Busy on a Sunday at noon~ But, understandable as a place that promotes " Breakfast All Day!". We opted to sit at the counter instead of waiting 15 min. Ordered the Tumbleweed bbq chicken salad ( has sprigs of onion rings on top), a fair amount of diced bbq chicken, tomatoes. Great presentation & a large amount of greens. G ordered the SF Joe's Scramble & was really impressed! Served in a skillet with a notable portion of ground beef & spinach. The service was impeccable. Sitting at the counter can sometimes be distracting ( as all the activity from the servers & kitchen are in full view). But, not for us. Not here. My most recent visit was a very pleasant experience! My friend and I were seated in a booth right away, and brought fresh coffee while we perused the menu. We both ordered vegetable omelettes but asked for sides of salsa and for chicken breast to be added to the omelettes. We asked for no cheese, and our waitress made sure to clarify whether or not we wanted to opt out of sour cream as well. She was very thoughtful. The servers were very attentive, and the atmosphere was great. I would compare this restaurant to a Denny's. We arrived in Eureka on Thanksgiving eve and quickly realized how hard it was to find an open restaurant. Everywhere we called was closed. We had a large party of 7 so we definitely had to find a restaurant and not fast food. Thankfully, Adel's was right beside our hotel and still open! We went in and saw they were advertising a "Thanksgiving special" with turkey, so we ordered 3 of those. We also ordered rare rib eye steak, a cheeseburger, 2 haystack burgers. The portions were huge! The turkey was tender, moist, and flavorful. It came with mixed veggies, stuffing, and rolls, which were delicious. We ordered the rib eye steak rare, it was tender and juicy, and it included a side of french fries. Cheeseburger was for the kid, who loved it. My friend and I had the haystack burger. One word: delicious. It had and thick patty, bacon, avocado, lettuce, onion rings, I'm sure I'm forgetting something else. It was so good. Came with a side of fries too. After our meal, we ordered ice cream. A great end to and great meal. Aside from the great food, our server was extremely friendly and accomodating. She seated and took orders from our large party, and was patient with our indecision. A bit of water was spilled on the table, she came and cleaned the water away and replaced our napkins and utensils that were wet. We were sure to leave a generous tip because it's rare to get such good service at the restaurants we usually eat at. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a place to eat to check Adel's out, you won't regret it. I'll definitely keep this place bookmarked for my next visit. read more

I went in requesting gluten free. They screwed up my steak three times and it wasn't gluten free. They didn't even bring the correct type of steak after overcooking the first ribeye. I will be dealing with days of internal bleeding and am very sick. This is not a restaurant for anyone who has allergies or dietary restrictions. We stopped at Adel's on our drive through town on a recent Saturday. We had the kids (8 and 5) in tow, and figured this would be a greasy dive offering the kinds of food that kids would enjoy. The food was fine, as expected. They serve breakfast at lunchtime, and the food was exactly what you would expect for breakfast comfort food. I would have given 4 stars, except the service was pretty terrible. We ordered beverages (I had a soda, and my wife had coffee), and did not get 1 refill. Other than taking our order and delivering our food, we were not checked on once. This was after the lunch rush (maybe 1:30PM), so they weren't that terribly busy. As we were not-quite-wrapped up with our lunch, instead of coming over and offering a refill, our server dropped our bill off and started picking up our plates (which we were still kind of eating a few bits off of). read more

Came here for dinner. The service was good, although we had to wait for a table even though there were so many empty ones. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. Although service was a bit slow, she was really attentive still. The food was pretty good. I got a skillet and it was really filling and good. Although the jalapeños were weird. This place is close to several motels and is right on Hwy 101, so that was a definite plus for us traveling down the 101. Service was a bit slow at times, however, the food was good. I had the biscuits and gravy, and while the biscuits and gravy themselves were good, the hash browns were nothing to write home about. My mom loved her "taco potato" and it was so big, 2 people could have eaten from it. Prices were a bit high, but this is a tourist area, so that is to be expected. read more

