    Butter Chicken
    Jason L.

Solid spot for Indian food. We ordered takeout so can't speak to the dine-in experience but every time we order, it satisfies our Indian food craving. We order the usual, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Curry and they're all super flavorful and delicious. My only knock is that it's a bit on the pricier side given the smaller the portion size.

Three Entrées (one vegetarian/vegan), two kinds of naan, lots of tasty sides! So delicious and enough for three meals probably for all of us

I found this restaurant because my parents were requesting it. It is near their house. They have been to several Indian restaurants in South Bay and said that this one is better than the rest. It is a tiny place in a strip mall and those places usually wind up being the best. From the moment I walked in the door, the smells were intoxicatingly delicious! Although I was there for carry out, I swore to myself that I will return someday soon for the AYCE buffet, so I can try a lot of different dishes. The portions are very large, my dish actually lasted me three meals. We did get a lot of sides though too.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Smaller buffet but the quality is there. Smaller and very clean dining area but can accomodate a work group, family or a group of friends. Like naan which is usually served tableside, so is the rice. Also, I've never seen Butter Chicken, one of my fave Indian dishes at a buffet. The food and service is excellent. We will be back for sure!

I have been a customer of this restaurant for a long time, and I recently ordered for a graduation party, and it was first-class! The portions were excellent, more than enough, and the best part was they delivered it to my house, which saved me so much time and was a huge help. The service was very friendly and very cooperative. I highly recommend it--if you ever have an event at home, school or work, this is the perfect choice.

Some of the best curry I've had! Dining room has nice linens and table sets. Take out gives generous portion size too. One rice and one naan was enough for two people to share. Pictured butter chicken(red), chicken coconut curry(yellow), rice, garlic naan.

The free hotel breakfast only goes so far. I noticed there was an Indian restaurant that offered a lunch buffet, all you can eat for around $20 per person. The place was called Bombay Tandoori & Banquet. It's address is on the PCH Highway 1, but I needed the GPS to guide me there. There's no parking on Highway 1 so you need to turn into a driveway and find parking. The inside is very nice, kind more upscale than some Indian restaurants I've been to. I see there is a buffet and we get seated. Five for the buffet please ... drink orders are taken. The server is very pleasant. I like buffets for lunch with the crew, cause we don't have to spend a lot of time doing lunch, like we did at Cheesecake Factory one time! The food was all very nice and the buffet was clean. I got my Tandoori Chicken and Tikka Masala over the basmati rice. I know, I'm not that adventurous when it comes to Indian food, but I like what I like and the crew has all they want here. The naan was good here too.

To make matters worse, the cashier was rude and was yelling at customers, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. They also didn't have mango lassi available, which was disappointing. Better customer service, respectful staff, more accurate wait times, and keeping menu items in stock would make a big difference.

The lighting is warm and intentional, creating an intimate, upscale vibe without feeling pretentious. Whether you're on a romantic date or just catching up with friends, the beautiful interior design--complete with subtle traditional accents and modern elegance--sets the perfect stage for a memorable meal. For dinner I kept it classic with the Aloo Gobi and Basmati Rice, and it was executed to perfection. The cauliflower was tender yet retained a slight crunch, and the potatoes were buttery soft. The rice was incredible fragrant, fluffy, and served in a generous portion. It was the ideal canvas for the rich flavors of the Gobi. The service was impeccable--attentive but never hovering. It's rare to find a spot where the visual beauty of the space matches the quality of the kitchen, but this place nails it. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu soon! Banana Leaf Restaurant in Los Angeles delivers an experience that feels both expansive and…read moreassured--an establishment that understands its culinary roots and presents them with clarity rather than excess. The meal opened with Rooh Afza falooda and a mango lassi, each thoughtfully composed. The falooda was aromatic and layered without being cloying, while the mango lassi struck an ideal balance between fruit, dairy, and sweetness--refreshing and composed, not dessert-heavy. The transition to savory dishes was seamless. Pani puri arrived crisp and well-structured, with a pleasantly sharp, clean pani that avoided overpowering acidity. The chicken 65 followed--crisp on the exterior, tender within, and seasoned with confidence. The spice was assertive but controlled, allowing the dish's texture and flavor to remain the focus. For the mains, both the mutton biryani and chicken biryani were commendable. The rice was aromatic and distinct, the proteins well integrated rather than buried beneath spice. Each biryani stood on its own, demonstrating careful layering rather than relying on heat alone. The standout of the meal was undeniably the lamb vindaloo. Rich, deeply spiced, and unapologetically bold, it delivered complexity without heaviness. Paired with soft, well-cooked naan, it was the most memorable dish on the table and a clear indicator of the kitchen's strength with traditional preparations. The meal concluded with two varieties of dosa, both expertly executed--crisp, light, and evenly cooked, served with flavorful chutneys and sambar that complemented rather than distracted. While the service was a little slow, it felt more reflective of the care taken in preparing each dish rather than inattentiveness. The pacing ultimately allowed us to enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Banana Leaf succeeds not by spectacle, but by consistency, authenticity, and technical precision. For diners seeking serious South Indian cooking with depth and integrity, this restaurant stands out as a reliable and rewarding choice in LA.
