Honestly, the workers were polite but they cut me a lot to bleed all over and definitely overcharged me for a regular pedicure and an acrylic set. I paid $98 and added tip for a bad job. I had such an awful experience at this place. The owner demonstrated extremely aggressive behavior and kept yanking my hand every direction. She was not respecting me as a customer, and I had to tell her several times: "Stop pulling and yanking my hand, you are being way to aggressive!I" To top it off it was my 2nd time going back after getting a fill just only 3 days ago. She refused to fix a old nail the first time that had completely lifted. Unfortunately I had to glue it back on until I got time to go to the nail shop. She kept being very argumentative and really felt she was right about everything. She basically was just rambling off at the mouth on the why's what's and how's and simply just would not shut up... Extremely annoying! Never will go back again, just horrible service. That owner is VERY rude and seems a little off balance.... Just a very mean spirited woman overall. read more

Very bad experience. I went for acrylic nails and the lady was so rough and shabby. She used the tools in hasty manner running through my skin around and caused cuts. Later she used her nails so harshly to tuck in the edges that it caused cuts in my skin and I was bleeding in multiple places under the nails and cuticles. By the time I was done, four of my nails were bleeding and other 3 hurting badly. I was almost in tears when I left the place. I am unable to use my hands as almost all my fingers hurt so bad. It will at least take me a week to recover from the injuries. I have never ever in my life endured such a horrible experience in a nail salon. I wish I could give negative rating. read more

Today, 4 of my friends and I went to get our nails done for senior ball. 5 mani's, 2 pedis. This was the first time I went because I heard that they were usually pretty good, but my reviews of this nail salon are very mixed. Location: in a small business area with a couple stores next to it. This center is smacked right in the center of the Livermore sewage plant, so it's not going to smell good. However, the smell goes away eventually. Pedicures: my friends both agreed that the pedicures were worth it. They spend a good amount of time massaging you and the massage chairs were of good quality as well. Additionally, the toe polish was standard. Not good, not bad, exactly what you expected. Manicures: * one of my friends nail polish got wrecked right in the salon. Before they got their regular polish done, the ladies warned that it will be their fault if it gets ruined, most likely wouldn't fix. * I got shellac. They overcharged incredibly, and my square nails look like they are more like "dip-in nails" rather than an elegant square. Gel polish was a bit streaky and bumpy all over. * two friends got French tips that were pretty good, nothing much to say about that, but know that they charge you more for French than solid color (ex. $20 rather than $14) Pros: * cheap (except for mine) * decent work Cons: * so-so location * price varies * nail polish application can be wonky * their work effort varies throughout the day, you'd probably be better off coming first thing in the morning. Overall, it was okay. I'm discontent with my job because I know I can do better for less of a price with a place that has a better reputation. I would've rated this a two. However, for regular manicures and decently good pedicures, it bumps it up to a three. Still, you can find better places all over. read more

I have never made an appointment here, they always take walk-ins even on super busy days. Although if you're the impatient type, I suggest making an appointment. Everyone is very friendly upon greeting and through out your service. I usually come in for a shelac or the occasional full set, and I can be in and out fairly quick. Recently I walked in with an idea for some nail art, and just a few pictures on my phone, and she was able to pull it off perfectly! ( I'm terrible at names but I'll deffinately get it next time) As far as location, it's like a secret hide out that the very few and loyal know about. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Well my morning started out great! The Techs whom did my mani & pedi were fantastic!!! I really enjoyed the massage and was very happy with how my nails turned out! What was not so great: I had a $20 gift cert. the total bill was $30. I didn't have enough cash to tip both Techs - these ladies deserved a great tip!!! I asked for $20 to be charged on my card for balance due & for a portion of the tip. The woman charged $30 I nicely asked for her to please refund me the $10 she rudely opened her drawer and tossed $20 at me and said - here, fine! Hmm... Then she had the nerve to loudly say while showing me the gift cert I brought in " I CHARGE YOU $30 U LEAVE NOTHING FOR THEM!!!" umm lady - this bill is 30 w/ 20 gift cert I would only owe U $10.00 and tip at my discretion.... where's the extra $10 going? "WHAT" was this lady's problem? Well if she would of charged the right amount and/or professionaly handled her overage I wouldn't be writing her a bad review... Maybe she was having a bad day? Whatever it was you do not handle your clients this way... PROS: mani & pedi is fantastic!! CONS: rushed thru the drying process & rude if they charge you an overage! FYI - the way they disinfect after a pedi...yuck! maybe the Tech was rushing for the next client?...yuck! Not coming back to find out. read more

