    Breakfast burrito 6/10
    Nicole P.

You can stop here to purchase your adventure parking pass and/or grab a bite to eat! We found Adam's Pack Station after we finished our hike. The breakfast burrito was okay, but their burger was veryyyy good. As we sat and ate, the front started to pile up with cars parking as people were arriving to pick up the adventure pass or begin their hike for the morning, so I'd say we came at a good time. The pack station is a little cafe with plenty of seating, and donkeys right beside you so you can say hello (and definitely smell them lol).

We were so excited to find this hidden gem by accident when looking for parking. Vibrate and charming cafe up in the mountains. With a number of tables. Small menu. They do serve cold beers. Staff were great. Friendly and attentive. I truly enjoyed the view of the donkeys. It was nice hearing about them especially Willow. We ordered the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. I loved how crispy the bacon and potatoes were. The egg was fluffy. Well seasoned. You even get sausage which was delicious. We gave this burrito a 10/10. Highly recommend. We look forward to our next visit and trying their steak sandwich.

Whether stopping in to purchase your park pass or coming to hang with friends. Adams' Pack Station is a great place to stop for eats/drinks before or after your hike. There is such a family feel with all the welcome vibes around. Everyone greets you with a smile. A bonus that they have good food and beer. Their breakfast panini was delish. Flavorful and cheesy over fluffy eggs and breakfast meats. Yum! We had a fun breakfast with friends after a hike to the falls. *they now have the capability to accept tap as payment. was also told they will soon have a full coffee bar to offer those "fancy coffees" haha. looking forward to that before a brisk morning hike.

The turkey wrap was so good, they also have muffins, beer, coffee, hot tea, sodas, water and chips. The service was wonderful the lady was very helpful and sweet all the time. She even recommended us other trails to explore and told us to go visit the donkeys. The ambiance is adorable with mountains view. Just be ready for the bees lol. The place looks so rustic with lights .. Has a parking outside. After a good hike you can eat there and also buy hiking adventures day pass or yearly. Recommended it

This place is the perfect getaway cove in the mountains. Went on a whim and it was whimsical. Had delicious burgers and will be back for the hikes! And burgers again. Staff is so friendly and you just can't beat the ambiance. Cutest donkeys ever.

Stopped here mid-ride to refuel with some refreshments. I wasn't hungry enough for food, but those burgers smelled amazing! It's a great little spot to relax after a climb and take in the mountain views. Super friendly staff and perfect for cyclists looking for a scenic pit stop. Whether you're grabbing a quick drink or a full meal, it's worth stopping by.

Just reopened after four years, food on the weekends, cold beer all the time! We had some tasty tacos from local popup, and washed them down with cold beers and sodas. The stables have donkeys, and the hosts will let you visit them when possible. Super friendly hosts, stop in before and after your hike! Some of the best hiking this close to LA.

Great place to relax after a hike they have a variety of beer and refreshments as well as treats and food. So happy they finally reopened.

After a rugged 8 mile hike, an ice cold beer sure hit the spot! The virus has trimmed back food services, but it was nice to sit down and enjoy a friendly cold one.

Blown away by the new ownership! I have been hiking Chantry Flats regularly for more than 5 years and absolutely LOVE the Sturtevant Falls hike (see photos). Adams' Pack Station has always stood out as a convenient place to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a cold drink after hiking, or find last minute parking on the weekends. However, the new owner has taken the customer service to new levels. I was greeted warmly upon arrival, offered information about the many hikes in the area, got a great cup of coffee for only $2, and even got my Camelback filled with cold clean water since the Forest Service fountain was out of order. So happy I stopped here and can't wait to return this summer for concerts and beer in the mountains.

Haulin' Ass Since 1936! This pack station is the last of its kind in southern California. Since 1936, they have faithfully delivered goods to cabins via donkeys and served the hikers and campers of Chantry Flats. They provide gear, food, and other general store stuff. But more than that, the friendly folks at the station can provide valuable advice on trails and terrain conditions. Tips: Don't have a parking permit aka "Adventure Pass?" Pick one up at the store. Check their website for events.

Sweet spot at the top of the trailhead. Park your car for $10 in a private lot and have a righteous spicy sausage dog, fries and a beer after the hike. The people running the place were super nice and I'll be going there next spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. Cheers to the people at Pack Station. ps. Take the upper trail above the falls for an exciting walk along a steep cliff.

Help Save Sturtevant Camp. Visit adampackstation.com to donate. Thank you Ms. Burgess for all that you do. Ms. Burgess has dedicated her life to the maintenance and care of Adams' Pack Station. She ran the Pack station at mostly a loss and is just now turning a profit selling hot dogs, hamburgers, panini's and chili at the pack station. Her prices are reasonable, $7 will get you a burger and fries. The hot food is appreciated as you emerge from the forest. There are goats donkeys and horses onsite. The whole place is quite inviting and charming. Ms. Burgess next project is to raise money and help save the historic cabins at Sturtevant Camp. She sorely needs donations for her cause. I'd been wanting to come here for a while but honestly assumed that if the café was closed, the whole property would be off-limits too. Not the case at all! You can freely drive in regardless, and there are two parking areas -- one at the bottom and another up on a small hill to the left of the café. Really convenient. Now, the views. There's a trail that takes you down just a short distance to the rocks, and what you'll find there is genuinely breathtaking. I'm not even going to try to describe it properly -- you just have to see it for yourself. Trust me on this one. Around the grounds there are several picnic-style tables where you can sit, have some tea, or enjoy a snack. There's also a covered seating area right on the café's patio -- lovely spot, but a heads up: there was a full swarm of bees gathered at one edge of the roof. Not sure if it's just the season, but I'd steer clear of that corner for now. Restrooms are available on the property, and if you follow the trail a bit further, there's an observatory -- I didn't make it there myself, but it's worth exploring if you have the time. Overall, this is a genuinely peaceful and beautiful place. Fresh forest air, stunning scenery, and a calm atmosphere that's hard to find. I'm so glad I made the trip and will definitely be back -- next time hopefully with the café open!

