I wish I could give them a negative star for their horrible service. First off, the receptionist or whatever she is, is very rude. Second off, the wait time to get someone not the phone is ridiculous and third off they are incompetent and fraudulent. They came out to my home 3 times to fix my refrigerator. The first time was a success... well for two months at least. The refrigerator went out again someone comes out for a 2nd time says they fixed it but it was still broken. They come back say it can't be fixed and that they were going to report it our home warranty company. Then they say they were told by their supervisor that they would need to come back out and try one more time. So we give them another chance. This time they come out again and this time cause water damage to the base of my cabinets. My husband calls American Home Shield to follow up and was told that accord reported that the refrigerator was working... NOT... it's still not working. We've been dealing with this for 6 months now. Finally AHS said that they would send another company so they sent Sears. Well Sears did a diagnostic test and found that there were two problems that were not diagnosed by accord and the refrigerator would never work because accord only fixed the compressor not the other problems. Never use these people!!! I was forced to use them through First American Home Warranty as they said this is the only co they had who fixes Whirlpool. First, they couldn't come for a week. Second, they gave a 6 hour window, 12 - 6, in violation of Ca law. I advised them I couldn't be home before 2; they were nice at that point and said it wouldn't be a problem. I then called the morning of the appt and told them again to which they stated it was in the notes. I asked for the common courtesy of a phone call first as well. I arrived home well before 2. No show. I called and no answer. I called FA the following Monday bc the service day was a Friday and after being on hold was told they said their truck broke down and they'd be there the next day between 3-5. When I called the next day to confirm, I got a rude child girl who said they had no record of the call with FA and couldn't come until Friday. When the guy finally showed up Friday, he said he fixed the washer. No again. First load, not fixed. Message of the story, don't do business with this co and don't let your warranty co assign them. read more

Before calling Accord Appliance, I read the reviews on this site and was concerned about their reputation. We have a home warranty and this was our first experience in using the warranty and I was hoping for a good result. Today Austin, their technician came to repair our clothes dryer. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and fast! It took him very little time to diagnose the problem and he had all the required replacement parts in his vehicle so it was a quick repair. This is the worst company I ever work with. AHS contracted them. They are literary in bed with the insurance company and refused to provide me with accurate report to make sure that my stove won't be replaced. The Accord Appliance technician told my tenant that the stove should be replaced by AHS and he provided all the pictures to AHS and then we never heard from either AHS and them. 3 weeks later we called the Warranty insurance company, They claimed to have received nothing, they in turn called the Accord Appliance. And now AHS claim that the technician told them that the stove was mis-used !!! Now listen....Mis-used because there is too much grease on the stove!!! FLABERGASTED. I'm sewing both companies. Our wine refrigerator stopped working and the manufacturer recommended this company. I called to set up an appointment, which was about a week from my call. On 2/15 - the day of my appointment, I waited, waited, waited. Finally around 2pm, I decided to call to see what time they would arrive. After waiting 12 minutes on hold, I got a rep and she informed me that I was notified by "text" that my appointment was moved to the 16th. I checked my phone - no voicemail or text. Which I thought was odd, given that you'd think they'd want to confirm that date would be OK with me. So now I've missed a day of work. The technician showed up on the 16th. He seemed nice enough, and showed up relatively early. I told him what the manufacturer rep told me was the problem. After 5 minutes of plugging off/on and looking at the serial number, he confirmed the problem, asked for $60, and said someone would get back to me. That was almost verbatim the extent of the transaction. Couldn't fix. Couldn't tell me how much. Couldn't tell me when someone would be back to fix it... just "someone will get back to you." I'll be honest, life got the best of me, and I didn't realize until MARCH 9TH - a full THREE WEEKS later, that no one had followed up to tell me how much, when, etc. So I called and got a nice gentleman on the phone, who seemed equally chagrined at the length of time it's taken to get back to me, and "assured" me that he was putting it on a supervisor's desk for immediate follow up. I'm sure you can guess what happened. NOTHING. I decided to give it a couple of days, on the off-chance that they needed to follow up with a parts distributor, but by today, I thought the least someone could do is call me to tell me their working on it. SO I called again today. I waited 15 MINUTES on hold, before I just had no more time to wait and left a message. And of course, it's now the end of the day and I have heard from no one. I wish I had come to Yelp first before calling them. I can see that there are numerous bad reviews. There was another company the manufacturer gave us. Needless to say I am out $60, and I have no solution to my problem. My advice - look for someone else. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I have a home warranty plan. I requested service for my dishwasher. The problem was the water was not going through to the spinning handles. The first visit, the technician commented on the vehicles in the driveway (high end vehicles). I was told the brand of dishwasher I have should not have been purchased, and that I could purchase a new dishwasher from Accord Appliance. I said I think the dishwasher can be repaired, and the technician told me to put a rinse agent (Jet Dry) in my dishwasher. I did, and the problem persisted. I requested another service call. I looked in the dishwasher and saw a stainless steel screw, maybe a quarter inch big. It looked like a screw from the motor in the bottom of the dishwasher. The second visit the same technician came, and I told him that putting the rinse agent in did not fix the problem. I pointed out the stainless steel screw in the bottom of the dishwasher. I told him it looks like it may have come from the motor. My home warranty covers repairs or replacement of the appliance. The technician told me that it looks like the motor isn't working and that he would put in a request for replacement motor to my home warranty company. Accord Appliance told my home warranty company that I put a foreign object in the dishwasher and that caused the dishwasher not to work, and Accord Appliance wanted me to pay between $400 and $500 to replace the motor. Really? I pointed out what I thought was the problem to the technician, and the technician reported that I did something to damage the dishwasher (a complete lie). If you have any choice to never use Accord Appliance, don't use them as a repair company. read more