I used to frequent Acrylic Nails whenever I needed a pedicure, manicure, or acrylic nails. The staff is very friendly and their prices are reasonable. They give great arm and leg massages, but their nail work is, at best, mediocre. I had acrylic nails put on for my wedding and they gave me such thick white tips that the pink part of my nail looked squat and strange. Every time I look at the pictures of my hands from that day, I shudder a bit at how bad my nails look. I wish I had said something at the time, but I didn't. I also think it's worth mentioning that I have never had my nails done here without getting nicked by the small, electric sander that was being used on my nail bed or around my cuticles. This happened with every technician I saw... I can't even limit it to one careless individual. I got nicked to the point of one or more fingers bleeding by the time we were done every single time I went in. Who wants to spend an hour getting their nails done only to leave with bloody cuticles? Kind of defeats the purpose of having your nails done, right? Believe it or not, I naively thought this was normal until I FINALLY went somewhere else and left without any blood having been spilled. I live within walking distance to this place but never tried it until a couple weeks ago. I will never go back. First off, I was passed around like a hot potato between 4 different techs. Half a mani, then to another chair for a pedi and a different tech on my mani , then back to another chair to finish my mani another. Not a huge deal, but it wasn't very personable. I had my acrylics done at another salon with the white tips which were fairly long and I thought they did a great job, but when I sat down she told me white tips were bad because they didn't clean up well, and I should have gotten the white acrylic. Then the second one told me the same thing, and the one sitting next to her piped in and said white tips didn't look professional. Okay, already! Jeez. I felt like I was being scolded for breaking the rules or something. But what really put me off was that I told the manicurist when I first sat down I just wanted a little length taken off, but she was so busy chatting with the other techs, actually looking at them and talking while she drilled down my first nail, that by the time she stopped and asked me if that was good, it was way too short! Almost down to my fingertip. When I told her, she blamed me because I didn't say "when". Really? That was my fault? Nope. Never again. read more

I visited Acrylic Nails this week for a manicure and pedicure. Their hand and arm massages were wonderful, but the polish is another matter. The polish bubbled on a couple of nails, disappointing after an overall nice visit. 3/3/2010: I went back to Acrylic Nails for another manicure and pedicure. Unfortunately, they let me down again on the polish just before I was heading out of town (no time to have the rework the nails). They rush folks out before the polish fully sets, making it likely you will screw up the polish unless you nap in your car for the afternoon. read more

I'm still pretty new to the Livermore/Dublin Area and was still on the hunt for a good nail shop in the area. I was referred here by a lady from church when I asked where she got her nails done. They always looked cute and well done. This shop is definitely the best place for a pedicure. I love that they use a salt scrub on your legs and also do a hot stone rub. It's very relaxing and my pedicure always lasts a very long time. I use to get my nails done here also. The only problems I have are that they don't really listen to what you want and will try to push you towards what they want. I originally wanted a new set with GEL powder. The lady who I assume to be the owner said okay but instead pulled out Acrylic powder. I told her that I don't want acrylic, I wanted gel. She said that she uses this powder and then puts gel over it. I was all kinds of confused. I later learned that she was talking about the gel nail polish. Which isn't what I wanted either. My nails came out looking good so I couldn't complain much. On other occasions, I have been switched around to three different nail techs. I have also shown them pictures of how I wanted my nails shaped and still walked out with nails that are each shaped differently. This place really is a hit or miss for nails but great for pedicures! read more

