My mom and I had a flat tire immediately after Hurricane Irma. Desperate for help we went to the Fairbanks location and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The tire wasn't able to be saved so we needed a new one. Instead of directing us to the most expensive tire, they suggested a cheaper version that was just as good. I've now had 2 spur of the moment encounters with this Action Gator Tire and both were just absolutely amazing. I do plan to use them for my actual routine maintenance as well but it is always good to know you have a trustworthy source in a pinch! Travis just recently took over this location and he is a great addition. They were great before and he just adds to it. I've been taking my car to Action Gator Tire for about 5 years. it started when my car had a nail in it, & I randomly rolled in their driveway because it was the closest place I could find that could help me. Not only did they fix my tire, but they didn't charge me!! From that moment, I have taken my car there for service, as well as both of my kids' cars, & my fiance's car. Recently, the lock on my door had to be replaced (again), & Scott was able to have it replaced with no charge by calling the company to cover it under warranty. This is the only garage In Orlando I will go to - batteries, oil changes, brakes, tires. Just had the blower motor replaced on my Mazda 3. Not cheap, but 5 stars for staff. I walked in here last Tuesday after getting an oil change across the street and spoke with the manager. I told him I needed my tires rotated and balanced and that my car was hitting 60,000 miles and wanted a "check-up." He looked up the recommended services for my make and model and quoted me on all the prices which were very reasonable and scheduled me an apt. for the next day. I came in at 2:30 and was done by 3:30 and everyone was very friendly. While they have a nice big waiting area, bonus is my favorite thai tea and sandwich shop is across the street so you can hang there while you wait and they will call you when your car is done! read more

Action Gator Tire on Fairbanks is the place to get tires in Winter Park. Their service is great, and the price is right. I compared prices of similar tires for my wife's SUV a few weeks ago, and they came in with the low bid. The manager, Don, is the man. He was very professional when he originally gave me the quote, and he was very nice when I came back about a week later to have the service. I only waited for about a half hour while they put the new tires on and aligned them. The new tires look and feel great and we can already see a little better gas millage. New tires can really make a difference. All in all, Action Gator Tire is awesome. I can confidently recommend these guys when it comes to tires. read more

I have been to Action Gator Tires to purchase Cooper Tires 2 years ago and that went smoothly with nitrogen filling They have also done tire rotations for me and are on time with the appointments I have made. I brought in my new 2020 Chevy Malibu this past Saturday and they took the regular air out of the tires with their nitrogen machine and put in the nitrogen and did not charge me. The same was true when I was getting ready to send off the Equinox that they put on the Cooper tires, to my niece, they did check up work and did not charge me. A few years back I had a flat tire at the bowling alley across the street on a Sunday night, and managed to get over to them and left it. They repaired that after I phoned them on Monday. Up early had to get the tires on the car check out looked like a nail or screw in one of them. Usually dread any car repair experience. They always want you to buy four new tires instead of repairing the one. We couldn't get into Firestone in Winter Park so tried Action Gator Tires on Fairbanks and low and behold a tire store that was honest and respected our wallet. They told us the screw was superficial and the tire was fine.Thank goodness for not ripping us off. We did ask for a quote on some new tires in the future and they were more than happy to tell us three quotes and took the time to put in writing. I am extremely concerned with the service at this repair place. I brought my Jeep in to be serviced due to high squeaking and vibrations. After I got there, they checked my car and told me a pen in the caliber had to be replaced or it could damage the piston. The repair would be $436. Something told me that didn't sound right, so I told them I didn't have the money right now and picked up my car after work. After I picked up the car, it was rattling even MORE than when I dropped it off, and I could clearly tell. The next day I brought it to a trusty mechanic my coworker has been going to for years. The first thing he asked was who changed my back tire. I told him I went to a mechanic yesterday to have it looked at. The reason my car was making more rattling noises after I picked it up was because they didn't screw the wheel on all the way!! So shameful. And so dangerous. The mechanic then took the back wheel off and showed me my car, there was an extremely large amount of rust damage directly effecting the transmission. The entire left side of the transmission and frame was rusted out (there were even holes in it!). So much so that the left wheel could cave in at any moment if I hit a bump or drove to fast. Action Gator Tire completely failed to mention this. I could have been in serious danger, the caliber was the LEAST of my problems. Not only did they try to make an unnecessary $400 not fixing the problem, they didn't tell me of the danger of the rust, AND failed to put my on tire all the way??? No one should be going to a maintenance shop that puts that little value to their costumers. read more

Recently called various tire dealers in the Winter Park area regarding a 1971 vintage auto I've owned for last 50 years, which needed a new set of specialty tires. No one was able to answer my questions until I reached Travis, the manager at Action Gator on Fairbanks. He not only was extremely knowledgeable about tires in general, but he specifically knew what my car needed--even though his company was unable to source them for me. Travis directed me as to how I could best find what I needed online and I in turn promised to have Action Gator mount and balance them for me. Travis also allowed me to drop-ship the tires to his shop. He spent a good bit of attention with me even though this entire project only resulted in $76 worth of revenue for Action Gator. BUT in doing so, Travis secured a loyal customer who plans on bringing each one of my late model vehicles to his shop when we need replacement tires that we can buy from Action Gator. This is a terrific tire dealer with a first class manager! read more

They have a very perceptive mechanic, Mike, who can quickly diagnose a problem, and then they give you a fair price. and you're done the next day......Don't blame them for an expensive repair bill ....most of cost is parts.....they only use new parts, and guarantee......they keep a log of my cars on their computer....One time I went in with car trouble, it was fixed for free, because it involved a defective part they replaced about six months before......They told me. I didn't tell them.....If they ever shut this place down, I'm in big trouble.....I don't want to buy new cars , love my 2001 4runner. read more
