My home warranty company sent out Accord appliance to repair my fridge back in October. The technician told me that they replaced the compressor, the motor and the control board. Now, 2 weeks ago (5 months later) my fridge broke again. The warranty company sent them out again and the technician told me that the same parts broke as last time. Long story short, the technician lied to either me or the warranty company. I have a text stating what he claimed to replace last time and there is a huge discrepancy between what they told me and what they reported to the warranty company. Now, I have been out of a fridge for 2 weeks and I'm no closer to finding a long term solution. To make the situation more frustrating, the office employees are incredibly short with me and seem to have little to no compassion for my frustration for being without a fridge. If you can avoid working with this company, I recommend it. They have made an awful situation seem more unbearable than I thought possible. read more

Their technicians are nice when they finally get around to coming. I have waited SEVEN weeks for a refrigerator repair. Five weeks after I reported it to AHS it was finally determined to be dead and in need of replacement. I was told two weeks ago that it cannot be fixed but I am told that the report saying this has not been sent to my warranty company. I am not allowed to speak with the manager as he/she only takes emails and there is no answer to the emails I sent. The ladies who answer the telephone at times (long, long wait times) are nice. 0 STARS - On August 10, 2021, I filed a claim for my broken ice maker through my home warranty company. Unfortunately, they contract with Accord Appliance who was assigned to make the repair. It should be noted that through the Better Business Bureau, Accord Appliance has a one-star rating with 36 customer reviews. They also have 21 closed complaints in the last 12 months. Through Yelp, they have a 1.5 star rating with 698 reviews. The same day, I received a prompt response asking to schedule an appointment. I opted to do a video diagnosis to help speed the process, which was done on August 11, 2021. During the process, I was told they needed to order a new ice maker for the refrigerator, and they would notify me when it was in to schedule an appointment. On September 2, 2021, after not hearing back from them, I inquired about the part. I received a response on September 3, 2021 indicating the part arrived and they wanted to schedule an installation appointment on September 7, 2021 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, which I agreed to. This appointment required me to take time off work. At about 11:00, I received a phone call from technician Sean letting me now he would be late. I told him I would have to reschedule. He rearranged his schedule and arrive before noon. Sean removed the ice maker and wasn't there long before he told me he had to order another part and ran out the door. Before leaving, he told me I would be contacted when the additional part arrived. On September 7, 2021, I received a message the additional part was in and they wanted to schedule an appointment. To minimize taking time off work, I opted to schedule the appointment for Saturday, September 18, 2021 between noon and 6:00 pm. The same technician arrived around 11:45 am and he wasn't there long, which seemed odd. When he finished, he left the house quickly and said there was a two-month warranty and if there were any issues to contact them. As expected, the ice maker still did not work. On September 20, 2021, I contacted Accord Appliance to get them to come back out and they told me I needed to contact the home warranty company and have them re-open the ticket since it was closed. On September 23, 2021, the home warranty company re-opened the ticket and told me someone from Accord Appliance would contact me to set up an appointment within 24-48 hours. Of course, that never happened. On September 29, 2021, I contacted Accord Appliance to set up another appointment to get my ice maker fixed. Since I have concerns with their ability to repair the ice maker and to hopefully minimize more time off work, I requested to schedule my appointment to the service manager Jerry. I wanted to explain to Jerry my issues and concerns. I was told Jerry was not there so dispatcher Lily took my name and phone number for him to call me back. Once again, I did not receive a call. On September 30, 2021, I contacted Accord Appliance again in the early afternoon to speak to Jerry. Dispatcher Taylor told me he was not available at the time so I left my name and number again. Later in the day and after not receiving a call from Jerry, I called back and spoke to Taylor again. She placed me on hold and spoke to Jerry. Taylor told me after speaking to Jerry, he would not speak to me and I could direct any complaints to service@accordappliance.com, a general email address. Jerry refused to talk to me on the phone and would not provide his email address. I told Taylor I would be more than happy to speak to Jerry's boss. According to Taylor, Jerry does not have a boss. I asked if he was the owner of the company and she told me he was not. What kind of company has a complaint process that gets squashed on a dispatch level with a service "manager" who refuses to field complaints? I'm sure the owner of the company has no idea this is happening and would not be happy to learn about this. I called back and asked Lily to ask Jerry if he would like to field my call or direct my complain to the Better Business Bureau. Lily came back on the phone and told me the conversation was awkward because Jerry basically said he didn't care what I did. My ice maker is still not fixed and I have been without ice for almost two months. You don't realize how important