The ladies here are pretty nice. I have gotten my nails done a couple of times and the first time I got them done, I actually really liked them. I came in today to get my nails done and was wanting something similar. The fake nails (acrylic I believe is the term) but the lady asked if I wanted gel. I assumed she meant acrylic nails with gel paint. I said ok and then they just start painting them. When I asked she said.. "Oh your nails are so short.. they will break..." They didn't the other times I've had them done? I feel like it was just her being lazy. I am leaving for a trip tonight otherwise I would have went somewhere else. Since my last January incident with the manicure, I still have been coming here, and as promised, I did the gel set. I have been happy with them since. Lina is my highest recommendation for these, since they are actually not as thick, and as uncomfortable as the ones I have done in the past, that was why I stopped getting them. They are so durable, and last for the longest time. I get the pink and white set with single rhinestones. It's as affordable as they come, and I still can't help mentioning their awesome leg massages during your pedicures. They last for at least 10 minutes per leg, it seems, and with their advanced chair massager, it is BLISS! I've gotten more relaxed coming here for such a great price, than actually going for a full body massage at a day spa. Most places don't seem to give you a hand massage when you get the acrylic or gel set, since they don't technically give you a manicure, but here they still do while the gel is drying from one hand. They are all incredibly nice, and lastnight, when I asked if they wouldn't mind doing my upper lip, and eyebrows for a waxing, they actually stayed to them for me. Lily took a little too much off my brows, but overall, they still looked great, and I am glad that this place exists in my neighborhood. read more

I've been going to this place since I was in 7th grade which is about the time that they opened. Me and my mother can vouch that they are the best in town. They do my nails exactly how I want them and in such a beautiful way. Most of the time I go in there without an appointment and only have to wait anywhere from 5-10 minutes. However if you're looking to do a walk-in be sure to take notice if it's around prom, graduation, or other big high school events because they're always quite busy on those days. The prices are very reasonable. They don't overprice like other places where I probably won't even like it. The only sucky thing is because it's near the stinky sewage plantation on windy days you better hope they keep the door closed. read more

I've had good and just ok experiences here. They are always in a rush which I don't like. My shellac manicure only lasted about 3 days before it chipped and I'm guessing it was because the lady was in a major rush and didn't let me keep my hands under the light long enough. This place is a hit or miss with me sometimes. My friend and I go here to get our nails done, and some of the girls do a fantastic job most times. Other times, we walk out somewhat disappointed. My last visit wasn't too long ago and I wanted to fix up my nails for a New Years party I was attending. The owner of the shop did my nails and this time she was rather quick and messy. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and it came out nothing like the photo. She shaped my nails in an odd way and just threw the polish on, not really taking time into her work. Then, she tries to overcharge me with my nails that I wasn't happy about. I probably won't continue to go to this location after that last visit. The best place I have ever been and they use such a good product my nails last forever and never lift. No hassle is they need to retouch and they make you feel so important by knowing your name and they remember you. These ladies travel from San Jose area and are very hard workers. I have been coming here for about 6 months, so about a dozen times, found them because they are down the street from my work. I get Acrylic nails with Gel polish. Now... I am 39 years old and have been getting my nails done since I was 17, and this is the first salon that I have never ever, EVER had a nail break or pop off; oh I also usually go 2 1/2 weeks to 3 weeks between fills. The simple fact that I have never had to walk around with a missing nail means I will never change from this salon. I gave them 4 stars because they are practically perfect. I wish they took their time on the scrubbing part of a pedicure an exra 20 seconds on each foot can really make all the difference. But their pedicures turn out pretty, just wish the scrubbing part lasted longer. I highly recommend them to all! read more

Friendly staff! I called ahead and got an appointment. I was in the area for work and needed a new full set and color change on my toes. Every regular customer who came in was greeted by name. I've only been here the one time but was happy with how my nails turned out. I had to ask for the design on my ring finger to be redone because her first attempt was not what I had visioned. Other than that it was a good experience. They got me in right away and weren't rude or demanding. I would come back if I lived closer or may revisit when in the area for work.
