Soyo is a Korean staple in Las Vegas with multiple locations around the city. I routinely go to the one in SoHi but wanted to get out of the neighborhood and landed at the S Rainbow location. Specifically wanted Bossam which is a pork belly dish that I believe is steamed or boiled then sliced. It's eaten in a wrap style with lettuce or cabbage, a radish Kim chi, rice, and raw garlic and jalapeno. I love the sauces or dips you use also, it's one of my favorite Korean dishes. We love their menu and also got bibimbap, fried chicken, a beef soup, and a soft tofu soup. Overall I really enjoyed everything, prices were fair, portions are large. I think it's a pretty solid Korean spot but there are for sure more "authentic" korean spots but I love Soyo. My only complaint was it was hot in there. Service was fine.

Solid Korean food here! Parking was easy on a weekday night. I definitely recommend their fried chicken, spicy stir-fry large intestine with fried rice, and their seafood pancake! The bo ssam was average, but the spicy pickled veggies that came with it were really good.

We keep coming back to Soyo again and again as it's still a great place for some classic Korean food even late into the night! The ambiance hasn't changed much - it's still pretty rustic inside. Try for one of the booths along the back wall. These are much more comfortable then the tables where you have to sit on a somewhat uncomfortable bench with no back. On our recent visit we found they had added electronic ordering tablets at the tables. These are convenient, but there are no descriptions of the items and no way to customize the items. For example, we know from experience that the "army stew" contains cheese which we ask to leave out. However, if you were unaware of this there is no way for you to know since neither the printed menu nor tablet describe each dish. We had to ask the waiter to leave off the cheese before we submitted the order on the tablet. We had the lychee cocktail which actually is served in a large bottle from which you can get quite a few servings. It's not terribly strong, but it is tasty. We also enjoyed the kimchi pancake which had a wonderful crispy exterior and a tasty and fluffy interior. The LA Kalbi is always good, but this time it wasn't served sizzling like it usually is. It also seemed like a slightly smaller portion than in the past. It was still tasty, though. And of course we love the "army stew" which has a flavorful and spicy broth with hearty inclusions like hot dog pieces, spam, and tofu. Great for a cold night! We still really enjoy Soyo for Korean "comfort food!"

We have been here twice and both times the food came out super slow (30+ min even though it's not busy) but the food is really worth it. The cold chewy noodles are really yummy with a nice sesame/nutty/sweet/spicy balance, and the chicken wings are my favorite! The grilled spicy chicken and pork soft tofu soups are better than any other Korean restaurant. The dukbokki is standard. Love their complimentary cold barley tea. Hope they can figure out how to serve their food out faster - I almost feel like it's only one person preparing everything. Ordering is via tablet!

Soyo is one of our absolute go-to spots! The food is always fire! The service is consistently great, and that's why we keep coming back. The energy of the place perfectly matches the bold, flavorful dishes. The servers are super friendly and attentive--extra napkins before I even ask (it's the little things). Everything on the menu is delicious, but our faves are the Tofu Soup Veggie, Galbi, and Jiol Myun (cold spicy noodles). The Jiol Myun with the banchan cucumbers is the perfect cool-down, and the complimentary barley tea is such a nice touch. And yes... order the fries. Trust me. Don't sleep on them. Easy 10/10, highly recommend!

I'm here for the free drink lol jk I loved the food and the service was fast and really nice

Bad tofu
Ling L.

The tofu had gone bad and smelled, but the server insisted it was fresh and had no odor. The thick slice is bad--it's not from the same batch as the thin one. I wasn't even angry, but the server got angry first.

We haven't been here in such a long time, and decided to give it another try since our favorite server Cam left for another restaurant. Right away, we noticed they now have electronic tablets attached to the tables, which was new to us. We were seated, handed menus, and no one mentioned that all orders had to be placed through the tablets. I tried to get someone's attention to ask about switching the noodles in my soup, since that option wasn't available on the tablet. It took a while before anyone came over, and when they did, the staff member (who seemed very new) told me there would be an upcharge. I asked to speak with someone else because I was simply swapping the noodles that already came with my soup. Eventually, it got sorted out, and I was able to get ramen noodles in my rose soup. Unfortunately, the timing was all over the place. It took about 35 minutes for our corn cheese to come out which we ordered first, 15 minutes after that for my rose soup, and my boyfriend's kimchi pork stew didn't arrive until 45 minutes later -- and there were only about five tables seated around 11 p.m. The only thing we kept hearing was "sorry," and nothing was offered to make up for the wait. About 45 minutes later, someone came up to say, "Hey guys, last call -- anything else for you?" and we said, "We're still waiting on the kimchi pork stew." I asked to speak to a manager who said they had a large to-go order, and when I asked if he could take the stew off the bill, he hesitated but eventually did. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We really missed how great the service used to be when Cam worked here, but tonight just felt unorganized and frustrating. Definitely not the experience we remembered.

It's been years since my last visit. Glad we stopped by at this location. It was very late at night and I wanted Korean Kimchi Soup. You don't get too much interaction with the servers. When you're seated they give you your water, ban chan and you place your order on the tablet. Food: Kimchi Stew with pork Steamed Dumplings The stew is the best I've ever had. The flavor was a bit sweet and it was perfect in spice. A lot of pork meat. The ban chan was also delicious. Overall, great spot and I'll return again.

Soyo Special BBQ Steak
Hee K.

