I'm by no means a food snob but I felt like I was on an episode of Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares! Calamari was fried in catfish fry and served with salsa/sour cream, not sure the thought process on that. Mexican salad was more like a poverty mayonnaise throw together. Shrimp and grits were drowned in some sort of brown liquid. Burger wasn't terrible and the fries had Old Bay. Total highway robbery, ended up paying $80 for three half eaten meals. Hilton usually has decent food but this was gross. Beer was cold and staff were nice is the only reason I would give this 1 star and the fact you can't give it lower. read more

What can I say my hidden gem...I have been a regular weekday visitor the staff treats me like I was a Cheer cast member...they serve my Cosmos just the way I like them their happy our plates and wines a good and reasonable. Their Salmon and grilled pork chpo over corn bread is the favorite. read more

Food is ok. The bartender was attentive & polite...no complaints there. My chief complaint is that there are electronic collars on all the liquor bottles (not the wine bottles, only hard alcohol) meaning no free-pouring & weak drinks. I'm Diamond with Hilton & I have been to many Hilton restaurants... this one is to be patronized only because you don't want to venture out. Got stuck at the BWI Hilton during the blizzard of '10 and since the only options within walking distance were a Chili's, a sports bar in the Marriott next door, and Acqua, we decided to give the in-house restaurant a try. We were in on a weekday night and there were only two or three other tables in use when we were arrived. We were seated promptly and our friendly waitress came over, took our order, and brought us water and bread. There were no plates on the table and the typical hotel breakfast table setting of jelly on a tree and packets of sugar was still out, so the place didn't exactly seem raring-to-go for dinner. I decided to pass on eating the bread since I didn't want to palm the roll the whole time. We ordered the oysters appetizer which was poached and served in the shell, topped with pancetta and leeks in sauce. The combination of pancetta and oysters works very well, but the sauce was very sweet and overpowered the other flavors. The oysters were also a bit chewy, but I have never had them poached before, so maybe this is just what happens. For my entree, I had the crispy black bass and my wife had the crab cakes. I was a bit surprised when my bass came, because it wasn't "crispy" whatsoever. It was blackened. I'm not sure why something clearly blackened was given another name, but it worked out fine for me. I was wondering what "crispy" meant, and I was glad to see a thin crust of seasoning instead of a great piece of fish being fried to death or anything. Aside from the deceptive name, there wasn't a thing wrong with the fish. Delicious and light. The portion wasn't huge, but adequate. The bass was served with a vegetable risotto that was awesome, and the piece of braised fennel underneath the fish fillet added a nice, subtle flavor. I tried a bite of my wife's crab cakes and while the piece I ate wasn't covered in remoulade, the sauce was all I could taste. Very sour. It definitely tasted of a sour cream base instead of mayonnaise. My wife did disagree though and loved her crab cakes. The vegetables were minced very finely and there were nice chunks of crab meat throughout, so it did look good if you could get past the funky remoulade. Overall, Acqua was meh. The menu was on the small side (5-7 apps and 6 entrees), but varied enough to provide options. Somewhat disappointing was the fact that most plates were in the $20-25 range, but the only steak available was a $40 rib-eye. I was in the mood for steak, and $40 is an amount I'm willing to pay for a great steak, but I just can't bring myself to order something that's twice as much as the other options. We paid $80 for dinner for two, which I don't mind in theory, but it felt like we paid more for being a captive audience in a hotel than we did for quality. read more

I used to say that I've never had a bad meal at a Hilton. That is now untrue. So overpriced for the quality of food and service that I was shocked. Breakfast buffet included potatoes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and croissants (not fresh) and oven/microwave french toast. Nothing special. And it's $20. The menu: everything is a la carte. I got the pancakes. They were thing-I'm talking a milímetro thick and raw...I'm still trying to figure out that is scientifically possible. Y'all I should have went to the McDonalds down the street and got the pancakes. I would have spent less and been way happier. read more

Crab cakes were awesome! All crab and no fillers,came with a corn relish that was fresh and really complimented it. For a hotel restaurant the food is pretty good. Maryland crab soup was pretty tasty too! read more

