A very cute spot. Our only hiccup was parking as there was a food pick up line in the church lot on the day of our visit. Despite parking struggles we had a great time. I got the seasonal honey chai latte and it was fabulous. My husband got their signature cold brew. We both enjoyed our drinks greatly and they came out very quick. Stopped in this new coffee shop that is part of Southside United Methodist Church for an afternoon pick me up. Upon entering the shop, I noted that it is well apportioned with tables, couches, lounge chairs, as well as inside and outside seating. I also noted that the business is an inclusive business that employees disabled persons. Positive vibes for ambiance on that one. I proceeded to the counter and the nice lady at the counter was patient and helpful with my indecisiveness. I opted for a hot coconut white chocolate latte after seeing an iced version online. It seems as if they can make any drink hot or cold. I also added a couple of cookies for $4. I then found a table and settled in with a good book. The staff will call you when your order is ready. The latte was sweet and like sipping a coconut macaron. The cookies were a little hard but all in all a welcome snack. First, loved the gluten free raspberry lemon muffin, so good! Next, they are set up to welcome remote workers, which I very much appreciate. We finally took the time to stop by the Happy Brew Coffee Shop and I'm so glad we did. The coffee was bold, delicious, brewed perfectly. I had a cold brew and my wife a s'mores latte. Both just fantastic. Happy Brew is clean, beautifully decorated inside and out and has places to work, to socialize, to play games or just hang out. Really great vibe. Service was great. The crew is fantastic!! I think the biggest surprise came with the check. This is the most reasonably priced coffee shop for what you get that you'll come across. What a gorgeous coffee shop inside and out! Full of life, color, big open windows, smiling faces, and delicious coffee. I was not expecting Happy Brew to be so big and open! I loved the indoor and outdoor space! Inside there are rooms if you need a little privacy for a meeting of some sort. Upon looking around and checking everything out, I discovered one of the meeting rooms had vibrant local art one of the employees painted - very cute. Everything is set up to accommodate wheel chairs from the front door entrance, to the bathrooms, table tops, it's such a nice touch that does not go unnoticed & is much appreciated. This is a coffee shop welcoming of all ages. One room even has a few board games in it! My Happy Brew iced latte was delicious. I swapped regular milk for oat milk no problem! I'm really looking forward to going back and trying more items off the menu. On my way inside, they happened to be painting the butterflies on the side of the building. This was fascinating to watch the artist at work. I was so captivated with spontaneously stopping in here last week that I've decided this is now one of my top 3 favorite coffee shops in Jax now (& we have A lot here in the 904) Very impressed! This was my first time visiting Happy Brew! I am unsure of when they opened up but it is definitely a refreshing new business in the area. Upon arrival, I was able to park in the church parking lot next door so do not fret if you do not see parking spots along the road. I walked into the cafe and was able to quickly order a Lemon Poppyseed muffin from the pastry display and an iced cold brew with hazelnut flavor. Both items were very good. The coffee was definitely tasty, not too watery nor too strong, great first impression! The staff was friendly and got my order to me quickly. The cafe is very bright and welcoming. There is ample room for seating and many outlets available for those who like to work in coffee shops here and there. I also really liked that they have a meeting space that is open for use. Great coffee shop! The friendly staff helped picked a delicious drink. I went with the camp fire latte and also ordered a camp fire chocolate milk for my son. Then we ordered two of Caleb's cookies, undecided so we ordered both (2 for 4$) I love that this place has separate spaces for meetings and working areas to bring your laptop. The section that stuck out the most was a sensory section with bean bags, headphones, quiet games. This is major for my son and his sensory needs. Nice to have a calm space in a coffee shop. I really love this new coffee shop! I have visited a few times, and all of my experiences have been positive. They have a big free parking lot next door! Also -comfortable seats and space! The coffee shop is HUGE and has meeting rooms, adjustable tables, comfortable chairs, and outdoor seating too! The workers are so so sweet and always make me smile. They are always having fun and genuinely want to help the guests. I bought a pound of their coffee beans to go and now we make it at home. It was reasonably priced and is really good. They also offer punch cards so after you visit so many times you get a free reward. This is a quiet space to work on your laptop too. The Burger and Brew Bash at Happy Brew Coffee Shop was spectacular! It was an event from Yelp's #HotandNewinJax series. As a cold brew lover, I had to try that first, and the campfire flavor had a marshmallow topping to die for. Ashton Taylor performed some great throwback songs amongst the beautiful view of the coffee shop inside and out. The decor was beautiful and fresh with an outdoor lawn that had a gorgeous old tree covering the grounds. The menu was a delightful mix of coffee, burgers, and pastries. I had the opportunity to try something from each vendor with absolute pleasure from each, which are listed below... -Alecx' Bundt Cakes: The chocolate flavor was my favorite! -Bite my Bun: The Wrangler burger had caramelized onions and duck fat fries, an amazing combination. -Blueberry Artisan Bakery: Yummy mini muffins in a variety of flavors. -Caleb's cookies: The perfect chocolate chip cookie. -Other vendors: Refreshing peach tea with sprinkled ice cream. I attended a yelp event at this amazing establishment a couple of days ago and it is just that... Amazing. First, the building and atmosphere is beautiful inside and out. I absolutely love the story and purpose - training and employing individuals with intellectual and developmental differences. There was even rooms with art that had been created by the individuals who are trained and work there. When we arrived, we were greeted by so many wonderful individuals who are working and sharing all of the amazing baked goods that were available. There was a musician by the name of Ashton Taylor, who was playing guitar and singing, and she sounded amazing. The food truck they had was called Bite my Bun and that was one of the best burgers and fries I've had in a long time. We were also treated to an iced coffee. I ordered the campfire iced coffee, and it was out of this world. I would highly recommend this establishment and I will definitely be returning in the future. read more

When I first saw the sign for this business, it made me wonder if this area needs another coffee shop. Within a mile there are at least five (two Starbucks, Southern Grounds, Foxtail, and a nearly identical concept called Bitty and Beau's). But this place is amazing - a great new addition to the neighborhood. It's HUGE, has very appealing decor. You feel like you're at home. The coffee is excellent, and they offer complimentary refills. They offer delicious baked goods and soft-serve ice cream. And the mission (employment opportunities for young people with developmental disabilities) is inspiring. And you might be coming in thinking you're coming to support the mission - which is great. But I guarantee you'll come back for the great coffee and the wonderful vibe. read more
