I have found that no one is perfect all the time and I will do my best to let it go, but after I bragged about how good they were, my brother (from out of town) ordered pizza for everyone. Damn if they didn't chose that time to burn all of them. I am not talking very brown, they all were black on the bottom. Then they delivered these burned pizzas to us. We ended up getting food from somewhere else because some of the folks here would not eat it. I expected them to be excellent like the other times. My brother went back to California thinking that the people in Spokane eat burned pizza. He feels sorry for me because I am living with savages. Just moved into the area and decided to try this spot out on a Monday evening. The pizza was delish and the service was great! I'm assuming he was the owner but he came over to our table and spent time chatting with us about the local breweries and was very friendly. So, I am writing this review in hopes of helping this restaurant. It is a local favorite to many, however they (in my opinion) are losing customers due to allowing too many tables to be reserved on their trivia night. Here is the premise for my thoughts. 1. If a table is reserved there is no guarantee that, that party is going to show up unless you are charging a fee in advance. 2. If too many tables are reserved and marked as reserved, your spontaneous customers have to find other dining options (JJ's is just around the corner, that's where my party and several other parties ended up on the night of my experience) 3. How many tables could have dined and exited before your reserved tables parties arrived? 4. If you allow reservations before an event (in this case trivia night) those who reserved the tables know that they don't have to arrive any earlier than their reservation time. This causes a reduction in beverage and food sales. The longer they are there the more the will eat and drink. If they truly want to participate in trivia they will arrive earlier and benefit your business. Overall I really like Adelo's, as I said before it is a neighborhood favorite. The holidays are suppose to be a fun time with friends, family and good food. Knowing that we were coming in to visit last minute and late, I didn't want to burden my poor Mom with the rigors of another holiday meal. I took recommendations on local takeout/delivery and wasn't worried about price. After all, this was a late family holiday gathering and we just wanted the ease of someone else cooking, but still have a bunch of tasty food to dive into. At first glance, Adelo's artisan pizza menu looks impressive. Lots of cool options and combinations. I eyed the Thai pizza immediately, as I had just tried an impressive one weeks before in Seattle. Prices seemed steep for Spokane, but it was the holiday season and I didn't mind the splurge. They were prices I am more accustomed to anyway. I figured if they were this high in Spokane, the product has to be exceptional. We ordered 2 XL artisan pies and a medium-sized, GF (yes, they DO have gluten-free crusts) cheese pizza (for the kids and gluten-challenged). $60 later (yes, that's SIXTY dollars) the pizza was delivered promptly and the driver was friendly and courteous (which I considered bumping stars up for.) I then started sinking my teeth into what I can only describe as garlic-y, chewy cardboard, with hints of 'pizza flavor' and an occasional morsel of chicken or pepperoni. I've never experienced such a dry, lackluster pizza, maybe in my entire life. The entire family was puzzled and disappointed. My brothers were cracking jokes on my expense: "...you spent HOW MUCH on this?" "....why didn't you just grab some Pizza Pipeline or Dominoes??" "wow......this sure is some 'designer cardboard'" It was brutal. In fairness, Adelo's has a nice seasoned-garlic-y crust, but is only a nice highlight if you like chewy-style crusts. As far as cheese, sauce and toppings go, it was an absolute joke. Pizzas were so dry that EVERYONE in the room was complaining. Cheese was sparse, and only covered half the diameter in the middle of the pies. And lightly at best. Pepperoni was SUPER spicy (which I love, but others were thrown off by). Gluten-free pizza had burnt edges (generally indicating they were in hurry and cooked it at same temp as regular crusts) Overall, these pizzas were dry, dry, dry and simply BLEAH. More crust than anything. My Mom felt awful. She insists that she has had decent pizza eating in at Adelo's, but can't remember when that was ;) She wanted to call. I tried to explain that usually that doesn't help things. Transparency and honest reviews can make more of an impact. It was disappointing, because she felt bad that we had spent that kind of money on awful food and it was her recommendation. It just made the dinner somewhat uncomfortable as she continued to press the issue of calling Adelo's to complain. I wasn't going to let this ruin our holiday. I put it behind me, but knew I had to report it on Yelp. Truly, truly some of the worst pizza I have ever had. I am sure the owners of Adelo's are nice people, the place looks great and I certainly want to support small business in Indian Trail, but for $60+ 15% driver tip, this was one of the most disappointing take-out dinners we've ever had. Power was cut off at our house, so we decided to drive a short distance for dinner. We saw Adelos Pizza and decided to try it. Not in the mood for pizza, my wife ordered the pulled port sandwich, and I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. What a mistake on both orders! The pulled pork was not cooked in an oven or bbq, but rather in something like a slo-cooker; the meat had no flavor; the slaw tasted 'old' and the BBQ sauce for the pork had too much vinegar in it. The spaghetti sauce was very spicy (since when does spaghetti sauce have "heat"?); the "meat" was yesterday's hamburger patties, very tough, no flavor. The meat balls were so spicy (hot) that I couldn't eat them. We ordered two Blue Moon beers, after asking if the customary slice of orange came with them; assured by the waitress they did, we received them, but to our dismay the "orange" was in reality tangerine, which the waitress indicated were "small oranges". The owner (we assumed it was the owner) took both meals off the bill, but charged us for the beers, which was OK with us. Will we go back? Absolutely not... read more