Was seriously craving some Korean food, so I ordered the Soyo Special BBQ Steak (marinated beef sirloin with Korean-style salad) and a Yogurt Slush on Uber. Now, I come from a place where good Korean food is aplenty, so my standards are pretty high, but I was pleasantly surprised! The meat was tender and already sliced into little bite-sized pieces, making it super easy to eat in my hotel room. The rice was cooked just right, the banchan were all tasty and fresh, and the portion was generous for the price. The only constructive feedback I'd offer is that it might be a good idea to provide the salad dressing separately, so the veggies stay fresh through delivery and the customer can control how much dressing they use; I found the salad a bit salty :(

GREAT Korean vibes at Soyo Korean Barstaurant. We LOVED the pan fried dumplings, short rib soup, Bohae black raspberry wine, and the Korean wine! Service was great and all of the sides brought to the table like kimchi, macaroni salad, cucumber salad, and so much more were all an added touch and super yummy! They opened in 2010 and they are in the southwest side of town, stop by and give them a try!

방금 신규 DO NOT COME HERE! Got food to go and we opened it once we got home. There was a long piece of hair in the food. Which I know can happen. We called to let them know and was willing to drive all the way back to have it remade. It was still in its package untouched. They denied saying there is nothing we can do! And it came off as so what if there hair in your food? Requested to talk to the manager and the server told us he is saying the same thing. Basically telling us too bad there's hair in your food. I go back in and now they're saying the manager is in Korea? When literally 15 minutes ago she said the manager was next to her and told the same thing. Never have I seen a "restaurant " do this. We will not be back!

Brian I.

Soyo is definitely one of the best Korean restaurants located in the south west. They're open late and provide a great variety of Korean food and drinks. Common go to dishes I'd suggest is bossam, samgyupsal if you want anything pork. Any of the Korean fried chickens will be good you just have to pick a flavor you like. They have a variety of options from traditional Korean Soups to simple Korean fried chicken. This is a great place to come to with a group of friends as they can both accomodate large groups inside and outside. I've come here for quite a while and have seen the menu change quite a bit, but either way this is still a great place to eat and drink. The service is always good whenever I come here. I even haven't came for a few months and they still recognized me. Definitely a must try whenever you have the oppportunity.

Ask the Community - Soyo Korean Barstaurant

Does this barstaurant take reservations? I am trying to schedule a corporate luncheon for 12+ people.

Yes, you definitely need to contact the restaurant directly, to make sure you have a reservation.

Do they serve chicken feet?

I don't recall/believe they do, I don't remember seeing that on the menu. Closest thing would maybe be grilled chicken gizzard. The offerings here are more korean and I thought chicken feet is more of a chinese thing but I could be wrong

Are you guys open for curbside pick up?

Yes

Is there any lunch combos here? If so what time?

There were not lunch combos offered when I went in for lunch...

Is there happy hour for drinks?

We just called and they "don't have a happy hour. Period." :( dangit

The sides were also better than expected. The potato salad was especially good, and the mashed potatoes had a lot of flavor and paired well with the meats. My only disappointment was the smoke profile. I was hoping for a stronger smoke presence across the meats, and they definitely benefited from the sauces. Thankfully, the sauces were excellent, especially the mustard-based sauce, which added a great tangy kick and complemented the BBQ perfectly. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. The quality was there, the flavors were good, and it's a strong BBQ option in a city where great barbecue can be hard to find.

The pork ribs are wonderfully juicy and packed with deep flavor, pairing nicely with the complimentary sweet BBQ sauce even though they do not strictly need it. Unlike most places where the pulled pork dries out, this one stays remarkably moist and savory throughout. Chili (4/5): A very unique side that is much thinner and more watery than a traditional chili, holding a texture closer to a thin spaghetti sauce. Despite the looser consistency, it is absolutely packed with a variety of delicious smoked meats in every single bite. Mac and Cheese (5/5): An exceptional side dish and a clear favorite of the meal. It's incredibly rich, creamy, and distinctively flavored with sharp cheddar, which gives it a much bolder and more satisfying punch than standard restaurant mac and cheese. Corn Bread (5/5): This side functions almost like a dessert, boasting an incredibly sweet, vanilla cake like taste. The high level of sweetness provides a nice contrast to the intense salt, smoke, and savory flavors of the massive meat plate. Logistics Tip: Parking is limited but manageable between the two adjacent lots, and there is a clean restroom on site. To help beat the intense heat, they generously provide complimentary bottles of ice cold water. Keep in mind that they hosted live music on the late Saturday morning that we went. While it adds a fun, energetic backyard vibe, it can get incredibly loud and makes chatting with friends difficult, so you may want to bring ear protection or plan your arrival time accordingly.

Brisket is really good but a little dry in the mouth. Great Smoky flavor. The mouth-feel was just a little off. It was a little dry, but not bad. The pulled pork was wonderful. Nice Smoky flavor. Nice and tender and juicy. Felt great to chew in my mouth and did not feel dry. A+ for the Pork. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing. Really well done. Flavor was great texture was great. Just a little kick, which was great. I always wish there was more kick, but I understand you got a cater to your customers. One thing I was kind of concerned about was the temperature of the coleslaw. It should be really cold, but it was just kind of a little bit of above lukewarm, but not really cold. Coleslaw should be cold. The mac & cheese was pretty good. Needs a little bit more liquid in it but the flavor was awesome. And it looks like they prepackage the Mac 'n cheese in containers and then sprinkle some cheese on top. That's a nice touch, but it makes the whole container of mac & cheese dry out. They only have one barbecue sauce. It was pretty good. But to me the best way to judge barbecue is if it doesn't eat barbecue sauce. And this did not need barbecue sauce. It was just a nice addition.
