We dropped my SUV off to have the transmission checked due to the age and mileage of the vehicle. It was driving fine, no noises, changing gears correctly, etc. They recommended that we clean and flush everything just as preventative maintenance and we agreed. After the cleaning, the car now jerks into gear and my transmission light is on. Their excuse was that cleaning it can uncover issues that were there and is a common possibility. Yeah, ok. I was charged for a diagnostic assessment and the transmission cleaning so basically I paid them several hundred dollars to have my car run WORSE than before I brought it in. In addition, they never answer the phone, come and go in between business hours with no notice, and they kept my car for 5 days with no updates or information provided unless we called multiple times. I went to an auto parts store and hooked up the scan. Once done, I took the vehicle to tire kingdom and dropped it off. A few hours later, they called and said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. They checked the car over and couldn't find anything related to the code it was showing. They cleared the code and it never came back. The charge? Zero! We just went and picked up the vehicle. I feel 99.9% of other shops would have 'done' something or at least said they did just to get some money.