In Eureka for work and this place is near the hotel. Always saw lots of cars in parking lot so decided to give it a go. Staff was very friendly and service was prompt. I ordered the Rib Eye steak dinner. Steak was a tad undercooked but nothing to get in a fit about. Meat was juicy and tender. Was very surprised by that, usually diner steaks are like chewing a leather boot. Baked potato was spot on as well. Salad left something to be desired and the only reason no 5 stars. Not to sure if the salad dressing was old or some of the lettuce. Overall I enjoyed the experience and will return in the future. read more

Waffles were tasty Food came out so much faster than I expected. Cons: Food was subpar. I got a skillet and it wasn't appetizing at all. Not much flavor and the avocado was very unripe. For diner coffee, it sucked. Not enough sugar and creamer could fix it. And the reason this place gets 2 stars from me is because I came with my family. 2 children. My baby needed a diaper change (poopy diaper) and they have no changing table. I had to dirty his blankets to lay him on the floor to change him. It's 2016, that is just not acceptable. read more

This restaurant, to me feels about the same caliber as a Marie Calendar. Nicely decorated, clean and a varied menu. I don't live in Eureka but have eaten at this restaurant before. My previous meal was fine, service good but basically unremarkable. Tonight's meal was fantastic. I ordered the shrimp and avocado salad. First of all the salad was huge. It wasn't just a bowl of lettuce. This salad included almost and entire avocado, sliced hard boiled egg, shredded cheese, cherry tomatoes but more importantly at least 10 very large shrimp that were very fresh and prepared perfectly. These ingredients were all arranged beautifully with dressing on the side. It was fabulous. Our server was fast but friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be filling our requests. I was looking forward to thIs dinner except when I got my food the potatoes were almost raw, the toast was near burnt, and the chili is my chili cheese omelet tasted like I it came from a dollar discount store. My daughter got a chicken strips dinner and they were flavorless and I could not detect any flavor of chicken. My grandkids fries were good. read more

I've had better. My wife and family friend both ordered the Mexican dish skillet they both agreed it was very tasty. Picked this diner since it was next door to our hotel. Like a lot of small town diners, this is the type of place you are better off ordering coffee and breakfast (which they serve all day). My pancakes with eggs and sausage was good, good coffee, my youngest enjoyed her french toast sticks. Yummy desserts. The minus two stars is for my other daughters very tough and dry (leftover steak?) french dip. And also for the fact we brought it up both to the waitress and to the hostess upon paying bill, and there was no offer to comp the meal. Lesson was learned though by daughter... stick to diner breakfasts! read more

From the outside and inside it is a sorry establishment.. but in my humble opinion most of the best breakfast joints are this way. Not a hole in the wall but a far cry from even the mediocrity of "Snooze"... I've been a patron of this restaurant for many months now and sadly I don't believe I'll ever be going back. Last time I was here, (about a week ago), during my meal my server went on break and I was given another.. this is normal, no issue.. but my new server got busier and busier- so I sat, unattended and ignored.. I'll state that I'm not upset at the server, no.. it wasn't until I asked a passing staff member for a cup of coffee to go so I could pay my check and leave, that I got one of the nastiest "are you seriously asking me to do this?" expressions I've ever been given by a restaurant employee. She was doing the duty of Host, but everyone there does so I'm not sure what her position is. She looks like a karen so she shan't be hard to miss.. come to think of it, if it wasn't for the Dixie sized coffee cup she gave me to go, I'd have assumed she suffers from resting b**** face. I've gone to Adele's with my mom several times as a child. When I was five, I was simply awestruck by the hot pink sugar in pretty jars. I used to love it there. More recently, as in just over three years ago, I went there on a double date with my fiance and a couple of friends from work. We were thrilled with the giant sundae that the four of us shared (and were unable to finish) for just over seven bucks. Until I realized...they had a whole section of the restaurant where they were only seating overweight people. The "pretty" people were more up-front and visible, while the "not-so-pretties" were in the back where you couldn't see them very well. Not that I spend my days looking at other customers, but it's a little ridiculous to be hiding "fat people" as we heard a waitress refer to them when speaking to another waitress. read more

Husband got two large flapjacks while I indulged in eggs with biscuits and gravy. Waitress was very attentive and our order came promptly and exactly as we ask. This is a very good place to go if you have a large group with different tastes. My brother can get breakfast while I order chicken with gravy kind of thing. My kids love the food and the service is great. We go here often when the family is all together. I highly recommend the chicken Marsala and the chicken with country gravy.
