Unmatched care and results over 15 years. I don't believe there is a kinder, more knowledgeable dermatologist than Dr. Geyer--he has an artist's eye, and if someone better exists, I haven't met them. Somehow, he has kept my skin almost the same for nearly 15 years. I look around the waiting room and see patients who also clearly trust this practice for thoughtful care and real results. I started with Clear + Brilliant and over time progressed to other options, including Sofwave, which gave truly spectacular results for my skin. I loved the results. I went to see Dr. Geyer, referred by a friend, after my 2 dermatologists in the practice I go to for 17 years said they could not diagnose my rash and recommended I see someone else. Dr. Geyer diagnosed it and provided explanations and showed me photos online that convinced me this is a correct dx. (I am an MD). He was very courteous, perfect bedside manners. The office is upscale and the staff courteous, my waiting time very short. I am extremely happy with this dermatologist and trust his medical judgment. New to NYC, I finally got a referral for a long overdue check up with the Dermatologist. Dr. Geyer was an AWESOME referral. Top notch from the front desk, to the exam room. Dr. Geyer made me feel extremely comfortable. Best of all, he didn't try to hard sell me on proceedures I didn't need (ie Botox). Nothing like that was ever brought up. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

My husband had a growth that recently changed color and became larger, which was very worrisome. Our internist concurred that he needed to be seen by a dermatologist, but he commutes to Newburgh four days/week and was therefore restricted to Friday appointments. The Trinity-Langone dermatologists don't have Friday appointments - and although they have Friday hours at their other locations, they no longer take our insurance plan off-site (the latter is a perfect example of why we need a national healthcare system!). I obtained two other names from Trinity-Langone, but one of them had overwhelmingly-horrible reviews about his staff and mediocre reviews for himself. The other one sounded great, but he works in East Hampton on Fridays. Next I called the offices of every single NYU dermatologist, but either they don't have Friday hours or else they don't take our insurance. Meanwhile, I came across Dr. Geyer's name on some site and got to work "researching" him. Not only does he have a superb background, but everyone on various sites raved about him. I called his office expecting to discover he had no Friday hours and/or didn't take our insurance, only to find I needn't have worried (victory!). Further, the person I spoke to (receptionist-?) was *extremely* pleasant and that was a great sign. I explained the situation and what had finally led me to him, so she managed to give my husband an early appointment for today. Thankfully the growth is benign - and my husband said Dr. Geyer is a *wonderful* person. He also said the staff were great. HIGHLY recommended!! read more

I called today to inquire about SkinMedica products as I was referred to them from the SkinMedica website as an authorized location. I was told that to come in and speak to someone for 10 minutes would require an appointment with a doctor at a cost of $250!!! Seriously? I told the receptionist I found that price to be outrageous and she told me "well it does require them to provide you with their time which is valuable". Great way to turn off a potential client ready to buy premium skin care and eventually get procedure done in near future. read more

I had never had trouble with my skin before and was understandably sensitive about it, he made me comfortable, discussed my options with me, and resolved the situation completely. I just started with Dr. Geyer and so far, he is really great. He definitely spent a lot of time looking at my skin, talking to me, and explaining how all the options work and how much they cost. For my rosacea, he prescribed something that really seems to work and said that I don't need lasers, which is great. Saves me money and the pain! While I can't quite vouch that he is absolutely "as good as it gets," (only because I'm new to the practice), I can say that he's definitely the best dermatologist I've found in Manhattan so far and I am five deep in my search at this point. read more

I saw Dr. Geyer this afternoon for a full body scan and hormonal acne. First of all, the office staff is amazing. I was able to schedule an appointment easily and they gave me a reminder call the day before. The office is beautiful and kept a nice temperature. I'm always freezing and it was nice to be comfortable in an exam room while sitting there in a paper robe. They have nice music playing in the waiting room and hallways and the Dr actually controls it in each exam room. Dr. Geyer has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen. I'm a nervous patient, as I've had bad experiences with doctors in the past. Last year at my body scan my dermatologist started removing a mole from my back before she told me what she was doing - not good for someone with a needle phobia. Dr. Geyer talked me though my entire check and explained why some moles are more questionable than others and took measurements for those questionable ones. He did end up removing one from my arm, but was so wonderful about it. He said he'll call me in a couple of days with the results of my biopsy. He said because of my family history of melanoma he would rather remove something than leave it. (my mother kept asking her dermatologist to remove a mole and he kept saying it was fine. 2 years later she got a 2nd opinion and it turned out to be melanoma which they barely caught in time before it spread too much). Easiest appointment. He agreed that I could use an acne medication and gave me a new one that he's seen good results with as well as a rebate card which saved me $150! I highly recommend Dr. Geyer or anyone at his office for that matter. Everyone in the waiting room seemed happy going into their appointments and coming out. Dr. Geyer is a patient, warm and gifted doctor. I've gotten fillers from him-Beletero and Juvaderm. We had a detailed conversation about what I wanted "fixed" on my face which were the hollows and black circles under my eyes, and the lines/almost creases from nose to corners of mouth. He's conservative and doesn't push products in any way. This most recent visit, he suggested I not spend more money on something I considered doing because he thought what he did elsewhere would have an effect on the untouched area (above my lips.) He told me it would hurt a little more than the usual injections which I find don't hurt so much as punch a bit. So I decided to wait on that. I also use him for my yearly check-ups. The office is immaculate! Staff is friendly and answers questions. Also, when I wanted suggestions on facial care products, he told me to use Aveeno from the drugstore and didn't push any of the products he sells. The one time I asked about brown spots on my face he suggested a serum that worked wonders. I'm 63. read more
