Hummus, baba ghanoush, and gyro sandwich
    Kattie C.

Stumbled upon this place by accident when I went to Rosie's garden center while pregnant and hungry. The owner and his wife are so kind and accommodating. The food is made to order, fresh, and authentic. The baba ghanoush and hummus are served with warmed pita and are so incredibly flavorful. This is the best Mediterranean food I found outside of Chicago.

Every fiber of my being wanted to love it here. Environmentally, I've never been more at home. This place has me thinking there's a negative correlate between formal table setups and comfort. Every dining surface was copy-pasted from church luncheon lore. Lulling me into a peaceful position, plastic chair and tablecloth combos will have me sharing diabolical information to strangers. To add to this growing acceptance, all fifty sauce offerings gathered in unity on some singular, sequestered side table. These bottles issued the friendly challenge to, "Come try us all big fella." I need this dipping accountability everywhere. Adel's welcome persisted, this time into some more specific items of locational bliss. Bathrooms have wall-mounted soap dispensers, boring. Sometimes your spare Sunoco may slap down a countertop soap dispenser and ignore filling the wall-mount, understandable. Here, they didn't fill the wall-mount and put down two countertop soaps, assertive. Something about this gesture promises efforts elsewhere, I like that. For the remainder of my carry-out wait I watched an NBA game which I soon realized to be a rerun. Playing full games of old on the lone TV (in I believe to be Arabic) is so unbelievably cool. As many close to me would know, I was dialed into this telly. Now onto the sad part. Grub was just off. Each item in my assorted platter was a little weird in flavor profile. This could be a potential missing ingredient, recipe imbalance, or simply doing more than what's necessary. I still chowed, but it didn't have me itching to return, even considering all of the aforementioned acclaim. Hoping my plate was the exception and that Adel's keeps pumping out meals for the foreseeable future. Cheers to setting the tone well.

We love Adele's! The food is amazing and the portions are so generous! We drive over from Noblesville at least once a month for this delicious fare! The owner is friendly and always cares.

Excellent gyro and super friendly service. Adel's is a much needed and much appreciated Mediterranean destination on the north side. The gyro was delicious. Not a big fan of their pre-crisped seasoned fries. I'd rather have classic crinkle style. Great for Carryout and there are several inside tables too. They may have the largest collection of hot and other sauces available on a side table for customers.

This place is def a mom and pop place. There were 2 ppl working on a Thursday lunch. You order at counter, and they bring it out. The food is good, the gyros was the star. I regret ordering the chicken Schwarma instead of the Gyros. They have plenty of different sides and specials including aveglemono lemon rice soup. I will get that the next time. You wait longer for smaller restaurants, but we did not mind. There are no fountain drinks, just a cooler of bottles and cans. The ambiance was rustic. I think they do a lot of carry out. There is a table of hot sauces, and some tables with succulents. This is not a place I would go out of my way to frequent, but if you are in the area, get some gyros.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. We went on a Wednesday during lunchtime. The owner took our order immediately, and told us what was popular (gyros) and what he recommended. I ordered the chicken shawarma, my friend ordered the gyro. Both orders were made fresh and we were served about 10-12 minutes after our orders were taken. The food was DELICIOUS. The chicken was tender and had good flavor, as did the tzatziki and hummus. My friend really enjoyed his gyro. Prices were fair too for how much food we got ($16.33 after tax for my shawarma and soda). The owner was super friendly too, and offered us THE best baklava I've had. Sweet, sticky, and just big enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. It's safe to say this spot made our favorites for office day lunches. We'll be back soon!

A little surprise with the number of happy reviews that it was pretty quiet inside. They have a number of sauces/seasonings to add, pick your choosing. Spicy Gyro with homemade Tzatziki sauce. Great gyro of nice chucks and plenty in my lunch. Sauce was good and not overpowering like some others I've had where the flavor and smell stay with you for the rest of the day. Really good and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside crinkle cut fries. OMG- the baklava! Fresh- soft- bursting with flavor tasting the honey, filo, and a background of nuts. A must! This is worth the stop if your in the area

Probably the BEST Gyros I've had in Indy! Full of flavor, fresh tzatziki sauce and a warm and fluffy pita that was the perfect compliment to the gyro! The service was great, met the owner who took my order, and came by to make sure it tasted good and what I expected. It's a smaller restaurant, yet clean and plenty of tables. There were probably only a dozen people in the restaurant when I ate, but a number of people ordered their food to go. Will definitely come back soon!

