room nothing. read more

The wait here is ridiculously long. I got here at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and didn't get called until 3:00. An hour and a half wait is way too long. They mentioned there was only one doctor on staff while the others were off at lunch. How about staggering lunch periods so one doctor isn't left to attend to 15 patients alone?? On top of that, the staff isn't very friendly. They make you state aloud in the waiting room, where everyone car hear why you're there. What happened to patient confidentiality?? The Doctor finally came to see me at 3:20 and was short, curt, and rude. His only remedy for my visit was antibiotics. That's the only thing docs in Bako seem to prescribe along with painkillers. The PA Slade Stoller was amazing. I took in my 5y daughter who was dealing with a lot of symptoms and obviously not feeling very well and he exceeded any doctor visit she has ever had. A list of amazing bedside manners for a child: he bent down to talk to her eye to eye when he came and introduced himself to her. Treated her as the patient, not just asking me for symptoms. He explained everything he was going to do to her through the exam and explained it in a way for a child. And most importantly asked HER for permission before touching her. She also had to receive a shot because of the bad condition she was in. As most children are, my daughter is frightened of shots and will fight against even the idea of it. He explained to her ahead of time what was going to happen, and did not lie about that it would hurt. He took his time to make sure that she would agree to the shot. And my daughter, even though she cried, took it without anyone holding her. Stroller made us feel heard, taken care of and respected. I hope that his pediatric bedside manner is noticed by management and utilized throughout all locations and physicians. read more

I went to the accelerated urgent care on K Street. They got me in quickly but the doctor or medical assistant dropped the ball when my prescriptions for muscle relaxers and Ibuprofen was to be called in to my pharmacy! I gave them plenty of time to call it in and waited a few hours before I called the pharmacy to ask if they had my prescriptions ready. The reply was that they never got a call for my prescriptions. I called accelerated urgent care and they said they would send it in in the next five minutes. I called back to the pharmacy and of course they didn't do that. I had to drive to accelerated urgent care to ask them to give me a paper prescription and I would take it to my pharmacy! I was told they don't do that any longer which they should because you can't trust these people to send in or call in your prescription. at 4:40 pm I finally got the medications I needed for my back pain! I will never go to this urgent care on K Street nor do I recommend you going there! There's nothing urgent about their care!!!! They suck! read more

This has been my second visit here. The first time I brought my toddler, this time Myself and my toddler were seen. Best urgent care I have been to. It is clean, quick, and easy. Paper work is easy to fill out and everyone is super friendly. Dr. Washington is awesome! He also saw my husband when he came in a few months ago. They fax over any medications to your pharmacy of choice, they tested our toddler for a UTI- which is a plus for us! Overall our experience here has always been 5 stars! read more

I came in here Nov 26 with asthma, I felt like I might have had walking pneumonia, however they did an x-ray on me and my lungs were clear. Thankfully. They took care of me and prescribed me the indicated prescriptions for my asthma. I don't have insurance, and I believe they charged me $205.00 just for the consultation and that does not included anything extra done for me. I'm grateful for their service and how quick I was out of here. The doctor made me feel like she had known me and showed actual care. read more

The wait is really ridiculous. Made an appointment online and arrived on time at 2:15. We were called back to take my sons vitals pretty quick but now have been waiting for an hour back in a room. There were two other people in the lobby so this place is not busy by any means. Don't make appointments if you can't honor them. This place is a joke. I went in for stitches on my leg because my local clinic was already closed for the day . I called ahead of time and said I needed stitches. I told the front desk girl I needed stitches. I waited two and a half hours for stitches. When I was finally seen, I'm not even sure what the qualification of the person that saw me was. He certainly wasn't a doctor. He didn't even have a name tag. He and a nurse of some kind elevated my leg on a cardboard box that they brought in from somewhere. They unwrapped my leg from the bandage I had come in with and told me they couldn't do anything because my leg wouldn't stop bleeding. Well no kidding, that's why my leg needed stitches. Second of all there is a clotting agent called Bleed Stop which I found out about the next day from a friend. It's available in every pharmacy over-the-counter. It's pretty hilarious this place didn't have any. In the end all they did was bandage me up the same way I had bandaged myself up and told me I needed to come back the next day to see an actual doctor. The next day I simply went to the medical office right by my house which was now open that happened to hit a small vein. The attending doctor took care of it in 15 minutes. This place is a joke and has a Better Business Bureau rating of F and no accreditation, which I found out later after they tried to charge me $395 for this ridiculous experience even though I had medi-cal. Don't go here, it's a scam. read more