It's subtle and silky, but 20 minutes later, I felt my eyes dilate. WOAH! This caffeine ramps up in the most unsuspecting way. FUN! I appreciated the strength, and I happily savored this coffee's cinnamon & brown sugar tones. (Quick Note: There's no customer internet on the weekend.) I arrived at Grey & Cash (Monrovia) on Friday (around 10:40AM). Parking will require a little walking since street parking is very competitive. Fortunately, there's free parking lots scattered nearby, and it's a brisk walk. Staff is professional and diligent. This business is CRAZY busy! The line kept lengthening. Staff politely and efficiently answered my questions. Once I reached the counter (took about three minutes), my drink arrived very quickly. Took about one minute. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Nitro James Brew ($8.25 - 16oz - Chilled). It has no ice, but it's chilled. The coffee is also silky & soft. Initially, I scoffed at the coffee's strength... but as time progressed, the caffeine kept growing stronger & stronger. WOAH! As someone who drinks daily coffee, it's very rare & unique to feel such almost-frightening power. Regarding ambiance, Grey & Cash (Monrovia) felt busy and cramped despite the large space & tall ceiling. There's about nine tables inside, two tall tables, and five outside tables. The location has a self-service water station, high-chairs for kids, and several electrical outlets (counted about six spots). There's also customer internet with password; customers must ask Staff for the details. Also, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Its music is fairly loud, but it's upbeat and fun. Overall, I found something unique and special at Grey & Cash (Monrovia). If you love silky, potent coffee, this is a must-try. WOAH! 4.9 out of 5

When I asked for the stronger option, I was recommended to get the cappucino rather than the latte and they can make the caffeine a little bit more concentrated without sacrificing the flavor. The cookies were a little dry for my taste but maybe it was because the samplers were sitting outside for a little too long. I would go back just to try the breakfast sandwich, but the experience of grabbing food was pretty fast and the food was flavorful enough! It was delicious and a great size! All the flavors were distinguishable yet married perfectly together. And the GREEN salsa is a must! Didn't see it on the menu, but they had it on a promo flyer near the register. Also tried the vanilla cranberry pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. Accompanied by whipped butter and a not-too-sweet cranberry syrup. Whatever they are doing in the kitchen is magic. I'll be back to try other things from the menu as well as something from their pastry selection. The chocolate cherry hand pie is lingering in my mind! Pictures attached. Sadly, the coffee and chai latte were a miss. The medium size coffee was teeny tiny. So much so I thought they made a mistake. It didn't have a kick and fell short. Too weak for what I was expecting. The chai latte was flat. There was no froth, it was way too spicy, and although I asked for extra honey, it was still not enjoyable. Too bad because the food was so great. The location is perfect and if they can get their drinks a notch up, it will be Sierra Madre's gem! There's a small indoor seating area both with small couch/table set up and single seat bench seating lining the window and wall. If you can grab one of the two high top tables you may have to wipe things down. There are small tables outside too if you don't mind foot traffic and the people watching is good. It may have been the Sunday rush (I was there around 12:30) but I was disappointed with the lack of someone doing quick wipe downs of the least the table tops. Both my table, the window bar seating, and floors were quite untidy. Most disappointing was that a manager or owner was sitting in the 2nd heigh top table chatting with friends. We realized he was management because the barista informed him that they were out of ice. At this point he was surprised that barista was in (maybe it was her day off?) He quickly said goodbye to his friends and walked to the back. This disappointed me for two reasons. 1. He could have been wiping tables and sweeping the floors instead of customers having to clean their own tables. And refilling the utensils as there weren't any forks. 2. He and his friends sat at the table for a while. We arrived and I saw them already there. And they were there until we were almost done eating--which was about 40 mins. There were other customers looking for a place to sit and totally could have used that table. I'm pulling for this spot. I hope they can tidy up these details and will be around for a while.

When I asked if it was possible to make the matcha half sweet, it felt like my request was strange. That didn't bother me at first until we received our order. We sat down and she brought our drinks over to us. My friend's drink was served in a white coffee cup, while mine came in a clear plastic cup. At first glance, it looked like mine was iced and hers was hot even though we both ordered iced. Naturally, my friend said "Oh I ordered iced". She responded with "it is iced" and walked away. The whole interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. It made us want to leave and drink our drinks elsewhere. On top of that, the drinks themselves tasted like mostly milk with just a hint of matcha, and mostly milk with a hint of turmeric. Quite disappointed in both the service and drinks. 2 stars for location, it is walking distance from the Lagree class we came from but most likely would not come back.

I like that they have back yard seating. It has very good potential for decoration. Now it's was just a bench table and couple of round tables. I ordered my go to, Cortado and my friend ordered matcha latte. Nowadays I have thing to sit down and have my coffee with proper cup, not paper cups. Paper cup is ok for to go. My cortado was ok and my friend's latte was also ok. Place is pretty mellow and good for meetings or to get some work done in peace.