it is to have a working ice maker until you don't have one. I need this fixed immediately and demand for Accord Appliance to make a specific appointment time (not a window) and on a day that is least impactful for me to take time off work. In addition, I would like to talk to the owner of the company about his coward service manager Jerry who is running the business into the ground. And yes, I have seen Accord Appliance's response to complaints so let's get this out of the way. Yes, I know I am a customer of a home warranty company. I wish I could give a zero star rating. Shady company and shame. on American Home shield for using them, but they have just as many horrible reviews. The water dispenser on our refrigerator works intermittently. it is 9/14/23 and this has been going on since April. They have been to the house 8 times and have replaced random parts only to have the same problem a day or 2 later. When they come back they replace yet something else and the pattern continues. During the last service call they said a plastic piece is missing and now American Home Shield going on 6 months later is saying it's not covered because a part is missing. Was it not missing during theirr prior 7 visits? I, after days of phone calls escalated it and they are sending out another repair company. The manager, Chris refuses to return a call, answer an e-mail nor come to the phone. A real piece of sh_t. I think they give this diagnosis when they no longer want to be bothered with your appliance because of their incompetence. Read the reviews. See a pattern of multiple visits, parts suddenly missing and no resolution? They are hoping you just go away except I am not that person. I have American Home Shield. My washing machine is one year and 3 months old. It started making a loud knocking noise when it was time for the spin cycle. Can't believe this almost brand new machine is already broken, but okay. Scheduled a diagnostic with AHS. Accord Appliance came out. The guy ran it through a spin cycle empty. I told him that there had to be something in there for it to start knocking. He ran it through empty anyway and (of course) nothing happened, so I repeated myself that there had to be a shirt or an item in the machine. Instead of running it through again with something in it so he could see what my concern was, he said it was "probably" the suspension kit. He ordered one. Today, he showed up and replaced the part. Unfortunately, I had to run a quick errand and when I got back he was gone. My husband said they ran it through and it worked. I asked if he ran it with clothes or empty, he said empty. I told them it had to have clothes in it!!! So I run it through a small load (one pair of sweat pants and four shirts). Its knocking even worse now!! Made another appointment for them to come back out, now I have to take time off work to accommodate the next appointment. Why do I have to take time off work? It should've been fixed the first time, but I guess it's kind of hard to fix something you never properly diagnosed in the first place. Tech comes to the house and I find that he needs MY step ladder and MY help to lower the microwave down so he can replace the part. What if I was infirmed and couldn't help? I made initial contact with this company in mid September. The first appointment was canceled without me be notified. Home all day waiting. Called they claimed they called however they did not. They rescheduled appointment. Tech came, I paid 60.00 to have them diagnose. Tons of problems with fridge. However tech says it's a button that's not working when the fridge is closed. Didn't know what that had to do with the entire bottom half of my fridge not cooling nor the electrical coming on, ice maker not working, water not pouring etc. He says he has to order part in order to diagnose the rest of fridge. Company calls me and tells me I have to pay for the part. Reluctantly I pay because I need my fridge to work. They call 4 days later and "tell" me when they were coming out. Didn't ask my availability, rude woman. 2nd appointment, they never show. I have to call again, waiting all day no show. I was informed part was back ordered and it would be there in their hands until 10/27. No one called to tell me it was back ordered and to find if I wanted to wait that long for the part. That would mean then, I would have to wait until November to have my fridge partially fixed (that's if they decided to show). This company failed to do its reasonable diligence. I was never contacted, I was never asked however they kept my money for the service call and they want to charge me a return and restocking fee for a part they don't have in their possession? How can you charge a restocking fee if it's back ordered? How can you charge me anything at this point if you didn't even bother to consult me? This company is horrible. If I there was an option to give less than one star I would. Through our warranty company we were forced to use Accord Appliance to repair our washing machine. The "tech" came out and diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. We waited a week for the "tech" to come back out with the part. On our original appointment day the tech didn't show during our scheduled time. When we called the office we were told that he had been out to our home not once but twice and no one answered the door. I checked my video cameras thinking "did I not hear the doorbell " and no one had shown to my home . Once I called the office I was told that there was nothing they could do and I would need to wait another week for the "tech" to come back out. One week later, the "tech" makes it out to my home again except with the wrong part. Upon leaving he said he said "they shipped the wrong part". The following day I called Accord Appliance for a lead time as to