We have ordered from Adelo's dozens of times. It's one of my kids' favorites. Tonight for the first time they messed up delivery and we ended up with a couple of items we didn't order, and didn't receive a couple of items that we ordered. I called to see if the delivery guy could turn around, but instead they re-made OUR ENTIRE ORDER and delivered it within half an hour, along with a gift certificate. This was beyond expectations, and we are blown away by the customer service. Well done Adelo's, keep up the good work! We are lifetime customers! read more

I was so excited to try this place since it is close to my parents place, but I will never go here again. I'd rather drive to northwest Blvd and go to Pete's pizza.. the calzones here are marginal at best and the service was so bad that if I were the owner I'd clean house. We tried calling in an order multiple times but it was like the phone was just off the receiver. Soooo we went in to order and the gal at the counter was by far one of the rudest employees EVER. She seemed upset that we were there to get food and when we said something about the phone, she was very condescending. Such a bummer that all of the restaurants in Spokane seem to go belly up, especially out on Indian trail, but I've got to think things like shitty service and mediocre food are the reason why. read more

Oh, adding insult to injury...asked for 1 scoop ice cream half one flavor, half the other. I have lived in the area for 2 years, and I think the food is pretty good. Don't listen to the complaints and at least give it a try. You have to understand the people complaining over true first world problems, come from probably the most entitled neighborhood in Spokane. So take the complains with a grain of salt. Just spend 20 min at the Albertsons and you'll completely understand what I'm saying about these said people. I honestly haven't had a good experience here since the new owners took over (the old owners were amazing and every order was on point)! If you do manage to get through the phone line (which I've given up after an hour while trying to do a take out order - even on a Monday) than you end up with rude, blunt service, burnt crust and an incredibly high tab for what you do get. I used to do delivery thinking it would be fresher, but that isn't the case. I literally live 5 blocks away and had cold pizza and extremely cold, undercooked sweet potato fries that I paid extra for. I decided to try pick up and they told me it would be ready in 40 minutes. Apparently, it was done after 15 and my last order was cold, and burnt at the same time. The new owners don't hold a candle to the previous ones. It's sad. I've given them multiple tries and just can't do it anymore. The only reason why they have the business they do, is because people in this neighborhood don't want to travel for dinner. Talking to some of my neighbors, they feel the same way. It's close, but it's not worth the price or hassle. Might as well save your 25-30 bucks per pizza and find something better‍. read more

Adelos has become our "go to" place. We have tried pretty much every pizza on their menu and have never been disappointed. The beer bites ( deep fried dough served with a coating of garlic and herb butter or rolled in cinnamon and sugar with a side of warm cream cheeses frosting) are addictive! Don't even get me started on their salads! I haven't tried their pastas or wraps yet simply because I can't get enough of their pizza. The beer selection is on par with most of your better brew pubs and they feature many local brews. if beer is not your thing, they also have a great selection of wines and even feature wine tastings once a month or so. the only thing better than the fare is the staff. it's an interesting place. As you walk in, there are a good amount of TVs but it looks like someone's messy office as well. there is stuff EVERYWHERE. the owner is an interesting guy, I've heard him be (what some would call inappropriate) towards employees at time. if you come in when there's not a lot of customers around, you really here what the employees think of their boss and what the boss thinks of other people that come into that place. The food: the food is mostly good. when it's on, it's great and some of the best. if you get them on an off night, it can be pretty bad. Ok so a ℅ worker of mine recommended this place and at first it was really good. They put olive oil on the crust which enhanced the the flavor or the pizza. The Greek and plain cheese were what my family liked. Over time they stopped putting the olive oil on the pizza and the crust started to get burned. I can handle this part but one thing which is a huge No No in my book are people who are entitled to a tip. A short man wearing a tight shirt with his hair slicked back seemed entitled to my change (waiter)while I was getting carry out and snarled at me when I asked for it back. From that point on the arrive has been questionable and I have taken my $40 for two pizza to anther place in town. Beware!!!I also saw the cook (while I was waiting for my carry out) taste the tomato sauce for the pasta and use the same spoon to stir it!!! read more

One of my favorite places for dinner and/or drinks. Casual atmosphere. They have a really great patio. I've eaten here multiple times and always enjoy it. Staff are friendly and the food is great. Their lemon poppy seed salad is probably my all-time favorite salad anywhere (the chicken add-on can be dry, but I still enjoy it). Definitely go for the garlic beer bites! This has quickly become our new favorite pizza place. We love the new location and the ability to dine in or order it to be delivered. We had the bacon asparagus pizza (twice now) it is amazing!! My children enjoyed noodles with butter and Parmesan. There are a good amount of beers on tap. The service was wonderful.
