I purchased a pair of shoes for my son for $150. After four weeks they started coming apart at the seams. I thought this would be an easy exchange and when I went to the store, the person they called the lead came up to help me and because I only had proof of purchase through my credit card statement they wouldn't change out the product and replace it. It's not at all the kind of customer service I would've expected from Adidas. Definitely deter from buying your product again in the future I would consider revising that policy. read more

The new Montgomery location is a huge improvement over the last location. The prior location felt cramped with everything closely packed together. At the new location it feels somewhat "Under ground" with the back door entrance, and the bare concrete and metal interior. The overall space is much larger and well spaced out without feeling cramped or distant. All the staff interactions I had were pleasant and they tried to help me in anyway that I can. One thing to note while shopping here is that the size availability is limited, but otherwise the selection is great. The 50% discount is hard to beat and can only be compared when going to a Premium Outlet. read more

Being that it was Christmas shopping season, we didn't know if we'd have any luck with the shoes. there was a brief line outside of the store but we were able to get inside soon enough. I scored a pass here during a recent trip to Portland and it was definitely worth it! A single pass is good for a one-time use of up to 5 people, so bring your friends and fam! The store itself is pretty huge, well lit, and easy to navigate. There are also plenty of associates around to help if needed. There's so many shoes and tons of apparel and equipment! They're not very open about this(I was struggling to find a shoe my size and no one offered me this but someone nice offered it to my dad). He seemed upset that they were playing with a ball in the floor in line.Very briefly making a decision whether to purchase. Then he starts swearing under his breath. An amazing store! You'd think that with it being a store with crazy traffic, that the customer service would be terrible and that the store would look like a battle ground. That wasn't the case at all! I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit the store. My friend works for a company and I guess that Adidas paired up with them, because he and all of his co workers got passes to the store. We made the drive down from Seattle to Portland, in hopes of getting some great deals on shoes! During the drive down, I noticed that some of the negative reviews are about the store not being open to the general public. I mean, the title of the store is Adidas Employee Store soo? I've never been to the Nike employee store due to me not knowing anybody that works at Nike, yet you don't see me writing bad reviews about not getting access. It's kind of a self explanatory situation. Upon entering the store, there is a check in desk. The employee verifies your pass, and then they hand you a sticker that you hand the clerk at checkout to get the discount. The sticker is really small, so make sure that you keep it in a safe place! I read reviews about some customers having issues with check-in, but my friends and I got in without a hassle. All of the merchandise is marked original price, and then you take an additional 50% off of the price. As I was browsing the shoes, I overheard a customer ask an employee if there's a cap limit on how many pairs you can buy. It was loud in there due to how busy it was, so I don't remember the exact number. I remember him saying that there is a cap limit, but it was pretty high. Something along the lines of 10 shoes per style. Don't take me on my word for that number though. Just know that there's a cap limit, but it's extremely high and reasonable. They had great selections to choose from! NMDs, Ultra-boosts, classic Allstars, etc. I was surprised by the wide selections that they had. They also had a majority, if not all of the sizes for every shoe. The employees were actively restocking every shelf, and they were also actively putting away shoes that customers left lying around. When an employee was picking up unwanted shoes, he made sure to ask if they weren't mine instead of just putting them away. All of the employees kept busy, and they weren't just standing around talking. If you don't see your size for a shoe you want, be sure to ask an employee to check the back. I didn't think that they would have back-stock, but they did! Even if you wear a common size, more than likely they'll still have your size if you ask for a stock check. I wear a 6.5, and I was able to find my size in every shoe that I was interested in. I had an encounter with over 4 different employees during my time there, and every single one of them were friendly. They didn't make me feel like I was bothering them, and they were very helpful with questions. My friends and I started checking out during closing time, so the line wasn't too long. The lines moved really quickly, and the employees also double checks your shoes at checkout to make sure that the size matches the box! I would also like to mention that they swap out styles frequently. Not all of the photos that you see on here, will be available at the store. My friend wanted a certain color way of NMDs, but we didn't see them there when we went. When he went back to work, his co worker who had went to the store earlier in the month said that they had the shoes my friend wanted. All in all, it was a fun experience! The store is really hectic with people buying multiple pairs of shoes since they're such a great price. They also had a wide variety of apparel, but I didn't really check out that section. You'll see people lugging around huge Adidas store shopping tote bags, and it can get claustrophobic. Just make sure to be polite to one another! In total I got 4 pairs of shoes for $225, with a retail value of $550. Best of all, it's Portland so no sales tax! Note: Although I went in under my friend's pass, the employee at the check-in gave us separate stickers so we didn't have to pay together. read more

