This place only cares about money, and they will kill your pet! Dr. Livingston talked me out of taking my dog to the emergency room, and then died. They aided in his death by the way they handled him. They had him for two days, where they neglected him. If you love your pet, take it anywhere but this place

Yeti is very excited for his first vet appointment!

After moving to the Ina/Thornydale area, I went to PACC and adopted a gorgeous German Shepherd now named Loki. He's a special guy from a neglect case and was very underweight when I got him. PACC recommended Dr. Livingston and Acoma not only because they are close to me (me previous vet is way on the other side of town) but because they've worked with them before. PACC gave me a free vet check up certificate that Dr. Livingston and his clinic honored. This saved me the $50 examination fee. What I loved when I brought Loki in was that the front desk staff immediately greeted us. They were warm and caring. When we met Dr. Livingston he was very nice to Loki -- who we have learned is afraid/untrusting of men. Dr. Livingston said for the shots we would put a muzzle on Loki just to be safe. But after a bit of time, checking his temp, etc., Loki ended up relaxing. It was great that Dr. Livingston took the time to help Loki relax. It turns out Loki was infested with worms, so it was great they recommend a fecal exam as I wouldn't have considered it at the time. So even though I had a "free" check up certificate this vet went above and beyond to actually spend time looking my dog over. He spent lots of time with us and made us feel like part of the family. Of course I paid for shots and stuff, but this vet was spot on about his assumption Loki may be carrying worms. It wasn't something they just randomly decided to do, it was necessary and well worth it! I also recently took in a Great Pyrenees puppy now named Yeti and I instantly knew he'd need to see Dr. Livingston as well. Today we came in and got shots, a fecal exam, and his nails done. Yeti loved it! Dr. Livingston was just as caring, thorough, and explained why he recommended certain shots, explained the shot schedule (setting up three more follow ups is in our future!), and even said the next booster shots would be with a tech--which is nice because we don't need the "exam fee" for that. This is a great vet, staff are lovely, and they really made us feel welcome. They'll now be helping me take care of my pet family. Thanks for being great!

We switched here after our prior vet retired. Our animals are treated like family and given the love and care we were looking for. We are very happy and love all of the staff. Highly recommend them.

They, quite frankly, saved our puppy and we love them. They went above and beyond and treated us like they cared... because they do care.

I really dislike this clinic. I had gotten my cat declawed there a few years ago and the nails are growing back.

Their demeanor is very insensitive and callous, which tends to happen when you start to view patients as parts. I took my runt cat in because she was having diarhea. I told the doc we have limited resources. Doctor Adams saw her and suggested that she may have a sensitive stomach or possible IBS, and if the food did not work, she would see if a script would work. I was told by the tech, Gerrick, that I could call and give an update on her condition to get a script. 2 weeks passed and no improvement. I called for the script, and the "office manager" said I have to bring her in, again (another $70). I've spent thousands of dollars with them, and this is the loyalty I get. I have a sick cat, and now I'm out over $100 bucks with nothing to show for it... $70 for a visit, plus the food, and no medical treatment. I want a refund.

I believe she did this because she was not experienced enough to treat them properly. I found error after error. She's an unethical practitioner. She is high strung and very insulting. She takes 100% of your money (she's one of the most expensive vets in Tucson) but offers only 50% or less care. And she does NOT care for her patients nor their families. She refuses to answer questions like dietary needs or tests and procedures that need to be done. She misdiagnosed and mistreated all 3 of my dogs. I would not use Kayla Boyer she is terrible and has really gone downhill over the years. She's nasty and refuses to answer important questions because she lacks capability and knowledge. A different veterinary Dr. Recently, my senior dog had a bit of a health emergency. The young vet was brazenly arrogant, and my entire body felt anxious when dealing with her. She made a threat to report me and have him taken from me if I did not vaccinate him, prior to first checking to make sure he was ok. It was maddening. His immune system was already taxed and he's been rapidly going down hill since. She actually refused to give me any vaccine information and I believe in my soul she actually misled me to the type of vaccine he received. He nearly died a few days later. He was not a candidate. He needed care and attention, and instead was received coldly and cruelly. It was an absolutely disconnected and strange experience. It left my friend and I horrified. This place is a money hustle and their new young vet lacked kindness and empathy. It was a dark experience. We have since found a lovely vet to assist with his recovery, who is cordial and kind... and most of all puts us all at ease. Encanto, you may want to make sure your Vets actually like animals or can at least pretend to care about each animal without bias or judgement: I'd give this place a 0 for medical care, however, the front desk staff has always been kind and accommodating. Suggestion: perhaps don't make threats to a loving pet owner with a senior dog they love with their whole soul, in a crisis. Just start there. Integrity, transparency and decency go a long way in life and business.