when my washer would be fixed only to hear that my ticket would be closed and I would need to call the home warranty to re-open. The "technician" had closed out my service ticket and said he had fixed the washing machine. When I asked to speak to the manager of course they didn't want to come to the phone. Don't use them - Insanity! I have never had such a difficult experience with a company. I have had several terrible experiences with Accord Appliance. The latest included a complaint I filed with the Attorney General's office as well as the California Consumer Affairs Division and the BBB. Without going into a lot of detail, the company should be avoided at all costs. I sincerely recommend to you to use another company. If you are going through insurance, request another company. I feel that accord failed to submit an accurate report in a timely manner to American Home Shield which prevented AHS from being able to pay to get my dishwasher fixed. They NEVER did as far as I know. Accord Appliance managers refused to speak with me on several occasions to discuss my request that they submit the information to AHS. It took nearly 9 MONTHS before AHS finally agreed to pay for the dishwasher because I had already purchased a replacement. Additionally, I felt that even their employees were frustrated working there because they made comments about how I should be upset and that I probably would never hear back from management (which I never did). American Home Shield sent Accord Appliance to our house when our old dryer finally broke down. The technicians did a great job. They were quick, efficient and professional. The dryer couldn't be fixed and we ended up with a new one. This was a month or so ago. Today they were at our house for a problem with our refrigerator leaking water. The young technician was here less than 5 minutes and told me that a replacement part had to be ordered. The line that dispenses water had become very calcified because of our extremely hard water and became very brittle and broke one day when we were getting a glass of water. It then started leaking intermittently and there is no valve to turn it off. The refrigerator works great except for that issue. I wasn't sure if the part was available because the refrigerator is 25-30 years old. Shortly after the technician left we got a call from American Home Shield saying that the technician reported that the leak was due to abuse of the refrigerator! We are in our late 60's and take very good care of all of our appliances, thus the 25-30 year old refrigerator that works great except for a water leak. So now we have to pay a second service fee for a different company to come out and check the refrigerator. We are now into our third week waiting for an answer on what we are going to do to fix it. We were referred to Accord Appliances by American Home Shield to have our dishwasher repaired. Dealing with Accord was an infuriating experience, both in being limited to speaking to someone taking a call from home to address our needs, to being refused to connect to a manager or the owner. In addition, the technician came out 3 times to address the issues, even though he identified two parts that required replacing - showing up the first time to diagnose the issue and to determine what parts to order, ordering just one part and replacing it, only to tell us it needed the other part, and then once again ordering a third part that he knew we would need. Entire process took more than 6 weeks to complete. In addition, while the dishwasher was out, we asked the technician about why the upper tray kept sliding down, and were told two adjusters on the back needed a slight turn. We asked if he could take a minute and do that, and were told, "I don't get paid to do that"! But the most egregious part of dealing with this company, is that the technician was caught speeding in our HOA doing 30 mph where all streets are clearly posted at 20 mph, and a $50 ticket was issued to us to pay, as we signed in Accord to service our dishwasher. Tried to speak to someone about this many times and nobody at Accord gave a damn about it. They refused to have management call us back, and ignored every request, even after telling them the date we required payment by, and that we would post this information on the Internet if we did not get a satisfactory result. No calls, nobody cared, and as a result, after living in our development for 10 years without a single violation, we are now on notice for the next 24 months that if a contractor we sign in, or we were to get a speeding ticket or have any other type of violation as per the HOA rules, fines would be doubled. The inexperienced technician slowly replaced all working parts over three different visits, using you tube. Still isn't fixed. Trying to get "approval" for a replacement microwave from management; have been waiting on approval for 10+ days. I could have replaced the thing by now by ordering individual parts from Amazon and using you tube myself. It's the principle of the matter at this point. Customer service is absolutely dead. Clearly from my record on Yelp you can see that it takes some pretty extreme measures to pull a one star out of my pocket. So, yeah to Accord for winning that prize. I had the same issue as most other reviewers. I spent over 300 dollars in service calls to not have a working washer. This service call was generated each time through my home warranty company. At one point they did not know I was in the room next to the laundry and over heard them say that something was cracked to which the response was, just put a screw in it. That was their fix and of course it stopped spinning again after the first load. Prior to leaving, I was instructed to not wash too many towels because it would be to heavy. If it was possible to give a