MISREPRESENTATION!!!! the vehicles on the lot do not match the condition has shown online. After driving two hours to the lot to view a truck, we found that the condition was completely opposite from what was expected based on how it was represented online. After looking at several other vehicles, we found food under the seats, rust that wasn't noted, floss picks on the floorboard, and in the bed, etc. It is extremely obvious that all they do is pick up vehicles from auctions and put them directly on the lot without any servicing or cleaning. Started April 1st--fitting for how this went. The car was listed at $2,500 and confirmed over the phone, but once I spoke to the manager (Andy), the price suddenly increased by $400. I was also charged in three separate transactions. I paid $300 for delivery. It didn't happen. After multiple delays and excuses, the car was only delivered after I threatened a refund. When it arrived, several things were not as promised: it had a cracked windshield, missing listed features, not detailed, and no gas despite being told they would refill the gas and detail it. The cracked windshield or paint defect was never disclosed. The paperwork process was a mess. I paid them to handle title/tag/registration, but was later told to get my own inspection and go to the DMV myself. The bill of sale wasn't provided, and I was repeatedly told it was sent via FedEx--it wasn't. Weeks of excuses followed. I eventually had to threaten a BBB complaint just to get a response. Even then, Andy took no accountability--only blamed others. I did finally receive the title and tag weeks later, along with a tax bill that should have been handled by the dealership. Unfortunate to say the least, I came today looking at this beautiful 2012 tacoma access cab fully loaded, the truck with an immaculate service history, that was until i showed up on sight today. NOT TO MENTION 15 minutes before arrival (3 hour drive out) i was given a call that a tire was flat and i was unable to make a test drive, in which i replied confused why they are unable to put the spare tire on and move foward as i gave a 3 hour notice i was coming. to then notice once arriving the HORRIFIC amount of rust on this vehicle which has been covered with spray paint and bondo all over trying to get a scam off on a unsuspecting person. the moment i laid down to look under the vechile the service rep walked away and disappeared for a good amount of time for when he finally returned i gave the keys back and walked away 15 thousand dollars for a truck that couldn't make it 15 hundred miles, sad . the frame connecting to the hitch was shot leaf springs were shot shock absorbers and struts were shot rear diff was shot spare tire was corroded to the vehicle self could practically poke a hole in the frame anywhere you like read more

The communication between the manager and the car dealer was awful..I purchased a SUV around the first week of march,.. it was told to me if there's any issue just call us back and we'll work together to fix whatever it was.. So I purchased and drove car home on that Thursday, service engineer light can on that Saturday..called on that Monday and told the guy who sold us the car about it, sent his a picture( report) of what the code reader reported cause he asked for it to his cell phone.. said he would call me back.. til this day ( march24-2026) have heard nothing from them.. Not only that ..been waiting on a title for the car.. Called the other branch and got the title taken care of by a nice female but directed me to one owner.. told him what happened concerning the service engine light .. was cold as an iceberg.. wasn't even about replacing the part.. it was he had no sense of common courtesy about when someone tells you they will call you back.. call them back..I spoke to him,.. knew immediately the words were wasted effect for him to understand that it's important to have values in a business also.. read more

I don't feel that Adam's is responsible if a person buys a used car and it breaks down. If they did not know anything major was wrong with it. Remember people if you are expecting a new car don't buy used. They can't see into the future on how your car will do. We almost didn't buy from them because of the reviews. This company deserves 0 stars. They are horrible. They sell junk cars for high prices. The salesman Jason admitted that they don't make any repairs to the vehicles until they are about to be sold, but that's only for minor things the potential customer notices. Example a bad tire. Okay so here's what happened in short. My daughter purchased a car on Friday evening around 6pm, the car completely broke down the next day Saturday night 10 pm. She contacted Jason the salesman he basically asked her if she had towing service with her insurance. He didn't seem surprised that a $20k car he sold her died after a day of her having it. As a concerned mother I then reached out to Jason, asked for some type of resolution. NOTHING from him, other than a couple of lies.... He said he called his boss the GM 3 times but no answer and that he was out of town. I asked for the GM's number he didn't respond. All this was via text messages. The next day at 9 am we go to where the car broke down, I started the car it started making noises, the windows wouldn't roll down, the dash board went dark and the car died again. All of that was recorded via video and sent to Jason. His response was I can't reach my GM... I asked that he text his GM my number and contact me by noon as we need to get this car towed. Nothing but crickets... By this time he had shown us that he/Adam's Auto Group could care less about anything mind you they already had a check in hand. Long story short Jason