There is a restaurant within this store, which people are reviewing on this page--Amma's Kitchen--but has it's own Yelp page, so this review is just for the store. Basically, you come here for the groceries and not the customer service, unless you know the staff. They have the rare south Indian gems that cannot be found in most of the other Indian stores (various Daily Delight products), along with regular Indian groceries. Great meat-and-potatoes (without the meat) vegetarian restaurant that makes food to order. Fresh, decent quality, with good ingredients and execution, and reasonable prices, the only thing that holds this place back is the hidden location and lack of advertising. I tend to stop by here for samosas to-go at least once or twice a week. Both sauces they provide are great albeit with different flavors, pending diners' preferences. Highly recommended. read more

Average food, good service, and decent prices (for dosas). This restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall "cafe". The Indian food here is more South Indian (than North Indian curries, etc.). The quality of the food is just average. The prices for dosas are very reasonable (even better than competitors), but the taste and quality is slightly below average. The sambar doesn't taste good and the dosas (Rava) are just edible; they aren't crispy nor are the ingredients portioned right. I feel other Indian restaurants in the area might be a better option. The service is good though; the lady up in the front is kind and attentive. The atmosphere is very basic though; it is a part of grocery store and not many people dine in. The Ambiance, service and food is nothing to brag about. The food is not consistent which could improve a lot.

This is small in size, inside a spice store, but very big in taste. A true gem especially for Indian cuisine. Last Friday my wife and I went there after work and we were astonished with the quality of food. We had Mysore masala dosa and healthy spring dosa, both were out of this world. Vegetarian got my attention. I really enjoyed the food from here. Yes, this is a hole in the wall, but the food is excellent. I got the vegitarian special for $9. Cheapest take home buffet I have seen. This food has real spice and flavor, no bs just some really nice flavors at a good price. I wouldn't take a date here, but I'd certainly get some takeout and tend to my date at home.... They have really good prices on MTR Packaged meals in the attached store as well. In most cities I travel to, the meal I got tonight would have cost 18-25 bucks. I got 10 distinct items for $9! Almost zero after sale service. Bought a ready to use batter mix the other day picked up via curbside delivery outside their store, i.e. they picked this one out of their stock - turned out to be covered in fungus when opened a couple days later. Informed the store, sent pics of the rancid batter. They refused to acknowledge the issue, said they wanted to see this for themselves, and was curtly told to bring the batter back - in the middle of Covid-19 stay at home! So, I would have to get in my vehicle and make the multi-mile trek back to the store just to bring back one package of batter. These bozos lack commonsense, and they are rude and boorish. Worst customer service I just experienced in their restaurant !!!!!! The guy at the restaurant yelled at me for canceling the order within 4 mins of taking as we were stuck in the traffic I was ready to take care of the financial charges but he yelled back at me saying he did not want my money . This was the plc I used to go v regular earlier , will never go there unless they teach some proper customer service to their employees. They just lost a very good client !!!!!! We went there around 6:45 and the place was not very crowded. We ordered and the food came out in about 10 minutes. We ordered some more about 20 minutes later and it had started getting crowded, also there was a rush for take out orders. Our order came out in 40 minutes this time, huh... we were no more hungry as the frustration of waiting so long was enough to kill my hunger. the place can get crowded easily, not much seating. If you are in a group of 4 or more, it would be hard to find seating together when it is busy. Food is average. read more

Good pav bhaji and their "amma's feast" has greatly improved over the past few months. The other items on their menu are alright. The thali can get monotonous with the same items reappearing in a week. But otherwise, a great place for vegetarian / vegan enthusiasts. read more

Good Indian grocery store, fairly priced. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They stock organic groceries from India, the first of kind I have seen anywhere. The fresh produce section though can be upgraded. And it helps that Amma's kitchen, a great vegetarian cafe, is part of the store. The store also has a good Indian movies DVD collection. read more

Although I'm not Indian, I really like the lunches served at the cafe, and for the price, you can't beat it! Plus, the dining setting has a bit of an ambiance being tiny and quaint. The adjoining store has a wide variety of food, including fresh produce, frozen foods, and refrigerated foods like idli. Plus, the employees are always more than willing to show me where items are and explain what different foods are if I need an explanation. The store even sells a few artifacts from India, and you can purchase imported King Fisher beer if you get there on the right day. read more

This is the best and clean Indian Grocery store where you can actually take a shopping cart and go in between the Isles. The storekeepers and the cashiers are both helpful. They also hold items for you just with a phone call. The fresh produce is either a hit or a miss.
