My friend and I came to Ace King BBQ when they first opened because we were looking for a new spot for skewers ever since spots sadly keep closing down. Ace King BBQ is not located in the best kept plaza and is right next to the original Jinya. The interior is pretty clean and ambience with the lighting reminds me of Chinese karaoke spots. It's not very spacious, so you'll find that you sit pretty close to tables surrounding you. However, the chairs are very comfortable. This is one of the many places that have adopted a QR menu where you order on your phone as well. Options are plenty with the meats, seafood, and vegetables! But not much when it comes to the drinks. There's only a few cocktail options but plenty of beer. We ordered a few selections from each section and honestly, there isn't really much to say. Everything tasted the same since the same seasoning is used on every skewer. Nothing is out of the ordinary or special, so you already know how everything will taste but just depends on what vessel you want to eat the seasoning with. However, I do find it very unnecessary and strange that their "warmer" is just a bunch of normal candles (not sure if it's food safe) that go out and does not generate enough heat to really keep anything warm. The BBQ enoki mushrooms probably tasted the best but after a while you just feel sick from it because it's just sitting in oil. I'm not too sure, but it seemed like all their skewers are served with the same spicy seasoning. Two of our friends don't usually eat spicy food, but they were still able to enjoy them. For our next round, we asked for no spice. We tried the tendon, heart, cartilage, kidney (chicken and lamb), squid, chicken skin, and crispy pork belly. We got to check out Ace King BBQ earlier this month. They took over the Indian spot that was there before. We arrived at opening, which was 5 pm since we had a large party of 10. This is what we mostly tried: * Shredded Potato Salad $8.99 - This is a sweet and sour dish and it's really flavorful. We would definitely order it again. * BBQ Lamb Skewers $4.99/2 - This skewer was the favorite of all the skewers we ordered. * BBQ Beef Tendon Skewer $2.99 * BBQ Chicken Feet Skewer $2.49/2 * BBQ Beef Tongue Skewer $3.99 * BBQ Beef Tendon Skewer $2.99 * BBQ Beef Skewers $4.99/2 * BBQ Beef Throat Skewer $2.49 - This one was a new one for us as we haven't seen in offered elsewhere. * BBQ Tofu Skin Skewer $2.99/10 * Finger Beef with Butter and Garlic $18.99 - The garlic was the best part about this dish. Some of the beef cubes were a bit tough. * Exploding Rice Cake $9.99 - Be careful as the inside molten brown sugar will burn your tongue off. But once you let it cool a little, it's a really yummy dessert. We would order this again. We had a few hits and quite a few misses. Many of the skewers were dried out and tough. A bit hard to eat for quite a few. There was also some major inconsistencies with timing of food. Our party of four received most of our dishes really quickly, but the rest of the group was waiting a good while for their skewers. The warming tray uses a couple of tealights, and depending on how much wick is exposed, it doesn't really keep your skewers warm much. We did have a few that we really liked and would come back just for those items - the lamb skewers, the potato salad, the beef throat, and the exploding rice cakes mainly. We would be open to trying some of their non-skewer dishes though. One thing I really appreciated was that they allowed us to have individual checks since we had four different parties. It was pretty seemless since we each ordered under our own QR code, so there was no mixup of that portion. The fun part was getting to spin the wheel and seeing what prizes we each got. New Place, New Place!! When this restaurant first popped up on my page, I thought is one of those Chinese BBQ, like Roast Pork, Roast Duck place, but is not, is like one of those real BBQ place. I went on Feb 14, Valentines night, the place was packed, I turned around, went back the next night. This type of restaurant I'm counting is like 4th of them here in Vegas, the place is small, so is easy to fill up, I'm estimated maybe 30-40 seating, but when is full, the place will look packed. I ordered the noodles, which is delicious and also few chicken wings, beef, lamb on the sticks, I took pictures for all of you, all are very good. Now because of their soft opening, you get multi gifts, like discount for next time, stuff like that. Vengeance in mind and two other Asian poker buds at the table: -- Chicken heart - mineral but well seasoned. Moist and delish. -- Chicken gizzard - crunchy but again well seasoned. -- Chicken skin - OK. Came in at 7:30 PM on a Friday night and we (2) were seated immediately. Seating area is quite small, so during busy hours I do think there would be a wait. You order and view the menu on your phone by scanning the QR code located on the table. We ordered lamb skewers, tofu skin, corn, grilled oysters, squid, hot and sour noodles. Portion sizing was ok, and pricing comparable enough to other skewer restaurants in town. Flavors for all skewers were very similar to each other, lamb skewers were quite fatty, tofu skin were nicely flavored and spicy but very small and just squares (wish they were longer strands instead), grilled oysters were topped with a ton of garlic and still had some sand in a few of them, squid was grilled nicely and chewy (my favorite from our order), and hot and sour noodles were nice and flavorful but not as spicy as I had expected. Food alone I would have given 3 stars, but we had a stomachache and diarrhea almost immediately after returning home. That day I had only eaten fresh food I had made at home. I am quite cautious about accusing restaurants of serving bad food especially new ones, but I do encourage you to be cautious when dining here. read more

Came here for a takeout, no discrepancies between races for myself but waited over 1 hr ordered at 1:03 didn't get my food till 2:00am for a takeout order while seeing people who are Asian get served before me who waited 30 min prior to people being seated. I would say it primarily dominated by a race; I will not be coming here again after this wait time and how seeing people get treated from different races before a takeout order who ordered 1 hr before others who just got seated. some of the BEST service i've ever had! my family and i went on a late friday night, and they've never had chinese-style skewers. our server happily showed us how to order and the different selections, and everything came out super quickly. there's a small heating plate on your table to keep the skewers warm while eating, with most of the tables having booth style seating. i think my only wish was that there was a wider selection of food, but it was all delicious regardless. will be coming back on another late night! read more
