Steak and onions with provolone. Add mustard and the right bag of chips.

Swing by this great little sandwich shop today for another great lunch. Took a friend of mine for his first visit to a real Yankee sandwich shop. If your from PA or New Jersey, you know....all da way, wit whiz! I ordered a cheese steak with onions and provolone and added mustard. Four guys who came in after I ordered thought my sub looked awesome and asked for my order so they could get one as well. If you're in the Lakewood area, you gotta stop in for a great meal. Get a bag of UTZ Chips and enjoy.

I went there with the hopes of getting a steak and cheese. The owner told me he was out of beef, however he offered me a great replacement --- chicken cheesesteak. I was so excited about the number of soda choices, soda flavors from my childhood and ones I had never seen before. The sub was good, great flavor and plentiful toppings. I'm hoping to visit again and get the steak and cheese my mouth has been waiting for.

Small local joint that's family owned and operated offering an expansive menu of breakfast and lunch. Definitely a dive vibe which works for me. Great place to grab a quick bite which for me today was a steak in a sack and fries. Everything was cooked to order and fresh and the pita was packed nicely with slivered steak and onions then topped with provolone. It's nothing special but you'll get what you expect when you walk in. Probably more of a 3.5 star rating, I would not hesitate to return when in the area. Reasonable prices and decent food.

Decent breakfast pita but a few issues caused me to lower the star rating. First no masks on employees. Second, several customers waiting without a mask. Third, sausage had a bit of bone shard in it. I thought I broke a tooth. I understand the sausage is probably a purchased brand but perhaps the low quality of their product means their supply source should be reevaluated. I doubt I would ever be back because it is not worth the drive and outside my haunting grounds

Next door to Owens gas, across the street from First Coast Deli & Grill.

One of the things I love about Jacksonville is the abundance of small family owned and operated sandwich shops that seem to be almost everywhere. Most of them offer good food and friendly service, and Adams is no exception. I stopped in today after getting gas next door, and I was in a hurry. I needed a camel rider sandwich, and I needed it fast. And that's almost what I got. Almost. They were out of salami, a critical component in the cold cut trio that makes a camel rider special. In their favor, they did double up on the ham and bologna, and it was a pretty tasty, filling sandwich for only $3.95. Hamburgers are only $2.75 to $3.95. They serve breakfast too; Platters with eggs, meat, and grits run $2.99 to $5.99 (for steak). On a hot summer day when you crave ice cream, they have it in many flavors, hand dipped the way you like it. If you're hungry and in the neighborhood, you should stop in for some good food and friendly service. Its next to the Owens gas station, across from the First Coast Deli and Grill. When you go, be sure to check out the daily specials.

Great "hole in the wall" joint. Foods good and prices are better. Burgers and deli type options.

Upon entering the shop, I noted that it is well apportioned with tables, couches, lounge chairs, as well as inside and outside seating. I also noted that the business is an inclusive business that employees disabled persons. Positive vibes for ambiance on that one. I proceeded to the counter and the nice lady at the counter was patient and helpful with my indecisiveness. I opted for a hot coconut white chocolate latte after seeing an iced version online. It seems as if they can make any drink hot or cold. I also added a couple of cookies for $4. I then found a table and settled in with a good book. The staff will call you when your order is ready. The latte was sweet and like sipping a coconut macaron. The cookies were a little hard but all in all a welcome snack. The interior is a little loud due to the high roof and general clutter of a coffee shop.

The parking right in front isn't the best but there is ample parking in the shops surrounding the business. The environment was lowkey with several patrons on laptops or catching up with friends. I had no idea what I wanted but definitely wanted to try their drinks and a biscuit. I ended up having them customize an iced caramel latte and ordering a cheddar and cheese biscuit. Everything tasted amazingggg. The biscuit was fresh and I didn't feel heavy after eating it. The latte had the perfect amount of sweetness. Both items complemented each other well and the pricing was very fair. They do sell their own coffee and it seemed like everyone had a cup. I think one of the better things about it is the drive-thru for people who don't want to get out the car. I am confident enough to use the drive-thru now that I have a go-to order. I rate this place a 10/10 and I will definitely be back to try some of the pastries and different coffee flavors.