Unfortunately, had to visit accelerated urgent care today at 9710 Brimhall Rd. In Bakersfield ca. I had an appointment for 12:30 pm. and when we arrived, there were two patients waiting in the waiting room. After waiting an 1:45 minutes the waiting room had filled up with about 25 people and after watching five patients go back in which didn't have appointments because you can hear as they're checking in telling the front desk personnel that they had no appointment. It was then that I approached the front desk and talked to Viviana, i asked if she could explain the process. She spoke over me, cutting me off and was very rude and demeaning towards me. We've all been sick and ill and in no way is it okay for someone working in the healthcare profession to be as rude and demeaning as she was. I'm not sure who trained this person or who would think it's acceptable for her to behave this way, but it is 100% unprofessional. You work in a profession that deals with sick people that should expect to be treated with care and kindness. I will never return to the facility and wouldn't recommend any others to if you want to be treated with respect and kindness. And to add, we had an appointment at 12:30 and was not called back until 2:15. read more

1st-the doctor and staff were great. I'm not knocking them in this review. My issue is being told that I will receive a bill in the mail before a payment goes through so I can schedule Smaller payments. Welp, I wake up this morning with a charge from Accelerated that I didn't have available in my bank. I called them, they directed me to billing who then tells me they can refund me but I have to use another card to pay the whole charge...uhm...so refund me so I can pay the same amount again? Makes sense... Then I am told that in order to get refunded I have to send a letter to Accelerated for them to contact billing to refund me and make a payment plan. I am also informed the bill is sent via email...NOT mail. After I got off the call I went through my email from before my visit. Not a single email from them. Not only is this completely wrong, charging someone without notifying them how much it will be it also screwed up my finances and I can't pay my car payment and other bills and I'm now having to deal with trying to get this refunded to make smaller payments. There is something completely wrong with how all this went down and gives me an uneasy feeling that they can just charge me whenever. read more

Almost died according to my primary Dr. My lungs were jacked up even more by the time I got to see my dr 2 days later. Dont bother with these people. Go see your regular dr. I have come here many times over the years with my kids (before we had to switch to Kaiser) and Accelerated has always been great...quick, clean, patient and take their time with the patients (but not slow). Dr Chavez has always been the one who saw my kids, but then we had to switch to kaiser. However I still bring my 95 year old Grandma in to be seen and Dr Washington is THE BEST! We had to come in for another visit tonight for her. And let me tell you....he is Kind and patient and friendly and sooooo smart and thorough. He takes the time upfront to revisit her record and discuss things not necessarily directly related to the current visit (but just to be extra thorough with her frail health). I really appreciate Dr Washington and the rest of the Accelerated staff as they are just so patient and accommodating to my grandma in her frail state Of Heath! Ps - being able To get an appt within an Hour of scheduling and then being seen, treated (shot of antibiotics plus Rx) within an hour is sooo wonderful - when dealing with sick kids and elderly! Brought my little one last night to be evaluated for fever x 2 days and sore throat x 1 day. The MA spent more time with us taking vitals than the provider did in the room for the physical exam. Did not address me as the caregiver, spoke directly to my 4 year old asking for her symptoms and her evening plans since it is raining. She looked in her throat for one second and in her ears. Her only comment, again directed to my 4 year old, "do you know you have a lot of ear wax. I just see ear wax." And then finally acknowledged me and asked, so do you want antibiotics? And I said "well she has had a fever for two days and today she started complaining of a sore throat. I've been managing her fever by alternating Pete's Tylenol and Petes Motrin every 4 to 6 hours and make sure that she is hydrated. This kind of questioning then made me wonder if she even looked at the medical assistant's notes.. she said "well then if she has fever, I will give you the pink stuff." And walked out of the room.... The entire interaction lasted less than 5 minutes. Waste of time, service has no value and they do not follow clinical guidelines safely. Had the worst case of tonsillitis diagnosed later, the dumb male doctor in there didn't even give me an exam stood at the sink away from me, didn't even look down my throat when I said I felt swelling all in my neck. I was in physical distress and went to Accelerated. I asked at the desk if my condition could be treated there and was told yes. When I finally saw the doctor, Rocky Chavez, he told me that I could not be treated and that I needed to go to an ER. He was rude and abusive. There was no reason for his disrespectful behavior. I have NEVER in my 64 years been treated by so poorly by someone who is supposed to be a medical professional. Even though I was not treated, I was charged an excessive amount. I contacted billing to dispute the charge and never heard back. I contacted public relations and never heard back. read more

