I had my Evoque in for repair and they broke my windshield so I had to wait a week to replace it. I wouldn't have written this poor review except recently I saw a roach come out of the dash. They had left my front windows open and not covered the front windshield area left exposed for a week. Also they left oily parts on the front leather seats. Also no hood cover to protect from scratches. They should treat these cars like its their own and really use common sense. Update: Thanks Calvin for your response. Alas, i was staring straight on to a minor chip in my windshield seriously no bigger then a ladybug..i ignored it for monthsssssss. After my car got a windshield crack due to falling or flying piece of rock, I went to Ace Auto Glass for a quote, they were very accomodating, I didn't even have to make an appointment. Quote process was quick. I kind of knew cost would be less than my $500 deductible so I was looking for the best quality for the least cost and Ace did not disappoint. Went to Ace auto Glass years ago to fill a chip in my windshield. Fast forward 5 years and I'm replacing my windshield tint. The tint guys were weary about the crack and a small hairline fracture coming out of it and thought I should have an expert look at it to see if it is okay. Took my baby down to have them look at it. The guys took me without and appointment to inspect it and ended up reassuring me that it is filled. Wow, terrible customer service. I've been trying to reach the Hilo office for a month now. Left 5 voice messages. Started to try to call other branches, only to speak to people like Amber, who was very unprofessional and essentially took no responsibility or care in trying to be helpful. Not sure this business is truly in business when you call their number during business hours and no one picks up. Try it yourself, just call Hilo at 808-935-4002. Try any extension, 1 for sales, 2 or 3 for accounts payable and receivable. No one will answer. Apparently there is someone named Jennifer who is the manager, the sales person, the HR person. Must be so busy that she never answers the phone or responds to voice messages. I love to support local businesses, but this is truly testing my reasonable patience. I am someone who looks at yelp before I go anywhere, restaurants, retail stores, banks, you name it. But in my four years of yelping I have never left a review. I can say it was because of a lot of different reasons but the main one is me being too lazy. Anyway, I couldn't do the injustice of not writing a review after my experience at ace auto glass repair. Some loser druggy smashed my rear passenger window when I was house sitting my Auntys house and stole my my work bag which had only my name tag in it (so I had to wear a makeshift one which was really embarrassing btw). So I called up a bunch of different places I found on yelp to get quotes. After about three different places giving me similar quotes, I got in touch with Karen at ace. She is the sweetest lady I have ever met and talked to. Not only did she give me a quote $100 less than every other place, she told me it would take only 2 hours, in and out. I've never been quoted a price over the phone and it be the same amount after I have my service done. But ace actually took off like ten bucks. And they finished in one hour, vacuumed all the glass in my car, and did a perfect job with the window replacement. I talked to Karen for like ten minutes after asking her if I could adopt her as my grandma (she is seriously the coolest). I think yelp should give bonus stars to it's users, like one or two only that people can give to a place or two that blew their mind away. If I had a bonus star, ace auto glass would have it...no doubt. read more

Ace Auto Glass exemplifies quality auto glass repair as well as excellent customer service. I fell victim to a back passenger window smash-and-grab over the weekend. I guess the culprit must have been an adamant book lover, because that is all that was in the bag that he\she stole. In any event, Ace was able to get me in the very next morning. They gave me a ride to work after I dropped off my car AND came back to pick me up once it was done. Best of all, their prices are VERY competitive. I own a BMW 3x and I noticed that the front window, along the bottom of the window the molding was cracking and was so bad that on the side of the windows the old molding has fallen out and exposed a large gap between the window and the car. I first called BMW and asked how much the service was going to cost and they said it was quite costly. I went to ACE and asked them and was quoted $75. I purchased the parts from BMW and made an appointment to have it installed at ACE. I dropped the car off at noon and by 115 I recieved a call saying it was completed. The finally cost of the whole evolution was $68.60!! under estitmate!! Thank you ACE for saving me $500 or more!! Great staff and you will have a quality product when finished. read more

My car got broken into on the passenger side a couple months ago and I got a couple quotes. Ace auto glass was the cheapest by a couple bucks. It was also one of the only places that had the window for my specific car already available. When I called to see if I could make an appointment, they were able to fit me in that day. Drove over with a garbage bag covering my door and drove back home with a beautiful new window! The appointment took about an hour (they said it would take 2 at most) so I was VERY happy with the efficiency. The staff were very nice and friendly and was glad everything got fixed right away so that I could spend the next day replacing all the other stuff that got stolen. Much to my dismay, I discovered that somehow, my windshield had gotten a long diagonal crack in it overnight. I called my agent and he contacted Lexus about getting the windshield replaced. Lexus told him the they do not replace windshields and recommended Ace Auto Glass. Shortly after hearing back from my agent, I received a telephone call from Karen at Ace. She told me that she had placed an order for all the parts needed for my repair and that it would only take about half a day to complete. This business is located behind Jack in the Box that sits on Kapiolani and Ward. Once you pass Jack in the Box, there will be a street on your right hand side, turn here and you have arrived. The workers here are very courteous and dedicated in assisting their customers. I went in to replace my mirror and thought something went awry when I was unable to adjust the height. I ended up taking it in the next day and the worker was patient in explaining the different components of my mirror and that a certain part has become "frozen." He added WD40 which helped tremendously as well as cleaned up the WD40 that got onto the car and mirror. Overall, superb service! read more

Car was broken into Thursday (Turkey Day), and since nothing was open, had to wait until Friday to call. Called at 8am, scheduled for the same day at 10, and was out of there by 12pm! And only because I added an addl repair when I got to the shop (a window that had a bad motor). Not only were they quick, they were sooooo nice, extremely helpful, and affordable! I paid for both my window, other miscellaneous repair AND labor all for less than what my deductible would have been via insurance. Ace Glass is the best, hands down. They are super accommodating, friendly, and best of all, competent. I had my front windshield replaced a few months ago and they did a great job; squeezed me in when they were busy and completed everything in half a day. Yesterday my back door got stuck in the locked position. Which might be ok except it was open. I had to tie it shut to drive. Thinking something had snapped inside the door, I had a weird intuition to call Ace. Jay, the friendly shop manager, told me to come in and he'd look at it, even though this is not their business. He figured out right away the trick to reset the lock and even showed me the child protection thing I didn't know about.
