Mike Tierney performed a home inspection for a single family home I have in escrow in San Diego. He's located in North S.D. County, nonetheless he showed up early and was already working by the time I arrived. All items interest were plainly explained and Mike answered every one of my many questions as we moved throughout the property. The property has a pool and jacuzzi, Mike took extra time to identify items and walk me through the basics at no extra charge. He also made great suggestions on items I want to upgrade down the road. After the entire property had been covered, he summarized the items of interest and explained everything with my agent and me. Okay so a year ago, I would have come on here and given a 5 star. Until I realized my house was held together by duct tape and was wondering what they did the whole time they were "inspecting." Within the last year of owning my home I have had to replace 2 walls due to leaks into sliding doors that were not properly installed to code. Whatever, easy miss.. until... My water heater recently went out, when going through home warranty the plumber assigned to my house let me know that my water heater was never installed to code. Upon further research, as CA codes update every 3 years, the code we are referring to went into effect in 2016, my water heater was installed in 2017. This should have been caught in the 2020 home inspection, correct? I have had multiple other opinions on the integrity of this house and the inspection that was done on it one year ago, most people say, "it is not worth your time and energy to dispute." (Some have also had to deal with Accurate home inspection before) So..do yourself a favor, save YOUR time, energy and money and get an inspection elsewhere. read more

My husband and I are currently in the process of buying our first home together and one of the first steps in escrow is to have your home inspected. After doing some research, I came across the website AccurateHomeInspection.net. The first two sentences on their website sat very well with me, they were " we take a personal interest in your investment" and "Family owned and operated since 1998".
