I found a used Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 at Hendrick Porsche that really suited what I was looking for. Color, mileage, equipment, etc. Greg Dressel (my sales rep) was very helpful in answering questions. I got to the point that I believed this was the car for me....so I spent $500 to fly down to see it. When you are at Hendrick Porsche, you are surrounded by rare, unique cars...stuff you don't seen elsewhere. It is intoxicating. I drove the car on a few back roads (5 minutes or less), looked over condition and bought it. I was so excited!! I then started my 500 mile drive home. On the drive back, the car scarred me multiple times. Squishy handling, poor traction and pulsing brakes. I told myself it was the drive and the handling was really spectacular (I already own a 2018 Boxster S and the handling is sublime). But it never got better. Once I got home and looked more closely at the tires, I realized that they put absolute shit tires on this car....Bearway Chinese tires.....cost about $100 each. On a $100k car. Just to push it out the door and make a few extra bucks. A 400 HP car with these tires is dangerous. It is my opinion that Hendrick will do anything to make a buck and their approach is "buyer beware". I should have caught the shit tires and walked away, that is my bad. Of course, I had already spent $500 just to see the car....so they kind of had me. So this is a warning to anyone shopping at a Hendrick showroom. Buyer beware, if they can scam you, they will. I am now out another $3k just to put safe tires on my Porsche. Great experience? I think not. Buyer beware. read more

We contacted Hendricks Porsche in Charlotte two weeks ago regarding a Carrera 4S they were advertising. We were directed to Albie Blanco who identified himself as the Sales Manager. We discussed the Carrera with him and advised that is exactly what we wanted and the advertised price was acceptable. We offered to either wire funds or overnight a Cashiers Check. Albie Blanco advised he was running the car thru his service department and wanted to check on an oil leak. We advised him we would be patient and will wait to hear back. After a week of waiting we unfortunately heard nothing so we once again attempted to contact Albie. We left about 5 messages requesting a callback with Rachel their receptionist over a week's period. We also emailed Albie...all to no avail. After two weeks of frustration, today we called and asked to speak to "anyone" in sales. We were connected to salesman Shane Thornburg. We gave him the brief history of our attempts to reach Albie Blanco and our desire to purchase the advertised Carrera. We gave him the Hendricks stock number off their advertisement and he advised us he would check on it and call us right back. Of course, he never did. That now leads me to ask David Foster, the General Manager, "What kind of sales operation do you run there in North Carolina?" So in conclusion, if you are in the market for a Porsche and have a couple weeks to waste call Albie Blanco at Hendricks Porsche in Charlotte, N.C. Moved to Charlotte a year ago. Have had multiple issues with their Seevice department. Continuously make errors with scheduling, always seem to drop the ball on their valet service. I've had Seevice requests in which on 3 occasions needed valet pickup service and either forgot, didn't put it on the schedule (even though I received a text confirming when valet was coming to pick up my vehicle) or made a towing truck come in it's place. Their service department schedulers seem competent when scheduling your appointment but their follow thru says otherwise. I can honestly say the Greensboro NC service department is on the ball!!! I do not recommend their service department whatsoever. Unfortunately it who were stuck with unless you're willing to make a road trip for your service needs. Yesterday i visited this dealership to price a 2015 to 2016 Porsche Panamera . We were shocked when we stepped foot on the lot because we we weren't even aware they were open online it stated they were closed on Sundays but to our surprise out came a salesmen by the name of Herman McCrae and he was very helpful in helping me find exactly what i wanted along with price points etc. Needless to say there weren't very many options for pre owned Porsches at this particular location. I've waited a long time to buy a 911 and the timing was finally right. I was very excited when my wife and I headed over to Hendrick for the first time in early December to check out the inventory but was very disappointed when after 20 minutes of wandering around the showroom, not a single person said hello or offered any assistance whatsoever. We ended up leaving feeling very annoyed and deflated. I went back again recently with my two boys, who are just as excited as me, hoping for a better experience as they had a car in inventory we liked. Again, 20 minutes checking out the showroom and not a single hello except for the friendly greeting by a woman on the housekeeping staff. I made it a point this trip to make eye contact with the sales team hoping that would trigger a "hello" but no luck. I would suggest reading "The Millionaire Next Door" as perhaps a sales training activity. Maybe stepping out of my pickup with jeans and a sweatshirt gave the impression we couldn't afford it? If you go here and want service, throw on some khakis, penny loafers and polo. Those guys were swarmed by the sales team. Fast forward, my family and I love our C4S!! Which we most certainly did not purchase from Hendrick or an affiliate. read more