Took my son after he got hit with baseball above eye. Obviously needed stitches. Specifically asked if they did stitches. After 45 minute wait and 10 second check by doctor was told he needed a cat scan for concussion, possible fracture and then sutures and to head to ER. Was made to sign a refusing medical services form and when I said I didn't refuse anything they refused to treat me the gal said that was because I wasn't going in an ambulance. At ER was told after an exhaustive check up no scan, no X-ray needed just 5 stitches. This UC was lazy and just wanted to cover themselves by making me sign the form. Guess most UCs won't treat head wounds but they sure took my insurance card and copay instead of being upfront and wasting my time during an already chaotic time. read more

I came in for a chest infection (thinking I had bronchitis or pneumonia) and the joke of a guy who saw me sent me to the ER when he knew I was between insurances to be checked for a blood clot that he could have looked for with blood work. He did all this despite me informing him of my history with pneumonia and bronchitis due to asthma and a low immune system. 8 hours of my life is gone from sitting in a hospital who's top priority isn't figuring out why I can't breath. Only to go home with ZERO treatment. The urgent care man who saw me argued and yelled at my husband. I went to Sendas Northwest urgent care the next day and they couldn't have been more helpful, kind, or disgusted with how Accelerated Urgent care treated me. I left there with treatment, for PNEUMONIA! Who ever the young white bald guy was (nurse practitioner?) he was awful. I would have liked to see a real dr for my $200. We had planned to use accelerated when needed when our insurance kicks in. Not now, not a chance in hell. Do yourself a favor and use Sendas Northwest. Edit to add some updated details: At the time I visited accelerated urgent care I was five weeks pregnant and told them. They still refused to treat me and sent me to the ER. I'm now paying almost $1000 for being seen at the ER and getting unnecessary tests done on my heart. When they could have ran a blood test and given me a chest X-ray. Their ignorant and unacceptable lack of treatment could have cost my baby her life. Thank God I listened to my instincts and found another urgent care. Avoid at all costs. read more

Anytime I find myself in need of medical care is probably not a good day. This day was no different. My work schedule prohibited me from taking yet another half day off to sit at my general practitioners office. In addition I wasn't about to wait a week before I could be scheduled. I mean, usually when you need medical care you need it ASAP - none of this waiting business. I began scanning other options and came across Accelerated Urgent Care. After reading several positive reviews I decided to schedule an appointment. To my surprise they accepted both walk-ins and appointments (up to 9pm!). I scheduled myself a 6pm appointment for the following day - score! Inside, the office was super clean and modern. Two lines separate the walk-ins from the appointments making check-in super quick. A few forms later I was all set! I didn't even get a chance to settle into a good game of iPhone solitaire before I was called back. Everyone was exceptionally polite and helpful. The staff knew their business and never made me feel rushed. I asked questions and they gave thorough answers; something you expect but rarely receive with medical professionals. In less than 45 minutes I was in and out. Seriously! That kind of efficiency is hard to find these days. Let alone in a medical setting. The only drawback is the price. My co-pay was still $100 (compared to $25). Because Urgent Care is a different billing type, this is to be expected. But sometimes efficiency, great care, and customer service is totally worth it. read more