zero star I would, this company is by far the worst service vendor I have ever had to deal with. They were my assigned contractor through American Home Shield to fix my built in over. The initial visit went ok, but when they came to install the ordered part I discovered that the repair person had "soft knocked" my front door and left a business card on the matt and took off. When I called (many hours later) to ask where my repair person was I was told that he had already been there. No attempt was made by the repair person to call me despite having two cars parked in the driveway and obvious signs of activity, or even knock more than once. Upon calling their "customer service" I was told that it wasn't the repair person's job to call me and got the impression that they actually expected me to sit on my doorstep and wait for 4 hours. In the end I'm going on week 3 without an over and have to wait another week for them to come out. She then tells me that according to their records, Accord reported I have not been at home for scheduled appts and they gave AHS a list of bogus dates claiming Accord called me ..... I WAS SHOCKED BY ACCORD'S MISCONDUCT!!!! The tech came and supposedly fixed my refrigerator water line and dryer..... Well the dryer only lasted about 1 week before it stopped spinning, worse than before the tech touched it At this point, I just bought a new dryer as I could not even imagine letting this corrupt company back into my home. The company was referred by our home warranty , American Home Shield, to look into our microwave oven. It no longer heat food. Three days later they sent a repairman, Roman, which seem to be competent. He quickly identified the problem, broken magnetron. Said would take 5 to 7 days to order. He returned 13 days later only to find a wrong part was ordered. Someone at the parts dept at his shop goofed. I asked that the reorder be expedited on rush basis. Should have been here by end of this week , the person on phone said it would possibly be here on Saturday. Probably using cheapest shipping method . Scheduled for Tuesday of next week for replacement. More than four weeks was inexcusable. I should have checked Yelp in first place and demanded AHS to find another repair place. I do believe that AHS has been negligent by not identifying this poor service and not terminating their contract with Accord Appliances. Tech did not clean up after himself. Left my garage dirty from where he performed the work. The Company was non-responsive to my initial email almost a week ago. Accord Appliance has absolutely no customer service. It started out good but never heard back regarding the part that was ordered. Tried calling numerous times but no one ever picked up. Had to go through home warranty repair company to contact them. Accord "Appliance kept making up stories like they didn't have a diagnosis for my repair and the 3rd time the warranty contacted them, they said they had called me personally and I had told them I didn't need a repair anymore. I finally had to ask for a new vendor to repair my refrigerator lights. This started at the end of December and I finally my fridge repaired yesterday via a new vendor. Never had I ever dealt with such unprofessional vendor!! read more

They came to my home for a warranty issue. The manufacturer sent them to my home. The technician began to criticize the brand of refrigerator. He than proceeded to come up with 3 different ideas for the issue. Began to remove parts, became frustrated and started to curse repeatedly. After finally leaving and not repairing the issue, I found he did damage. I called the company to let them know of what transpired. They were very rude and said we can't send anyone to your home for 5 days. I requested a more experienced technician come. After waiting for someone to arrive on the scheduled time. NO ONE SHOWED UP! They damaged my refrigerator and have unprofessional employees and no understanding of customer services. Save yourself time, money and aggravation. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. A dispatcher named Rose sent a technician out to diagnose the Ice Maker on our refrigerator. The technician visited us and came to the conclusion that we needed a new ice maker and that Accord Appliances would order the part and reschedule an appointment to replace it. This was July 11, 2022. After not hearing from anyone at Accord Appliance I decided to give them a call to check the status of the part and the presumed repair. This was on July 26, 2022 I again spoke to Rose and she informed me that they would have to reschedule a technician to come out and diagnose the system because no one ordered the part and furthermore she did not believe my refrigerator had an Ice Maker. When I asked to talk to a supervisor she refused and told me to go to the Accord Appliance website and find the tab contact us and type in my issue and somebody would respond to me via email. I informed Rose that was unacceptable and that she sucks and her company is the worst run enterprise I have ever had the misery of dealing with. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE MONKEY POX read more

These guys are horrible. Just bought my house. Washer was making a weird noise so I called my home warranty and they sent out Doug to fix the issue. A week later Doug came back to install the parts. After his 2 hour installation. He told me to run a load of nothing. So I did that and my entire kitchen flooded. After an hour of making phone calls he finally came back and used his shop vac to pick up the water. Well water is everywhere and he says he's all done gets in his car and leave. I called Chris at Accord and he apologized. not much more to offer. Save yourself time and frustration. Use a reputable company. This is simply in unacceptable. read more
