My friend was raving about this place, and after my first dinner there I can't wait to go back. Big portions and plenty of naan and rice with the dishes. The garlic naan was super good. Have to update my reviews because this is the best Indian food in the South Bay hands down. Was surprised at the quality and taste. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful, which you never get at those Indian buffet places. The curry was so creamy and perfectly spiced, and the chicken was really moist. Their makhani curry is seriously the bomb. Definitely get the dinner option vs the a la Carte. If you love Indian food, this is definitely a place that's worth a trip.. even down from Los Angeles. We had the Lamb Tikka Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala and it tasted like a Chef Boyardee canned meal. There was absolutely no flavor. Friend brought me here for a dinner one night, and I guess I've passed it a million times, but never noticed it. Indian food is one of those things where I just don't really walk into any place unknowingly and take a chance. Eck. Luckily, this place was pretty good, except service was a bit slow, but they were very nice. Dinner prices seemed a bit high, ranging from $14-$20 for various types of curry dishes. Lunch is when to go as you get pretty much the same thing for dinner but less expensive plus naan, rice and salad bar. It's a nice deal! Service is always great. Addi's Darbar is just a new name for Addi's Tendori. Though I suspect it might be a different owner as the restaurant had a minor clean up. Most of the decorations are the same. I do miss that huge tea pot though. These guys still have the same recipes and quality food.Love everything about this place. These guys do an awesome job taking care of you. As they always have. OMG what a GREAT experience!! We just moved to the area 6 months ago and this is the 1st time we tried a local Indian restaurant. SO good!!! We had the chicken tiki masalaa and wow! It was so good!! Then we also had the chicken curry. Although I wish it had more of a curry taste to it, it was still good. Then we accompanied it all with their garlic naan. Super good! I found my go to Indian spot! I came here with my husband after work. So glad we made it in time. 10pm. Parking lot right outside the restaurant. There was a nice ambience. Def great for date night. We have been patronizing this restaurant, previously Addi's Tandoor, for over 15 years, and the food is consistently high quality and the service is excellent! Excellent place for dinner in Redondo! The restaurant is cozy and small, perfect for date night. Food is served family style or entree style with naan and rice for each dish. We ordered chicken makhani (butter chicken) and lamb saag with the assorted bread basket (plain naan, garlic naan and onion kulcha). This was definitely more than enough food for 2 people! Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was great, the server and the owner checked in on us multiple times throughout the meal. Addi was a great host, we were offered a free glass of wine and port and he also invited us to his Christmas party! Would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to everyone! read more

Great Indian food! The chicken tikki masala has a rich tomato taste, rather than a strong curry /cream like taste, would highly recommend. However, don't forget the food is still made with butter and cream so eat less if you have a sensitive stomach. This place used to be nice, last year. Since they came under new ownership, however, things have declined in a serious way. Here on a Saturday night, and the place is half empty---which should be the first clue. Ordered chicken korma, and it came out incredIbly bland, basically tasteless---like it was missing a few ingredients (for example, there were like 5 raisins in the whole thing, and the chicken seemed completely unseasoned, like they had just yanked out the inside of a McNugget. Service also got extremely bad; 45 minutes from getting in to getting food (and I repeat that the place is half empty), plus it took two tries to get the check. Disappointing. read more

Chicken Madras is a bit spicy (you can order is mild, medium, or hot), with great rice and lentils. the Nan is HOT and perfect for scooping up every morsel. Addi's is my absolute favorite Indian food restaurant in Torrance and in my top 5 overall restaurants in Torrance. I get the chicken korma and vegetable pakoras. My partner gets the chicken masala and samosas. We share the garlic naan. We both like adding the red sauce to it. That order lasts us three meals. Actually no stars, we never got seated! We were told 30 min wait and after watching patron after patron leave, we were curious why we hadn't been seated. We realized there were reservations but shouldn't they factor that into the wait time? At 45 min I inquired as to how much longer, and was told they were setting up our table and it would be 7 more min. then a large family walked up and I checked inside and noticed they were sitting in the tables meant for us and when I asked the hostess she said, I'm sorry my manager sat them at your table and she seemed flustered and embarrassed. Nobody came out to say, just a moment or don't worry you'll be sat as soon as possible well, they may have good food... but not worth the rude treatment we received tonight!!!! No stars!!!! read more