Had a delicious grilled salmon and vegetable dish here. In addition, for whatever reason, my meal took a little while to come out, so they apologized profusely and offered me a additional glass of wine. The delay was not even a major issue, but they also brought me a generous sample of a wine that was 50% more expensive than what I originally ordered and gave me a choice! I took the original wine order because the offer was above and beyond! I have been to restaurants where I had to beg for a minor discount after finding insects in my food. Food tasted delicious, but wait times for food are long and food is overpriced (normal for airport hotel I guess?) Limited choices, but fine for a day or two. Weird hours between meals so check with front desk to make sure they are open. Waitstaff was slow but super nice and helpful, especially with our large family and young kids. Portions are large and kids menu is cheap and great for young ages. Didn't do the bar or drinks so can't comment on that. read more

I am staying at the Aloft hotel next door and didn't want to drive so I walked over to the Acqua restaurant at the Hilton. It looks really nice from the outside and at first glance it looks quite chic when you first walk in. I swear it was disgusting when I looked over at the hostess podium and there was a plate of food, a cell phone and it just looked really unprofessional and unsanitary at a restaurant. I also noticed a whole lot of dirty dishes and glasses on the bar that no one has bothered to clear away or at least put them in the back kitchen where it's out of sight of the customers. You'd think if they are trying to portray a classy restaurant that they would know better. Secondly the waitstaff is inexperienced. My waitress came over and just stood there looking at me waiting for me to say something to her first. I ordered a cheeseburger with no onions. She didn't even take my drink order. Whatever. btw the cheeseburger was the cheapest item on the menu at $15.00. There was this asian lady walking around looking very tacky. I can only assume she was the owner? I dunno. But a customer sitting at the next table had asked her for some mustard. The asian lady went up to her and said "excuse me?" The customer asked again for mustard. The asian lady walked over to the customer and knelt down so her head was level with the customer and just starred at her. I looked over and witnessed this very odd behavior as she just starred at the customer for about 7-10 seconds before the customer said once more "can I get some mustard". Then she understood and left to get it. But who does that?? My burger came and of course there were onions in them. The burger is not worth $15.00, it's not even worth $2.00. I ate half and then asked for the bill. The entire time I sat in the restaurant I told myself that if the plate of food was still sitting at the podium that I will take a picture of it and yelp it, but I honestly didn't believe that plate of food would still be there when I left 45 minutes later, but yes it was still there when I left the restaurant and the picture of it is posted. read more

I had a ceasar salad which was very good and a burger which was ok. There was too much bun and not enough choices for toppings. That made it overpriced at $10. read more

Avoid this place. Dinner was a big disappointment. We had a group of ten for dinner. Two of the group didn't get their meals until well after everyone had finished. Everyone found the mashed potatoes to be gluey and under seasoned. The under seasoned steaks were room temperature with no sear. Drink and meal orders were constantly forgotten. The salads were decent, though. When I got drinks, the bartender was quick but poured the wrong alcohol (just a liquor, neat). The lunch waitstaff was unfriendly and inattentive, taking 25 mins to refill hot water, and seemed burdened by the existence of their customers. Coleslaw swam in too much mayonnaise. This gets two stars because the lunch sandwich was good, redeeming the experience a bit. read more

Just visited this place for dinner the other night. The place seemed clean and the atmosphere was okay. It felt very open to the rest of the hotel. The menu was small but not without some variation. I ordered a club with Turkey. It was delicious and tasted very fresh. The wasabi mayo was awesome. My husband ordered the chicken carbonara. The chicken was perfectly cooked and had crispy skin. The pasta was flavorful and creamy. His only complaint was that the bacon tasted like ham and was closer to ham in texture as well. Our waitress was pleasant though admittedly the overall service was a tad slow. Prices could have been better too though portion sizes were acceptable. read more

There is nothing worse than having to wait to be acknowledged when you are only one of six people and you are sitting at the bar. In town for business, I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before getting back to work but unfortunately I was able to knock out a couple of emails on my blackberry before I was even asked what I wanted to drink. Lucky for me emails are time stamped at I was sitting at the bar a full 9 minutes before someone spoke a single word. Needless to say I was ready for a drink, so I ordered a Heavy Seas pale ale. For the entree I went with trout,pancetta,asparagus and red skin potatoes. The dinner was average. The fish wasn't very flavorful and thank god for the pancetta or it would have been downright bland. When my meal was done it took about as long to pay my bill as it did for me to get a drink. Unless you are staying at the Hilton, there are better seasfood restaurants to visit. read more