Horrible! The tech, Mark, they sent out was extremely rude. Told me I had no right to take apart my own stove top( which we did 3 days prior to get it to stop trying to ignite itself in the middle of the night) and called me a rude liar in my own home. He also said I had to write him a check right away or he was going to leave without even looking at the problem. I had to tell Mark he was being rude and needed to leave! When I called the office to report what had happen the receptionist could have cared less she told me Mark already informed her what I had done.... What I had done?! Excuse but last I check I was the customer and he was rude to me and worst all this happened in front of my 5 year old daughter. They whole company is disrespectful and unprofessional. Igor from Accord Appliance has come to our home twice. He is very skilled, very efficient and hard working. He is a very nice responsible person. He gets the job done. The first time was diagnostic and we needed a part. Once the part arrived, he returned to install and he had to take the washer completely apart. A lot of work and very time consuming. Once he finished he ran it to make sure it was working properly. He deserves 5 stars. On the other hand I think his supervisor must over schedule him. He left at 6:00 to go do another job. He never complained and had a very positive attitude. Some of the negative feedback is about arriving late or not at all. He was late, but once again they are over scheduling. Happy clients will evolve if you stop over scheduling to avoid late complaints because Igor does excellent work!!!! read more

The gasket needed to be replaced and he promptly ordered the part and said would be there in the next few days to replace it. It felt like we got the right people to take care of the job. I would give them "0" starts if it would allow. They were sent out from my home warranty company (AHS). The service guy that came out would have been hard pressed to seem less interested. He came in took a few pics of the refrigerator with the door closed and open showing the ice maker, which is why they were called. He informed me that he would turn the work order in to order parts, that I would need to empty the refrigerator and let it thaw for at least two days so it would "defrost". This was on a Wednesday. The following Wednesday I had received no response so I called AHS. They said the ticket was "closed" as Accord Appliance told them it wasn't due to normal wear and tear. They reported an "air flow" problem and that the cabinet didn't allow air to circulate which is what caused the unit to fail. I told them that wasn't the issue, it's in a pre-designed cabinet and had worked fine for four years. Air flow was NOT the issue. AHS offered to send another company out for a second opinion but informed me that if they supported the first diagnosis I would have to pay another $100 deductible. I said fine, I know they are wrong. The second company called me to set up an appointment. They came out two days later on Friday. Ironically, he asked if Accord Appliances was the first to come out as he noted getting referrals almost daily for second opinions or to fix work they had done. He arrived, very friendly and literally had it repaired in less than fifteen minutes with no need to order parts. It now works better than any time before. I can only imagine AHS keeps Accord Appliance on retainer as it would cut down on repairs if someone doesn't question their diagnosis. read more

