I have reviewed and updated the cantina in years prior. But I gotta say this is the ONLY restaurant with Mexican food and drink I'll ever patronize again! Food: Always freshly made, yummy and great ingredients are used. Their drinks actually have alcohol in them. The Cadillac Marguerite is BOMB! Oh and I must mention their chips, salsa and guacamole. I think they sprinkle tajin on the chips! Service: wait staff is stable! In the years I've been patronizing this business, you become familiar with the wait staff. They always come by the table to check in on your needs. They are not pushy about taking your order either. Ambience: it's all in the outdoors! The front patio can accommodate small and large parties; the patio is terraced. But they have a large back patio as well! If you haven't been here, bring your business here. The atmosphere was great, not too loud, so that you could hold a conversation. You were able to choose your table when you walked in. There was outdoor seating on both sides of the building, which was nice to have a couple of options, although we chose to sit in doors with it being so warm out. The server was very attentive, answered our questions regarding the menu items, and kept my water coming. Most important is that you do receive chips and salsa while you wait. Wasn't the best chips and salsa, but it's nice to have something to munch on while waiting to order. As for the food, my cousin didn't seem to care for her shrimp cocktail. It was made more like cerviche, and she commented that it wasn't very flavorful. I think it probably would depend on the person trying out it. She did, however, love the seafood burrito. She said it was very filling and a nice blend of flavors. As for my meal, I expected more flavor from the chicken fajitas. The chicken didn't taste as if it was seasoned, so most of the flavor I received was from the peppers and onions alone. There were also a few bitess of the chicken that we over cooked. The rice that accompanied the fajitas was nice and light. The portion was plenty to have leftovers. I chose the flour tortillas, but you do have the option of corn. Can't say that I would be on this side of Mexico again to stop in again, but I'd definitely suggest you checking them out of you are !! read more

Adobe Cantina is such a great restaurant! The food and service are great. We love going there to eat on the patio. We recently had our high school reunion there (for the second time). The staff was very accommodating and the space was perfect. We were very lucky to have such a great venue so close to where we went to school. read more

Is this place under new management I wonder? I haven't been here for a while so we thought we'd stop by and I got the lobster and spinach quesadilla which was my absolute favorite. It was just a watery mess! My husband got the enchiladas. Both came out real hot as though they were microwaved. The chips on the table were stale.We were the only ones in the restaurant, and the service was just terrible. I had to actually go up to the waiter and give him my credit card as he was talking with another worker upfront for a very long time. I stopped off and went to the bathroom, which was absolutely filthy. Never again! read more

Stopped by Adobe Cantina in Agora Hills for lunch on our way home from our little morning hike in Malibu. It's a little cute Mexican restaurant with great food that my kids really enjoyed! Service was a little on the slow side but we enjoyed our lunch there regardless. We sat inside because it was a pretty hot day in December, but I really loved the outside area it was so cute! We ordered a Mexican Cob Salad, Ceviche and Carnitas Quesadillas. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the ceviche. read more

This is a wonderful gem, a beautiful restaurant with colorful finishes on the structure. As a guest, you can choose to dine in at the indoor part of it or outside. They have two outdoor areas to choose from. They've been here since 1997. Their margaritas are awesome. Chips are on the house I love the little paprika they put on it. All their manu items are generous and flavorful, I forgot to take a picture of my chorizo and ribeye quesadilla. It was to great and was finished in seconds. Ricardo is Awesome. read more

Always a good experience here. The. outdoor ambiance is especially appealing. The food is always flavorful, each dish I've had served as it should; hot, neither over or undercooked, not oily or greasy and with appropriate side dishes. I've never been disappointed. Charming outdoor patio. The music wasn't too loud, and it was a welcome space despite the heat because there was a baby shower being held inside the restaurant.  I really appreciated the server's willingness to offer recommendations and even a taste of the mole. Almost as soon as we sat down, they brought out salsa and chips. The chips were fresh and crisp, and the salsa was a little spicy. Our drinks came out quickly, too. I am not sure what the white fish in the fish taco was, but I liked this taco better than the pibil.  The tacos came with a small side of beans cooked in water and topped with a bit of cheese. The ribs were moist, tasty, and fell off the bone. It came with shoestring fries and a bit of coleslaw. Plus, the restaurant has an A rating from the health department. The restaurant is hard to see from the street. We wouldn't have found it without our GPS. There are a few parking spaces next to the restaurant and also street parking. read more

I've been coming to Adobe Cantina since I was young. I hadn't been in awhile and it's still the same great place. Service was amazing! Everyone was helping each other out and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The chips and salsa are amazing and make sure to try the queso fondito with the chips to start! My Fajitas this time were good. Not enough chicken for all the peppers and onions they give you in my opinion. My husband had the Lobster enchiladas and enjoyed them. The bean and cheese burrito got a great review from my sister as well. The margaritas are always good speaking from previous visits! This place can handle big parties and they have a lovely patio. A decent place to host a large group with a big outdoor patio area. The food is pretty simple and didn't stand out imo, but wasn't bad. Service was pretty good and prompt. I ended up getting a Carne Asada Burrito. It came with a red sauce over it and cheese. Inside had some beans, rice, and onions. The meat ratio was pretty standard too. It was an simple and straightforward burrito. They also have complimentary Chips and Salsa. The standout for me is their Habanero Salsa that you have to request. That was actually my favorite item here. A very good heat with smoky elements that definitely elevates their cuisine. read more

I have been coming here with my family since I was about 5 years and over the years, Adobe has done their best to keep upgrading both the restaurant and menu!! It's my favorite place to bring friends for some of the best margaritas you'll find and delicious Mexican food. The margaritas are strong AND taste delicious, which can be hard to find! My favorite items to order are the chicken enchiladas, chile relleno, steak fajitas, and the chicken caesar salad - my boyfriend and best friend love the burritos and my mom always wants her lobster tacos! The desserts are also delicious and my favorite is the churro sundae. Like I said, I've been coming here since I was 5 and I'm 28 now and in that time, the food has always been great, the service from the restaurant staff always makes you feel like family, and the vibes are immaculate. This was my first time going here and I have to tell you it was very, very nice. We walked in, and we were greeted immediately by the host who asked if we would like to be inside or enjoy a nice weather in the patio. We chose the patio, And we're given our choice of tables. As soon as we were seated, the waiter came and took our drink order and told us to take our time . I chose the chicken and mole and my girlfriend had the salmon. The chicken was very moist and the rice and beans that accompanied it were excellent. My girlfriend kept saying how good her salmon was and she gave me a taste and she was right it had a flavor that I can't describe. It was great. Oh, and one more thing, the prices were great . I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have my wedding at this beautiful restaurant. The service was excellent and all my guests raved about the food and appetizers. Jose really went above and beyond to make sure all went as planned. Thanks to him I just had to show up to my wedding! He handled everything from decoration to coordinating with vendors. Their was easy flow and great communication throughout the whole event. My guest were also greatly pleased with the ambiance, excellent service and amazing food. I haven't been here for a couple of years. I thought I remembered this place having decent food but maybe it was the margaritas. I had two hard shell Carne Asada tacos. The tacos were flavorless and looked like something that you'd put together from a Ortega pre-made taco hard-shell that came off the shelves in Ralph's market. The salsa wasn't really a salsa but Pico de Gallo. When asked for salsa, they brought me Tapatio. I'm a white boy but I could make a way better more authentic taco and salsa. They do however have a nice patio that was extended and enlarged since the pandemic so there's plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture but if you envision a Taco Bell taco with sour cream on top, that's it (but with Carne Asada). read more