So I have been a big fan of Adels for years. A couple years back they had a fire and I was so excited to see they were back open. Finally had a chance to visit with a friend today and it could have gone much better. First and foremost they still have a huge gyro. The owner and his wife are still there. The restaurant was pretty full but no one in line at the counter. We were greeted and our offer was taken quickly. Then the wait began. It took over 35 minutes to get two gyros and fries. The pita was not warmed or if so it was cold by the time we got our meals. The meat was slightly warm and the fries were warm but wouldn't call them hot. I truly hope they can get more efficient as a lunch venue most people just don't have that long to wait for a meal. The tzatziki is really good here so if you have the time give them a try. The decor is nice and bright after the remodel.

So worth dealing with the construction to support this locally owned Carmel gem! Amazing Gyros and Baklava!

I skipped the garlic sauce after learning it contains mayo. Traditionally, it doesn't, so I'm glad I asked before ordering. The couscous was perfectly prepared, and the chopped salad was incredibly light and fresh. I could have eaten an entire bowl of it. The cilantro really makes the flavors pop. Bonus points for having Seagram's Ginger Ale in the fountain! IYKYK I was excited to see it, although the syrup had run out when I first tried it, leaving me with soda water. Fortunately, the issue was fixed quickly. My tip: ask for your chicken to be cooked fresh. The pre-prepared chicken I sampled was a bit hard and chewy, so I'm very glad I asked to taste it first. All the steak is prepared fresh, so no special request needed. It was surprisingly quiet inside, making it a great spot to work remotely, catch up with a friend, or simply enjoy a peaceful meal without distractions. I'll definitely be back very soon!

Everything was very fresh, and they had a great variety to choose from (do you want a bowl, stuffed pita, salad, or platter?) As a disciple of the Church of Latter Day Soup, having any Savory Cereal options on the menu is a big win for me, and being able to get it as a side at no additional charge is like magic these days. I got the lentil soup with my wrap and it was delicious, light, well flavored, and a good size. They had a stuffed wrap lunch deal with fries (or soup) and a drink for $10, and provided a massive pita for the price. I got the chicken shawarma with all the veggies they had and was not a bit disappointed. Ambience was also really nice! Very "cafe" feeling, but clean inside and out.

The guy working was very helpful and took the time to explain the dishes to us in the Buffett. We opted for the Buffett today (only runs fri-sun) and while I would love to tell you everything we had, I'd be lying if I said I remembered all the names of the dishes. But trust me when I say the food was fresh, hot and lots of variety. Started off with some hummus, salad, pasta salad, and some other cold sides that I forget the name. The pasta salad was fine, but def okay to skip and stick to the other sides to which you won't be disappointed! The pita was also fresh and so good! Some of the stand outs for the main dishes I LOVED the mushroom beef dish and the chicken I got was so tender it was FALL OFF THE BONE! Also their spaghetti (reminded me more of a Mac and cheese) was so creamy and packed with flavor along with corn and mushrooms. Sounds wild, but trust me - so good! It was overwhelming trying to decide what to get next and making sure I didn't over do it too much so I could try everything! Again I know this isn't the best since I don't know all the names and I have no pictures (I ate too quickly and then realized after the fact and didn't think empty/dirty dishes would be appealing). Just trust me when I say the buffet is worth it. I then had the baklava for dessert and that was also good! We can't wait to come back and order from the menu. Looking to try gyro for sure next time! Also the grocery side is great and has a lot of items and candies to choose from. Definitely a place you'll visit and not leave empty handed or hungry!

You walk in, you order at the counter, you find a table. The format is familiar. What lands in front of you is anything but ordinary. So, I am going to address the dessert situation first and without apology. I started with the baklava before the rest of the food arrived. Why? I am not a Padawan. I am a grown Jedi who has earned the right to sequence a meal however the Force sees fit, and the Force saw fit to begin with dessert. The baklava was sweet, crispy, and exactly what baklava is supposed to be when someone actually makes it properly. I considered ordering another. A Jedi exercises restraint. I waited for the rest of the order instead, which did not take long, so the sacrifice was manageable. When the full spread landed on the table the presentation alone was doing work. My partner's Greek salad with chicken kabob looked as good as it tasted, which turned out to be very good. I sampled the chicken kabob and it paired beautifully with my roasted red potatoes, which came out tasting like olive oil and lemon pepper had a perfect collaboration and decided to coat every potato equally. My Street Gyro had the kind of meat to vegetable ratio that suggests whoever assembled it understood the assignment. Good balance technically, but the balance leaned toward more meat, which is the correct direction to lean. The Ruffles chips that came alongside were a chaotic and welcome addition to an otherwise Mediterranean operation. Nobody saw that coming. I respected it. My partner finished the chocolate chip cookies and had no complaints. I had no complaints about anything. Taziki's is not trying to be a sit down Greek dining experience and it does not need to be. It does what it does cleanly, consistently, and with enough flavor to bring us back the next time the craving for Greek food makes its presence known in the Force.