Accord Appliance was dispatched to work on our microwave through our homeowners insurance nearly 4 weeks ago and we still don't have a working microwave. The window is 12pm - 6pm, which is a ridiculously large window of time to sit around and wait for someone. We had to call them back out because the problem was still persisting so they made another appointment. However, the technician didn't even show up for that appointment, he just called to say that they would order a new part. When the part came in, we made ANOTHER (our 3rd) appointment for the tech to come install the part, but when he arrived he inspected the part and noticed it was broken upon delivery (so he says). But he said we didn't need a new part anyway and that the microwave was working fine and 'that's how it's supposed to work'. Now we are on our 4th appointment after I demanded a different technician. Who knows if we'll ever get this fixed...if you have the choice, I would NOT go with Accord Appliance unless you have a lot of time on your hands. read more

Do I have to give them one star?! This is the worst company ever! I've had to use them twice through our insurance. The first was for our washing machine, the technician lied and said he did a diagnostic test and the machine said we washed too heavy bedding in it. Now come on! We washed bed sheets but who doesn't? Needless to say they wouldn't repair it. Last week I had to use them again for our microwave, a piece broke inside the door. I asked if this happens often , the tech said " yes it's an easy fix". He proceeded to remove a part so he could get inside the door. He gets the piece off and said " oh this one is harder than I thought, I have to order the part". I haven't heard from them so we called and found out the tech said the microwave was physically damaged when he arrived, so it's not covered. LIARS!!!! Don't use them!!! read more

I requested microwave and oven repair through American Home Shield (my home warranty company). They sent out Accord Appliance on January 7, 2020. Repairman stated he needed to order parts for both items. He would be back in 7 to 10 days. I called after 2 weeks and was told they had the microwave parts but still waiting on parts for the oven and they expected it to arrive on the 21st. I called back after that date and they said my order was cancelled! I asked why and they could not tell me. They called back and said they have the parts for my microwave and waiting for oven parts and it should be arriving tomorrow (the 24th). I called back on the 26th and they said the order was cancelled!!!! WHAT!!!???? I asked to speak to some one else. She refused to let me talk to anyone saying there was nothing they could do. I hung up. Called back later and was told the part would be arriving that day and they would call me to set appt. I told them if the part for the oven does not arrive I still want them to come and fix the microwave. She said they could not do that. I again asked to speak to supervisor. She said no one else was there to talk to. I called back on the 29th to check on the status and once again I was told the order was cancelled. What the heck is going on!!!!! Once again I asked to speak to supervisor. She refused. I told her I was coming down in person and hung up on her. She called back about 5 minutes later and stated they have the part for the microwave and the part for the oven would arrive tomorrow and they would call me to set appt once oven part has arrived. OMG they have been telling me that every time I call (after they tell me the order has been cancelled) so I have no idea if they really have the microwave parts or not. I called back to my home warranty company (American Home Shield) to tell them the situation and they tried to contact Accord Appliance but could not get through so they sent a "recall" notice to them which issued a new claim #. I have still not heard from them. I called back to American Home Shield and they tried once again to contact Accord Appliance but could not get through to them. American Home Shield sent over yet another email as well as left voice mail message telling them to contact me. Terrible Service. No Service. Still waiting! I think the ONLY reason they are even in business is because of the contract they have with home warranty companies. Every site I look at for reviews about them show they only have 1 star. I purchased a warranty thru GE for my air range hood vent. The first time I needed service was about 7 months ago I called GE and they sent out Accord appliances. Accord send me a text message confirming that they would be at my house that Friday between the hours of 8 and 12 and no one called and no one showed up. I called the cord and they said they would send somebody out the following Tuesday between 8 and 12 and they did the man showed up I paid the deductible and apparently was supposed to fix the hood and it was never fixed properly. I left everything alone for about 5 months we had another major problem the same problem we had with the hood as we did the first time so I called my warranty company and they called Accord again. Accord send me a text message and they said they would be here tomorrow at 8 to 12. They did show up and attempted to make the repairs again, again I came home from work and noticed the problem was still not resolved. I called my warranty company again they sent out a message to me again and said they would be here today which is February 28th 2018 and again they were a no-call no-show. I will never use this company again Accord Appliance for anything they are nothing but a problem they do not call they do not show up and they definitely don't know how to fix appliances. read more