I am a long time BMW driver (we currently have a 650 vert and an X5M). I've never really been around anyone that had a Porsche so my knowledge of the brand was quite limited but I have always been intrigued by them. I took some time a few weeks back to visit Hendrick Porsche after a service visit for my bimmer and had the opportunity to meet with Bryan Armbruster, one of the sales associates. I explained to Bryan that I still had just under a year remaining on my lease but wanted to learn more about Porsche and the various models. Even though he knew he wasn't making a sale that day, Bryan spent well over an hour with me to introduce me to the brand, show me all of the models and even test drive two different cars. Being new to Porsche I know that it will take several visits to really dial in which vehicle and options that I will want. Since my visit, Bryan has been very responsive in answering all of the questions that I have been sending his way. I've owned several Porsches - purchased all in Atlanta - and having been without one for 5 years decided to jump back in for a little less money with a Boxster. I found a beautiful Boxster S at Hendrick, via Autotrader. I sent an email inquiring about the car - got back a "form letter" email - so decided to call to make sure I didn't miss out on the car. I spoke with Justin Clark- and he was amazing. He told me everything I needed to know about the car. He texted pictures of the car as it sat in the dealership. I asked about the wear on the tires, he went and took a pic of the tires, immediately, and sent it to me. We did this deal virtually - I never met him until I was ready to pick up the car. He let me know that I was under no obligation to complete the deal, if I didn't like the car after seeing it in person - however, it looked better in person than it did in the ad. Something else to consider, Justin is the first Porsche salesman I have ever met who actually owns a Porsche! His enthusiasm for the cars is contagious. He treated my wife and I like royalty. He gave us some Porsche swag (hat, cup, etc) and treated us like we were buying a new Turbo S vs a sub-$20K used car. Again, in the past, I have purchased a new 911 right off the showroom floor, and the only swag I got was a copy of my window sticker. I had been searching for a 991.1 in a certain colour combination and spec for quite a while. I found a 2013 at Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte NC that ticked all the boxes. I contacted the dealership and Amy Cook (Internet Sales Manager) put me in contact with Greg Dressel to guide me through the process of buying the car. Greg answered all of my questions, provided a complete history of the car and convinced me that this was the one. Unfortunately, as I live in AZ, a prior commitment did not allow me to purchase the car immediately. I hoped that it would be available after that commitment, and it was! I met Greg at the dealership to complete the sale. The car was exactly as Greg had described, better even! After the test drive we signed all the paperwork and she is now mine. 2 weekends ago my wife and I were car-shopping on a Sunday afternoon (note, some car dealerships are open on Sunday's in NC). She saw a 2004 Boxster is very nice shape, so we decided to get it. So to be proactive, the following day (Monday), I called Hendrick Porsche at a few minutes after 8am to set an appointments for late afternoon after I could get away from the office to drive the car and purchase it, if it met my qualifications. Note: I've owned a 986 before and quite familiar with Boxsters. Since Albie, the salesperson was off the clock at 5pm, he supposedly set me up with another salesperson who was supposed to call me and provide service history and known background of the car. While on my way from the office to Hendrick Porsche, I get a call (around 5pm) from the other salesperson to tell me they sold the car earlier in the day! Wow, I was shocked! No one had called to let me know someone else was interested and/or actually buying the car! This was just plain bad business, heck they told me someone from over 500 miles away had called in and put a deposit on the car Monday afternoon! Had they informed me when I called in very early Monday morning that I must place a deposit to hold the car until I could arrive Monday evening, I certainly would have done so! Very bad business ethics, untrustworthy people here, so I highly recommend shopping somewhere else where honesty and integrity are the business standard! Part two, I want to thank HENDRICK Porsche for the reply, however it still would've been appropriate to call me as soon as they had the other individual placing a nonrefundable deposit on the car so I wouldn't have planned to take off from my office early and drive down there only to find out on the way into the dealership that the deal was dead. Also, I would have placed a deposit on the car, had they mentioned it was possible to do so, early Monday morning when I called in. read more

Be very careful. I loved my Porsche in Connecticut and therefore when I moved to NC thought I would get another. I was mislead and the place seems more than a bit shady. I was told they do not have any pre-certified cars (as I buy preowned) to only find out from Porsche when they called for feedback that they have plenty. I was just lied to. Then the 30 day warranty was in place and they tried to hand me a 400.00 bill. After we laughed and told them I had brought the car back twice in the 30 days for this reason they paid...but to find out something came up like 2 days later that would cost me 1K.(sound strange?) I traded my old car in because of repairs the sales person told me were no doubt to occur in the next few months, thousands worth. Now of course I question everything that was said to me and he gave me 3K less that the KBB on my car in pristine condition. The sad thing is I had a Porsche I loved and now every time I am in my new car I wish I had kept my old one. When you lose trust in a company such as Porsche where do you go from here? This will be my last Porsche and my suggestion would be to drive up to Hickory if you are looking to buy one. Even the fact they left us sitting in the showroom for the one repair that was covered by the warranty and the sales manager left to lunch and forgot to tell us the car was ready was enough good customer service for us. Most places give you a loaner car, we were left to sit and wait almost 4 hours. read more

The only reason is that Scott in sales is nice otherwise I'd give less. The "Porsche experts " here are very unreliable and I believe them to be incompetent. Could not figure out a code for my radio for weeks and then claimed my navigation CDs were too old because it wasn't reading the discs lol but in fact it is apparent they broke my CD player and tried to pass it off as old equipment so I'd upgrade. If it took me 2 minutes to figure that out I guess I'm the real Porsche specialist who will no longer come to this place although I really was satisfied with the service team upfront the people who execute ruined my experience read more