I love this place. I had to go here for an assortment of reasons over the last two years, and I was always taken care of promptly. The doctors are seriously wonderful and the nurses were AWESOME. My co-pay here was cheap, $15. I've gone for everything from tonsillitis to gallstones. They do x-rays, ultrasounds, everything. They are compassionate, kind, and make you feel comfortable. I cannot recommend them enough. The only downside is that they don't accept my new insurance, which doesn't really surprise me. This is the SH!TT!EST URGENT CARE IN BAKERSFIELD!! I have a piece of metal in my eye they charged me $200 to go back to see the PA. Once we get back there he numbs my eye and is getting ready to pull out a piece of metal then tells me they have to charge me first. I told him I already paid $200, they said it's an additional charge. Usually basic stuff like that is covered under the entry charge. I know because I'm in the urgent care like 10 times a year. They then tell me it's an additional $220 to pull it out. So now I'm looking at $440. I got up off the table and walked out. I payed $200 for my eye to have 2 numbing drops put in. I'll go to the optometrist in the morning and pay $160. Go to Centric Urgent Care, avoid this place like the plague. read more

I came for a COVID test for my family but the front desk person checked us into an urgent care at a different location which caused us to wait a lot longer than we should have and by the time they caught it multiple people that had come long after me had gone before me. It's already Expected to be a long wait when going to any urgent care but careless mistakes causing more of an extended wait is unwarranted. Makes me wonder if the doctors and PAs they employ are just as careless. Never returning here. read more

I'll live! Might be the California air. Might be a bad cold. Dunno ‍ One breathing treatment and an inhaler and I'm send home. The PA at the urgent care center sucked-big time. He wanted to send me to the ER. Said the sky was falling. Pulmonary embolism. No tests. What?!?!?!? I asked for the doc. He told me I could talk to the doctor but I was going to get the same answer. No way! The doctor, Dr. Washington, was fabulous. He came in, ordered a chest x-ray, actually listened to what I had to say and then listen to my lungs and did a thorough examination....decided I would live. Ordered a breathing treatment and inhaler. Told me to go to the ER if some specific signs got worse and let me go. Don't get me wrong. I think there is a place for PAs! But that was a bad call 100%. And no matter how calmly you talk to me and repeat yourself I was calling BS on your diagnosis. read more

Back in January my 1 year old stuck something in her nose and we couldn't get it out. We decided to take her to accelerated urgent care to get it out. The doctor walked in and asked what happened. We explained the situation to her. She takes a look at the object stuck in one nostril and tells us that there is nothing that they can do there we need to go to the emergency room but if we wanted to either mom or dad can try blowing in the babies mouth to see if it comes out. We refused due to us not being trained medical staff. We leave accelerated urgent care and head over to the emergency room and get it taken care of. At no point was the babies life in danger. She was breathing fine out of one nostril. On April 17 I get charged $206 on my debit card from accelerated urgent care. I call and inquire about the charge and was told it was for the extraction procedure that was done on my daughter back in January. I inform them that nothing was done and I have paperwork from the emergency room showing that hours later they did the extraction. I was given the run around promised that I was going to be called later regarding this issue. No one ever called. Talked to their billing department, managers, anyone that would answer at accelerated urgent care. No solution was given. After about a month of calling and being brushed off I called my bank and they took care of my refund. I was never sent a bill or was called to authorize the charges they did. Stay away from this place and be aware of random charges on your debit card. With many urgent care offices opening up in town, Accelerated Urgent Care would not be somewhere I will ever go for urgent medical treatment. read more