I would like to start off by saying I wish I could give this company ZERO STARS. I have AHS, and yesterday a tech named Chris came out to look at my 9 year old washer and wasn't here very long, told me that I needed a rear transmission replacement, and new barring. I had told him that it constantly gives me a UL code and he went ahead and ran the washer with nothing in it and within a couple of minutes the code popped onto the screen with only water in the washer. He was shocked that it happened with nothing in the washer. He then proceeded to tell me that it was going to be a VERY expensive fix for the parts and it would be up to the home warranty if they wanted to pay for the parts or get a new washing machine. So, a day later my home warranty sends me a DENIAL to fix the washing machine because CHRIS had wrote in the report that " the reason for the issues of the washer was due to the customer overloading the washer" he flat out lied on the report but told me different in person..and never once did he ever mention or ask how much clothes I put into the washing machine and he saw for himself with no clothes in the washing machine that the washer wasn't working properly. If you look on google and read the comments from a month ago, the same company came out and looked at someone body else's washing machine and gave them the same DENIAL saying they "overloaded the washing machine" got those people denied as well. This company is obviously a scam and scamming the home warranty companies for the $100 service fees and then purposely lie on reports to get people denied so they don't have to come back and do the work. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, others should do as well and get these people shut down. read more

Agree with all the other negative responses about this company, in particular with their response by American Home Shield referral. Technician arrived during the allotted time frame, and gave adequate notification. That's exactly where any positive response ends I'm afraid. The technician was called regarding a refrigerator problem, the refrigerator is 4 years old and is located in my garage. It's been in the garage for four years and stopped producing any cold air. An obvious compressor problem right, which was diagnosed by the tech. The tech left, and I was later called by American Home Shield and notified that the tech diagnosed the problem as a failed compressor, but he felt compelled to add the caveat that the compressor failed because the garage was too hot! Of course, this allows American Home Shield to deny any further claim, and allows Accord Appliance to keep the $100 fee for the response, and of course ENSURES they will continue to get the call from American Home Shield to expertly diagnose appliance problems in such a way that claims can "unfortunately" be denied (AHS words). I've called Accord Appliance four times since this occurred and asked for the technician's report, or to have him call me and explain how exactly this diagnosis was made, as I'm unaware of any diagnostic equipment on the refrigerator, or that he carried, that is designed to indicate what the ambient temperature was at the time the compressor failed. Of course, they don't respond and I've had no luck getting the report. My problem was relatively inexpensive as the fridge was not an expensive one, but be very aware that this is obviously the mo for this company and it seems to be unscrupulous. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Twice, in the last 4 weeks, I scheduled repairs with Accord through my Warranty company for 2 different repairs. Both times they said that my repair appointment was not on the schedule. The 1st time, my Warranty Co said that Accord had responded to their request for an appointment with me. I had been given a confirmation number from my Warranty Co. The 2nd time, just today, Jerry at Accord told the rep at my Warranty Company that I had canceled the appointment. Jerry blatantly lied. When, I spoke to Jerry, he gave my name and number to another woman in the office to call me since he couldn't find my repair on their schedule. I write this review after reading other negative reviews on Yelp on this company. I would highly avoid this company. Jerry was also rude to me and the Customer Service Representative. read more