While Adidas Employee Store passes used to be illusive to me, I've found ways over the years to get into the Adidas Employee Store. There are a few organizations I'm a part of that give me, and sometimes a guest, quarterly (or more frequently, yearly) access to the store. On top of this, when I score a physical employee store pass from friends/coworkers, I appreciate that one pass gets five people in. I recently procured an illusive Nike pass which was awesome, but it only granted one person in + their immediate family/spouse (with proof of ID showing that the people live at the same address). I'm impressed with Adidas' new employee store. The former store in North Portland was much smaller and had a small parking lot to go along with it. Their new employee store is probably double the size and filled with their latest street clothes, workout clothes, shoes, bags, etc. When I say latest, I really do mean latest! On the day of my last visit to the employee store, Adidas dropped their brand new Arizona Iced Tea shoe collaboration online. One of their mens shoes in the collection was already sold out online, and they had them in the store for 50% off! It was amazing. My partner got a pair and is stoked about them. I also got a pair from the collaboration as well! I normally get shoes while I'm here (they have Pureboosts, NMDs, etc.) since they're normally really expensive. I also have two backpacks from here that are sporty yet stylish enough for work and functional. At 50% off retail price, they were a steal! If you like Adidas merchandise and if you're able to get a pass, you'll love this place. 50% off retail price? Yes please! Who doesn't love discount shopping and when its 50% off retail prices , I would suggest running not walking to the store .The store has moved to the Montgomery park area and this was my first time at this location . The floor space is slightly bigger than the old one and the parking is no more a problem. The check-in process was easy , however I did not see any shopping bags at all . Its a minor inconvenience to have to carry all the boxes and clothes in your hand ,all the time you are shopping. Employees are helpful without being intrusive .I love the bright color selection of shoes at Adidas and the pricing is great as well . In all honesty,I feel the men's collection has much more choice than the female options when it comes to clothes at this Employee store . It has been a long time since I visited the employee store and this is my first time visiting since their move to the new location and overall I'm impressed. They have a great selection of clothes and shoes (greater female selections here than Nike in my opinion) and with 50% off new releases, you have yourself a steal! They also have some unique collaborations, such as Star Wars NMDs for this holiday season. They seem to shuffle the styles quite frequently. I was here Saturday and again today and certain styles and colorways were already replaced with something else. I would recommend coming during a weekday versus a weekend, if you can, as it does get jammed pack on weekends, which doesn't make for a great shopping experience. My Saturday trip was chaotic (understandable since it's the holiday season) as people were basically shoulder to shoulder, making maneuvering around the store difficult and relinquished my shopping mood immediately. Workers were also a lot more tense. Coming here Wednesday was a different story. A lot less busy and workers were a lot more patient and nicer. The parking lot is quite compact, even for a prius driver like myself. Glad to have access and look forward to future trips. read more

Got a pass from a friend valid for a month. I'm usually a Nike fan. With 50% off, I'm curious to check it out. First time at the store - Very nice building to have the store in. Hard to find its customer parking, so I have to park on the street. Nice selection in the store. But very low inventory on size S or XS. I usually go by size S for Nike. But I like adidas classic ones. It's frustrating to find my size clothing. Size S is too big for me. And they don't have XS. :( Staff are super friendly. I automatically was given another pass for the next month. I guess they would like you come back again and again... The next time I came back is for returning the shoes I bought for my son which is too small. It is weird when you come back just for return or exchange. Finally! A revamped adidas employee store that actually is almost there! Without a few gripes here and there, this place is definitely the go-to spot for Adidas apparel. One of the things I liked was the increased space. The last one seemed very tight and jam-packed to where everyone was bumping into each other. Now with this new location, there is definitely more room to view apparel/clothing/shoes with your own personal space. Along with the bigger space comes with bigger selection, and it mainly applies for the shoes. A lot of the times the shoes in the past location weren't as spread out and some of the shoes I looked for (mainly ultraboosts) weren't 50% off. Now this new location features tons of new shoes and colorways for 50% off as well, aside from the new releases/limited editions. Now one thing I've always hated is just the amount of apparel/lifestyle clothes. One thing Nike has always done exceptionally well is that they always have the same amount of selection in both footwear and clothing department while Adidas usually tends to lack in one department. Same ideology applies to this store. Yes the shoe inventory has increased dramatically along with the price reduction, but the minimal selection of clothing sometimes makes this place feel limited to only shoes. Overall though, great place. New location, new look, new customer service. Everything is awesome. I love adidas and I love the idea of 50% off! I booked a time slot on the app and came here with my boyfriend. We went on a Saturday and it is insanely packed so I would advise to go on a weekday so you're not scrambling with the crowds. I honestly felt like there wasn't an expansive amount of options for women in terms of shoes. I know that the employee store is treated like an outlet but some of the shoes weren't really nice and there's only like 10 to choose from versus the 40 pairs that men get to choose from. Super easy to get passes - we just went to the travel portland office in the square in downtown and got 1 pass. 1 pass allows 5 people in so our group was set. Everything is half off the original price so don't be alarmed when you look at the prices on the tags. Luckily there were Stella McCartney ultra boosts ($230 originally) for the women... but no ultra boosts for men. Was disappointed that they ran out of sizes for superstars, but can't complain because I got so many other shoes instead! We got a pass from something we had attended... I was sooo stoked!! The building isn't marked on the side you drive in from and we thought we were in the wrong place at first. Honestly, I think you'd be better off at the outlets. They run sales on their items, and have a larger selection. Everything here was at full price, then you take off 50%. Hard to justify when you can find a lot of the same things for way less elsewhere, like the outlets or Ross. Most of the usual sizes are sold out. We bought a hat and a pair of socks. No shoes were in any of our sizes. Possibly the one cool thing was the soccer section, but again, nothing in our sizes. It was very clean and well merchandised. Lots of workers to help if needed. We went on a Sunday and it was totally dead. That would be one benefit over the outlets, I guess. I won't be headed back anytime soon, if ever. read more