finally texted on Monday evening as the Tow company was dropping the car off back to the lot. He then said have it towed to S. Blvd location. That's the end of my review as that was my last encounter. But I will suggest you look for another review that my daughter will share the final out come, it kinda stated with it nothing we're going to do because she signed papers.... WOW!!!! Beware... Please BEWARE!!!! Don't trust this company they are shady and sell over priced junk cars. They don't care about their customers only money. I was hesitant after reading all of these reviews, but I actually had a great experience. I began my search at Keffer Chrysler across the street with an appointment for a test drive. Not only was the test drive unavailable, but the salesman "helping" me took my information and left me sitting at the desk for 15-minutes. I saw him in a truck with another customer helping them so I let myself out and drove to Adams. Jose at was quick you assist and Ryan helped me navigate my options within my budget. Like many others who have expressed their negative experience here, I am also one who would give ZERO star if possible. We flew from Boston to find out the owner took the vehicle out during Xmas and the salesman has no idea when he'll be back. Salesman asked for 53k for vehicle and we countered to 50k since truck was not able to be seen, driven, or inspected. They did not budge. Went to lunch and came back to submit another offer of 52k. They stood firm on their price and then belittled us by saying, "you guys are smart people, shouldn't you have called and verified vehicle was here?" He wasn't wrong but it was still advertised, and we said " shouldn't you have the product/car on lot if you advertise it on the world wide web? And why is the owner driving advertised vehicles around when it is listed on their site?" They should have taken it down if they know it won't be on their lot for an unknown amount of time. I offered the 52k without seeing or driving the vehicle and they did nothing to help, but were willing to accept the 53k with no knowledge of its current condition. The car is being driven with who knows how many more miles by the owner and what condition it may be in after its return. Waste of time. read more

2 months ago I came across Adams auto through the web and was excited when I saw a 2012 VwJetta. That was the only good thing I can say. I just had a child 7days ago and needed a mother reliable vehicle as my 2008 Ford was reaching 250k miles Called and told car was available to see so I drove to Tryin location to see it. Got there and advised I was there to see car. At that time the Salesman advises the car was not available and online had error stating it was. He then preceded to try to sell me a cars that I did not want but or see. I then walked away leaving salesman as he was trying too hard. I called again and was told the car was at Independence location. I drove to the lot at this point where I met another gentleman who showed me the car. So weird I know. I was new to the European manual so the test drive was a learning experience. I must admit I'm not a car person per say but the usual seemed normal. I left after leaving a deposit of 200. Keep in mind it was late so bank was closed and I had to pick up check that morning. I came to pick up Car the following morning. At that time I was told to wait and I waited for about an hour and a half. I was a little confused because I had already spoken to the sales rep and was told they had completed all checks on it. He told me it was at 60 point check. The Car finally comes backAnd is ready to go and I noticed there's a light out. I advised the sales rep and he told me to come back after couple days bc he would have to order the replacement I said OK and drove home. While driving home I noticed a few things. First off none of the adapters for the chargers worked. When doing 50 or more the car shakes violently. I then called the salesman to let him know. He told me he would notate and have it checked out when I returned to have light replaced. After driving to store with wife I then realized the seatbelt wasn't working. I called the day before I came in only to be told mechanic was sick and I would have to come later next week. I finally was able to get time to have all looked at only to be told they will not look at the shaking situation. I escalated to Mgr on duty who was rude and accused me of messing car up myself. I was then told owner was not in and I would receive call. NO CALLBACK EVER. ON TOP OF THAT I MAIL RECENTLY STATING THE DEALERSHIP DIDNT PAY TAXES WHICH WAS INCLUDED IN THE SALE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT GO AND PURCHASE CAR. NICE CARS BUT CRAPPY BUSINESS PRACTICES. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I JUST WANTED A SAFE CAR AT PRACTICAL PRICE. My daughter went in last night, 7/15/20 to look into purchasing a Jeep. The salesman was helpful, ran my credit, got an approval. She spoke to him this morning, he said he was going to put the paperwork thru and call her back as to when we should come sign the paperwork, that was 10am. Here it is 5pm, she called 5 times today, never heard a work from him. Finally got someone else to help her. The jeep was sold today by the same salesman to some one else today. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If I could give them no stars I absolutely would but this review is necessary, so 1 star will suffice. If you're looking to spend thousands of dollars on the shell of a car, then Adams Auto Group is the place to shop. I was sold a 2016 Nissan Maxima with roughly 70,000 miles on it on 9/9 around 6pm. The car was driven less than 50 miles from the time of purchase into the next day, 9/10 and then completely broke down. I reached out to the salesman as soon as it happened and his response was less than favorable ... "sorry that happened." There was no concern or sympathy on his end. There was no offer of what could be done, it was just cut and dry. I continued to reach out to the salesman as I was broken down on the side of the road and he stopped responding. The car was inoperable at that point. It wouldn't turn on even with a jump, the entire dash was dead, the gear wouldn't shift, etc. The next day, 9/11 I reached out again to see if something could be done and the response was the same, "sorry that happened to you". Again, no resolution being offered. There is no way the car that I purchased should have broken down 24 hours after having it. On 9/12 I had the car towed from the side of the road back to their lot because it was still inoperable and there had been no communication. That's when I finally received a phone call from the towing company stating that the salesman and GM refused to accept the car and if it was left on their property the police would be called to have it towed. Why is that ? So not only have you ignored phone calls and texts about the issue, when I finally do return the car to the lot to get some sort of resolution, I'm threatened with having it towed off the property. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE BUSINESS. These men are horrible business men and crooks. How are you able to sleep at night knowing you sold a piece of junk for the amount that you did and offer NO RESOLVE when the car stops working less than 24 hours later. The GM'S response was "There's nothing I can do. She signed papers and drove off the lot". That alone shows you that you are dealing with people who only care about money. This company doesn't care about their customers. So again, if you're okay with wasting your money then this is definitely the place to shop! Called the dealer because my car was declared totaled this week. I called and spoke with a woman about a car I was interested in exactly what I wanted. Earlier today I was approved for $1,000 less than what the vehicle price was. Woman on the phone said they may be able to do something... Needless to say they said they could not budge at all wouldn't cover anything even taxes or tag fees after I had drove through 5:00 traffic and ended up a half hour late due to missing turns having not driven in that area. 4 hours wasted over a hopeless attempt at getting a car I needed. My husband and I were looking for a car for our son. The salesman said he had a Toyota Tundra that was not on the lot but coming in within a few days. He said we could put $500 down to hold the truck until they got it in and we could actually see the truck to decide if we liked it. I asked if we could get our money back if we didn't like the truck, the salesman said absolutely. We never heard from Adams Auto again. We have called and called, we have emailed. The receptionist has played this game before because she continues to put my husband through to the GM's voicemail. Absolute awful dealership. Over paid for a vehicle that I've had for little over a month and have put 4 thousand miles on. Truck has now thrown 15 codes including tcm, ecm, stabiltrac, and airbags. Truck is in limp mode. Throwing emission codes. Transmission codes. And engine codes. Truck has 92,020 miles on it. Would not fix things that needed to because they had "no one to install". Would not get the key fob they had to order paired on top they ordered a fob that wasent oem and the dealer said they don't like to even progran due to them not working. So I have to pay 140 dollars out of pocket to program. I had to order new tail lights Due to one being busted on the lot. I had to Install the mirror lights that didn't work because they wouldn't. Took over a month to get my tag After the temporary Tag expired. Horrible communication skills. Overall horrible business. They couldn't even wash the vehicle like they said they would before I picked it up. read more

If I had the choice they would get ZERO stars. I recently bought a vehicle from Adam's auto group on Independence blvd. In Charlotte, NC. I was told to take the bill of sale to the office in York county to pay the taxes on the vehicle and bring back the original receipt so that they could take care of getting the tags and title. I did this about 2 days after purchasing the vehicle. The dealership never got me my tag and have lost the original receipt for the taxes that were paid. This has turned into an absolute fiasco. I will never buy a vehicle from here again and I will tells all my family, friends and clients about the type of service we received. I am just absolutely disgusted with the whole way this has been handled. And to top it off I was the one to call Adam's to see what the status of my plate was on Monday December 14th, didn't get a call back until Friday the 18th and the temporary plate expires on December 30th. I recently purchased a used car from this dealer and not to blame them so much as they have 3 locations. However, their service dept. needs a lot of work. The car I purchase, 1 month ago, was either not checked out at all or those people have no idea what they are doing. I have had to: replace the battery, air filter was disgustingly filthy and long past due to be changed, no washer fluid at all, coolant needed added to and sway bar bushings on the rear of the car were shot and had to be replaced. They supposedly took care of the noise in the rear (bushings). Will never recommend them to anyone. When told them about the battery, i will say, they did send me a check for 65.00$. Battery was 120.00. Return phone calls are next to impossible to get. Never again. read more
