We stumbled upon Acme Burger and decided to give it a try after looking at their pictures on Yelp. I got the Original Acme Burger and my boyfriend got the Fried Chicken Burger while sharing their Cajun Fries. Everything was cooked PERFECTLY!! The latest was a wedge salad came with no dressing and a burger in lettuce wrap with no cheese that we paid extra for, not to mention the extra pickle request that was ignored. Honestly Not my favorite burger spot in the area. The first time I came I got a double burger and it came out raw. I sent it back and they re-made it no problem. It was messy and fell apart about halfway thru. Second attempt got a crispy chicken sandwich I'd give it 3.5 out of 5. Needed some more flavor or maybe some spice? The fries are good however that's not why I wanted to like this place people seem to rave about it but I can't figure out why? Third and probably final attempt, I got a single acme burger with the Sonoma mountain beef just the way it comes, thinking it would be less sloppy then the double well I was wrong. It was possibly more messy and greasy then I remember the double being. Also I bit into a huge piece of gristly unground something which really put me off and I couldn't finish the burger. I've been to Acme at least 3 or 4 times since they've opened. Each time I've enjoyed the meals there. Only various burgers so far but each one has been cooked to order, juicy and what you would expect from the reviews. They are a great addition to those who crave a good burger in Sonoma County. The restaurant has a good vibe inside, might not be great for everyone (family style, picnic table seating inside) but there are smaller tables outside and elsewhere (pre COVID I believe). My only knock was the milkshake is aight for the price and the beer selection could be improved (but that's the snob in me) especially based on the price. I get margins are tough but I'm not going to pay $7 or $8 for a Racer 5. But at a place like this, if you want quality you're going to pay for it. Just the way it is. On my last visit I had to take the food to go. So from Cotati to Santa Rosa the milkshake didn't last (not surprised but it was for my 2 year old so he loved it all the same). But when I got the burger and tots out they were still really warm and almost felt like I had just ordered it despite the probably 10+ minute drive home on a Saturday. Awesome sauce is a nice dipping sauce for tots or fries! I will say reading some negative reviews during COVID-19 pandemic is unfortunate, but you have to remember these people are doing the best they can in the circumstances, so maybe cut them a little bit of slack right now? read more

I have come here twice now and after the second time, I am beyond grossed out. Both times I ordered to go, as I don't typically eat in anymore. So this review is specially for the quality of their food. The first time I wasn't happy with my burger, because they forgot to add the sauces I asked for. I mean whatever on this. They forgot. I can deal with a dry burger the first go around. The second time I ordered a burger from them is where I draw the line. I was half way through my burger when I pull out of my mouth the biggest wad of hair that had been cook into my burger patty. I am literally gagging as I write this!! I have never experienced anything like this in my life! Like I have had the occasional single thread of hair in my food before, where I just pull it out and continue eating. BUT, this was a legit wad. Since I ordered for delivery, I figured there was no point in complaining because I was not leaving my house to rectify it. The place is definitely modern and somewhat of a upscale feel without the upscale price. They have lots of food options and well as different beers to choice from as well and TV's mounted to watch the big games if your there on the weekends. Milkshakes weren't very good. Seemed like shaved ice, milk and ice cream at best. Onion rings weren't good but their house made ranch wasn't very good. But props for being housemade. Still appreciate the work put into it. The place is actually really nice on the inside. Much bigger than I expected. Two nice sized TVs playing baseball (oh how I miss baseball). I could see this place being a nice play during non-pandemic times to watch some games while eating burgers. The woman at the front was really nice, which is why they got a third star. Great burgers! This is a burger spot where they do rock cod, tuna, beef burger, grilled chk, fried chk, pork belly and even impossible burger. I love this spot and it is conveniently right next to Oliver's in cotati. You pretty much build your own burgers, they have tots fries and onion rings, all of which are perfectly crispy. My go to is the grilled chk sandwich with grilled onions, it's simply firm but succulent breast with grill marks, no too charred, I typically can't finish it in one sitting cause it's a full breast. I can tell they at least quick brine it cause the moisture retention is spot on and the old bay is a nice touch ! The prices are decent, beer selection is excellent and service is awesome! read more

Even with no electricity, Acme Burger was open for business. The kitchen was able to get burgers and fries out to the customers. The owner managed to get a bag of ice for the drinks. No turkey burgers as Willie Bird couldn't grind their turkey meat. No cod available either for the fish sandwich, but again the owner planned to go to Costco later to buy some. Okay, so I have eaten here like six times before and it has always been pretty good. Until tonight. If I was going to complain about anything prior to tonight, it would be that their beef patties are always on the small side. I can live with that, because they were alwaays perfectly cooked. Tonight I decided to order a special. The pulled pork burger with slaw and a side of onion rings. They were busy for a Friday night, but the dining room was not completely slammed. After 15 minutes or so, my name hadn't been called (sitting up in the front) so I headed to the back where you pick up your orders. What an eye opener! My impression is that this place prioritizes their orders in the following sequence: Uber Eats/Food Jets first, other to-go orders second, and in-house customers last. I stood their for 10 minutes watching them feed delivery driver after delivery driver with to-go orders. I finally spoke up and said it had been 25 minutes sine I ordered, so where is my food? "Coming right up", I was told. One minute later I had my order. I sat down and picked up my pulled pork burger. The first thing I noticed was the grease pouring our of the bottom, like I was pouring cooking oil into a skillet. Gross! I took a bite. No seasoning. Just oily, tasteless slop. And my onion rings? Cold. Not warm, cold. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is the friendliness of the counter staff and the beer. All else, epic fail. A trip further down E CotatI Ave tonight would have gotten me a cheaper, better quality meal and faster service. From McDonalds. Very disappointed. Don't know if I will go back! So our customer gave us money to buy lunch. We found this place by accident. But it was a great accident. We had about a 15 person order. My boss picked up the food and said the service was great. Now let's get to the food. I had an Acme Double burger (like $8.75)with blue cheese ($.50) and bacon ($1.50). The burger was seasoned perfectly, the bacon was thick and plentiful and the blue cheese was not overpowering. My coworker had the tuna and said it was amazing and he will get it again. Another coworker had the chicken sandwich and loved it. The anthem around the office was "how did it take us this long to find this place." We will be going back. I've been contemplating this review since my fiancé and I love this place and have come here for two years but I can't find it in myself to let this slide. This place is at the top of our list when we have our occasional cravings. We Doordashed dinner tonight in celebration of my birthday. We were so hungry I was about half way into my burger when I looked down and realized the meat was RAW! When my fiancé saw my reaction spitting it out, he realized his was raw as well. If it weren't for all the additional toppings we got, we would've noticed much sooner but YIKES! How can a mistake this big be made? The deeper the meat, the colder it was and completely pink. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my steaks bloody and but this was so disturbing it completely turned our stomaches from giving another chance at a different meal from somewhere else. It was really sad and unfortunate this happened today. The outside of the burger looked cooked but inside was almost like the cook didn't let it grill AT ALL. It made me sick to my stomach to know that I literally ingested raw meat. It was so disgusting that it has currently turned me off on all meat in general and coming from a big time meat eater, that says a lot. The fries were cold too so the whole meal for both of us was just straight trash. In complete honesty, if it weren't for the super sweet and accommodating manager (I think he said his name was Addison? Sorry if I'm wrong) it'd give this 0 stars and I wouldn't have been as polite as I thought I was over the phone with him. He advised me to call DoorDash for my refund and offered to send me a gift card.
